Honestly I’d dig this.
It doesn’t really affect me I guess because Oni’s theme already slaps and Blight’s does too (they’re my two mains) but it’d be super nice to just throw on the music when I’m playing someone else.
and as for the pocket entity thing, I’d pay for that if it was a standalone game.

Out of these two, Yui.
Overall, Joey.

Exactly, this doesn't affect gameplay, and hoy do you know if it affects me or not, you know nothing about me besides that fact that I hate the fact that BHVR would rather invest in a creative team producing content instead of increasing their investment in quality of life work.
"How do you know if it affects me or not"
gee, I wonder.

I am claiming that this takes time and resources and budgeting away from teams who can actually fix gameplay issues.
They 👏 Are 👏 Separate 👏 Teams👏
And don't even start with something like "well they should have put more resources into gameplay than into this" Because for all 6 years of DBD's life, this has been the case. This doesn't effect the overall game or you at all.
-
You're doing a significant amount of caring for someone who claims this doesn't matter

Honestly it's mixed for me.
I know how strong it can be, but seeing a survivor Dead Hard into a wall is and always has been comedic gold.

Maybe not, but teabagging AND clicking too?🤔
good point

Being sadistic, from the Oxford Languages definitions, means "deriving pleasure from inflicting pain, suffering, or humiliation on others". Which is the intent of those I described, especially those who want to flashlight macro all times and don't just do some funny tbags or just want to provocate you a bit in a funny way.
I’m sorry but someone teabagging you at a pallet does not make them a sadistic sociopath

That’s not how I’d describe “sadistic” lol

Wait, he's a War Criminal???? :o
He dropped bombs on a bunch of civilians by accident and got angry/sad NOT because thousands of lives were lost, but because the bombs were dropped on the wrong group of people.

-Yun-Jin would win because she has experience with business
-Ace would cheat (he is Ace)
-Jonah would lose first because war criminals are always bad at Monopoly (it’s true)

Video Horror Society is in closed beta right now and it only has original characters/content, unlike DBD which has a mix of licensed and original. I'm very much looking forward to the release because I think it has a lot of promise as a horror assym game.
Despite appearing more casual I think it’s more competitively viable for sure, so I’ll be interested to see if it becomes a rival to Dbd or not.

The cooler Yamaoka, Oni.
-
Almost as disgusting as Blight’s rituals not being called “rite of the Blight”
-
It shortens the time between hitting the survivor and catching up. It’s also super good on Slinger, Clown, and Demo.

I am complaining about a killer running a third-party app for unfair advantage (aka cheating), yes
For clarity, is your post referencing the third party app or 180 flicks in general?

Faced an Oni like this recently and it was ridiculous. Everybody was dropping like flies.
Doesn't Oni (similar to Blight) have a hard cap with this sensitivity or something? I'm on console so I wouldn't be able to pull off these antics.
If this isn’t something you can do on console then it’s certainly not an intended mechanic.
I may want to stop trying to learn it then lol

Like i said, even with no dpi you can do that if you flick the mouse hard enough,
...If you have space on your mousepad that is
Yes, but you cannot do it within one singular frame.
-
@Verconissp said:
Watched the first one, the 2nd swing he did was a Normal swing, not a dpi swing,
I can do that without using a dpi flick since you can position the camera to look right while going wide left to make the corner https://clips.twitch.tv/DarkTalentedRaisinPermaSmug-reN08fW8D66byTsH Like so.
the turn at the start is the swing is fast, but with dpi you just quickly turn without looking like you turned at all,
However even then, it's mainly a visual on how quick he turned, it's also down to mainly flicks,
It's a little hard to see but he does in fact turn within a single frame in the second clip. You can see that he's facing the wall but after he looks up he's instantly facing the window
-
Should the DPI hotkey thing go away? Absolutely.
However it should be noted that you can perform 180 Oni flicks without modifying your DPI or even in-game sensitivity. What this guy does is simply make it so he can do this in a single frame, which goes without saying is not fair (took a little to see but he does instantly face the window in the second clip you provided). Normally, 180 flicks take some time for Oni to spin around, meaning you can kind of play around them. Just so you know the difference.
I'm honestly undecided on if they should stay in the game or not because survivors Dead Harding through Oni while dashing can be quite annoying.
-
Faster teleporting speed + reduced recharge time is actually super useful
-
Acting like the Dbd community is not just one group of players but instead two separate groups of survivor mains and killer mains.
Results in stereotyping of players of certain sides and makes everyone a whole lot more toxic.
-
I’ve noticed that a lot of people like to make themselves think that they’re the players that the devs side against, their role is the more challenging one, so they should be proud that they’re fighting against the entitled and spoiled other side.
it creates an environment of inflated pride, double standards, and division between the community.
-
How does a survivor get grabbed out of a locker when healthy and suddenly be heavily wounded if they escape the killer’s grasp?
-

It does not matter, If Oni is set on killing me, then I am dying. No way around it.
That being said, I’d probably pick Oni. Seeing Oni and Oni fight each other would be funny.
-
I work on whatever archives or dailies I need to get done, and go out of my way to kick gens, pallets, and walls for those points. If survivors want to farm, I farm. Otherwise I play normally but nicer.

Knowing when to use your power and when to let them bleed is part of what makes a good Oni because it depends on a great number of things. Do they have boons? Medkits? If so you have to commit or they heal up. Hitting multiple survivors is the best way to get your power and sometimes it's worth using your power on an injured person to down the quickly for pressure or sometimes just hold on to it. There is no end all be all you just have to judge the situation as they come. I will say if you can get two quick hits on multiple survivors that is the play over milking one injured person though, when able.
This was very helpful, thanks!

(Killer main)
-all survivors spawn together at the beginning of the match.
-grabs off of unhooks are no longer a thing.
-
@Veinslay said:
I'm just putting down that the match was unfun and extremely frustrating if 4 or 5 gens are done but if I stomp with 3 or 4 gens left I'm saying it's extremely fun and fair
How dare survivors do gens, I agree.
they should just learn to stand still
-
Just the fact that Evil Dead and VHS exist will be motivation for BHVR to improve. Competition is healthy because of this.
-
Hi, I literally JUST committed to a challenge where I play Oni only for two months solid, so with that said let me tell you why Blood Fury is so long.
-Oni lacks any power at all until he gets Blood Fury for the first time.
-Demon Dashing causes Blood Fury to deplete faster.
-Downing someone in Blood Fury causes you to instantly lose a chunk of its duration.
you could argue that you can just chase a survivor for the whole duration, but if you do that you have now completely used your power for ONE survivor, while the others have likely healed, reducing the amount of blood you have to work with, and done gens.

Yeah.
I play killer mostly, but I've also played plenty of survivor in my time.

yeah, I'm fair, unlike Oni
If you don't respect people for using unfair things in DBD (Which why would you but idk how else to word this) then that's a lot of respect to not give.
Also I think Oni is pretty balanced but you're entitled to your own opinion!
-
Nancies are always gods

I discovered Dbd when Oni came out but I didn’t start playing until a while after that.
I remember watching Noob3 and Painrelievers a lot before I finally decided to play the game for myself
Anyway, time really does fly!

Be kind to one another, even those you disagree with. I'm thankful DBD has an inclusive community.
I’m thankful too. And I’m happy that BHVR has been so inclusive and supportive as well, with adding pride charms and having an LGBT character.
