This is a competitive game, and people just don't have anything to do, so they take to curing their boredom by wasting other people's time. It's a big ego boost for them as well.
-
I'd say camping is when a killer is inside of the range of Kindred. Outside of it wouldn't be camping, but rather proxying.

Mobile actually has bots who take over seamlessly when a survivor or killer disconnects.
Yes, but the mobile version is less competitive as console or PC. I haven't seen the bots in action before, but I'm going to guess they act just like the tutorial bots...brainless.

Dc penalties are healthy for this game. I have had 1 dc penalty for 5 minutes from a small outage but never again. Literally only stops people like you who want to dc every game with no penalty.
Bruh. I'm in a match right now. Wdym.

Oh so when people realized that they were gonna be able to actually play in matches where there isn't a dc every 14 seconds they came back to the game what a coincidence.
The fact of the matter is the player count isn't increasing really at all, it's slowly dropping as some people don't come back at all.

True and it shows that the player count is increasing rather than decreasing.
Sure, but most of the players aren't new. Rather, they are people who originally dropped the game and decided to give it another chance (excluding all of 2016, 2018 and early 2019).
-
This happens because a survivor isn't registered as dead or sacrificed until their icon changes. It's the same reason why a killer won't receive their sacrifice points until the icon has changed.
-
That's average, not overall. But it's a good estimate.

I like a rejoin feature, but:
I think there would have to be a mild punishment for quitting (or being dropped) and rejoining.
If not, people would DC when they were picked up, then rejoin 30 seconds later. Then DC when picked up, etc.
I mean, I know they'd still eventually get punished for DCing allot, if they did it allot, but it needs something more immediate as well, to prevent abuse.
Maybe..If they are Healthy, they become Injured. If they are Injured, they log back in Downed. And if they are on a hook, they basically can log in but they are dead.
Also..what happened to the Husk system? I realized I've heard nothing on it in months..
Husks should've be added by now. No idea what the hold up is. Probably just coding.

He just summarized that you were complaining about something that isn't a problem. If you don't dc and get connection errors every other day or so the penalty should already be gone when you come back online but if you dc all the time then complain about getting big penaltys when your internet cuts out its your own fault you cheated people out of games by dcing so this is your just reward. Also $2000 worth of dlc of which you might only use $40 at most to play the game on one side or around $90 for both.
The point is that the devs had the time to draw up thousands of dollars worth of cosmetics but spend half that time on game health.

You may see it as it's unfair to punish someone that has poor internet connection but it's also unfair that your dc ruins the experience of all the other players in that game.
It isn't their responsibility for you to have a good connection, it is yours and if it has come to a point that it's really hindering you from playing the game then you really need to consider fixing your connection before you continue to play.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1260752#Comment_1260752
This would probably solve alot of issues.
I personally don't have internet problems, but the amount of daily players is constantly decreasing because of this system. The game is enjoyable, but it seems with every new update or implemented feature, a problem arises.

@Ghoste said:
Bro if you lose connection you get a 5 minute penalty. Grab a snack or something. The game is actually playable now that cry-babies can't DC immediately when they don't like the killer/map/etc.
A dc penalty needs to exist, but the game just isn't able to properly handle one. Or at least not the one that is currently implemented.
-
I would like to see a real life serial killer, but that might not even be legal.

I still prefer DBD with DC penalties.
You can't be telling me you read that entire thing in under a minute.
-
In terms of survivors, the two contestants would be Claudette (eww) and Kate (meh).
-
In terms of glowing concoction, the survivor could've had Distortion which hides your aura from every killer perk or add-on.
Not sure about exhaustion though.
-
I spawned above the map and fell into the exit gate area.

As a customization option! Brilliant idea. I love it. Why the heck didn't I think of that?
And what's better... they could SELL that. Selling mori's. It's genius because people would pay BIG for that.
I feel alternative moris should be earned through the archives. After finishing the story and unlocking the cutscene for a killer, you would get an alternative mori. The same could be done with survivors, but instead, they would unlock special gestures/emotes.

No, they need to reverse the order of actions in her mori. Start with the chest hacking and end with the head splat, not the other way around
Stop giving out Huntress nerfs, she's balanced in every way.
-
The penalty should reset, but 12 hours is far too short.
-
More of a Deathgarden kind of guy myself, but this game ain't too bad.
-
It's all females in my top three. Nurse, Spirit, and Huntress. Why? They simply have the most potential to end chases quickly and are three of four or five who have a good chance of getting 4Ks.
e
For all those Freddy guys, he's a generic M1 killer that sits in the B- tier (B minus).
-
Even if casual were introduced, many survivors would go in for more calm killers to bully to sweat against.

Feng can speak gamer girl. That in itself is sufficient enough for most thirsty Americans.

Some quality bait right here. Redundant, but quality nonetheless.

Unfortunately, as much as I would like to help them, the situation is complicated to the point where there's nothing I can personally do. We're getting super off-topic at this point lol, but I do thank you for the sympathy 😊
While I take part in both sides of humanity, I like to spend most of my time on the side less riddled with greed and hatred.

It is a rarity, but I'm very grateful. I know someone who appears to be having actual mental health issues (largely of a depressive nature) due to the pressure they've put on themselves to do well in their Honours course (in a different faculty), so the fact that I'm able to actual relax and enjoy doing a project on something I'm passionate about for mine is even more valuable by comparison.
I'm someone who intentionally overwhelms myself (to a bearable extent) at an attempt to get everything I've been assigned done in one swoop, so I know the pressure that the person is dealing with. It might be a good idea to aid him/her or hang out if you're into that.
You're in a good spot if you have the ability to relax though. Schools seem to have this mindset where more meaningless work will help whomever later down the line.

Maybe if they released it alongside a small cosmetics bundle? Like the Head Case or something akin to that?
I would be totally cool with them being like "hey, no new killer or survivor, no new perks, just fixing a bunch of stuff for free, but if you want this Charity Case 2.0 we're releasing it when the chapter would normally come out." If that's not enough they could even toss in the chance for firecrackers/party starters to spawn in your bloodweb semi-regularly if you've bought the CC2, (maybe with add-ons that either add half a second of blindness or deafen briefly?)
It wouldn't be a bad idea. The problem with it is that most people would rather buy a cosmetic than buy a pack of random cosmetic options.
-
I wouldn't be opposed to the idea of chosing moris as a customization option, but I'd rather see older moris just get changed up. Excluding Huntress...leave her mori alone.
-
I typically plays solo as I don't like having unintentional advantages. However, if someone would like to play with me, I won't turn them down.
-
Bruh, no Switch.
-
This would be great, but it wouldn't make anybody any money.
-
Nothing can be done about Freddy and Demo as they are licensed characters. The ability to teleport stays in line with the movies/show.
-
When you run a Nurse for 5 gens and get tunneled, camped, and morid by the same one just a few games later

quite a few reasons actually, 4 hit movies (altho I prefer the older ones myself), people actually have a fear of clowns. His back story is way more left curv then Candyman. IT sold way more box-office then all candyman movies combined old and new.
Much more hype.
He's also been referenced in a few movies not related to him, shining, deadzone, Farcry 4( game) Darktower and a lot more.
Ahem. It was FarCry 5.
I'm not supporting Candyman btw. I really don't want any more licensed characters for at least a good year.

Thank you! Luckily, my tutors are incredibly nice and supportive, and they're constantly reminding us to take breaks and get good sleep and prioritise work-life balance and that sort of thing, so it's a really positive environment. The other day I accidentally slept in and didn't make it to class, and when I apologised to my tutor she said, "don't worry about it, sleep is really important!"
That's surprising. Most teachers and tutors these days would rather have sleep deprived students in class rather than healthy students out of class.

And that's their team's fault? Their team deserves to play a 3 man game because of that? Their team gets punished? A 3v1 is almost certain death, AND it cucks the killer because he might end up only getting 2 kills and the 3rd person gets hatch. It's happened to me plenty of time and it ends up in a safety pip or depip all because somebody can't get a stable connection. The responsibility lies upon one person in this situation. The DCer.
The OP never put the blame on his/her team. He/she just said it's unfair to be punished for something uncontrollable. Think of it as being falsely accused for a crime.
-
Why do people want IT?

There's actually pretty much no way for a server to recognize the difference, and the Devs have stated this before as well.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/150535/dcs-getting-me-a-ban
You're saying it ruins gameplay for YOU but your DCs ruined gameplay for your team. You should have stable internet, and if not you're risking ruining your team's experience.
Some people aren't made of money. They can't just get better internet or a better provider.
-
The devs have mentioned that they are looking at it.
