Title. They leave you to die as soon as their friend is safe.
Tbh i think that decision is up to the person self.
If they want to save the person on the hook during egc than that is up to them.
As survivors you always risk that people will leave you to die, so saving them during egc is a risk they take knowing this.
But not everyone is the same and even a 3 man swf will come back to try and get you out, because you helped them.
So just let everyone play how they want for themselves, whether it's solo or swf.

Why do the mods delete every comment I make referring to little people? I'm thoroughly offended by this, as my cousin is a little person and we play dbd together.
I can only guess that other forum users report my comments as being offensive. I'm curious as to why?
What does that have to do with dbd other than trying to get a pointless argument and/or piss people off?

That is not true. Survivors are already neg-broken before 6.1.0. They gave killers new meta perks like erruption and pain reso while survivors got #########.
Depends on what side of the mmr scale you are.
Low MMR, killers are stronger.
Mid MMR, about average both ways.
High MMR, survivor stronger.
Even when survivors got nothing worth of perks, they still kept the same strong meta perks.
Making high MMR a pretty sweat hell for killers tbh

Their response to this question was very simple.
They have thought about this to give him a separate stack of bottles, but that would be complicated for the player.
Although they could have test different possibilities with his bottles on the ptb, they choose not to and just go for 1 set of stack for both bottles combined

There is a lot of discussion about how killers have effortless winstreaks and all you have to do is watch Twitch or Youtube to find the evidence. This is why stats need to be looked at with caution.
Survivors don't have the winstreaks that experienced killer possess and I think this is bad for the game because it shows unfairness and most importantly a grossly unbalanced game.
Survivor is not as fun as it used to be because of too many nerfs and a lack of motivation and chance to win. This is because of balancing around bad killers. Circle of Healing, Dead Hard, Decisive Strike have been changed into killer sided perks and removes players agency from survivor.
Circle of Healing: A perk that takes away from doing the objective (to win) to setup a way to heal. It was nerfed so much that it was less worthwhile than using Self-Care. Self-Care is now nerfed so bad that both is not acceptable or most importantly fun to use. The ability to heal takes too much time, meanwhile it is easy for killer to continue with their objective. Good killers can capitalize with no way for survivors to overcome.
Decisive Strike: The survivor plays better than the killer for the entirety of the match but the survivor is punished for playing well and the perk is disabled, for bad killers. The nerf to 3 seconds also rewards bad killer gameplay. It is not fair killers have perks that guarantee their wins with endgame perks but survivors do not have any that helps them win. Killers can play badly at the endgame and survivor does not have a way to overcome it.
Dead Hard: Good killers knew how to play around old dead hard as evidence by watching killers play. Of course it sometimes, albeit rarely in specific scenarios extended the chase under very specific circumstances but shouldn't that what a perk does? Help you survive? The perk is now nerfed so killers do not have to think about the perk which is bad design. Killers do not need skill to down the survivor now because it is a simple M1 without thinking about what the survivor might do or try to dodge the hit. With less than a second of window of activation, the perk is unusable due to server latency. The new form is not fun to use, at the cost of balancing for bad killers.
Balancing so killer perks automatically reward the killer in so many ways with no downsides while survivor perks have too many downsides, too many deactivation conditions has caused the game to lose its fun factor for survivor side. This is why survivor is not as fun as it used to be because of lack of options. Experienced killers capitalize on these lacks of options for survivor to guarantee their wins. This causes survivors to have no hope in a majority of matches.
But balancing around your survivor skill level is also a very terrible Idea. ๐

I'd honestly just rather not have them at that point.
Don't forget the famous "soonTM"
What i absolutely despised was the fact that they only took questions with the most upvotes, so we had many questions that were already answered many times before or even questions that just didn't make sense.
Don't get me wrong i don't mind if they take questions with the most upvotes, but at least also select questions that do make sense and questions that you can answer.
That whole soonTM had put me off, so the anniversary stream a barely watch because of this.

Some players go out of their way to just be the biggest ######### possible - queueing with their friends and teabagging all game long is weirdly contended as "okay". But there's no way that communicating like this in end-game chat should be tolerated by any serious devs or even communiity. Or are they likely already banned and playing on hacked alts with their private "60 hour" accounts?
Yes I've sadly had to censor the names, I've been in trouble with the forum mods for not before. Which I still think is dumb, but that's another matter (honestly, people should be given the tools to avoid being exposed to people like this).
So what exactly did they do to be banned here?
All they do is trash talking and not saying any slurs or swearwords, so i see no issue here.
There are worst thing said in chat and messages, and this is actually nothing.
If you are this offended then i suggest to just turn the chat off and don't get into any conversation at the end, just move on to the next.

Ok this is from killer point of view so don't come at me, I play both survivor and killer both have been iridescent 1, but a few things I have noticed about being killer.
Firstly.
Generators need nerfed again, it's not fun when you have been searching the map for over two mins, and found nothing but faded scratch marks, then next thing you know boom, four generators are done back to back, it's basically a lost game after that, especially after the noed/hex ruin nerf, Combined this with toolkits and other survivors the time to complete is not long enough.
Second.
Yes you fixed the camping with killers but now you have survivors practically lining up underneath hooks while carrying a survivor, blocking off your hooks (is this body blocking - a reportable offence) sabotage I understand and agree with but straight up using yourself to block the hook should not be aloud. From a survivors view, yes, the killer nerf with camping needed fixed and was, but now it's horrendous to play killer and have your hooks blocked off by people sitting under them this need a fix or some sort of penalty for doing this.
Thirdly.
Dead hard and endurance effects these need looked at again in my opinion, I purposefully don't run this perk because I know how annoying it is to go against, not saying they are bad just maybe changed a little bit more.
This is just my opinion, and like I said at the start I run both killer and survivor.
I don't want to be the one to burst your bubble but what i read here is more a you problem than a game problem.
I'm not sure how long you have been playing but your grade means absolutely jacksh!t, it just shows you have been playing quite a bit this month and doesn't represent any skill.
1. If you are searching for 2 minutes around the map and 4 gens pop than that is on you.
You would have noticed that the gens have been worked on so you should have kicked them and search close around it, think of where you would hide for example.
2. That is a thing that's happening for a long long time and is normal game play, nothing bad about it and not reportable.
Just hit them and move on to hook, unless you try to get a hook across the map you should be fine.
As killer it can be annoying but it's a tactic to waste time and possibly getting the survivor to wiggle off.
3. Nothing wrong with dead hard as it comes down to skill this time and not just press this button and gain distance and i frames at the same time, now you have to time it well to get benefit from it.
As i said, it's just a you problem than anything else.
And I'm not saying this to be mean or whatsoever, just my observation.

Many people come back just for the event and usually stay a while after the event, but then start to drop off.
Which is what you see in the steam chart, it's going sown because the event is over but when a new dlc drops, the numbers will go up again.
You can check every event over the years and you will see a rise and fall in numbers there, as well as when dlc drops

what is the counterplay in this situation? what should the slugged person do and what should the remaining surv do?
You think this is new?
A long long time ago In a asymmetrical game far far away, there were always 4 survivors fighting to get all 5 gens done.
Then they figured out how to do it optimally to get it done fast.
Then 1 day that killer got so mad the gens went so fast that he came up with an idea "what if i keep 1 survivor on the ground, than there will be less on the gens"
And so he discovered slugging.

You are glossing over the part where your team still has to do gens, solo survivor is and never will be the power role. You physically cannot be a power role if you rely on other people to win.
๐คฆ๐ปโโ๏ธ๐คฆ๐ปโโ๏ธ
I think you are missing the point, trolling or simply just refusing the truth.
You are 1 of 4 survivors vs 1 killer.
You are 1 player of a TEAM of 4 vs 1 solo person (the killer)
Your team (whether all 4 solos or some sort of swf) are the power role as a collective.
Yes when you are getting chased, you cannot do gens, heal, unhook, totems or whatsoever.
That doesn't mean you are not the power role my friend.
4 solo survivors can still all escape and do as good as a 4 man swf.
You are judging this game as a 1v1 while it is a 1v4, that is what is wrong with many and why you refuse to see the obvious.

And there is nothing wrong with having an opinion, but most of the player base disagrees with you. And, something being easy doesn't make it the power role. Someone had to carry you to get you through that exit gate, if you aren't contributing that doesn't make you the power role just because you can grief your team.
The part were i said i could easily getting chased by the killer and let the other 3 do the gens, was an example.
Not something I'm doing every game, what i am doing every game is a part of everything.
Chased, gens, unhook, heal, taking hits, totems, picking up downed survivors, you name it i will do everything i can for the team.
And yes that even means sacrificing myself to get the rest of the team out.
I have to disagree with you on the fact that if survivor is so easy that they aren't the power role.
For years it was up to the survivors whether or not the killer would win or not.
That is what you call a power role, and pretty much the higher MMR and just a bit above the average survivor is where this was happening.
For years (and to this day) at low MMR the killer was/is the power role, that will never change no matter how much you will change, unless you give the survivors 4 health state ls before being downed.
I must say that i find it funny that without knowing me and how i played, calling it grieving my team.
I've never been and never had to be carried, kike i said, i know how to hold my own in a match and help my team out every way that is needed.
It's a matter in reading the situation and adapt to it, but you can thing of it what you want ๐๐
Many of the playerbase that disagree are the crybabies who refuse to adapt to changes.
Do i say that i agree with all of the changes?
No i don't agree with everything.
But many were crying here on the forums even before the patch was dropped, these are the same people who were killing themselves on hook or DC every time as soon as the patch dropped.
Which is a shame because they ruin it for the rest of the community and some even jump on the bandwagon because they think it's the truth before even try and form their own opinion.
Just to be clear, I'm not saying everyone is doing that, but there are many people here in the community that are like that.

If there are way more people playing one side than the other, then it shows there is an issue with your game itself. It doesn't matter if it's "more balanced." In any game, especially a more casual game such as this, fun takes priority.
And when one role in your game is so unfun, and your game's grind is so unfun, that you need to provide bonuses, that shows a massive problem. Killer queues have been upwards of 10 minutes for most regions, and nothing is being done to address it other than this horrible band-aid.
Personally, I think it's insulting that they're dangling BP in our face for playing the role we don't enjoy. Fix the core game.
The fact that the killer role gets more bp is because they're alone up against 4 other people.
With the new patch/meta shake up, they are pissed because they don't want to adjust to the meta.
In most prior patches the killer was pulling the short end of the stick and always needed to adjust to the new updates.
Did they wanted to do this?
No ofcourse not.
Were they told to?
Yup most definitely.
Did they do it?
Yes they had to.
So, no there is nothing wrong with killer getting more bp that the survivors.

Sorry i just find this very funny and I'm not trying to be mean, toxic or condescending or anything.
But i always played solo ever from day 1.
And yes i know not everyone might have the same skill level, but survivor was for me a way to chill.
I could let the others do all the objectives and let the killer chase me without even being able to catch me and still escape.
Not saying i was never caught cause it does happen, but very very rarely did i die in a match.
I always challenged myself by running no mither.
Many people will say that is throwing the match as a solo q player, but is it really throwing the match if you escape with all gens done?
Trust me when i say that at the beginning it will be difficult, but eventually you will start to make better reads and decisions and your looping will increase.
So long story short, as a solo survivor it was always extremely easy for me.

I just had a girl working on a gen on dead daweg and go for saves but i could never freaking find her. its the worst feeling in the game
Who says you need to waste time on finding them?
That's entirely up to you to waste time on finding survivors and let gens pop.
If you have no trouble in finding the other 3 and can down and kook them, then why wast much time and effort on a survivor who doesn't want to be found.
Just play normal and eventually you will run into them.

My goal is to demonstrate that someone with barely any experience on killer can get an absurd level of success with anti-fun strategies and with little skill involved.
And your response to that, is that, if I would play the worst killer in the game (Wraith), WITHOUT addon, and against high MMR players, maybe I would get looped to death and fail. Like OK but why? You are completely missing the point.
The point of my thread is not to nerf killer for people who play fair for survivors or constraint themselves to absurd loadouts.
The point is that, maybe YOU are nice and play Wraith and survivors have a good game against you, but that's not the typical killer experience these days. You have to realize, for one person that plays killer like you do, there will be one person who plays killer like I do, trying as hard as possible to win even if that means using douche strats and making the survivor experience miserable. The state of Wraith is irrelevant to this discussion, the developers could perfectly nerf every douche strategy without altering the experience for killers who are not using these strategies. In fact, by advocating for these douche strats to stay in the game, you are accepting to let the killrates be much higher than they should, and killer role will probably end up getting nerfed, including Wraith.
Lol i never said wraith without add ons, read it again please ๐
Second, this point has been proven since day 1.
Every person who just picks up the game can do this and succeed in it, you prove nothing new here.
As i mentioned as well as many others already did, the game at low MMR i killer favoured.
The game at high MMR is the complete opposite.
So yes of course you can use this tactic and win without much knowledge of the game.
Your point, as you stated in your original post, was to prove that you can always 4k with this tactic, never dis you mentioned at what side of the mmr spectrum.
That is why I and many others told you many times over, trying to prove that this is a ######### but a strategy that will always work in low MMR is pointless.
Everyone with only half a braincell will know this.
If you really want to prove a point that this strategy will work regardless of whatever MMR you are, than you need to apply this strategy at high MMR.
Otherwise this holds no ground.
Edit: little side note, wraith is far from the worst killer ๐
Especially when you know how to play him ๐

youre camping strategy now is the same camping strategy campers used before. so this entire experiment was pointless. you did nothing original.
if you played nurse you decided to use the games strongest killer to prove an already weak point most of us are aware of; yes camping often works. This isn't news.
you opened a new account using your 300 hours of skill and playtime to smurf on baby survivors
the mods/devs should lock this entire thread because this is absolutely asinine.
lastly you mentioned multiple dcs. Do you really count those as wins? Ill count them just to have the data but they get their own slot as "i won only because someone quit, not because i outplayed them"
do this again. do it on your own main account and real mmr against real players. do it with anyone but nurse/ blight/spirit, and do not count the games people dc/kill themselves on hook.
you will not win this much. point blank.
this was a flimsy experiment where you ruined a lot of peoples games for no reason.
Not sure why you mentioned me there but i do agree, using only nurse for this doesn't prove all that much if you don't play every killer.
@ImNotBobDylan you are reaching average MMR, you have a way to go till you reach that trust me.
And i encourage you to play my favourite killer at high MMR and see how you do.
My main and favourite killer is the wraith without and speed add ons, yes i never ever touched windstorm whatsoever.
Believe this or not that is entirely up to you.
About 2 or so years ago i have faced a comp team on a farm map (can't remember which) and this was before the map reworks and before wraith got any of his buffs.
I don't think I'll have to tell you how this match went i presume?
I will tell you this, it was 1 hell of a sweat fest.
Got 5 hooks in total and 1 kill.
Trust me when i say, if you reach that level you will notice that your experiment will fail miserably.
I will applaud you if you can get the same or better then mine result.

The game being killer sided at the beginning is nothing new.
As I said earlier, 300 hours isn't a lot. I don't think the "smurf" affects the rating much.
But the MMR should kick in at some point.
If I win several matches with the same killer, I quickly go against 5k-hours teams or more. (Granted, I'm getting close to 3k hours).
I've got three accounts myself (I've tried to play against "myself" for some tests, and I've got an account on console) and I've been pitted against good players pretty quickly (maybe ten games).
It was meant for a short summary of what his original post was tbh ๐
Oh that i know, that has been like this since day one.
It was merely to point out that the tactics he uses will work mostly on newer players.
I basically call every new account while having another account with a few hundred hours a smurf account.
Sure at some point MMR kicks in, but not that much that you play against high MMR players.
Even someone with a few thousand hours can still be an average MMR.
Which is totally fine.
My point is just that when you get to a certain MMR, these tactics barely work anymore.
Bit the op thinks that it will work all the time, no matter the MMR ๐คท๐ผโโ๏ธ

There is no chat at the end. I presume they were salty.
Short summary from his post because it was very long.
He has 300 hours on mostly survivor.
But because he wanted to do this he didn't want his main account so he made a smurf account and thus started from the bottom of the MMR pool, which will get you, well.............. Beginner players or players who play this game maybe once a week.
As many pointed out is that this only shows that low MMR it is killer sided and that these tactics work because everyone is new or basically new.
The best this he could have done was playing solely killer for say 300 hours before doing this experiment, so at least he gets a bit of survivors who already know a bit more.
Tho they mostly are still learning.

There one very easy trick to see if you are at the MMR cap, every single game you play, every single person runs meter perks in every slot. It isn't hard to tell, you definitely can. Before the patch I was at 4 dead hard MMR on my huntress, and I have only 4kd several games since then, there is no way my huntress isn't over the cap.
So meta perks tells you your MMR score now?

So survivors have to constantly keep getting better at the game, and you are using that to justify the killer AFKing next to a hook as a strat?
Why does it always seem to be 'Survivors win = Survivors OP, killer wins = survivors bad'?
I think you misunderstood them.
It's not only the survivor who needs to get better, the same goes for killer as well.
This game (at it's been like this since day 1) isn't balanced.
At the lower end of the MMR the killer is the power role.
But once you get to higher MMR the power role starts to shift.
And i don't believe that that will ever really change because bhvr doesn't have 1 line for balancing and are all over the place with that.
What eternal was sating is that people nowadays want to get them handed the win with little to no effort to get better at something.
They rather go to forums and complain then see what their flaws in their playstyle are.
In their eyes they are right and the people they vs are wrong, because they know the game the best and should not lose.
Right now the killer side might be a bit stronger because of the meta shake up, but once it's settled down and people find new meta's, you'll see it will get quieter here and you will start seeing a difference again.

You should balance at your highest population of survivors, not smurfs or new players. The problem recently is that we don't know what kill rate the developers want.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3103448#Comment_3103448
I am literally over the MMR cap on both sides, I am telling you it's not a good idea to balance this game around competitive SWFs. Literally no one would escape unless they were in a SWF. It would be a different story if this were a game like DOTA or League. But, it isn't, what you want to balance around is your highest population to keep the player base up.
"I am literally over the MMR cap on both sides"
Don't claim things that you cannot prove.
Do you see your MMR score on screen?
As far as I'm aware, MMR score is still hidden by bhvr.
So for all i know you might be low MMR and just having trouble with the game, which makes you think you are high MMR.
Maybe you think you're high MMR but you just face competent survivors who do know what they do but are not even in high MMR.
Sure maybe you are high MMR who knows.
What I'm saying is, you can't back this claim up because it's an hidden score.
So every can say they are the top of the MMR scale, because no one can see the scores

Yet it's not even at the same low as in April tho ๐
Besides there are other platforms for this game where we don't see the numbers of.
Luckily I'm not 1 of these 24%, i was 1 of them a month after MMR was introduced.

I'm a 300 hour player (mostly survivor). Since I cannot play solo queue anymore without becoming insane, I decided I would wait for next patch, but meanwhile I've started to play killer on a fresh account, and experimenting what it would look like if I try as hard as I can to be a d*** (mostly by facecamping and tunneling the same player).
Admittedly because it's a fresh account I started with low MMR - I didn't really want to ruin the reputation of my main account just to prove a point - but I don't have a lot of experience with killer so it should not be too far from my "skill" if I were to play normally. However, you will see that skill is not really the point here.
Now let's make it short, I have played 18 games so far, and every single game has had exactly 0 ESCAPE from survivors. In fact, survivors never even managed to complete the last gen, so it was not very close, although they went down to 1 gen several times.
So, that's a 18 win streak - and judging by my last games, there's no sign that it's ending soon. By the way, I'm no small man like Otzdarva, a win for me means ALL SURVIVORS DIE - NOT EVEN HATCH. Of course it's a d*** challenge so I feel like giving hatch would be unappropriate.
Since people will legitimately doubt my claims, I have recorded videos of most of these matches, but I'll make a short summary for each game so you don't have to watch it, and if you're used to solo queue, I'm sure lots of these games will look familiar.
Note: if someone can tell me how to check my kill/escape ratio (which should be at 100%) that would be great, so I can share the proof that there was no other match between them where I could have lost.
LINK TO VIDEOS
I uploaded everything on Youtube, but for your convenience as said I have a "breakdown" section below where I will sum them up.
Fellow survivor mains, I know it is disgusting, but I HIGHLY encourage you to watch some of these games. Check the BREAKDOWN section.
STRATEGY / BUILD
Simple gameplay, here are the main ideas:
Step 1: patrol gens and try to find a survivor quickly. This is the most critical step. Be sneaky, don't waste time in loops, switch target if needed.
Step 2: facecamp the survivor until they die (be patient)
Step 3: if other survivors manage to unhook, keep tunneling the same survivor, wait 5-10 sec to bait endurance. When survivors attempt to unhook, avoid hitting them as experienced survivors will try to bait you, ideally, try to grab them while they unhook.
Step 4 (optional): once 1 survivor is dead it's pretty easy to finish the game usually, but if you want to guarantee 4K, camp the 3 gens that are closest to each other, injure survivors so they all make noise, exploit their altruism so you can get them all down, only hook them AFTER they are all down, so they can't get the hatch.
VIDEO EXAMPLE 1 FOR THE "FACECAMP" STEP (from game 2)
VIDEO EXAMPLE 2 FOR THE "TUNNELING" STEP (from game 9)
I also have some particularly obnoxious games that demonstrate the "exploit altruism" step but since this is optional and particularly toxic let's skip that part.
BREAKDOWN
Here is a summary of each game, with a video link (time stamped directly to the most interesting part).
First game of the show, good to demonstrate the strategy. Started with Trapper as I thought he would be a good facecamper. Found Claudette quickly then stayed right in front of the hook . Nobody went to help her, so she DC'd after about 1 minute (5 gens left) leaving the game 3v1, her teammates were not fast enough with gens and it was relatively easy to finish.
Result: 4 kills, 1 gen left
A slightly better fight from survivors, showing that some are used to facecamping killers. Note that I have now switched to Nurse to increase the chance of DCs (this is my first game with Nurse - hope that it's obvious from the gameplay). I started to facecamp Leon but this time his team managed to distract me away from the hook, regardless I ended up getting a grab on the person who attempted to unhook and win easily.
Result: 4 kills, 5 gens left
Another very altruistic lobby, survivors try very hard to prevent me from tunneling David and even manage to successfully make me lose him, so I hook and camp Feng instead. Survivors try to save her too but this time I manage to down all of them.
Quite a sad game to be honest as I missed almost every blink and yet the whole game still ends in 5 minutes because survivors were too altruistic.
Result: 4 kills, 3 gens left
Not a very interesting game. I camp David, survivors make quick attempts at saving him but soon give up. David dies at 4 gens (!!). From there the game is easy to finish (although it takes me 7 more minutes to find the remaining survivors).
Result: 4 kills, 2 gens left
A very sad game as survivors really try to save their teammate but end up losing everything for it. Very touching survivors and merciless game from me, do not watch if you're faint-hearted. On a side note, I think this game illustrates well how disgusting you can play if you want to deny survivors the hatch: the game is clearly over after 3 min 30 s, yet it still takes me 15 more minutes to finish the last 3 survivors and ensure no one gets the hatch.
Result: 4 kills, 1 gen left
- Game 6: https://youtu.be/3zdffOIFdS8
Very poor game from both sides, not much to say about it. Bad SWF, bad gameplay from me (Note: following the previous game, I equipped Whispers to have a easier time finding the remaining 3 survivors - I will later switch to "Spies from the Shadows")
Result: 4 kills, 3 gens left
- Game 7: https://youtu.be/KVfalvEuHvQ?t=7
Another sad game. Hooked Nea right after start, someone DC's 30 seconds later, leaving everybody else hopeless. Survivors acted so cute that I considered letting them win and cancelling the game but eh, he DC'd after the hook so it's not really my fault, and I don't feel like that's what the majority of killers do when playing against me, so no mercy.
Result: 4 kills, 5 gens left
Best survivors I've faced so far, now the MMR finally went a bit up. This is a very telling game, worth watching as a whole (Warning: it is also very triggering, if you're a survivor main)
Here I found Cheryl quickly, but she was clearly a good player, so I gave up the chase and went for her teammates instead. I started to tunnel Kate, but only after a long chase, and by the time I hooked her for the first time there were only 2 gens remaining. From there it should be a loss for me, but as usual solo queuers try too hard to save their teammates and end up losing their advantage. Kate dies while Nancy attempts hoplessly to save her. By the time I hook Nancy still 2 gens remain. Nancy gets saved while I get greedy and damage a nearby gen, gives a fight and has DS which makes me lose time, but still not enough for her teammates to finish the remaining gens.ย
Result: 4 kills, 1 gen left
A rather easy game. Got Ash quickly, but his team tried hard to save him, bodyblocking, tanking hits etc. I could still tunnel him and get the other survivors shortly after.
Result: 4 kills, 4 gens left
- Game 10: https://youtu.be/fpAeqoe6C20?t=160
Another sad game. Clearly low MMR survivors, game was already over after 3 minutes when I grabbed the person who tried to unhook.
Result: 4 kills, 3 gens left
- Game 11: https://youtu.be/_siSwVFuDaw?t=241
Now this is the first truly heartbreaking game. Likely a SWF stack as these girls played very altruistic and 2 of them had the exact same skin, one Claudette even tried to disguise as the other so I would hook her instead when they were all down. Everybody tried to save the tunneled survivor but did not manage.
Result: 4 kills, 2 gens left
- Game 12: https://youtu.be/4QIOAuqHcys?t=55
Low MMR survivors, caught Claudette in 1 minute, very easy game, except for one thing: I tried to end the match too quickly at the end and almost gave Cheryl a chance to get hatch, this could have ended the streak.
Result: 4 kills, 3 gens left
- Game 13: https://youtu.be/lFNeHigQ_q8?t=73
Regular tunneling game, caught Mikaela, camped her, teammates ended up being grabbed while saving her.
Result: 4 kills, 2 gens left
Absolutely heartbreaking game. Tunneled Claudette but Nea managed to skillfully bait me and unhook her without getting grabbed (which shows just how often solo queue players have to face it). Claudette rage quitted, seeing what happened, survivors gave up and/or tried to act cute.
Conclusion
I humbly ask you, DbD game developers, to do me a favor and watch some of these games, especially game 14, and tell me if that matches your vision of how the game should be played, because actually, it matches what I've been getting lately as a solo queue survivor.ย
I trust that you have data that shows that the game is not killer-sided so I will refrain from debating balance, in fact I don't doubt that SWFs and/or the combination of old DS/BT/DH was too strong in some circumstances.ย
However, what seems clear to me, is that:
- The game may be not killer-sided, or survivor-sided, but it is definitely tryhard-sided. I think this echoes what Otzdarva said in a video: "DBD is extremely survivor-sided ?". Basically, your game can be fun under the assumption that people will play nice, but the rules and balance of the game do not prevent you to be extremely toxic. For example, camping a hooked survivor is seen as a d* move by most of the community, and yet managing to land a grab on someone who tries to unhook was multiple times a game-winning move for me.
- The game is full of anti-fun mechanics for survivors: very long gens that people don't want to do, one shot mechanics like NOED or grabbing a survivor who attempts to unhook, having to rely on killer's kindness to get hatch, survivor having to wait 4 minutes on ground if killer doesn't want to pick them up (hatch again), etc. Killers do not have to face such mechanics, and most importantly, do not rely on 3 random teammates to play the game.
- MMR doesn't work. I've played many PvP games, it seems unconceivable to me to get a 18 win streak against human players. Just think of it. 18 games x 4 kills each = 72 survivors dead. That's a LOT of people time wasted so that just one guy can have fun (me).
So, I don't know if I will continue playing and see if I can achieve longer streak, but ultimately, what has made me stop playing for now, is not toxic survivors, Dead Hard, DS, it is not gen rushing nor SWFs, ultimately the thing that makes me stop playing is just how heartbreaking some of the games must have been for survivors. If you've been in one of these games I hope you understand and wish you a nice day.
I do like your enthusiasm for this experiment, but i have to agree with what most people have pointed out here.
You disagree yet it is the truth, you are a beginner.
You say you have 300 hours in this game with mostly on survivor.
Yes 300 hours is already a bit of play time, yet not to the extreme you know ever ins and outs in this game.
Especially not as killer.
You also said you made a smurf account for this experiment because you didn't want to taint your main account, which mean that you start at the bottom of the MMR thus getting new are barely new players in your game.
If you really wanted to prove a point then you play at least the same amount of time you've put in this game only as killer.
That way your MMR is a lot higher and you get competent survivors who do know the game better.
The only thing that you have proven with your experiment is that new survivors who only have a few hours in this game will fall for facecamping.
Believe it or not that is up to you, but this isn't meant as a bully, toxic, mean, etc, etc comment.
All I'm saying that trying to prove a point as a player with knowledge of the game against new players, is that you prove new players are learning to play this game.
Nothing more nothing less โ๏ธ

otz is right nurse should be like oni and gain his power
I haven't watch the video as ATM I'm not able to.
But how would you make nurse earn her ability as she is slower than a survivor when not blinking.
If you make here 115% speed so she can gain her powers like Oni, then you have bigger problems.
She's then a 115% speed nurse ๐คฃ๐
Her powers are fine, like some say, maybe look at her add ons.
I never had problems with nurse, in fact i really enjoy playing against her

This is going to sound toxic but I'm honestly trying to do this for the sake of the game. I'm going to be a camping and tunneling killer. I'm so tired of people on here saying how easy it is to counter with just off the record. If I camp/tunnel it's so easy to get a 4k. I never did that and always avoided chasing someone off hook but apparently BHVR and half the people who post on forums don't think it works so I'm just going to do it from now on. I honestly wish every killer did this then BHVR would actually fix the game. But as it is basically the killers that don't camp and tunnel have harder games and the ones that do tunnel get an easy at least 3k.
I hope I get some of the people that think off the record with 1 extra hit is going to save you from losing the 3v1 after. Since camping and tunneling apparently doesnt work, I guess I won't get any easy 4ks from this. Maybe some day BHVR will realize camping and tunneling should be removed from the game instead of just adding probably the most cheap/toxic game tactic I've ever seen allowed in a game.
If you push this through then i really hope that you are pretty high in the MMR field.
If you are then I'm eagerly awaiting your videos of your experience. ๐๐

I don't think I've ever seen one.
Yeah here is a wraith main that never camps or tunnels.
The bad news is that I've left this game a month after MMR was implemented.

Remember when BHVR said that BBQ was only used for the bloodpoints? Yeah turns out that's not exactly the case. Which would be obvious if they even played their own game. It's obvious when someone has bbq because they always come straight at you even if you are just off a gen coming in for an unhook. I bet the pick rate of bbq barely even moved after the "nerf". So since we are supposed to change the meta and all can bbq get a real nerf now that people are realizing which should have been obvious? BBQ is an insanely strong perk for anyone with movement and even killers without movement.
And how would you nerf BBQ then, take away the aura reading ability?
I see threads about killers camping and this perk encourage to leave the hook and go for another survivor, and now you want it nerfed?
Good luck with that, i suggest you just learn how to counter it and get better.
As some have pointed out, this perk is easily countered.

He's always been fun, mained him pretty much from the start and had some wins and kills with him that i actually shouldn't have, or so it seemed ๐

I love Built to Last. It's one of the most busted survivor perks that nobody is talking about, especially when combined with a fast toolbox, Streetwise, some speed/charge addons, a gen speed perk or two.
But I keep getting harassed by idiots who see me go into a locker after I finish a gen, assume I'm trying to hide the entire match, and spend all 12 seconds opening and closing the damn locker in my face. I lost my last match thanks to a survivor like this (among a bunch of other extremely rude and selfish behavior).
Should I just start announcing that I have it in the chat before the game starts? How do you deal with it?
Do you ever harass other survivors in lockers when you see them enter, and why?
I'd also like to take this opportunity to remind everyone that Built to Last exists and that you should give someone fifteen seconds or so before you start slamming the locker door open and #########, if you're the kind of person who does that for whatever reason.
I would personally not go in a locker straight after finishing a gen, especially if that happens more often.
I would just run towards a different gen and jump into a locker during my travel there.

ive hidden in plain sight and have killers not see me at all. trust me my method works and also i walked into the room so my scratch marks wouldnt be seen so its pretty sus how he knew i was there
You stopped running before going into that room, which as killer indicates that you either walked a bit further or went to walk i to that room.
So it's not that hard to find you when you do this.
He could also had the add on where your aura is revealed for x amount of seconds and he could have just stalked you before you walked into that room and thus seeing you walk to that corner.
Not saying there were issues on his side, but him seeing or knowing you were there is pretty plausible.
Just except that this method you did doesn't always work, especially when you go against better and more experienced players.

He'll only get about 10 hits/chases.
Again i still don't see how that is weird tbh.
And my math might be off l, but he can get 16 hits (3 downs per survivor)
If he only does it it tier 3 and immediately hooks someone after a down with no saves.
The chases can be even more depending on the survivors.
I mean been there done that, if he got loads of cakes then why not.
I might be missing your point here completely, but again i see nothing weird with this ๐คท๐ผโโ๏ธ

As long as you're being a team player that's all I care about in my game.
Always been and always be a team player.
The only time I'm not a team player is when they are trying to sandbag me.
And strangely enough i even help than which has happened a few times.
Was with a 3 man swf and they tried to sandbag me all 3 matches and even failed many times and even sacrificed myself before i realized it were them ๐

I made this post after having two people try to 4% right before I unhooked them in the same game. Both times I was working on a gen that we desperately needed. I don't like making complaint threads like this but I was really at my wits end during my losing streak. Idk if it's bad luck or what but this happens every other game now.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3060571#Comment_3060571
I try not to be spiteful because it further hinders the team. Although I did refuse to heal a Claudette the other day... mostly because we were facing Legion (she let me die on first hook),
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3060586#Comment_3060586
Normally it isn't a big deal. The issue is that it's happening every other game for me. On top of a bad losing streak I have to deal with randoms refusing me points and taking me away from the objective which in turn increases the likelihood that we lose.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3060674#Comment_3060674
I try my best not to let them hit second. That's why I ran across the map in the first place. Some of them go for the kobe when it's a guaranteed second hook state.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3060719#Comment_3060719
As I mentioned it normally isn't a big deal. It's just that every other game during a losing streak tilted me enough to complain on the forums.
I don't try either and most of the time the team still pulls it off.
If the killer comes to me and the unhooked person than i will always be the bait and give him a run for his money.
It's not like i let the unhooked person to die.
Tbh being injured doesn't mean it will hinder the team, i played so many matches with no mither and most of the time i even escaped.
And the killer will most of the time go out of their way to go for the no mither person.
Just be sure you know how to loop and how to read and combine as many tiles as possible.
-
Back when i still played there was a spike in how much this happened, so i set some rules for me with that.
If I'm close and they try to kobe in my face than i wait till they go to stage 2 and then unhook them.
Do they stop trying when I'm close i will unhook them.
If they kobe right in my face then i turn around and go work on a gen, they don't have to expect me healing them.
They don't enjoy it when they kobe and won't get healed, the same as i didn't like coming from across the map to unhook only to find them kobe in my face

I have searched for the answer all over the fourms before posting this so I apologize if it's already answered. I know we won't lose our SOS perks that we bought but if we have them tier 1 on a killer will they become tier 3 on every killer without having to wait for it to appear again to purchase the rest of the perma tiers? Say it's a perk from a killer you don't have and you can't level the killer up will you be able to find tier 2 and 3 in the BW? Thanks in advance
With the old system you will find them in the bloodweb, tho it's highly rng when they show up.
With the new system (if it's already been added) you can buy and have it immediately on all killers, then if you want a higher tier you can buy it again in the shrine and get it up to tier 2 and 3.
Or you can, like the old system, find them in the bloodweb and increase their tier that way.

People assuming that everyone just appeals to authority. Your no better then the appeal to authority person. Most streamers agree on obvious stuff? Is that appeal to authority since we agree on the same opinion?
I share a good bit of similar opinions with streamers because surprise its the right opinion to have sometimes. Like with perks and balance updates. Please counteract the points instead of just assuming its wrong because someone quoted a streamer.
You might wanna reread my comment mate before jumping to conclusions ๐

That is something that becomes rarer by the day.
These day many will quote streamers or content creators but rarely come with their opinion.
Not saying that streamers and content creators are always wrong, but nowadays they just take their word for it and don't try and form an opinion themselves.
The age of the interwebs is taking the ability to form your own opinion away i guess ๐

Can i give you a little advice?
If you want a conversation where both parties can tell their side of their stories and give their idea input, try acting a little aggressively to almost everyone who says anything.
You don't have to like their ideas just like they don't have to like yours, but both can give their ideas without being attacked.
Also giving accurate info about the perk will also help with being taken seriously.
And yes i know how CoH was, been against it and have used it as well.
I have given my idea about the perk in a few other posts already so I'm not gonna talk about it again.
But my advice is to be a bit less aggressive against everyone who doesn't share your opinion ๐โ๏ธ
