In their defense, the so called "gen rushing perks" are more commonly used. I'll include corrupt intervention since it was failed to be mentioned. Killers complain about survivors using their gen rushing perks or stealth perks. Killers complain about survivors more than the other way around. Killer mains always cry about how survivors are OP but have never looked at the world from a survivors perspective. I am a survivor main and I also play killer for fun and bloodpoints. Killers are OP. Bottom Line.

I have to agree to disagree with you on that.

There's always complaining on both sides.

The difference between what a specific side complains about is 1 side complains about everything being OP.

    Spirit OP

    Bubba OP

    Freddy OP

    Nurse OP

    Ruin OP

    Pgtw OP

    Bbq OP

    Mori OP

    Undying OP

Just to name a few I've seen threads about.

The only reason people complain about that is either because they have little knowledge at the game, are low ranks or refuse to adapt and change their playstyle.

The other side complains about mainly 3 things.

    The abuse of DS

    OoO being OP

    And about the gen speeds

There maybe some other complaints about the killer side but these 3 subjects are most complaint about.

And to be fair, even if you occasionally play killer, you know this is very true.

If you don't think it is true then you still have your eyes closed or just refuse to see it.

Sure I may sound biased but I just say what I see as someone who plays both sides.

And can honestly say that playing survivor is a walk in the park as you have to put in little effort.

I hope you know that that was sarcasm right? 🤔

All I saw was unfair Killer Hits, a 10 min Game witch ends with a 2k.

So a very balenced Match. (But Not the Hits of course)

Correct it was a 10 minute game that you saw good indeed, but it was far from balanced and the 2k was purely because we made mistakes and I sacrificed myself.

But you're missing the point here, you complained about gen regression perks.

Use a stopwatch and start it as soon I can move and stop at the moment the last gen is complete.

You'll see it only took around 4 minutes to complete all 5 gens.

Which is happening more and more these days.

And this was (unlucky for him) done by 4 solo's who were just optimal on the gens.

The fact that it went on for 5 more minutes has nothing to do with the gen regression perk topic.

Elodie made a mistake which got her on a hook in the basement, I sacrificed myself trying to get her out as I don't care about escaping.

If i did he only got a 1k as we could have escaped whenever we wanted.

The fact some killers take a lot of gen defence perks with them is just for the fact that gen speeds are not balanced in any way.

That is way there are so many gen Defence on some killers just as a band-aid so the can have a bit more fun and multiple chases and hooks.

That is the whole reason and as long as the devs don't fix this issue this will continue.

  • @ILoveDemo said:

I just say that it's not necessary to bring Ruin/Pop/Noed/Sloppy every god damm game! Just Had 5 Killers in a row who bring atleast 3 slowdown perks in one Trial. It's just spamming in this point.

The Devs need to look at when bringing more then one Gen regression perk and make sure that it's NOT Impossible to Play the game when you do.

It's like Freddy as a perk.

First ask yourself why do they bring gen regression perks in the first place 😉

    To give you an idea

  • There are many people who are speaking up to them.

Unfortunately it's all directed to deaf ears.

I even made a thread about that it is time for a QOL chapter because they are not competent enough to do both.

But there is definitely something that needs to happen, and soon too.

I fear if they continue to go down this road, they will start losing players and there would even be a possibility that other companies will push for a more similar game as dbd as a substitute.

I know there were a few who tried, but you only need 1 company who delivers just at the right time which could mean the end for dbd

You proved my point perfectly, wow, while being a hypocrite at the same time, you are talented 😁

You went out of your way, forced yourself into a conversation between two other people, just to insult someone. That is rotten behavior and, it's not even worth my time checking, but I'm willing to bet your Dead By Daylight forum profile discussion history shows that this is not the first time you've butted in with negativity.

I'm more happy and content then you'll ever be, unless you change your ways, because I have compassion and show sympathy for others, but I have no respect for people like you, good day.

Sure thing, keep trolling out here 👍👋🤣

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/228615/the-ds-change-looks-good-but

The DS change is gonna be even more horrible, you can just decide to heal 99% just incase to save DS when you need it. You can avoid doing gens and other objectives so that the perk doesn’t disable, this is gonna be more time consuming for survivors. DS right now can be good when getting tunneled again after being healed from injured to full. So imagine this after the new DS update. You got unhooked and escaped the killer so that you can heal yourself, okay self heal done you are now fully healed and the DS perk has disabled. After a few seconds the killer finds you again and downs you, right now you don’t have decisive strike ready cause of the nerf. I feel like the best change they could’ve added for DS is to make it only available after your second hook state not your first hook, this is much better and makes more sense and is much more fair for both the killer and survivor unlike this bad change.

It doesn't have to because of tunneling tbh.

I've had matches where I hooked that person with ds.

Downed another and not at the hooked survivor but actually in a different spot.

Hooked her and meanwhile the other got unhooked.

Found another survivor, same thing and hooked him.

Then found the first survivor again who was fully healed, downed her and got hit by ds.

So not only did I not tunnel, I also hooked 2 other survivors before finding the first one again and still get punished for it because they just play badly 🤷‍♂️

Same thing happened a few days back.

Hooked 1, popped a gen, downed and hooked another.

Then I find the first one working on a gen again, downed him, popped the gen and picked him up.

Again pushed for their greed and mistakes

  • @LunanEclipse said:

Easy solution run an obsession perk it doesn't have to be DS. A killer will almost never use an obsession perk because they are bad on killers. A killer obsession perk other than fired up say you can't target this survivor or you will lose the strength of your perk. Kind of not what a killer wants when they need momentum. As a killer main personally the only way I would be ok with an obsession every game is that there is an inherent negative to being the obsession so killers get some benefit to a system that punishes them for existing.

Fired up isn't a obsession perk and there are strong obsession perks for killer.

Safe the best for less is pretty strong if you ask me on certain killers.

You gain stacks very fast and only lose 4 in total when you injure and down the obsession.

Also play with your food can be pretty strong with scratch mirror myers especially when combined with nemesis.

Dark devotion can be pretty strong after hitting your obsession.

Rancor can give you a idea where everyone is after a gen and mori your obsession (not a strong perk but it can be)

Remember me is reasonable strong during the end.

Dying light is also reasonable as the obsession only gets a boost from unhooking and healing.

Not all may be really strong, but used with the right er and they get really strong and if some are combined with another perk they also become really strong

But i agree with you on the last part.

Should the devs ever consider to permanently put in a obsession every match, then there should be also a downside for being the obsession.

Do you consider casting insults input? Try being reasonable first instead of throwing shade. Where as I, respectfully, only shoot back at those who shot first.

    😂😂

Whatever dude, I've been reasonable from the start.

You read a comment and focus on 1 sentence from the entire comment and then complain about why that is wrong instead of looking at the full story.

Even insult others who don't agree with you.

    But hey, it's ok.

One day when you grow up you maybe learn how to have a normal conversation with respecting others opinions as well.

Until that day arrives, good night, good luck and goodbye 👋

Listen, if you wanna hook camp or slug or tunnel or whatever, fine, but Bubba is the one killer where literal face-camping guarantees him a kill, because even with counter perks, like Borrowed Time, he can hit repeatedly through players with his insta-down ability. Why is he able to hit multiple people with his ability? It can effectively take out the person saving, hit the person with borrowed time twice immediately, and still keep going. Again, I don't care if he wants to hook camp; there are perks to counter that, but Bubba flat out ignores the perks and is the only killer guaranteed success for camping, and even if players ignore him, he just camps the next player. The point is that, unlike other killers who camp, perks cannot enable saving the survivor at all without guaranteeing Bubba another down. He's the only killer that is truly rewarded for playing like a shitbag. By all means, play how you want, but don't reward it by enabling it to outright ignore the perks designed to counter that type of play. Bubba was bad enough in this regard before his rework, and while he certainly needed a rework, I was hoping it would be one designed to gear him away from hook-camping to win. Instead, he continues to be the one killer truly rewarded for doing so.

You have bunna who can facecamp and ignore bt.

Simple solution just rush the gens if he does that and move to the next match.

Every killer has some things you don't like but they're good at.

    Twins are good for slugging.

Hag can easily teleport back to the hook and get you when you set her trap of.

Especially with make your choice, or equip mint rag and she becomes very nasty.

Shows what little you know, good killers know WHEN to slug and don't need to tunnel. Bad killers feel like they HAVE to tunnel.

"what rank are you?" reeeeally shows what little you know 😂 After four thousand hours, you'll learn rank doesn't mean Sh*t, bud, do you really not know that? HELLO? this is Dbd we're talking about here.

Don't get me wrong here mate as I don't want to be rude, toxic or something else bad.

  • @ilovedbd123 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1958112#Comment_1958112

A strawman, really. I don't like tunneling, I only do it when someone is toxic or I feel the need to win. I said it was a viable strategy. Also, what rank are you? Tunneling and slugging are common in red ranks, again backing up that you are either bad at the game or haven't played for a long time

This guy/girl wants a discussion, but can't read what there is written.

He reads what he wants and in your case that was just that it is a viable strategy 🤦‍♂️

After that his mind is made up and nothing matters anymore

  • @Mugombo said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1957981#Comment_1957981

But now it’s a pointless perk in most games. Tunneling is quite common, I see it in probably about 20-30% of red rank games as a survivor. But that’s 20-30% tunnelling happening to ‘a’ survivor, to me personally it probably happens 10% of games. That means with the new DS, bringing it does nothing at all for 90% of games.

Then you decide not to bring it because it does nothing, so there’s no obsession in the game, and shock you get tunnelled because the killer sees it. It will become quite a pointless perk most of the time

Mate I see plenty of games where there is no obsession and the killer doesn't tunnel.

Killers that do tunnel don't care whether there is a obsession or not, they are gonna tunnel anyway.

If you are so scared of getting tunnelled when there is no obsession than just equip a obsession perk.

You really wanna get tunneled, run no mither without iron will.

Believe me, THEN you get tunnelled.

And believe me, that's a lot of fun for real.

    Well for me it is.

Bottom line is nothing is gonna change

  • @then4321 said:

Let's see.. at rank 1 with 4k hours, you better believe I see quite a few Nurses, I'll tell you what lol

"almost be on the opposite side of the map" 😂 yeah, bro, it's reeeealy obvious that you do NOT run DS, cause that statement is faaaar outside of reality lol

Also, the funny thing is around 95% of the time, I don't run DS either. I'm not worried about me, I do fine in chase, but even RIGHT NOW when there is no obsession in the match, killers tunnel the living heck out of everyone, not fun.

This is just a simple suggestion to a simple problem.

Rank 1 on both side with 3.5k hours so what? and it could be that on your platform you do see nurses.

Maybe it is just because of the new tomb that you see a lot of nurses who knows?

And it seems you only read what you want to read appearantly, because it was just a matter of speaking as I allready told you before with the distance in meters.

I just had a game with no obsession.

    Did he tunnel anyone?

    Nope not even close.

Sure there are a lot of killers out there who does tunnel, with or without and obsession.

You really think this small tweak to the perk is going to get such a huge impact?

Barely anything is gonna change about playstyles.

Killers who tunnel, camp or slug won't most likely not gonna change.

Killers who go for chases, I think I'm pretty on point with this, 99.9% will still keep playing the same way.

Survivors will still run DS who allready relied on it or just want to use it.

The only ones who are going to have a different playstyle are the ones who abused it.

The solution is simple, but it hurts the other side way more.

5s stun is more than enough to get to a safe loop and that is how it should be.

And to be more exact, as you seem to take things very literally, after a ds stun you're abour 40ish meters away when he catch up with you again, unless your not playing smart and not counting nurse

  • @Moundshroud said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/228615/the-ds-change-looks-good-but

People will still run DS. The primary function of the Perk hasn't changed.

That's the funny thing I like about most people who complain about the ds change.

They think it is such a massive nerf and makes the perk next to useless.

The only thing it does is making it so you can't abuse it anymore that much.

These complaints about the change are so funny 🤣

  • @then4321 said:

To be honest, I'm just worried that after the nerf there will be A LOT of matches where no one is running DS, the killers will see no obsession, and tunnel everyone to death.

All I'm asking for is to make one survivor the obsession every match, regardless of what perks are being used.

...and maybe bump up the stun from 5 sec. to 6 sec., because, lets be real, 5 sec. x 4 m/s = 20 m

A nurse can eat the DS and blink that distance no problem. Is it too much to ask to give the survivors 4 more meters?

    Discuss

Nope, definitely a nope from me.

I already don't run ds so I won't miss it nor would I need it, if the killer tunnels me then I'm fine with that.

Let's be honest, how many nurses do you still see?

    Not much I believe.

And 20m is more than enough to get at a safely to get to a safe loop.

To correct your math a bit, that is 20m as soon as you are able to move as killer again.

So by the time he catch up, you could almost be on the opposite side of the map (not the big one's)

So 5s is more than enough, be grateful that they nerfed enduring so it doesn't reduce the ds stun anymore.

The Killers are just cry babies, they want to delete all survivors perks if they can. And devs are listening to the cry baby killers, and this game will die soon. They have just to stop trying to please those killers. But they will not...so this is sad and true. I don't see the fun of this game nerfing the perks. The perks were made for a reason. Killer must put an effort and play better if he/she is unsatisfied after the game.

    🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

    🤦‍♂️

I play Killer & Survivor 50/50, i'm rank 1 in both and have been for quite some time so i'd like to think I have an unbiased opinion when it comes to nerfs and i'll be the first to agree that Undying/Pop didn't need to be nerfed.

But with that said, how much is too much? It seems like every single patch I see countless posts begging for survivor nerfs.. and then when you finally get what you want, you immediately start asking for another nerf?

In most recent events.. Infinites got nerfed? wasn't enough. Toolboxes + all Addons got nerfed? wasn't enough. Gen speeds got nerfed? wasn't enough. Hook saboing got nerfed? wasn't enough. More maps got reworked? wasn't enough. Keys are being reworked? wasn't enough. Decisive just got nerfed and Object has been confirmed for a nerf at a later date? Still not enough..

Now I see people demanding a Dead Hard nerf when anyone who uses it knows you end up dead on the ground 7/10 times.

I mean hell.. Just last week I saw someone asking for a Spine Chill nerf because it wasn't fair to stealth killers.

Will you truly ever be satisfied? or is it human nature to just constantly want more and more after you get your way once?

The thing is that you make it sound like it's only killers who complain, making you sound pretty biased to me.

The thing is, on both sides people call for nerfs.

Survivors want bbq nerfed, spirit nerfed, Deathslinger nerfed, bubba nerfed, iri hatches nerfed, etc, etc, etc.

So it is always both sides no matter what got nerfed, they always want more nerfed

  • @Ivaldi said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/228482/make-your-mind-up-survivors

Survivors crying nerfs? I think you're mistaken.. Killers are the Kings of begging for nerfs.

Survivor Nerfs: Exhaustion -> Insta Heals -> Borrowed Time -> Balanced Landing -> Infinites -> Gen Speeds (Repair times, Toolboxes & Addons) -> Hook Saboing -> More Map Nerfs -> Decisive Strike (x50) -> Object of Obsession -> And now they're going after Dead Hard.

Killer Nerfs: Ruin, PGTW(15 seconds is hardly a nerf), Mori's, Undying (Even though it's now stronger with Huntress Lullaby and Devour Hope)

Insta heals are still the same only in a different perspective.

Old insta heal, you use it and got fully healed.

So you needed to get hit twice to down 3 if you did it during a chase.

New insta heals, you use it and after a few seconds you are fully healed.

Getting hit during the time yku get the deep wound applied.

In other words, you still need to get hit twice to get downed

Again like the old, 3 times when you use it during a chase.

BNP was a good nerf cause especially in a swf they could do a gen in 17s when they brought it.

Hook sabo isn't nerfed cause it is made faster to do unlike the old one.

So now there is no need to 99 the hook as it takes about the same time when you use a toolbox.

Ds is barely nerfed, instead is was buffed for everyone now, and the coming changes are necessary and good so it can't be abused anymore.

OoO was a necessary change if they are gonna go trough with it.

The old version (before this current one) was more balanced, so in a way it was actually buffed the way it is right now.

And let's not talk about the beginning where survivors always fast vaulted, had hundreds of pallets with most of them safe,to name a few 😉

So yeah some things were definitely necessary to get nerfed

  • @Casanova09 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1954306#Comment_1954306

Really I can't get my teammates in solo queue to do gens so idk what y'all talking about with gen rushing.

Also ruin + undying was nerfed cause having instances where it had to be cleansed multiple times made it too strong with ruin but weak with other hexes and not very consistent.

New undying is still good but at least consistent and not as oppressive as before and still see plenty of killers using it, heck i'm seeing more undying + devour, been using it myself lately

This was my last game from yesterday and they were flying trough the gens.

    https://youtu.be/6odHnDn57Xo

About the old ruin undying combo,

It was extremely rare you had to cleanse more than 3 totems, if you had to do 4 or 5 totems than you just got unlucky.

But that is only about maybe once every 50 or so games where that happens.

I personally never found it extremely strong tbh

Imo if they took away the aura reading from the perk than it would be in a good place, that was the only thing they had to do to balance it in the right spot.

I honestly see little of that combo in my matches, but maybe it will come later maybe or it is more of a platform specific atm

  • @MadLordJack said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1955959#Comment_1955959

And yet that's not how it plays out in reality unless it's a full SWF team than can tell each other these things.

Then either you only see what you want to see or you just don't pay that much attention.

Cause if you have a little bit of situational awareness you see and know what is going on around you.

I always play solo and never had any issues with the combo.

If it bothered that much than there are several perks to find the hexes easily, or bring a map.

Or do like me and memorise where the totems spawn, its not that hard.

A lot of survivors use this as a go to defence attacking the killers skill, so I needed to get that out the way in case of later comments bringing it up. Not an attack on you, just a commonly said thing and it is totally not true.

What if you cant physically pressure enough (not a killer with map pressure abilities on a map of decent length) and if you leave survivors after hitting them once they'll just get back on gens and you have waisted time. Red ranks do know how to play optimally, so it's not just because I didn't pressure enough. And 15 mins games are less common for me than 2-3 mins. Seriously, unless your against dogshit survivors every game or your below purple ranks (maybe low green/yellow Rank) then that should not happen.

Hahaha I was not attacking you mate, if any I was agreeing with you.

    So calm down 😉

I play every single killer and for me 15 minutes are more common than the 2 to 7 minutes games.

And i play as a rank 1 killer.

Might be my playstyle that can keep it up this long in combo with certain perks and add ons maybe.

Sure sometimes it is hard to get it to there.

I even went against a deathsquad I believe they call it?

They rushed the 4 gens in not time, so i was about to give up.

But they came to the gen where I just stopped.

    I was wraith btw.

So i just what the heck why not and went full try hard on them.

Got them all down but yeah what are you gonna do against 4x ub?

Managed to stretch it to 10 minutes for the last gen to be finished

  • @MadLordJack said:

The killer needed a single down and an entire generator would completely regress. That's not healthy.

If that gen fully regress, than that is on you and your team.

A gen doesn't fully regress from downing 1 survivor.

If 1 survivor got chased of of it, than immediately go on it and continue.

Or just go do another gen when that is not possible, it is completely on you.

    He keeps chasing him?

Than you have plenty of time to find the hexes

Was just showing the maths, I think in most games below the red ranks it's 5 mins for gens on good survivors so this is less of an issue. And in red ranks 4 mins should be normal because they are decent at the game. To pretend this doesn't happen to invalidate a point is ridiculous.

Agree, but I'm pretty sure you've seen people talk that that is not possible or doesn't happen.

And if it does happen than that is on you, because you didn't pressure enough.

I usually get games as killer to take up to around 15 minutes, but sometimes you are completely powerless and you get rushed like a mother F

A killer cannot pressure every gen unless they are playing hillbilly or nurse, as they need good/brilliant map pressure. Whilst it's not 2-3 mins for me( more like 4-5) mins, if survivors focused it can be done in 2-3 mins theoretically . 80s for 1 gen per Survivor without toolboxes or perks like prove thyself. 3 survivors split up, 1 being chased. You can get it done in that time. If the killer leaves that survivor they were chasing and they play optimally, the survivor should be back on a gen. Loops are as long as a survivor makes them, and a good survivor can never get hit unless against deathslinger or huntress. So yeah, 2-3 mins against decent survivors isn't too out there. A good toolbox (green commodious and wire spool and another charge add-ons ) will make it lose 15-25 seconds on a gen, and that's one toolbox. You don't seem to know the maths, so I just wanted to point it out that decent survivors (not even swf) can theoretically get this done. This isn't an attack, just letting you know.

    Look there's someone who understands.

It's hard for some people to face the ugly truth about gen speeds.

  • @Kellie said:

If survivors are getting all the gens done in 2-3 minutes you're probably a terrible killer.

Have you ever played killer in red ranks vs a swf on comms?

Trust me, no matter how good you are as killer, might even be the best in the world, gens still can go within 3 minutes while 1 of them is getting chased.

I had a game and found a survivor 20 seconds after I could move, downed him in about 15s.

By the time I hooked him 3 gens popped, so that's about a minute after I could move.

How does that makes me a bad killer than?

If they didn't F up the rest of the match the game would be over in 3 minutes after start.

I have to agree to disagree with you on that.

I always play solo and never had any problems with it.

On very, very, very rare occasions you had to cleanse all 5 totems, but the average was 3 totems max.

And as I said earlier if they took away the aura reading, the change would be fine.

But i didn't even bother about the aura reading as I used it at my advantage to distract the killer.

It's not against the rules no. We don't encourage it however as it's not something we particularly approve of and it can often lead to griefing - forcing players to farm etc, which is where a big line gets crossed.

And that is why i hate it when killers want to farm but don't message me.

Only during the game they show they want to farm and i show them to just hook me and they shake their heads and move away from me.

So i just try to rush the gens but sometimes get worked against by other survivors who want to farm and are missing skill checks so the gens won't complete

It's quite easy to tell tbh. If we are facing a stealthy killer i can understand why someone is crouching, for instance, but if someone gets hit and the other guy keeps urban evading on the other side of the map then i know what kind of teammate i got.

Also, it's not always about me being able to see them. I also run better together and you would be surprised (or not) about the amount of times i gotta stop working on a 90% gen because some smart guy decided to bring the killer to me while being chased.

Hahaha those people are the best.

How many times that has happened to me, gen almost done.

Survivor being chased, oh really, you really think so heh?

I'll bring the killer to you 🤣

  • @Mringasa said:

I've been yelled at in chat a few times for "screwing up my looping" because I tried to intervene in a chase with someone in just that situation.

Most of the time though, when I've tried to draw aggro the Killer just keeps chasing the other person because they are on their death hook so why would they bother with me. The only reason they have to drop the chase and start on a different survivor would be for their last stack of BBQ, or if they were playing "nice". Otherwise, getting a Survivor out of the match is a better option for them.

I can understand that, it can cause more harm than good sometimes especially if that person you try to help is good at looping.

It has happened to me several times before where I've been tunnelled and someone tries to come and help me out.

And as much as I appreciate that, I personally hate it when someone does that because they always unintentionally sandbag me and I go down because of them.

I'm very good at holding my own during chases, no matter the killer.

So i rather have them working on the gens instead of helping me.

I can keep killers busy long enough to actually make them lose the game if they continue to chase me.

But yeah there are some survivors who do need help during chases, btw before I get called out by him I don't mean the op.

I never tell at them that try to help me, but I do message them that I appreciate it they are trying to help, but i rather have them not

Hm are you in my matches? No, then you shouldn't assume. If you read the thread again, you'd see I mentioned a team mate hiding, when I'm being chased, and they havent been hooked. If I see them hiding, it means they arent on the other side of the map.

Also accusing me of "bullying" the killer when you dont know my play style, is quite rich.

First of i didn't accuse you of anything if you read it properly.

It were mere options why someone doesn't go and help, not more nothing less.

Secondly, I don't assume anything, again it were just some of the reasons someone might, read it again Might, not go for a helping hand.

Thirtly, you should look where to go instead of looking what others do during a chase.

If you see someone hiding in a corner that probably means you ran somewhere where you had no chances of looping and stubbled on them by accident.

Which might mean they didn't know you were being chased and the killer was coming for the gen, who knows.

Again, that is a possibility and I don't assume anything.

And last but not least, I can understand you are frustrated when that happens.

But instead of taking it out on someone who just gave some options on why this might have happened isn't putting you in a good spot

  • @CountVampyr said:

I’ve never used Nurse before, so rather than trying to kill everybody I just used my first round as an opportunity to figure out the blink mechanic. Well, I barely had the opportunity to do so because all everybody did was gen rush and leave. This isn’t the first time where I’ve allowed people to do whatever they want for the most part but they almost always act is if it’s a life and death struggle, and probably think I suck when in actuality if they gave the situation two seconds thought they’d realize that I wasn’t even trying to defend gens. But at least I had enough time to pass the rift challenge of hitting two people after a blink in one round. Still, missed opportunity on their end. Highest score was only 15,000 bp.

I want to learn nurse as well, but after trying it a few times and what survivors love to do is rushing as of a few weeks.

I decided to wait till their brilliant mmr system is implemented and then try and learn her

  • @Marigoria said:

And you see someone on last hook being chased, take the aggro!

I know this has always been a thing, but now when you can see how many times your team mates have been hooked, why are you hiding in a corner, when you werent hooked yet, and someone is being chased and they're on their last hook?

Hook counter for survivor is the same as kindred, it is supposed to help you, but a lot of times it will not, and will make it even more frustrating, because now there is literally no excuse to not be a bit altruistic.

There can be multiple reasons one doesn't bother.

    1. The person mignit know where you are at the time you're being asked chased.

    2. He might know but you are on the opposite side of the map.

    3. And this happens to me a lot, the person might be good at looping and the killer just ignores him.

    Because why not?

1 is being chased and the other tries to being chased, aka 2 survivors doing nothing.

    4. You might have been trying to bully the killer and thinks "screw you, you get what you deserve"

    5. Might be almost done with the last gen and is hoping you got adrenaline.

The list can be much bigger but this are the most common reasons.

Accept your loss and move on to the next match

Can I just ask what killer do you play, and what perks do you use with them? Because I haven't had these issues as of much recently, and it may be due to the killer you're playing as...? It would definitely help me understand the situation more.

I play on the ps4 so I could be that it is platform specific who knows.

But to answer your question, I play every single killer there is.

But my favourite is and always will be wraith.

My perks are pop, sloppy, nurses and bbq.

I always have a gen defence perk on every killer, if I don't then it is gg.

I know I have good pressure on gens cause I don't focus on 1 survivor.

For example with wraith I try to injure them and then catch them off guard with nurses.

Even during chases I can easily break of when I see another survivor and injure them.

But like I said, as of a few weeks the gens are going really fast.

Sure it's not every single game 3-4 minutes, but if I don't play lame sometimes (only slugging) the game can be over in about 7 minutes.

I am someone who doesn't like to slug, sure if I down 1 who just came of the hook I let him there so they can pick him up.

But other than that I rather go for a new survivor than for 1 that has been hooked, or just down and picking up, but that is unfortunately in the past

Are we playing the same game? No seriously, that's a genuine question.

If you don't bring said perks & tactics into a red-rank match, unless the survivors are boosted, you are ultimately screwed. Does this mean you have to play like that? No, but you sure as hell won't win 90% of the time if you don't.

No matter how efficient you play, if the survivors have half a brain & are all split up on separate gens, there is little to nothing you can do about it.

Agree, they tend to forget survivors spawn on gens while the killer has first find a survivor.

This can sometimes take about 30 ish seconds before you find one, and it takes about 30ish sec to finish a gen with 3 or 4 survivors on it

  • It goes faster then you might realise.

I sometimes watch back my gameplay and start the stopwatch as soon as I'm able to move.

I can tell you for certain there were many matches where 4 gens were done in 3 minutes.

Those were the most fun matches I've had.

In lower ranks it might not be going this fast, but in red ranks it is most definitely a issue atm.

Been like this for a few weeks now

My Only issue with undying was that it showed auras near every dull totem. With how long it takes to break them the killer was always on you before you could finish destroying it.

True, that could be annoying and they could have taken away the aura reading and keep the rest.

Tho if I knew a killer had undying, I just kept baiting him.

I kept on it for a few seconds and than when I see him come my way I ran of till he went away, then just repeat.

It waisted so much time on the killers end while the other 3 were just doing the gens.

    @MadLordJack said:

There's a sweet spot between having to cleanse 5 ######### totems to get rid of a perk while the killer is tunneling, slugging and camping, and 3 minute gens.

Edit: and I should clarify, now we're in it.

Double edit: seriously, I never saw a killer going for 12-hook trials with old Ruin/Undying. Not once in what, 5 months? It was always "I play badly and camp high-progress gens and hooks but still win."

Then you don't play on ps4 in the EU I guess?

I used it the beginning but never paid attention to it, I just went for the chases and hooks and never watched for the aura's.

Sure when I just stubbed upon a survivor while I was close I'd chased him of.

Never did I tunnel, camp or slug and always go for 12 hooks.

Cleansing 5 totems isn't that hard.

And be fair, how many times did you actually had to cleanse 5 totems?

Most of the time it was 3 at max and 5 on very rare occasions.

Personally i wouldn't even search for ruin/undying when a killer is camping or tunneling, i would stick to the gens and push out as much as possible.

If he camps he lost, if he tunnels and the survivor can manage it then he also lost.

If he sluggs I wouldn't care for gens when 3 are done but helping them get up.

  • @NoOneKnowsNova said:

You're acting as if every game you play as killer is 3-4 minutes, and not once every few days.

Despite this, tunnel and camp all you want, just don't be suprised when survivors return the favour.

Well I can tell you that since a few weeks there is a lot more gen rushing going on, a lot.

It is not once every few days anymore, and yes you can still come back from it but that only depands on how much the survivors F up.

Not long a lgo I had a game as wraith and 4 gens were done in around 4-5 minutes and I only got 3 or 4 hooks.

This was on thompson house and the only reason I got a 4k out of this was they only focused on the middle gen and not on the other 3.

Had they split up than all 4 escaped within about 7 minutes total match time.

And this is only 1 example as the gen rushing is most definitely increasing

  • @Arbmos1998 said:

    • Survivors hate Tunnelling and Camping.
    • Survivors also hate Gen Regression/Defense Perks that allows the Killer to extend the match without having to Tunnel/Camp. (Ruin +Undying rewarded Killers for Map Control a and allowed Killer to do multiple chases).

Survivors - Rushes gens in 3-4 mins giving the Killer no time to do multiple chases or get close to the 12 Hook counter. What does this cause?

    • Camping
    • Tunnelling
    • Slugging

    Pop - Nerfed

    Ruin - Nerfed

    Undying - Nerfed

    Pig Traps - Nerfed

Freddy Add-Ons - Nerfed (Most likely will again)

So my question is this. If Survivor mains hated Ruin + Undying so much are you guys actually wanting the Killer to play more lame as that is the direction the game is heading. I don't like Camping nor Tunnelling but let's be honest we have all had at least 1 match where we have been forced to do so to secure a Kill after a 3-4 min game. Not only does this create very unfun gameplay for Killer but it's obviously very unfun for Survivors.

Undying had 0 reason to be nerfed as it allows Killers to somewhat follow the Survivor Rule book to allow them to last longer in a match but for some reason Undying was considered "Unhealthy" for the game. How is a Perk that allows the match to be longer than 3-4 mins unhealthy for the game exactly? Meanwhile perks like Insidious are still in this game, a perk that is honestly only used for 1 lame purpose. Insidious could be great if reworked correctly so it actually has a good purpose.

I wouldn't be surprised if Devour got some sort of Nerf later down the track as that has recently replaced Ruin but if the Devs want to use "Stats" for their Balance then by that logic we should be seeing a Nurse buff at some stage, I'm personally fine with Nurse at the moment, I play her without addons but if the devs want to go off stats then I won't say no to a buff to her.

    Amen 👍

Didn't get the idea why undying had to be nerfed

Survivors: give us more stuff to do than only repair gens.

    Devs: ok here's undying

Survivors: reeeeee that perk is to strong an rewards bad killers

    🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️

If anything, it punished survivors who didn't bother about bones.

It was fine by me and never had trouble with it.

    Sam with old ruin.

1 of the reasons it was nerfed was because when newbies try to repair a gen together with veterans and was annoying they could not do it.

The only reason you could do a gen together with a veteran as a newbie was in a swf.

If you play in a swf you know the risks and are willing to take that risk.

Imo there was nothing wrong with the old ruin.

And they could have tweaked it like now so pop couldn't apply on it as long as ruin was up

Honestly I never found any problems as a solo survivor.

Sure you get some, well let's say a lesser skilled, survivors who go down in 10s.

If i see that i always want to get chased (I always want to get chased) and see why they go down so fast.

At which point I realise the only spot they are good on are on gens and not chases 😂

    @OneNineTwoNine said:

It's not that people think Survivor (or Killer) is difficult. It's that the mechanics in the game can make playing either unfun. Survivor is for sure a lot less stressful than playing killer. But I wouldn't say it's "easier" in that regard. There are still things survivors have to deal with, such as painfully designed killers to go up against or hitboxes. It depends on how you define "easy".

On the flipside, it really all depends on the map and the players you play with/against.

Personally without the hitboxes messed up as they are now, I find survivor easy af no matter what killer I face tbh.

I can run no mither without iron will and ds and still escape.

And that is while still doing gens, unhooking, healing, getting chased (they always love chasing no mither 😬).

A few weeks back I did it again agains hag and had a lot of fun doing it.

Try playing solo queue. I wouldn’t say it’s super difficult but it’s incredibly frustrating. Survivor most certainly has a skill cap and it’s ridiculous if anyone thinks otherwise.

Tbh I only get frustrating as solo when I see a 3 man swf trying to bully the killer and going down fast.

That puts me between a rock and a hard place.

At that point it basically becomes a 1v1 and rarely I managed to save them.

Depanding if the killer is hovering around or not.

And as a cherry on top they then blame me for not doing anything 🤔🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️

  • @Jukantos said:

Out of all the imbalance between the killer and survivor gameplay and rank-up problems, this takes the absolute cake. Two consecutive games with 10 hooks giving me a derank is just a joke. I got 10 hooks. I got 10 hooks again. And i got 9 hooks. And as a result i'm now 3 pips lower than i was before. My gatekeeper emblem is never above silver, because thanks to the event handing out Commodious toolboxes like candy it's now less than 90 seconds before 3 gens go up, even when i injure someone and chase someone else off of their gen.

But what really gets to me is the chaser emblem. 10 hooks. Literally had everyone on death hook. Landed over 20 chases (with some slugging to desperately buy time). And my chaser emblem? Silver quality.

You have got to be joking at this point. Am i supposed to get 40 chases every game? Is slugging now mandatory to even get enough downs for the chaser emblem to be above silver?

TLDR how the actual genuine ######### do i pip up in red killer ranks without landing a 12 hook game? How is depipping at 10 hooks ever ever ever even technically possible?

Believe it or not everything can happen as killer in red ranks.

I even managed to black pip with 32k points 🤣

It's so hilariously stupid the ranking system on killer, and I mean not in this state but when it isn't bugged.

But it is something from resent weeks where there is a lot of gen rushing going on.

Loads of builds especially just for that purpose alone.

Whenever anybody messages you on anything (especially PSN), you shouldn't get baited into saying something you regret, because then the person that messaged you has accomplished their goal of being toxic with somebody else being punished for it.

I personally like to make them mad with no-effort responses, but if somebody happened to tickle my fancy, I usually get the last word in & block them. Why continue an argument you'll never win?

I've been banned for 3 day's and didn't even say anything bad imo.

Sure I've seen that got warnings but didn't expect to get banned over it.

Where did I got those warnings for?

Very simple, some people just don't know when to stop and just continue to message for hours.

So i simply responded "just shut the f uck up and go cry somewhere else, or get a live"

And just because the F word was in the sentence they reported that and i got the warning for it, which eventually led into a 3 day ban.

I'm someone who love to get into a discussion with salty people but not for hours (yes there was even 1 who couldn't let go for more than a year), so at a certain point I just say let's agree to disagree and move on.

Yet if they continue for a while after that, then I used to respond what I said earlier.

After the ban I just don't respond anymore on salty people.

If i have to watch out for using the F word and Sony doesn't look at previous messages, than better not react to it anymore

These problems exist for years now. When will they be adressed? What about u guys?

Honestly I rather play against people from Russia then against people from the Arabics.

Whenever I see people from there I just dodge the lobby.
