Yeah, you read the title and i'm not going back on it. Unfortunately, Freddy is too powerful and makes this game P2W. It's grown so bad because his whole entire GAMEPLAY is a crutch and rewards bad tactics and behavior.
Personally, I hate it when I get camped, tunneled, slugged or any of that BS because it leaves a sour tatse in my mouth but Freddy is the ONE killer I cannot STAND because they do EXACTLY this and there's nothing you can do about it, he's quite literally God if god was a nightmare. It's everytime I see him, I literally want to quit or DC; that being the only thing that keeps me going is to avoid the DC penalty. I know everyone else has felt this frustration of Freddy. He's the literal EPITOME of "Lol, easy character hurrdurr." I cannot being to explain how many low ranks i've seen playing as Freddy demolish the floor with people.
Before I go on, I want to state that it's not a skill issue. At this point, and this not me being cocky either, it's that I've looped almost every killer for 2+ minutes straight and they were all in high ranks; like rank 1 and 2 but then when I get into a match with a rank 17 killer, somehow they do better then those red rankers which I find impossible to believe. Suffice to say, I have confidence in my skill TO play the game and loop killers, inb4 the trigger happy people want try and put me in my place, i'm not taking challenges; I might be confient but i'm not going toe-to-toe with some people that just emanate "I will beat your vss six ways to Sunday in 5 seconds." Back to the main topic though.
Those low rankers USUALLY play as freddy which leads me to believe Freddy is completely easy, he takes 0 skill to use and is a complete crutch for newer players. He can TP cross the map (namely to a generator which is OH so annoying.) Place dream pallets and snares which do jackshmt for us; allowing him to cut off looping in seconds and which certain perk and add-on's it becomes a living hell to even get one generator done.
Not only am I confused on how Freddy can be this powerful but i'm also infuriated. He easily eclipses MANY killers just by base Freddy alone and with perks, he stands at number 1. He's the hag if the hag was a literal god. Inb4 the entitled 'I want my 4k/Killers show up' before you say anything, do not say 'Skill issue' or anything along that line; what I want is pure criticism on why Freddy should be nerfed or removed from the game. I know for a fact i'm going with remove him as a goddamned total cause i'm really fed up with him.
Yup definitely no skill required at all

I'm rank 1 killer I lose maybe 1 game every 15 games(not counting when I let them go[I let 3 go today cause I felt bad, they were really bad I figured new players but turned out they were 4man SWF rank 1 survivors somehow...])
Both sides take skill, survivor side takes a bit less skill and more teamwork, without teamwork they're screwed...
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1904374#Comment_1904374
I used to be like that, I'd give my life with borrowed time at endgame collapse just to let them escape... but I'm an achievement hoe, I have to get rank 1 survivor achievement before I stop caring about it :/
That's the luck on ps4 tho, there is no achievement for rank 1 π¬
But yeah even though I'd give my life for others, I'm still rank 1 with ease every season

You start of with 5 tokens, you cant gain anymore. Each token you consume will make it harder for you too survive. You click the ability button and you can see the killers aura for 1/2/3 seconds. There will be a slight buff, you can now see killers if they are stealth, see spirit phasing and the nurse blink.
Token 1: No added effect.
Token 2: You cant use your exhaustion perk for 10/15/20 seconds.
Token 3: *New effect deafen* You can hear the killers terror radius but it distorted, the killers red stain is normal and everything around you is also distorted for 45 seconds.
Token 4: You are broken for 1 minute.
Token 5: Your exhaustion perks cant be used until after you've been hooked.
Personally just reverting it back to the old way is way better imo.
If you want to see the killers aura than both you and the killer must look in each others direction and both of your aura's are being showed to each other.
That way it has a counter to it and it's not unlimited info on the survivors end

Solo Q, did 2 gens, 1 gen left I was on last hook and injured, other 2 teamates were nowhere to be found(hiding in locker) and then they used key escape, of course I was ######### cause I was on other side of the map only found that out when I got knocked down and see one of them Tbagging aura before she jumped in the hatch aswell.... whats the ######### point of playing survivor solo? with a good team even a good killer will lose 90% of the time, with a bad killer even a decent survivor will die 98% of the time when solo Q'ing I'm so ######### tired of toxic SWF teamates... actually more pissed when they my teamates, when I'm killer at least I can hook them but as a teamate I can only watch and cry
Killer was rank 3 I'm rank 7 survivors rank 8 2 and 4 if I remember correctly.
I was mainly doing cause really bored playing killer lately, like seriously bored, but every time, every ######### time I play survivor I get paired with apsolutely worthless shitheads that think the main objective is to be toxic.
Honestly doesnt seem much point in playing this game as a solo player, killer is boring since its rarely a good match, usually people that are average and cant loop for longer than 10seconds, or apsolute god loopers abusing 10 pallet/window spawn location in a small area with 3 teamates all DS unbreakable and brand new parts all ready to take hits... and survivor well I wrote my rage point above, there is literaly 0% reason to play solo survivor unless something is seriously wrong with that person.
Well my friends don't like this game and aren't playing it.
Why am I still playing it?
Because I love this game and try to challenge myself.
Whenever I play survivor I always do whatever I can for the team, hell I don't even care if escape.
I'd give my life to get other survivors out.
The only thing I care about as survivor is getting chased, and no I'm not running ds, unbreakable and soul guard, I love a good chase and see how long can I survive it.
As killer, yeah sure there are matches I don't like but that happens.
I'm trying to have fun and try to give the survivors a good time too.
I know I'm a killer with feelings π
Even though these days there are a lot more bully squads than usual, but that is because of the global problems right now i think.

Yeah my overall opinion is it's a good change. I too hope to see some devour games ran with undying.
Yes definitely it was a healthy change to game. Even against swf the time it buys is uncanny if you have had to cleanse all totems to remove ruin.
Now the calculations I made were to try and show people how often the unfair part of undying occurs. Yes it's not a metric to gauge an escape rate but it definitely plays a part in the escape rate of ruin + undying games. I was trying to point out that the killer complaints about it being overnerfed are fairly valid because two undying totem cleanse games were very escapeable in my opinion.
Honestly I never had any problems with undying in its current state as solo survivor.
I even used it against the killer multiple times to distract him while others were doing the gens.
What I'm afraid of when it will be nerfed (and maybe I am wrong about it) is that there will be more killers who are going to camp, slug and tunnel.
It already happening more than I've seen before and I think that will honestly become even more after the nerf.
Tho i truly hope that I'm wrong here

People need to stop listening to survivors who whine about ruin undying. They make it seem like it's impossible to win when killers run these perks. I'm a killer Main and beat this combo in solos! This combo only seems op because you have survivors who hide and do nothing whole game or leave gens when they hear the TR.
https://youtu.be/wzanAto9XLU
I think it has mostly to do with the fact that most of the survivors refuse to adapt to a different killer or build.
Sure you have surivers who start hiding as soon as they hear the TR on the edge of it.
When i come across a hex totem I'll cleanse it, otherwise I'll just stick to the gen.
Am I being pushed off?
If he doesn't commit to the chase than I'll be back in no time.

I still find it hilarious people are not willing to adapt to a different playstyle when facing freddy π€£
Freddy OP
Freddy doesn't require skill
Only bad killers play freddy
Playing freddy is easy
Meanwhile I had 2 games against freddy today 1st match all 4 of us escaped
2nd match only 1 dead.
And that happens quite often tbh.
So i really don't see the point why people complain about him.
Go play as him and see what his abilities are precisely and how they work.
See what others do to counter him, explore and exploit his weaknesses.

Hahaha oh yeah i do agree with them, he is so OP that I regularly escape against him π
Even can help others to get out, yet he is so OP that they think no one escapes against him π€¦ββοΈ
It's sad that the devs can't judge the game objectively.
They aren't that great as survivor so they think survivors are way underpowered π€¦ββοΈ

How was it before?
As I said in my comment.
If you ran the old way of OoO and you wanted to know where the killer was, you had to look into his direction and he had to look into yours.
If that happened both of you saw each others aura until 1 of you looked away.
So there was a counter to it by just walking backwards to that survivor.
But doing so the survivor could just walk/crouch/urban into safety and you might lose them.
But at least it was something and there wasn't unlimited aura info like now
-

Also, even though it's uncommon, more than one person with OoO. Hate those hell matches so much.

Man that match was hell of fun......... Not

oh look another object thread, Yes this is another post about object but I think its important to keep making these type of post so the Devs can see that this perk IS an issue the perk IS fundamentally broken within the games mechanics.
It scares the devs dont see an issue with this perk. Plz rework
The problem with dbd is
1. that about 80% of the player base is playing survivor.
So they are scared to make big changes to some of their perks.
God forbid if they do and they need to adapt a little to it
2. The devs themselves aren't that great at playing survivor.
So they can't judge objectively about what is good and what is actually terrible.
That is why you will see that with add ons there are no negatives on survivor side but with killer add ons you'll see there's always a big negative to make the positive practically obsolete.
3. They are biased towards survivor as they have made that very clear multiple times over the years.
They looked at the survival rate of people who run OoO which is only just a tiny bit of the info.
Cause why is it so low?
Did they got tunnelled?
Facecamped?
Before the mori change instant moried?
Was the survival rate a average of all ranks or in red ranks?
Like, there are multiple factors which can influence the reason of the low survival rate.
The reason that OoO is 1 of the obnoxious perks in this game is because there is 0 counter to it (stealth killers not included) and gives you unlimited info any time you want.
Before it changed (I still don't understand why) it was in a well balanced state.
If you ran the perk you only got info if you and the killer were looking in each others direction otherwise you didn't get any info.
Imo that was way better than it is in this ######### ass state

Thatβs true to an extent but thereβs also a majority who are skilled and have over 3,000 hours in the game like myself who also agree that Freddy is brain dead but thatβs just my opinion and theirs. The overall problem is that survivors canβt post a thread they want about a killer or killers because they get attacked right away.
It goes both way unfortunately.
When killers post a thread they get attacked and visa versa.

These things happen unfortunately.
I always try to rescue someone if I can, but I have had teammates who open the gates and immediately go out without even trying.

I've tried watching content creators to learn new ways to run loops but I still get caught easily. I don't want to be a burden to my teammates anymore
Play both killer and survivor is my first point if you allready haven't.
Try adjusting your builds a bit maybe?
I'd suggest to run then Windows of opportunity and kindred.
That way you see what pallets are still there and extent your looping more.
With kindred you can play your routing easier when going for the unhook as well as finding your teammates.
And they can get a lot of info when you're on the hook as well

Attachment. It goes on a regular ps4 controller and adds two buttons to the back of the controller. Made by Sony. You can get it for $15-20. Like I said it's better for FPS games but I've been trying it out on all the games I regularly play.
Ah ok that's a first I heard about them π¬
I only remember those things by rizen (I think they're called) for i believe somewhere between 150β¬ and 200β¬ or something.
Those things are so expensive but the buttons go broke so easily I heard.
But yeah they're good for fps that is true

Ok honestly guys Iβve never played survivor that much and have been quite good at playing killer for the last 4 years, but I never played Huntress because I tried her four or five times and I donβt enjoy her, to cut it simple.
I recently started playing survivor more, due to some friends who convinced me, found my way to the red ranks, and have been there for the last two months.
Now, can someone explain to me why every single - and I mean EVERY. SINGLE. - Huntress Iβve come across heavily camped EVERY hook?
I mean she is one of the most, if not the most, powerful killers in the game, in the right hands. Why are you Huntress mains camping so hard? I mainly play Legion and Trapper, and Freddy/Spirit to a lesser degree, I would LOVE to have something I can throw at a distance and down the survivors, that would actually encourage me to NOT camp even those times where itβs a valid strategy.
So, what is going on? lol.
Guys, itβs annoying. I honestly hope to reach some of these players with this. Itβs one thing when you camp for a reason, but damn, Iβve been camped/seen people being camped with 5 or 4 gens undone and three people injured. But also I would like an explanation. Why are these people constantly camping so hard, only with Huntress and literally all the time?
Well tbh every killer can be the strongest killer in the right hands, that's why they're in the right hands ππ¬
But honestly it is not only huntress, i get all type of killers face camping me from time to time, They just don't know better.
Unfortunately how unfun it might be it is a playstyle and tactic of that person.
The only time it is effective is when others try to rescue a camped survivor.
Just rush the gens ASAP and escape is the best option.
Try to stay on the hook as long as possible because it will lose the killer points.
Sure, so does the person on the hook but if that killer does it in every match and only get 1k out of it and keep losing points.
You will not see that person for a while till he changes tactics.
Whenever I'm being facecamped, I want the others do gens fast and wait at the exit until I run out of struggle.
I will recover easily as survivor in the next game

Do tell us how to outplay a Spirit then, oh God of Survivors. I am sure you got this game all figured out and have a 100% escape rate with perkless survivors.
Hmm why do I sense a lot of salt here? π
Where did I say I have a 100% escape rate, where did I say I don't use perks and when did I say I'm a god survivor? π
But if you must know you can drop a pallet while she's phasing than slow vault back over.
Huge change that she will be on the side where you were vaulting from, next time do the same but walk away.
Drop a pallet from the side you were running from and run back.
Then you got your basic looping like with all killers.
Remember when she was phasing and don't be stupid and think she's phasing right away again as soon as you drop a pallet.
Like I said, mix up your tactics do 1 thing then the next time do the opposite, or do the same thing twice and than the opposite.
It is not as hard as you think or pretend it to be.

Right? Its almost like most Survivors won't be happy unless every Killer can be dealt with the exact same way. Entity forbid that they be forced to develop less predictable tactics.
Exactly they start crying after the first match on the day a new killer is released.
Like why not play a bit more and test what works and what doesn't, that is the only way to get better.
But precisely as you said, the want to be able to see the killer so they can loop them easily and don't need to use a bit more braincells.
Mark my words, I'm very sure there will be a lot of survivor mains who start crying how "OP" the new wrait is gonna be.
I'm very confident that on day 1 there will be a lot of crying posts here on the forums π

Ah...Ok? As much as I can't really remember anyone, not even once, saying she was bad, she is not even close to being one of the most counterable killers. At all. If you want to have a chance of countering her, and mind you, I said a CHANCE, you need a perk (Iron Will). You don't really counter Spirit, it is the killer that makes mistakes. Cause, you know, you can't really counter what you cannot see. Not reliably. And no killer should ever be countered by a perk alone.
Wait really?
You need iron will against spirit?
Damn, than I've been doing it all wrong all the time because I never run iron will.
I was wondering why I escaped so much against her π
There is much you can do against her, the only problem a lot of people make is that they keep doing the exact same thing over and over again.
And then complain, reeee spirit has no counter play reee.
Mix things up and get in the head of spirit and you'll do fine.
Yes she is hard, but nowhere near as OP as many say.
She is only OP if you refuse to adapt to a different playstyle.
just as with ruin/undying, you need to adept and approach things a bit differently.
But unfortunately many lack the skill to adept or refuse it (or both), and than whine about perks and killers being OP.
-
@UncleStabby said:
I think this whole upsurge in no-counter-to-spirit whines is really telling about the community. You hardly heard a peep about spirit before Undying was getting nerfed, and now all the sudden Spirit is OP so long after her release. You know what the truth is? You just want something to complain about. Its our fault this game is going so rapidly downhill. Why don't we all just... get good?
Neither spirt was OP nor was ruin/undying.
Strong yes, OP not at all.
The problem is many people refuse to adept to a new playstyle, especially when they have to do a little more work.
Just playing a bit outside of the box is very hard for a lot of those pea brains unfortunately

Yeah as a person who ran DH ALOT before I can assure you that you cant go THROUGH them. You have a blight effect where you slide past them. If you ever hit straight on you get stopped but still invulnerable
Yeah I'm pretty sure if I could turn off auto aim, my hits would definitely be on point.
Funny thing is that I've tested it a while back and saw how terrible auto aim actually is.
It was egc and the last survivor just waited in the exit gate.
I stood behind her and spin around and than tried to hit her.
And guess what?
Not 1 single hit got to her and she wasn't moving either.
The game just decided to stop just before I would hit her and than continue to spin again.
Every single time, no matter when I attacked, it always stopped just next her.
I didn't let go of the stick, didn't move back or forwards, we both stayed on 1 spot.
So yeah auto aim is definitely a very bad feature in this game and should most definitely be considered as an option and not forced upon you.
About dh, I knew I wasn't crazy π
Weeeeeell maybe a tiny bit π¬
But yeah that is why it surprises me when survivors just dh trough me and I don't attack.
After trying it a few time myself and without success I don't try it anymore.
I rather dh somewhere into nothing and waist maybe only a few seconds should he attack, than dh into the killer

Really? Survivors ran through me all the time when they used DH. At least, I think they did. Or they've at least run by very close to me using Dead Hard. It's difficult to tell with the 1st person POV camera, really.
I've also had latency and frame drops where I wasn't sure if the survivor Dead Harded or not. I'll turn to my friend and be like, "Was that a Dead Hard?" and he often can't tell, either.
Yeah i have the same thing, they run trough me with Dead hard.
But whenever I try to do it as survivor I always feel like in the movies where a big guy is stopping you with 1 hand π
I just bumb the killer and don't go anywhere other than staying right in front of him

I never deal with that when I have to use bad wifi. So it makes me realize that I get hits that shouldnt hit which is always bad but if I don't deal with auto aim I dont feel as bad because auto aim just destroys console. I whiffed 4 time in a freaking row trying to hit a survivor ON FRONT OF ME.i followed and everything. So yeah tonight wasn't good
Yeah i don't know what the reason is behind it all.
I have a very good connection but sometimes I'm next to a corner and I lunge at a survivor while they go around the corner and the auto aim just turns me facing the wall.
It's not that I turned during the attack, I just always press forwards till I'm positive I can make the turn without getting stuck on the corner.
At least I would love to be able to turn off the auto aim and if that will put me at a disadvantage (if that's the reason why they put it on) than that would be a choice I'm willing to take

Huge difference between frames dropping and survivors spinning. When survivors spin, they're moving and I'm moving and the world is animated. When frames drop, nothing is moving, controls don't respond, and then suddenly the view is different and things are moving again. Huge difference between an in-game move and a complete lack of movement due to frame drops.
My internet is fine. I even use a cable rather than relying on wifi like a dolt. This is the only game that has problems. Red Dead Online and Battlefront II play great. In DbD, there are a lot of in-game actions that cause frames to drop. Opening a chest is one of them. Other players can perform the action and it still causes frame drops for me.
DbD is poorly optimized. Not everyone is going to have the same issues, but a lot of console players experience these problems. Just because they don't happen to you doesn't mean they don't happen. Be happy you're one of the lucky ones.
I wish that was true, I've done it to, well tried it, and everytime I dh towards the killer I was just stopped by him.
And it's not as he was far away or anything, he was just waiting for the dh on my ass.
I did the animation but just against the killer like as if you dh while running against the wall, didn't move from my spot

I don't have any of these issues on PS4 my frames are great. Maybe your internet isn't that great or it's being used on different devices when your playing causing it not to run optimally. Maybe the players are just more experienced causing them to be able to spin you, I don't get spun very often but when I do I just understand that they likely have more hours and experience than me after all there's always players out there better than how I or anyone else plays.
What he's saying is that on ps5 the new Xbox and oc, the game runs at at least 60 fps while on ps4 and the old Xbox it runs at 30 fps if lucky.
It might run a little bit better at the pro versions but not by much.
I play killer to and can confirm that they are able to phase trough you due to the latency.
Yesterday i had a guy who ran into a corner when he realised that, he turned around and dh in a straith line towards me and went through me.
And i play the ps4 version on the ps5.
Yeah i know it sounds weird but that has to do with the long waiting times and the micro hud

They won't turn hit validation into player validation if they have even a slightest bit of sanity.
Their net code probably could be better, however, I really doubt that they will remake it, because it's BHVR, they have 100 3d designers and two programmers hiding in the closet.
Yeah i don't expect them to rework it, tho it would be way better for them.
As it shows that they are capable of doing it and show a good interest in the whole community.
They should either rework/adjust it or go back to p2p.
p2p was not great, but way better than the garbage they created right now

@Erasox said:
The biggest problem is more the killer client-side detection they must change to server-side. Yes not all bs hits resolved but many. After pallet vault getting grabbed is annoying but i must say that was even possible in p2p days..
Unfortunately it isn't killer sided.
If it was than I wouldn't have any problems as killer.
I've played vs survivor from the Arabics and they were from 250 ping all the way up to 800 ping.
I was running against them in a straith line expecting they had dead hard but they didn't, so i went for the swing and it never register.
So yeah unfortunately it just goes to whoever has the worse ping who gets the advantage
-
@Bumbus said:
Even if you and killer both have decent ping killer can hit the air 1 meter behind your back thanks to dedicated servers. Nothing can be done about that, really.
So you better accept that hits in this game will always be moreless unfair. Even with more strict hit validation.
Nah I don't think we should accept it at all as they know it is just terrible.
I said it before and I keep saying it, they should have a talk with ubisoft about it because they had the same problem with rainbow six siege.
They worked about it and found a solution to make it more fair.
There it is now the opposite of dbd, worse ping will have a disadvantage over good pings.
Having a ping of 500 and up for i believe 30s?
The game will kick you out automatically.
If bhvr manage to do that than the game would be much more enjoyable because there are way less bogus hits or hits that should have landed but didn't
-
@Aven_Fallen said:
Hit Validation will never work. First of all, when does the Lag-Symbol appear? I think the grey Symbol appears on 200 Ping or something like that? This is already way to high, but this would mean that anything under 200 is good Ping. Which is clearly not.
Then it comes to Dedicated Servers - there are regions where no Dedicated Server is nearby. This means that those players living in those regions will have high ping, there is no way around it. And when it comes to Hit Validation, you cannot make a system which makes Hits with high Ping not count AND Servers which result in high Ping.
E.g. Russians have quite high Ping usually, because they are connecting to EU-Servers. Nothing the Russian players can do at this point. Sure, in theory Hit Validation could prioritize the player with the better Ping, but it isnt, because this would also be pretty unfair. This would mean that Russian players cannot reliable hit Survivors who live closer to the Servers, while not being able to do anything about it.
To have fairer Hits, we would need to go back to P2P. This will not happen. But at the very least (and this SHOULD 100% be done) the Ping of the Killer should be shown in the Lobby.
Exactly what I've been saying about it.
Unfortunately bhvr won't listen to it because they think it is way better this way π€¦ββοΈπ€·ββοΈ
Also people from the Arabics play on EU server and they are even worse than Russia as their ping is even higher
-
@Aztreonam78 said:
My ping is 40 ms, the amount of unfair hits did not change at all.
I still get a lot of hits through dropped pallets, when I am 1 meter away from windows, etc.
Devs, what are you doing? The result of your job that took a while barely has any effects.
π
I just made a post about this yesterday asking the same question.
The problem is that both with killer and survivor, the person who has the worse connection will gain the advantage.
Now I'm not the person who would do it, tho I'm something am seriously considering trying to get a very bad connection too so I get a bit more fair games for once

So, with Power Struggle, we see a perk that is hard to activate on occasion, similar to the problems with Flip Flop. Granted, Flip Flop is decent in that some Killers don't expect it and it grants enough room to escape should the Killer have been careless. I like this quality of Flip Flop.
With Power Struggle, the needed 25% wiggle progress is fine, but in most situations, especially if the user is Elodie, the Killer will most definitely avoid pallets, as even without Power Struggle it's a gamble to shuffle on through those, since a survivor could be waiting.
In my opinion, Power Struggle should at least have a secondary quality to it so that it can be just a little more viable. For me, I think it personally should increase the time it takes for the Killer to recover from your pallet stuns by 15%.
15% is a very small but noticeable increase, as that makes the stun last 3.45 seconds, nearly an extra half second to the stun. I think this would be a small, but welcome addition to Power Struggle, as it allows for just a little more benefit from it's usage. Thoughts?
TL;DR: Power Struggle should additionally allow a 15% increase to pallet stun duration (3.45 seconds).
The perk is fine as it is.
It's more a perk to meme with but in a swf it can be very strong as there is no limit on the usage.
If you want the best out of it you have to use flip flop as you said and best is to use tenacity too, so if you go down you can crawl and recover at the same time especially when there are other survivors around.
But no need for a buff imo.
Also every killer that uses his brain won't walk past a pallet when carrying you.

it's not just that particular situation. The entire problem with key is that they basically steal victory from killer. In 99% of situations where keys are used, they act as deus ex machina that just takes survivor out of desperate situation where they ended up because of their/their team's mistakes. And that's awful.
Mories were just making game significantly more difficult, while keys literally steal victory from you right before you almost got it. Worst feeling ever.
I know it's not that specific situation, he just brought it up.
But indeed getting robbed of a victory because the survivors just played badly and getting rewarded for it is a bad feeling.
I can remember a game as demo on the swamp and they didn't even 3 gen themselves, they just didn't break the portals and I had 2 add ons for recovery speed so I could quickly use portals as soon as i came out of them.
I didn't saw the starting screen so didn't expect they had a key and during the match I didn't pay attention to it.
All of a sudden the game dies and I couldn't find them as the were crouching around the map.
And all of a sudden the game was over because all 3 escaped through the hatch.
Did they deserve that escape?
Not even close as they would have died the next time I put them on the hook.
But because of a broken mechanic that rewards bad play and a single press of 1 button they escaped

Neither is it to have exit gates spawn next to each other, possibly with a hill in the middle that the killer can sit on. Unless gates spawn on opposite sides of the map, the last survivor will have no chance of escaping, anyway (considering the hatch closed). And well, the whole 3 gen thing isn't exactly fair, either. Having a killer hit someone then go from one gen to another until the end of times gets obnoxious really fast. Sure, that depends on which gens survivor complete, but it shouldn't be possible if they game was properly done. But if you are lamenting multiple survivors escaping through the hatch when 1 gen is missing to power the gates, it means that you weren't really able to keep up with them. You can't blame them directly for that, since you didn't apply enough pressure, nor did you do it fast enough.
Agree I don't like it when both exits are next to each other I don't argue about that.
They said they "fixed" it but as usual they didn't.
If you let yourself push off the gen realy easy that that is on you.
If you see him coming, you run.
He doesn't chase but just kick the gen, go back and start repairing it.
Yes it is slow but the regression from the kick is barely noticeable and before he's even back you already got more repaired then what he kicked off.
Don't be afraid if you get hit.
If he doesn't commit to the chase than go back and continue while injured.
Or touch it and then heal if you are not confident.
Remember, he has to commit to a chase eventually because he's gonna lose it anyway when all 3 gens are repaired at the same time.
And i disagree with you if they got to 1 gen left, there are multiple factors in play.
They could have used toolboxes, BNP, prove thy self.
It is always possible to get back from it as killer.
I've had a match as scratch mirror myers and I brought a map offering for the game, the survivors brought the clown map and they got it.
They got to 1 gen which wasn't a 3 gen btw and I still got a 4k.
This was before nemesis btw and I don't think I was using pwyf either.
Now if you play killer than you know how terrible slow myers is at T1 and you can barely surprise them on that map.
So yeah it's not always on the killer when they get to 1 gen.
Even if you apply pressure they can easily get to 1 gen left, everyone could even be on their dead hook and still get to 1 gen

they said nothing about "nerfs" considering keys. They simply said that keys are going to be 'changed'.
The worst survivor mains can expect as "payback" for forgetting about mories is a few seconds animations on keys and maybe 1 survivor/key requirement, which isn't going to change much, since the main problem with keys is that how they allow survivors escape from tremendously hard situations like being 3 genned.
Which is a mistake they made and even getting rewarded for it too.
If you have a feeling you get 3 genned, than do whatever you can to stop that.
You got 4 survivors so just spread over gens on 1 side to counter the 3 gen.
Escaping when you allow to get 3 genned, isn't realy a fair mechanic

People hate Hag cause she has the most unfun play style of camping she is a monster at camping
True she can camp but basically every killer can camp.
If you know you go against hag just crouch and unhook.
If you she she's coming back immediately after the unhook than take a hit.
If she stays to close to the hook than do the same as with every other killer, rush the gens and leave.
Sure it's not fun for the person on the hook, but it punish the killer harder as survivor you rank up easier than killer.
If I'm being camped than I don't mind that the others do gens and leave.
As long as they wait at the exit till my struggle phase is over as it will lose her more points then

If you can down and hook 2 survivors, down a third and pick them up within 60 seconds I don't think that DS is gonna affect the match in any way if you're downing them this fast. It's really stupid when it happens but it's a mild inconvenience at best.
It didn't but that wasn't my point.
My point is that I don't tunnel and hooked other survivors but I still get punished for the mistakes of the survivors.
And trust me it can for sure turn around the match.
I've had games as survivor where I played just stupid and went down way to fast for my standards.
So when I got unhooked on my 2nd hook the killer thought let's get him out because he's not that good and I can't blame him even though only 2 gens were done.
I hit ds and he kept going for me (even though I understand it it was his mistake), he actually went on losing the match as all 4 of us escaped.
All it takes is 1 survivor on the gen and 1 survivor with ds who can adept when needed the most.

Every perk you mentioned is not used nearly as much as BBQ except maybe DS. And none of them give double BP. As killer Iβve almost never played against OoO, which is annoying, but whatever. The point of the thread is BBQ is OP because it gives double BP, the aura reading capability and itβs used in probably 75% of games. Maybe you should read things more carefully before responding.
Wait what?
No way dude, you gotta be high right?
Bbq OP because of the bp?
Really?
πππππππππππππ
For real you changed from aura reading to bp, if you gonna argue about a perk than stay at 1 point and don't suddenly change it when you're proven wrong.
And before saying "I never said that"
Here is 1 of your comments.

Thatβs 4 seconds x 11 (max number of hooks before 4K). You can take the risk and not hide, but it still gives information to the killer. The point of it being OP is most killers use it, it is used for aura reading either to point out the next target or give at minimum good info and gives double bp. I play trapper a lot with bbq and I find it quite useful to find my next target. Killers should at least be honest that itβs used for more than the bp. Thatβs all. I donβt think anything you say will convince me itβs not so letβs leave it at that.
And about ds, yes that is used in 95 out of 100 matches, way more than bbq.
I played survivor all day today (without ds) and barely saw any bbq.
And yes OoO is freaking annoying in a swf especially when you play freddy vs all 4 using it.
And believe me that it is used way more than you might tell yourself.

Sounds logic but it is still flawed.
If you read a previous comment from me you would know.
I've been hit with ds several times after hooking 2 other survivors.
I found survivor 1 again at which you won't expect ds anymore, but what a surprise it was I still got hit by ds.
Now if that to falls under tunneling then I think I might stop playing dbd at all π

How come spirit Slinger and Hag havenβt been nerfed yet if they only listen to survivors. There the most complained killers and yet they havenβt been touched while survivors lost god loops, Insta heals, old DS and BT, exhaustion, they added entity blockers and bloodlust to help killers out. People complain everyday about NOED and yet it hasnβt been nerfed so not everything gets nerfed
Spirit got nerfed 2, maybe even 3, times so yeah they do nerf them.
Btw, what is wrong with hag, did I miss something?
Since when did she becomes "OP"?
Is that because 1 or more streamers said that?
Because to my knowledge, she has easy counters and isn't even good to commit chases with.
If you are a patato or new to the game I can understand she might seem OP, but she is far from OP.

Don't forget you have small game and of course a map with an add on. If you really wanted get it easier you can even run detective hunch but nah survivors want the meta.
Hahaha yup.
But you don't think they want to switch that for some meta perks right.
Can you believe how patato they would be if they weren't using ds, ub and even soul guard with it? π
And they definitely don't want to switch their key or metkit with insta heals for a map π
It's pretty sad tbh if you ask me

@Renfear said:
The time limit on DS is not that long. You've got what, 50 seconds? And once it gets burned it's gone. One time use.Same with Unbreakable, you burn it, it's gone. This is, in fact, a pretty niche situation that killers have a tendency to force themselves into. I run DS and oftentimes, I never get a chance to use it because my hooks are too far apart. That's how it should be. So, if you're getting DSed, then maybe you're not trying to tunnel but the timer doesn't lie. Even in that case, it's a one time thing per match per survivor and not everyone runs DS.
It's 60 seconds to be exact.
And like I said it most of the time doesn't have anything to do with tunneling but abusing it and forcing the killer to grab you because you are invulnerable for 1 minute.
The best way to change ds is just to deactivate it as soon as you start working on a gen, heal another or yourself, do a unhook or something like that.
About burning it, i can only say what the person above my previous post said.
What's the crying about ruin/undying?
Totem spawns are easy to find and to cleanse and so you got 2 killer perks deactivated.
See itot that hard
-
@Renfear said:
I don't get why people complain about this. It's two perk slots for things you can only use once. Yeah, it's irritating, but there's an easy workaround. Don't tunnel people. It's not hard. If one person just got unhooked, go for the other guy. Seriously, all this complaining about people punishing killers for having bad manners. If someone is able to DS you, you shouldn't have gone for them in the first place. If you down someone and they can't DS you, grab and hook em, so Unbreakable doesn't do anything.
Now, I get that there are toxic survivors out there, I play both sides, but these are reactionary perks, not like flashlights or head on. I do find it funny that when I complain about Doctor and the list of like, sixteen different abilities he has, the killer mains tell me to quit being a baby and get good. Shoe's on the other foot here.
Eventhough it sounds right I still have to disagree with you on that one.
I've been hit by ds several times while I don't even tunnel.
Hooked 2 other survivors when I found the first survivor again.
When i downed her and picked her up I got hit by ds.
Tell me were did I tunnel her and why is it justified that I got hit by ds?
That is the problem what a lot of people fail to see, you don't tunnel anyone and still get punished for survivors mistakes.
Now did i tunnel the person straight of the hook and got hit by ds than it would be justified.
But after 1 or 2 new hooks and than get hit by ds from the first survivor is far from fair.
That, that is what need to be changed.
Ds is abused with ub as invulnerability to unhook in your face, do gens or anything else what otherwise would have been punished hard.

It's not about your connection.
It's about the other player.
Every online game where players interact with each other have this issue. Is why you can get shot while behind cover.
This I know, unfortunately it is the other way round with dbd.
Rainbow six siege had this problem too in the early days.
You could have a really good ping but for example you got shot by someone with 1000 ping (just for example).
You could be firing on him and nothing happens and al of a sudden 1 second later you are dead.
Same with peeking, bad connection saw you before you saw them.
Ubisoft actually acknowledge this and addressed this problem, and believe me it played way smoother.
I'm very certain that this issue is the same with dbd as given by the examples.
I can understand there will always be latency, but that isn't the case here.
The example I gave as killer where I hug the survivor who ran in a straith line?
I didn't hit as soon as i was up on his ass, i waited for a bit because I thought he had dh.
Yet as soon as i went for the hit it never registered.
The problem is just, as long as your ping is worse than theirs you have more advantage and thus more chances to get away with a hit or without getting hit.
And to be fair, imo ever since they implemented the hit validation it has become worse then when it was p2p.
But that is my opinion but I think many will agree with it

Is there any truth to the notion that as you Prestige the more desirable perks are supposed to appear more frequently? I have Prestiged a character to level 3 and Dead Hard which I have equipped in most of my other builds has appeared twice out of over 150 bloodwebs, and both times it was on my initial progress through the bloodweb. It would appear the more you advance the less likely you are to get the "meta" perks. I don't use self care, but it has appeared once out of over 150 bloodwebs, and that seems to be another popular "meta" perk.
Apparently the more you prestige the less likely you are to get good perks. Is this on purpose? Or is the whole thing random? I have prestiged multiple characters and the perks I use most often also seem to appear with great infrequency. Would it not be better to reward prestige players rather than make them do the most grinding to get a decent build?
That is a reason why i don't prestige, I've done it in the past with 2 survivors and 1 killer.
But i don't see the point of it all to prestige, yeah sure it looks funny covered in blood but that's it, it's not even nice to see just funny.
The survivor i always use has all the perks, so i don't plan to throw them away for a stupid prestige.
Same with killers, almost all killers have all the perks.
Now why do I want to throw them away?

Trust me I know. I only play solo and rarely ever play killer.
Don't worry, I won't ever underestimate the devs. When the Devs nerfed Huntresses lullaby to no longer affect the Doctors madness skill checks, I wondered why, it was never really that hard, and the counter wasn't too terrible, just find the totem. Then I found a video that shows one of the devs playing against the doctor and missing every skill check over and over and said thats not how it is supposed to be....and it was nerfed.
Yeah with the last Q&A they made it very clear they suck at playing survivor.
"I find it harder to pip as survivor than as killer"
Like how?
Are they playing with their eyes closed or something as survivor?
It's the most easiest and most relaxed part of dbd and to pip, it just shows how little they actually know about their own game.
I mean you don't have to be a god player as a dev, but sucking at the easiest part of the game sure tells a lot
