I bought Pig last night, and I've played 3 matches with her so far. I'm still trying to get the hang of the dash and ambush attacks, but that's to be expected. As for her traps, I thought a Survivor wasn't able to escape through the exit gates with a trap on their head?

I downed a Claudette during EGC, but she was still able to crawl out the exit gates with the trap on her head. I thought that could only happen if trying to escape through the hatch? If traps don't become active during EGC, then that seems to really limit Pig's power as a Killer.

    Thoughts?

If you put a trap on someone before the last gen pops than they can't get out of the gates and have to go for the boxes.

There is 1 but, if they have a trap on them which is active, they can however escape trough the hatch.

That is the only escape possible with an active trap on.

If you put a trap on them after the last gen pops than they can escape trough the exit gates.

    About the ambush attack.

Don't bother using it cause it barely works.

Whenever I play as miss piggy I only use her crouch for stealth.

The only time I ever use the ambush attack is at a pallet loop where I'm able to break line of sight.

I crought during the loop, mostly at a pallet, than charge and try to mindgame them.

I make them guess at which side I'm going for.

Usually dash a bit to 1 side to throw them off and then quickly go to the other side to get a hit on them.

But as I said earlier, the ambush attack barely works.

At least in high ranks, and as I described when doing it at a pallet loop, it's also just up to the survivors how quick their reaction is.

As for good add ons, I use tempered timer and crates of gears.

Don't expect headpops with the traps, only slow downs on gens when they search the boxes.

But those 2 add ons together increases the odds of getting a headpop.

A killer who specialises in the 1v1 doesn’t need 115% move speed. He can down at a fairly long distance so it’s unnecessary.

As right as you are, there is a flaw in your logic.

A decent survivor (not even a good one) will try to break line of sight.

So if you down a survivor at a long distance than it is purely luck or it is a patato survivor who is either low rank or has no idea how to loop.

Trickster has to capitalise of survivors mistakes more than any other killer.

If he does a wrong read than he will be punished heavily.

  • @TauNkosi said:

    1. Unlike his counterparts, Trickster does not take away a health state as quickly/reliably as huntress or Deathslinger. Trickster requires 8 full hits to take away a health state while Huntress/Deathslinger only need one, making them the better killer. Yes, he throws his shots more rapidly but they can be easily avoided if you have even the slightest knowledge on how to run loops which leads into my next point...

    2. It will help him in loops/chases. As it stands, trickster takes a long time to down a good survivor (which is like everyone cause I'm a purple rank) and by the time you do get them down, 1-2 gens will have already popped. Time wasted in a chase that would've ended a lot sooner if only you were able to actually catch up to the survivor who's already at another loop/tile and so the cycle repeats! This leads to tunneling and camping which is not fun at all.

    3. It will give him more map pressure. Tricksters map pressure is almost none existent and the fact he NEEDS ruin/undying to perform half-decent is sad. Since making him 115 helps him down people more reliably, getting to the other side of the map to pressure a gen will be a lot quicker. It will discourage camping cause they know they have have the necessary speed to stop that gen from being popped.

I understand people say this isn't what the trickster needs to be good but I strongly disagree. I feel making him 115% will help him out greatly in many aspects such as chases, loops and map pressure. I just feel so damn slow playing him because he takes a long time to do just about everything. I never feel that way playing huntress.

"But this will make him an M1 killer and people will not use his knives!"P

People will not stop using his knives because like huntress's hatchets, they're a blast to throw and hitting them is satisfying as hell. It'll just be easier for him to follow up with an M1 after injuring a survivor? Is that such a bad thing?

I'm also open to many other changes such as laceration meter not decaying, decreased amount of knives to injure, being able to hold onto main event, ricochet being base kit, etc. I just feel very strongly about this one and I stand by it. Will it happen? Probably not but hey, one can dream right? I want trickster to be good. I love everything about him from his design to backstory but his gameplay can be frustrating no matter how fun it is throwing those knives. He's no longer the weakest killer in the game but he still suffers from many of the same problems even with his buffs.

Tru3 had a hood buff to him while keeping him 110%.

I don't know exactly all the points but 2 of then are a survivor being hit by knives but not downed have to option to take out the knives or keep them in.

Every single knives has to taken out separately.

So they can choose to just do a gen but having the risk to (when they have for example 7 knives in them) to be downed quickly.

    So high risk, high reward.

Also whenever a survivor is hooked the others with knives in them won't loose them like it is now.

    Ok a think i remember 3 of them I think 😬

The other one is for his main event.

During main even you get 1 knives to throw.

But that 1 knives will take away 1 health state, or insta down a survivor, don't know exactly which of the 2.

But personally I have no issue with either one of them.

This will make him a lot stronger and more viable.

  • @OldHunterLight said:

So when is breakdown abuse going to be banable? I thought people were exaggerating until I played against 3 swf with the same build and less hooks offering.

So it is ok to abuse that bug? Good to know

Come on you should know bhvr by now.

As long as it is killer related and it puts the killer in a disadvantage, they won't bother to much about it.

They will probably look at it by accident or when bugs that puts survivors in a disadvantage are all solved.

So yeah, it will be probably be in the game for a long time and allowed to be abused for a long time

  • @Tsulan said:

That isn´t that bad. Since the Wraith isn´t that particuarly strong.

Would you prefer Iri Huntress instead?

Wraith is stronger than most realize especially when you know how to play him, which a lot of people don't know unfortunately.

There's barely a match that is lost as wraith as rank 1.

Hey better than the same scummy SWF 2 matches in a row with a hatch offering and a key they pick at the very last minute so you can't dodge.

You can be scummy too you face the same swf and they do that.

It's not nice and I don't condone it when people do it, but you can close the game during the loading screen without consequences.

By the time they are back to search a new match, you are already in a new one

I just played nurse, for about 3 weeks, and I instantly got into top %, and destroy survivors honestly every single match unless its lerys or coldwind. Nurse isn't that hard, she even takes less skills than any other killer such as pig and spirit, if you don't trust me you can try her, she needs a nerf, even as a rank 1 it is extremely sweaty to play against a purple rank nurse, she is more broken than anyone.

Hey sluzzy has a new account 🤣

The fact that you have trouble versing a Wraith speaks volumes about your skill. Your teammates would probably be better off without you.

    Wraith isn't really that terrible.

I get a 3k or 4k most of the time and am able to crush swf and even give those gen rush deathsquads a very hard time.

He's so much stronger then most people think, you just need to know how to play him 😉

When i get face camped and die i always give the lowest possible rating for the match

Same here, but i will stay on the hook despite being facecamped.

If the killer wants to do that, then by all means as long as the other 3 just rush the gens.

I will struggle as long as possible and make sure he loses points for it.

I know I get my pip as survivor back easier than he will in the next match.

  • @HuDawg said:

Being face camped isnt exactly fun so i understand why one would suicide on hook because of that. So i say it is justified in this case.

I totally agree with you on the fact that facecamping is very unfun.

Killing yourself on the hook for that?

No i don't justify that at all.

Cause what you are doing is screwing over your team and you basically saying "if i can't have a fun game then no one can have a fun game"

Whenever you ######### on the hook because you get facecamped, you give the killer another target and camp that person.

If he does the same as you did then the killer goes to the next survivor, and so on,and giving him a undeserved 4k because of that.

Best way to punish those killers is by staying as long on the hook as possible as the other 3 are rushing the gens.

The killer gets barely any points and will only depip.

And when he gets that result every match where he tries that than you will most likely not see him again until he changes his playstyle.

If more survivors did this than you barely have any campers in the game as it doesn't rewards them enough, unfortunately many survivors are way to over altruistic and play right into the killers hand

I want to hear all your opinions on dodging SWF. I've been guilty of cherry picking my lobby many times before and i dont think it will stop if i see a SWF whether its 3 or 4 man on red rank with flashlights then nope im out.

The only lobby I dodge if it's a swf from the Arabics, which has the most horrific pings and thus very unfun to go against.

Other than that i don't mind swf that much

Old Freddy was fun and fine. He was weak and needed buff. But rework was not necessary.

Old Freddy needed just little changes. I mean awake survivors can bodyblock you. And you cant hit them. So you can change it to when you carry someone all survivors can get hit. Changes like that. But no, they reworked him.

I hope one day devs will add Old Freddy with add-on (Black Box)

    Hahaha yeah the devs 🤦‍♂️

Also the black box is just freaking hilarious the way they made it on the ptb 🤣

    Like what are 10s?

You just loop him around 1 time and you run out 🤣

And that for an iri 🤦‍♂️🤣

Just make it so that a survivor has to wake up to be able to escape, then it is worth as an iri.

In it's current state it's not worth more than a yellow add on

  • @QwQw said:

So, as everyone already knows, Freddy recently got nerfed. I personally doubt the changes will effect him too much, but what I'm mad about is that it shows the devs' ignorance towards his actual problems. The problem with Freddy wasn't that he was strong, it was that he was strong and boring.

Instead of making his power fun and interesting for both sides, they just gave him a nerf and called it a day.

But I digress, this wasn't what I made this thread to talk about.

No, what I'm TRULY mad about is the fact that they haven't given us a way to play as Old Freddy.

I've seen so many people asking to play as him again, and I completely understand why. Though Old Freddy may not have been the strongest out there, he was unique, there was no other killer like him.

Hell, why the devs thought reworking Freddy in the first place was a good idea, I simply do not understand.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/D4WVECR9D4JR/image-284-29.png

All they needed to do is revert this nerf, and I personally believe Freddy would have been in a perfect spot.

Like, is it really that hard to give us an add-on, or a toggle of some kind to let us use Old Freddy's power? I see no reason why the devs haven't already done this, other than out of laziness, or stubbornness.

Hell what makes it even worse, is that they REUSED ASSETS FROM OLD FREDDY'S POWER FOR THIS NERF.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IwaDgSKImpI

In King's video, at around 5:40 seconds in, you can see him hit a Dwight, and it plays the exact same effect as when Old Freddy would try to hit an awake survivor.

You guys have the assets, why is there no option to play as Old Freddy?

    #GiveUsBackOldFreddy

I would only love to be able to play as old freddy if they change back his add ons to the old ones he had back then.

That way I can bring them to sleep really fast what most of the survivors never expected. 😬

For me the fun is in the chase not looking for 4 blendettes on yomako. Also how fun the chase is depends on who im playing really and what the map is. For instance no matter who i play the game is a unfun experience. God pallet after god pallet after god pallet. Who finds that fun? Its boring for both killer and survivor. I like the loops where i can hide my red stain moonwalk hit outsmart the survivor. Loops should be about mindgames not just holding w to safe pallet after safe pallet. To bad those are far between.

Oh I can assure you that hunting 4 blendettes on yomako is really fun, especially when all 4 bring purple mist 😬

None of them were save for my all seeing wraith, and loads of salty messages were coming my way 🤣

Also where's the Pig nerf, STATISTICS say she's overperforming.

Yeah that's one of them too.

I just think they have a clue what they do or what they want.

I think they just look at killers they don't like, especially with the comment on of the devs made during a Q&A about the doc.

Where he literally said "and then I was thinking which killer do i not like to go against?"

I don't mind devs aren't that good at their own game, but you can't make changes to your game just for you to get a bit easier.

  • @ClownIsUnderrated said:

They focus way to much on STATISTICS, also if a killer gets a 3K or 4K way to much then that means they overperform and need a massive nerf. That's the reason why Billy got a massive rework, which still to this day nobody likes.

Yup and that is one of the thing I agree on with Tru3.

If they go of statistics, then where is the buff to nurse?

Cause statistically she is under performing and thus in for a big buff 🤷‍♂️

They can't use statistics for 1 er and throw them out the window for another.

Hahaha yeah i don't think he was smiling after that anymore 🤣.

That's why they only play against lower ranks so they feel like they're doing a good job and can avoid another embarrassment like that hag game 😜😬

    But on a serious note.

It would a very wise decision from them to have a good talk with higher skilled people from dbd.

Preferably people who play both sides, or an equal amount of people who play just killer or survivor.

That way they will get a better understanding of the game and it's balance.

And can make better adjustments accordingly.

But that's just my opinion and I would be very surprised if the devs actually do something like that, cause I don't believe that that will ever happen.

  • @Swampoffering said:

Do you know killers usually have ranking +0 result even if they have 4 kill in this game, so that mean if they let one person escape, they usually get the ranking +0, or even -1.

You don't remake the unfair killer ranking system, but you still want to make the killing rate to 50%? fair? bullshit.

    Devs never play killer.

Hahaha yeah they do play killer.

    In kyf 😅😂

But yeah no matter what server, the balance is broken everywhere.

I have had several games where I got a 4k with 32k points and what did I get for is?

    A blackpip 😂

So having a "perfect" game (looking at kills and points) is considered as a draw? 🤷‍♂️

So, i've been doin a lot more survivor lately (Mainly to play with my fiancé) and just had this in a game. Guy won, pretty decent demo, but then instead of GG immediately goes with this. Firstly, did SOME chases (Mainly just looped around a car etc till down, chase was maybe a minute or so... Guy tunneled the poor rank 5 off hook almost every single time.

So I keep seeing posts "Looping is so boring" "Looping takes no skills" etc etc. So what is it OTHER killers really want? You want chases but the only way to really chase is looping. You dont want "Hiding" (The only time there was any hiding was after 2 people were dead, me and the feng hid in the basement real quick to avoid him and heal to full.) Just curious. I have no problem with people hiding when i'm killer. People do it all the time. (I run whispers though so...yeah lol)

There really is no winning with this community it feels. (If people aint calling me a "Furry" Because I have a Poochyena picture as my profile picture on the forums it's something obscure) just take the GG and move on =w=

People from both sides have different expectations from one side, anything that difference from that is considered boring, toxic, salty or whatever.

I got for example face camped to dead on my first hook because he found what I did toxic.

What I did can be considered as annoying but not toxic, at least I don't find it toxic when it happens to me.

All I did was finish the first gen right in his face.

Was working with someone else on a gen and got it at about 98% when he tried to interrupt us.

We both took a hit and finished the gen and ran away.

When he finally got me i got facecamped because of that play.

So yeah some people have very low standards when it comes to what is considered toxic, boring, salty, etc.

Not much you can do about it unfortunately.

3 survivors will never make it out against a camping killer if both sides play optimally. The killer will always have time to get 2 kills. But you also have to realize the killer is camping, and unless the 3 survivors are SWF or using Kindred, they will waste time trying to figure it out.

I have to disagree with you on that 😉

And yeah I'm solo but not sure about the others.

This is a vid before all that ui update but the fastest I could think of

    https://youtu.be/Dl3TIP0yedE

Edit: I agree it is later in the game but I realised it pretty fast as well as the David.

But things like this also happened when it starts at the beginning and still 3 escape 😉

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/239836/how-devs-could-effectively-address-camping-this-is-not-about-the-legitimacy-of-camping-as-a-killer

There is 2 different kinds of camping. One is fine in the context of the current game. The other is not.

The kind that is not, is facecamping when the gens aren't done. And i mean like, pure, insidious bubba facecamping. It's boring for everyone in the game and causes issues.

The other kind, is the kind that is tactically the best move to make. There are a few scenarios that SURVIVORS put themselves in that make this type of camping the best play to make based on the game state:

    • The killer just hooked a survivor, then the other 3 survivors pop 3 gens. Why should the killer leave the hook, typically, all 3 of the people who just finished the gens are going to go to the hook. 3 gens just got done so there isn't a point partrolling the other 4 gens, you KNOW survivors aren't working on them.
    • You hook a survivor near your 3 gen. Why leave the hook? You are defending your 3 gen and the hook at the same time.
    • The survivors keep saving off the hook within seconds of you leaving. Why bother leaving if i know they are right there to save as soon as i leave?
    • You hook a survivor and all the other survivors are injured. The pressure is on them now. They need to heal up in order to get the save, if they just do gens, wait for 1 hook state then go after them, sure they might pop 3 gens, but they are all injured and ripe for slugging and getting a quick 4k.

The problem is that survivors "tunnel" the generators and don't think about the game state and the times where it is advantageous for the killer to camp. They instead, mindlessly rush the gens, and pop 3 gens right away, or stay injured to go for gens and then put themselves in situations where camping is a good strategy.

Personally i have to disagree with the camping when 3 gens pop with your first hook?

The game isn't lost at that point and it can go either way.

For example, not long ago I played wraith on the thompson House map and found and downed the first survivor really fast, about on 40ish seconds into the game.

As I walked to the hook 2 gens popped, and the 3rd when I hooked her.

Sure I could do what you said and don't leave the hook, but where's the fun in that.

I have to admit that it looked dire for me and tbh i didn't expect to get a win or even a kill in that game, and a was doing a challenge as well.

But despite all odd I got a 4k out of that game.

    Reason?

Even though they split the map with a gen in the middle and 2 in each corner of the map, they focused all their attention on the middle gen for some reason.

My point of it all is to never give up and and just try.

Most of the times when gens are flying, they usually suck at being chased.

Imo the only time to camp is when all gens are done and you have either 0 or 1 kill, at that point I say fair enough and can accept that at that point

nowhere did you say it was fun?

Did you forget the part where you said "i love getting tunneled" I mean I can't blame you for forgetting it because of how stupid it was but hey I got you buddy here it is so you can read the dumb stuff you posted

As I said before we type again if you learn to read, which you proven again you can't.

Cause you only read what you want to read.

You are correct where i said that I love to get tunneled.

But that is only because that was what you wanted to read, if you read it fully om the start you would have seen what I said exactly before that.

But here's what I typed exactly for you.

"Yup tunneling and camping isn't fun for the person who is affected by it, tho i love getting tunnelled, but these are strategies and punishes over altruistic survivors"

There you go, you see that i said that it isn't fun for the person affected by it? 😉

Now move along to specsavers sluzzy.

    For your other post.

I wasn't there to test it, but i wouldn't be surprised if they haven't tried it.

But i can think of 1 problem with that.

They only have to lose sight of the survivor they chase which is pretty fast and easy to do, and they're not in a chase anymore which will stop the timer again.

Keep doing that and unhook as soon as the last gen pops and its gg game over.

And if you face a real hard facecamper, he would just abuse it by letting you run in front of his face and let the timer go down.

So there are definitely serious flaws about a hook timer being stopped and restarting while in chase.

Pretty sure there will be some others which I can't think of atm.

But these 2 are just from the top of my head (or however you want to call it).

Best thing to do against it is what I said earlier and that is just rush gens.

Sure it ain't fun for the hooked person but better then the killer get the 4k from just camping.

Been in the same situation and I always want the others to rush the gens and get out

  • 🤣 Keep trolling mate.

Nowhere did I say it was fun to camp or being camped.

Nowhere did I say how the devs could adres tunneling or camping.

Nowhere did I say I was a killer main nor that I camp.

But I think it's a good time to go to specsavers for some glasses.

There have been countless people saying how the devs tried something but how much it was abused.

So we will type again when you read it correctly

i really like to play dead by daylight as survivors but honestly i have to say, there is some killers who are so overpowered Nurse,Nightmare, trickster and the aim assist is the worst thing that works on ranged heroes,

i play as survivor solo lobby A killer start Tunnel me until i die no once can do anything he just wants me to dead after mi got hooked he goes to another survivor it means killer has same perks slots + his own Power but survivor only has 4 perks.

The game is in killers favour,i don't like that , it's so frustrating. New updates are just coming but no one was solving this thing.

My suggestion as someone who plays both sides and as solo survivor, is very simple.

Do the same as me, play both sides.

This way you get a better understanding about the game, how others play against certain killers.

You get to know what their weaknesses are as well as their strength.

Especially in the lower ranks this is a good idea to do because killers feel like they are OP, but once you get a better understanding of the game you will see a power shift happening and you will do much better as a survivor

Can you camping killers make up your minds, is camping some easily avoidable thing that survivors can easily beat or something necessary for killers as the only way to win. It can't be both.

And then stop whatever you decide dont post jt here because this discussion isn't about that. Ots about how the devs can change the mechanics

Funny how you call me a camping killer despite you not knowing anything about me whatsoever.

Cause if you did, then we would have met before or you have watched some vids of me, but then you would know I play both sides and I don't camp when I play killer.

So cut salty attitude because you got camped by someone and go rage somewhere else maybe.

About something for the devs to implement about it?

They tried as many have already told you.

And as I told you, if someone is being camped then stay away and let the killer lose points and the game

I keep seeing posts here and elsewhere complaining about the ds change and how it doesn't stop tunneling followed immediately by killer mains complaining that it didn't stop tunneling it was just used unfairly or toxicly. Here's what I can't figure out if they really want to address tunneling or camping why not target the part of the game that everyone hates, killers sitting by the hook waiting to get the guy again. Simply target that action directly. Either by something simple like the survivor hook time not going down when the killer is close or going down slowly to punish camping, or a perk that let's you mess with the killer when your on the hook again the punish the bad play directly

    1. It aren't only killer mains who do it, it's also killers who play both sides who do it.

    2. Easy counter to camping, don't try the rescue just rush gens and get out.

If there are survivor within 16m of the hooked survivor and the camping killer, then the killer don't lose points.

If you just do gens the killer lose points and will definitely depip.

If you want to go for the rescue then do it after the gens and with BT.

    3. If you're a good looper then the killer will have a hard time when tunneling you.

If you're not then throw pallets earlier but don't run away immediately, run when he breaks the pallet.

Yup tunneling and camping isn't fun for the person who is affected by it, tho i love getting tunnelled, but these are strategies and punishes over altruistic survivors

I miss old Freddy. Playing hit&run was fun. Coming back for survivors that thought they´re save and healed was the best feeling ever!

Hahaha yeah i agree he was so much fun back then.

For me they didn't have to do a complete rework, if they only added his current teleportation and take away the aura reading he had back then for survivor in the dream world, that would have been completely fine.

He was a lot of fun back then. Keeping all 4 survivors all the time asleep wasn´t an easy task. But it sure felt rewarding. People called him pay2lose back then. But i loved it.

Hahaha yeah you had your hams full on getting them in dream world 😂

When i first started playing him I hated it.

But when I got the right perks and add ons, he became really strong and way more fun.

How about you post at least 2 screenshots of theses easy games, maybe let us see your emblem scores too.

He plays killer in ranks 20 to 15, the place where killer is actually strong because survivors don't know what to do yet.

It will change whenever he gets to the purple and red ranks.

His stories will fade away then

Nope, you´re not the only one. Freddy was my main, before they turned him into something else. Now i only play him for dailys.

I wouldn´t mind, if they changed him back to the original concept. But with some QoL changes.

Oh the good old day's of freddy.

So much fun with red paint brush and purple Z block.

The always thought they could reach a pallet before falling asleep 😂

Used to had a nice strong solid build with him back in the days, was so much fun to see the survivors struggling against him, even though he was considered as the weakest killer back then

I do think the standing still mindgame is dumb, and so is getting grabbed off a gen because you can't hear her phasing when she starts it while you're in her terror radius. But like Freddy, her power level is completely overblown, especially when compared to Nurse. The difference in power between Spirit and Nurse is as big as the power difference between D tier and S tier killers. So again, I think y'all are focusing too much on the wrong killer.

If you're working on a gen while in hear TR and grabbed off of it, than that is entirely your fault.

You know that that is a possibility and you don't respect that.

The most easiest counter to that is the same as you do with every other killer, just get off of the gen and wait till you're certain she goes away

  • @th3 said:

I'd argue Windows is terrible, right when you need it the most it disables. A perk that helps much much more to make the killer have a hard time is deja vu.

Take the perk with open handed and you get an increase in the pallet and windows auras.

Make sure you look around when not in a chase and while you're in a chase remember where you saw pall and windows.

    Works perfectly

No i beleive you, buti dont think wraith is meccisarily that strong across all players.

Depands on how you play him.

Sure there are those swf deathsquads where you're gonna get a hard time.

But then again all killers will struggle against them, but even so i can still make their fun miserable during the match as wraith

  • 😂 Great minds think alike.

Had to check the name because i thought they cut out something from my message 😂

Think about it. Wraith is too predictable because he can be seen while uncloaking.

That is why you uncloack behind something.

Use line of sights when approaching a survivor instead of walking in a straith line to them.

Wraith is way stronger than you might think if you know how to play him.

I play him a lot and have a lot of fun with him, and this is all pre buff.

And if you don't believe me you can check it out on yt.

I'm like 99% sure it doesn't, or at least it's not supposed to.

Unless they changed it over the years, I can remember I saw it as a killer.

But that was a long time ago, as well as survivor I've not seen it since a very long time

    Yup they do too

Then if it's a team game, the game should reward you for acting like a team instead of the opposite, which a lot of times it does

You do get rewarded while being in a chase and people finish gens or when they destroy hexes.

Even when you get tunneled, you can still pip without doing gens yourself.

I've had games where i was tunnelled the entire match and died eventually and I still pipped.

Harder to depip? WHAT?!??!!?! A major problem the game has at the moment is boosted players in ranks they don’t belong. New rank reset has caused a lot of issues.... making it even more difficult to depip will only increase the problem. Let’s just have every player at rank 1 and then we delete ranks because it’s 100% useless then.

That is most likely the reason he's a rank 1 survivor.

Got others who were better at survivor than he was and he could hitchhike to rank 1.

Unfortunately for him, whenever he needs to show a little skill he fails and blames the killer for that.

Because whatever happens, it is always the killers fault 😂

It’s about time the devs do something about these absurdly unfun and toxic strategies. I played 6 games today so far and in every single one I have gotten face camped on first hook until I die except for one game where I got I hooked while being face camped and the killer proceeded to non stop tunnel me even when I stunned him 3 times during the chase. The even more frustrating part is in 3 of those games before I got face camped I was able to get 3 gens done and loop the killer for quite a bit but still de pipped because the killer decided to face camp me and apparently doing 3 gens and stalling the killer isn’t considered playing well by the devs. I really don’t understand why the devs have allowed this kind of behavior to continue for so long when it is the most complained about thing in the entire game. Something needs to be done or more people are going to quit playing the game.

When are you being face camped or hard tunnelled most of the times?

By the sound of it it's mostly when all gens are finished or when the gates are opened, to me that is a very justified tactic because he can secure a kill that way.

Is it fun when it happens?

Maybe not but it's part of the game.

If it's true what you say and you are a rank 3 killer (personally I doubt that), than you would understand that tactic and done it too.

Hey guys, this is a question for everyone, how do you deal with keys? Personally, I have gotten so tired of seeing them that I just dodge every lobby that I see that has a key in it. I don’t like matches ending so quickly just because they used an item, and I don’t like being forced to tunnel them out of the game. Is there a more efficient way to deal with this?

    https://youtu.be/CR9BJ1WFSyE

This is how I deal with keys

  • @Arbmos1998 said:

I mean to begin with we were able to a couple of months ago when Ruin + Undying was meta that actually allowed even the weaker killers to "Pressure Gens" but for some reason despite that being what survivors tell you to do they cried to have it nerfed (and it did)

let's be honest guys 3-4 minute matches are not fun and I can't see why they would be fun for anyone. No one wins, no one pips, the scores are insanely low (13k at best) and it just creates a really unfun experience. Killer being forced to tunnel camp which once again no one likes and theres just no gameplay to it you are better off as survivor just playing a cookie clicker or something as it's practically the exact same thing.

Remember when the devs spoke of that "Early Game Collapse" or something along those lines notice how theres been literally no mention of it for the past year? Early game can be really bad for killer we all know this. Taking time to set up, map size could be way too big so you travel to literally every gen and suddenly a gen pops.

Honestly ive said this before and ill say it again lets just take a breather on the whole "Nerf X Killer, Nerf X Killer thing" because lets face it guys if you know and understand this game no killer is OP right now they can barely compete in tournaments and the highest level.

I'd like to point out also that because of how quick and easy gen speed is that is why you personally are getting matched with so many boosted survivors who do not belong in Red ranks period. If you want what's best for the game and you want better teammates more has to be done to gens as they are just way too easy to finish over what the killer has to do. How can a killer get 12 hooks in 3-4 minutes?

Tbh I never understood why they nerfed undying.

I play both sides and always solo and never had any problems with ruin/undying, for me it made it more fun as survivor because of the gen speed.

Besides how hard is it to find totems?

They always spawn in standard spot so they are easily to find and cleanse.

And only in maybe 5 out of a 100 games you actually needed to cleanse 5 totems to get rid of ruin.

What I always found funny about the whole ruin/undying crying is that survivors were crying to have secondary objectives.

Devs introduced undying and suddenly they are crying that it is to "OP" because you need to cleanse totems 🤷‍♂️

I don't know if they want or they don't want secondary objectives, as undying was good for both sides.

Killer could actually pressure gens and get rewarded for it and survivor got a secondary objective and would also get rewarded for it.

If they wanted to change anything about undying, then only getting rid of the aura showing would have been more then enough.

Survivor Sided ? maybe you dont play solo Q , just try it and tell me if its survivor sided , in fact for swf yes it's survivor sided , you did not understood what i ve said

I play solo Q so I can definitely say it is survivor sided.

Whether you like it or not, unfortunately it is the truth, at least in red ranks that is.

  • Definitely need a chapter dedicated to it.

Unfortunately the devs are pretty arrogant about it and think they are good and smart enough to release a new chapter and do QOL at the same time.

Something they have shown on multiple occasions they are not capable of doing.

Things get worse almost every new chapter but needing the dedicate a full chapter to it?

They stay in denial and don't think it is needed.

  • @Tillablerhino44 said:

I play solo so there is no team I was shocked probably more so than you but it's something that needs addressed if your a tunneling camping red rank please depip yourself to yellow rank were I don't have to deal with you play fair without emotion your a serial killer if you get juked chase someone else instead of me because I will loop you for as long as I can and I run I run killlers that's my favorite thing to do and I challenge myself by trying to run a killer for gens my record is eight n a row last night I did 5 n one match and I enjoy being chased as long as gens are poppin I ant stopin

I play solo too, but what I meant with your team are your fellow survivors.

Besides you there are 3 others who can be randoms or friends, but that doesn't matter.

The point I was making is that the other 3 didn't play it smart and kept feeding bubba points while they should have rushed the gens and escape.

Yes I don't like to be face camped either but unfortunately it indeed still happens in red ranks.

As for tunneling, I can understand that some people don't like it, tho i enjoy it when the killer keeps going after me the entire match

  • @Tillablerhino44 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2043840#Comment_2043840

Lol are you kidding me I was face camped by a rank one bubba two nights ago rank one and he kept his rank one after face camping if you camp you should not be a red rank if you tunnel you should not be a red rank there should be extreme penalties for tunneling n camping maybe a two pip penalty keep these babies n yellow ranks were they belong if you don't get thirty thousand bp a match then why are you n red rank I don't get it

If that bubba kept his pip then something went terribly wrong for the survivors and very good for bubba, and I wonder what? 🤔

A face camper, especially a bubba, will depip IF the rest of the team is smart.

And it sounds like the team you were on, were not.

Cause if that bubba had a you on the hook and the rest of the team did gens and escaped, he would most definitely depip, no doubt about it.

Cause he didn't pressure gens, got 1 maybe 2 chases and only 1 hook.

Way to short to even black pip.

I think your team was a bit over altruistic and were trying to go for a safe, which is stupid cause it works only in like 0.0001 of the times you get away after unhook against a face camping bubba.

In all that time playing i got away once with a bit smarter play than bubba and bt,which was extremely lucky.

And only got 1 unhook done against a face camping bubba, and even got out.

But in both occasions it was purely luck and bad play from the bubba

  • Hahaha yup I know and that is exactly what I always call them.

But it's really annoying when they want to help but unintentionally screw you over
