Fired up isn't a obsession perk and there are strong obsession perks for killer.

Safe the best for less is pretty strong if you ask me on certain killers.

You gain stacks very fast and only lose 4 in total when you injure and down the obsession.

Also play with your food can be pretty strong with scratch mirror myers especially when combined with nemesis.

Dark devotion can be pretty strong after hitting your obsession.

Rancor can give you a idea where everyone is after a gen and mori your obsession (not a strong perk but it can be)

Remember me is reasonable strong during the end.

Dying light is also reasonable as the obsession only gets a boost from unhooking and healing.

Not all may be really strong, but used with the right er and they get really strong and if some are combined with another perk they also become really strong

But i agree with you on the last part.

Should the devs ever consider to permanently put in a obsession every match, then there should be also a downside for being the obsession.

I just realized I meant remember me not fired up. Got the freddy perks messed up but its its very killer specific if they want obsession perks like you said and there are really strong combos.

Well killer obsession perks are another matter. Killers don't tunnel themselves. I need the obsession to show up on the HUD which indirectly offers some protection to all survivors even if they don't take DS by making the killer unsure. I may not need DS - but I still need that 4th perk to do something useful for me on a regular basis, and right now DS is the only one that checks all the boxes.

So you want killers to play around one of the strongest perk in the game where they already don't know who's running it so they have to just be prepared to lose momentum every game because they shouldn't be able to punish bad plays and they would have to check for each player individually. Not only that but if a killer is chasing the obsession that's free information for your team SWF or not. Giving free information to either side is kind of broken.

NOED is somewhat similar but even if you don't do bones you still have to get hit after the gens are finished and then you can just find the totem. If anything I would enjoy if they put in as a survivor the remaining number to totems in the game as a balance to "how bout you do bones next time" or the killer has to go to a totem to activate it.

Bamboozle can be very predictable, but then again so can dead hard. Once you know someone has it, it's very easy to bait it. Plus, the time it actually doesn't work and the survivor just ends up exhausted on the floor.

Baiting dead hard is basically saying the survivor was gonna go down anyways because they are so far out of position. You can't bait dead hard at a loop or when they make a mistake that corrects it. This is what killers don't like about it. ITs not that it gets a lot of distance it gives you the distance you need when you need it. Its not like lithe or balanced landing where you need to have something available to proc it and hope you don't get hit while heading for the required area or can get to a safer area its literally "press e to outplay the outplay" or press e to reset the loop. Punishing killers for making good reads and correct plays by having dead hard procing when it needs to is bad design. It like saying a survivor stunned a killer at a pallet but they still got hit which is something I do want them to fix as a killer, this shouldn't happen.

  • Easy solution run an obsession perk it doesn't have to be DS. A killer will almost never use an obsession perk because they are bad on killers. A killer obsession perk other than fired up say you can't target this survivor or you will lose the strength of your perk. Kind of not what a killer wants when they need momentum. As a killer main personally the only way I would be ok with an obsession every game is that there is an inherent negative to being the obsession so killers get some benefit to a system that punishes them for existing.

Blood Pact - Sucks may as well not even have a perk.

Decisive Strike - Potentially useful every game and I got it from the Shrine.

For The People - Okay perk but I don't have it as I'm not paying shards for Zarina.

Mettle of Man - Sucks high hell now, practically have to throw the game to get it to activate.

Object of Obession - Killers cry about this one all the time almost as much as DS.

Sole Survivor - I run this until I get DS unlocked, but it still sucks. Depends on losing survivors to even activate.

Yeah great choices for other Obsession perks. This sarcasm by the way, they suck besides DS.

Think about the killer perks for obsession that all say don’t go for the obsession because you lose strength. Being the obsession is like one of the safest things to be since if a killer is running it unless they have rancor or remember me which both really don’t do mmh in the long run. If there was a direct negative effect to being the obsession maybe killers would be more okay with it.

  • Pray to the entity they are dumb enough to blame their misplace on killers being op and do every scummy thing in the book, tunnel off hook, camp responsibly, secure close gens, and don't be afraid to eat a ds or two. If you kill one or two everyone else will dc.

  • I would like it if EGC started at gets done but moves at like half speed of its current until the doors are open and the normal survivor down/hooked slows it more. This way the second chance perks most SWF use to secure their escape by 99ing the gate is removed but the normal player won't feel it.

Or possibly if the killer can activate a switch in the basement to start it. So he can use it for pressure but has to be away from guarding the doors.
