So BP you need to get prestige 3 level 1 is about 4,5M and BP you need to get all perks on one character is about 7,4M.
Problem is that to get perks on a killer you need level 40 on other killers, which is 1,25M. But to gain first tier you need prestige 1, which is 1,6M but it saves you and it will skip you 3 tiers on killer you want, which is let's say 100k.
To get all perks on single killer right now costs 41,3M (one killer other level 40) and with new system it will be either 126M (everyone prestige 3), or 48,6M (everyone prestige 1 + max perks on single killer)
If you want all perks on all killers new system will help, but not by 75%, not even close.
If you want all perks on single killer, it will cost you more than current system, unless you are going to change how blood web works -> total cost.
Also your 4.1 hours every day vs 1.01 every day means absolutely nothing. Important number is total number of hours needed.
This system is really good for veteran players There is a new killer? All perks in few hours.
But it just sucks for new players imo. It's same / slightly worse and they have to farm it without BBQ.
And I think new players are the ones who need help most. Most of my friends don't want to play this game, because of the grind and this is not going to help them.

Because people are not the same.
"So why do you complain about how loud they are?" - Because sounds they make are the same across all maps. Size (and cosmetics) is something that depends on the map. Being a Claudette is better on dark maps, but a great nerf on Ormond. Being Jeff is not so bad on the Saloon or some new maps with large bushes/trees but worse on mps like Autoheaven which have a lot of these half height loops (they are not high enough to hide behind as Jeff).
Or, as a certain little green guy with pointy ears said: "Size matters not."
This is very hard to balance, but sound can be balanced. And sound is very important in the game.
"People are not the same", but this is a game and this is just making a thing that is only negative.
It would make sense let's say someone is loud, but small etc. basically trade off, but it doesn't work like that.
Jeff is not good on any map, he is tall af, he is loudest thing in the universe, but I like to stare manicingly at others with white face Jeff. It was fine with Iron will, I am not stealthy players, so I don't care about size even tho it doesn't make any sense why they would do it this way for survivors. But sound just sucks.

They have different hitbox? seriously?
not hitbox (I hope so), but visually yes. Jeff is way higher than Feng for example and try to hdie with Jane behind a tree.
-
I will only my Mains -> Legion, Oni, Deathslinger, Wraith
Otherwise I will just max out my perks.

100% sound reduction is crazy, normalizing survivor volume is what really should be done.
Yeah, but they won't. So there are survivors who just need Iron Will, which is really bad with those changes.
We can also talk about sizes of survivors, why that is different I have no idea.

I am Jeff main, I am really sad with this.

So where are you getting survivor feedback from. I've yet to see any forums that isn't full of killer-players with a smattering of a few survivor players. This forum is killer sided, reddit is killer sided, steam is killer sided, where is the survivor heavy forums that you all are getting survivor perspectives on.
After this new developer update, I don't see anything that indicates the developers are listening to survivor players. This entire patch screws solo-queue. This is the 3rd patch in a row, where survivors have been screwed.
I hope the developers realize that this game is old and players are leaving this game because it's old.
I also hope the developers also realize that the gaming community as a whole are very obsessive about games being fair. This patch is designed to be unfair for survivor players. The developers have even stated this in the patch notes.
Killer players are tenacious, they have a lot more invested in the game, so large changes are going to affect that player base a lot less.
However, survivor-players are was less invested in this game. If the developer release something this unfair to survivor players and you are going to see them leave really quickly.
Are the developers just wanting survivor-players to quit in mass, because you release this extremely unfair and biased patch and survivor-players are just going to quit this game.
Someone has hero complex here.
Yeah, we all know how you are last survivor standing defending everyone.
Are you really complaining that killers play more, which is not really true anyway, when lot of them went on break.
Well, we will see when those matchmaking rewards for each role get live, that will be interesting to see.
-
@Mandy said:
All feedback is taken into consideration and all feedback is valid. There's no one person has a higher priority than other within our community that would be unfair - when we report feedback, we use a variety of sources including forums, socials etc.
You said same thing about Deathslinger and we know how that went...
-
Jeff main disagrees with this a lot.
Just exhaustion nerf would be enough as a trade for using it. If they also nerf % then it's useless.
Time for everyone to play Ace, who has Iron will basically default.
-
They didn't really help, mainly if you consider removing BBQ effect. It's going to suck for new players more than current version unless they are going to do something about bloodweb, which they didn't mention.
I made post where I calculated amount of BP needed and you are going to need actually more than current system, if you don't want to get perks on all killers, which most players don't and you have to do it without BBQ.
-
It's an improvement and perks with kicking effects are going to be more valid now.
I think that change is great. It will kinda help survivors too, because let's be honest, killers just never wasted time kicking gens unless they had pop and lot of killers will do it more than needed with those changes and I think slowdown options you are going to see will be way more interesting.

I'd prefer Bond, actually.
Kindred is a ...bit strong, due to the killer aura reading.
I do want solos to get some love though.
Most players would want survivor aura-reading. Those who want killer aura reading basekit are delusional, that will just never happen nor should.
Thing is that kindred (survivor) wouldn't really help SWF, we know who is going to unhook very easily.
Bond basekit would be way bigger deal even for SWF. That is information that most SWF groups don't know how to share.
Kindred would actually help overall soloQ more imo, because it would remove situation where multiple / none survivors are going to unhook.

Yea im bad at looping sorry lol i dont know why all the loopers are saying the same i guess? you'll see what this game turns into done conversating with someone who dosent see whats going on enjoy the game though i will be going to another.
if 10% is going to be such a big deal in your opinion, why is noone using Brutal Strength? That is double of what you are crying about and so far I have seen it only on Pig, Clown and walking Nurse.

Every survivor loops if you go down to in most games within 10 seconds or you dont know how to not throw down a pallet and run a are with combos you are not looping you are just spamming space while running.? That is a laugh no they dont. Look this changes the whole game to gen rush hold m1 meta for survivors you will see. I see where they are heading their game toward.
No, you are just super bad at theory crafting.
So far it looks like you don't know how to loop if you think this will ruin looping.
Windows are exactly same for example.
Nemesis, Blight, Demogorgon, Huntress, Trickster, Trapper, Hag, Hillbilly, Bubba, Deathslinger, Executioner, Twins, Artist, Cenobite, Nurse
Will not change much or get worse with perk nerfs.
Killer who will benefit from this:
Onryō, Oni, Ghost Face, Plague, Legion, Spirit, Clown, Pig, Doctor, Shape
The killer who will benefit most is Wraith.

Showing the killer aura would only be bad for facecampers, so I really don't get why they shouldnt show the aura too.
No, it wouldn't. You see where is killer going. You don't see how is that good?
It's not just facecampers, those don't care if you know about them or not.
My friend is using Kindred with Open-Handed and it's really strong. It's good idea to bring killer close while looping, because you just can't be mind gamed.

Just test out the ptb ull see looping is a thing of the past. Theres a reason survivors that loop are complaining its not just us crying its cause now the game is a whole diffrent game that we would like to play. Enjoy 30 min killer que times. Ive seen plenty of non m1 killers use bloodlust for an advantage.
Sure they use it around unsafe pallets, but it's not that effective. I rarely get past Bloodlust 1, but usually not even that. Bloodlust 1 is same.
Looping is not thing of the past, you are still going to loop killers. Many killers will change very little.
survivors that loop are complaining
Every survivors loop, it's the only fun thing about this game and so far you are crying most.
It's not whole different game, lot of killers will be exactly same or worse because of perk nerfs. Changes will buff mainly m1 killers, who needed it most, so changes for killers are great.
-
Kindred basekit -> survivor aura? yes.
Killer aura? hell no

10 % speed more blood lust 10% gen breaks and swings bro its not just percent on 1 thing.... How will he not? he can still hit you twice off the hook instantly.
No, he won't. That extra movement speed is enough for it.
He might be able to get it with addons, but definetly not basekit. I will test that on PTB.
10% gen breaks -> nice looping
Pallets, swings -> you can't loop Nemesis / Demo? They are already destroying pallets faster and recover faster. So that won't be an issue. Interesting is that they are going to have an option M1 vs M2.
Bloodlust? Again mainly M1 killers, offensive powers remove Bloodlust and you usually don't get past Bloodlust 1, which is same.

Ds was already nerfed to the ground the point is there is no more looping the only fun thing in this game is looping and chase now its just gens and .....unhooks i guess?
How so? Changes are helping mainly M1 killers, which is good thing.
You can't loop killers because of 10% speed? Git gud then
There are some issues for sure. Mainly Nurse and camping, but Bubba won't be able to kill both survivors, so that's good. So probably best camper is going to be a Trickster.

Bro i dont use perks lol.
Then what is your issue?
You don't get any distance now vs you are basically unhooked healthy.
Off the record buff is better than current DS.
-
@Tatt3dWon said:
Both perks suck now if he hits you with off the record your not going anywhere so you will just get hit right away again.
How that works?
You gain more distance than with DS. If this can't help you, then nothing can.
You just want to get carried by perks.
-
@[Deleted User] said:
The iron will nerf was heavily needed. With IW you make less noise when injured than when you're healthy which makes no sense.
Problem is noise difference between survivors, some survivors just need it. Talking as Jeff main.
Exhaustion effect is more than enough nerf. If they use also that % nerf, then Iron will is useless perk.
-
What are you talking about?
You got basekti changes which will help a lot, for example Bubba will not be able to kill both survivors during unhooking, which is great.
BT is way better. DS should stay 5 sec imo, but Off the record is great alternative.
Only thing missing and needed is more time per hook stage, which will be needed with more time per gen. like 10 sec per stage should do the trick imo.
-
Exactly same? Manage to loop killers better than casual survivors.
-
I think exhausted effect is good enough nerf, but they shouldn't nerf % imo. It's useless with that.
I am Jeff main, 25% is still louder than Ace without Iron will...
-
It's not useless, there are killers where it will be one of best perks like Blight, Oni etc.
It will just not be an auto-include because more BP.
-
@Aven_Fallen said:
Iron Will is dead. It is all or nothing, 75% is not worth the Perk Slot.
Just play Ace, he gets basically 75% iron will by default...
I really don't like this as a Jeff main. Exhaustion part would be enough as a nerf imo.

sorry I realize it was very unclear. I understand that you keep perks that you currently have on a character. So I have most of my characters at level 40 so that they are unlocked for other killers. What I’m worried about is that level 40 will mean nothing and not allow perks to be taught to other killers, since instead of getting to level 40, I have to prestige a character 3 times to get a tier 3 perk. I understand that the prestige will unlock it instantly for all characters, but now I will have to grind 3 prestige’s to unlock the perks of 1 killer to be used for other killers, instead of 40 levels. I wouldn’t be opposed to the system if I got to keep the teachables I have unlocked still be unlocked for future killers after the switch to the new system. But the devs make it sound like that unless you prestige a character, you will teachables for that character locked again and can not be learned for other characters.
You will be able to find perks as right now in bloodweb.
It will just better to get prestige, so you don't have to farm on new characters. At least get prestige on important killers (perks), like bubba, clown etc. but that will change with mass rework.
-
No, there is so many pallets... That's probably the map I hate most with Wraith.

As I have the same issue as the OP, I'm waiting for the bots to start learning Killer... Bots won't be as good as real players but at least, it's a good way to discover a Killer's power and being used of it.
They will be good enough for Nurse / Blight, where it's more about how to use their power on different maps / loops.
I was training Blight by stomping survivors with best perks / addons, then left last two alive and went to train how to use his power around loops, changing DPI etc..
-
@Mazoobi said:
They did say that we are able to prestige over level 3 now, but my only concern is... what will be the benefit in doing so? All of my survivors are maxed out already so what will I get in return by spending more BP on them?
I hope they make the new prestige mechanic meaningful.
you won't have to farm on new survivors / killers, because they will gain perks from your prestige characters, which is not bad imo. I will definetly do it on my mains and core killers for perks like Bubba etc. that will most likely change with mass reworks tho
It's not like there will be reason not to do it, when you don't lose anything.

I consistently get 3k and 4k as trapper, but, red addons needed. Or a very stupid SWF team.
Ok, if I use Iridescent Stone every game, I will have good results too with Trapper, but I really don't count that as a standard for a killer. When I evaluate a killer, I usually think more about brown / yellow addons. That is something I can use a lot.
Yeah, Myers with best addons is also decent, but I just can't consider that a standard.

This reminds me, some days after Dredge was released I saw a guy claim he was a C/D tier killer. He elaborated later and said he was on a 30 game win-streak (so 30 games of 4k in a row with Dredge) when he went up against a 4man swf and got demolished. So he claimed Dredge isn't balanced because he can't 4k a coordinated team at high MMR.
I have full sympathy for the issues faced by a lot killers in games, but I worry sometimes that killer mains like the aforementioned guy can skew feedback in a detrimental way. If killers were balanced around 4k'ing 4man coordinated swfs at high MMR then new and solo players would stand no chance.
I don't really wanna have secured 4k each game (that would be boring), but I would like to have at least a chance with any killer. Right now you have killers, where I just know there is no way I can win against decent team and they don't even have to be full SWF.
It's not about winning / losing for me, it's about how I lose / win. I usually main Oni and I usually get 4k, but then there is that 1 in 10 game where everyone drops pallets asap and I get first hook when there are 1-2 gens, which just sucks. (Oni is fine killer tho)
but same can be said when there isn't any pressure at all and I just casually kill everyone at 5 gens, it's boring.
Lot of players hoped MMR would fix this, but that failed hard.

The thing is that most solo survivors aren't just in there to do their gens, loop the killer a bit and then leave someone on hook to die while they leave. They are still streaming to entertain people. As DaddyMyers explained, there are those streamers with very good escape rates, but a "just leave" streamer, how could probably pull this off, wouldn't be the most exciting to watch, as daring escapes are the most fun part of survivor gameplay. Holding M1 (or letting the system do so) isn't.
And same rules as with killers apply here: you probably need lots of attempts, some luck and play the killer equivalent of being ruthless, ie just leave once the exit gates are powered, then I see no problem in someone doing this kinds of 50+ winstreaks. But this is the absolute upper crust of skill and performance in this game, this proves nothing for us regular joes and jills.
I love to watch Ayrun, but it's true that he makes it more like a highlight than gameplay, so that's probably why.

DMS is good because it's an alternative and it doesn't synergize with other meta perks like pop or ruin.

yeah, you have to be lined up exactly right and in the line of sight of the killer to be able to hide behind a generator so it’s basically useless way to hide. If the aura reading was removed, for fewer killers would run the perk, likewise if the double bp was removed many killers would still run it so it’s obvious the aura reading is important. We all know why you run bbq- it’s for aura reading and the double bp is the cherry on top. Stop saying otherwise, we don’t buy it.
I don't care if you buy it or not. You just don't know what you are talking about, simple as that.
Truth is that only killers where I would run BBQ without extra BP are Hillbilly, Oni, Blight, Artist, Dredge
For every other killer I have better perks.
You have killers where you don't need any info perk like Doctor, Legion, Trapper, Hag.
For Doctor or Pig Whispers is way better than BBQ.
If you want info perk you can use Tinkerer, Floods of Rage, Retribution(hex build)
Floods of Rage is super good if you also use Pain Resonance. BBQ is just not best info perk most killers can use, but everyone is using it over other info perks, because of extra BP.
Edit: For example Otz on his optimal generic builds have BBQ on 9 killers out of 28.

Yet you can watch streamers go on a 50+ winstreak with pig. Actually ANY killer going on a 50+ winstreak highlights how horrible the balance in this game is. It's hideously skewed towards the killer. Only a 4 stack SWF with all meta perks and full items AND voice comms can compete with a killer running the best characters and builds. Solo Q just lose by default to any sweaty killer with a brain.
How can I go play killer, camp/tunnel starting at 5 gens and literally not lose a single game all night and then come here to these forums where people are crying about genrushing lmao
and you can watch streamers to get high streak too as survivors, your point?
Ayrun has something like 30 as soloQ. Lose by default right?
SWF escape record is in hundreds and they didn't lose, they just gave up.

Killers never were able to see them. I think they should tho.
It's usually only for worse when they don't see them. I have tunneled a lot of players by accident just because I am too lazy to remember who I hooked. If I want to tunnel, I do it by name anyway.
-
farming, I got reported for it many times.
Allowing snitching is not really welcomed too, but I like it. Snitches get hatches.
-
SB is overall way better, but it's way harder to use. Overcome is useless against lots of killers.
I am going to play with Lithe or without any exhaustion perk.

Gen rushing is a made up term. If the killer is downing people in a reasonable timeframe and has a gen perk or two they are always going to have the potential for at least 2 kills. If you have 3+ slowdown perks then it's just them playing poorly. Killers who rage they can't 3-4k every game are just entitled imo.
Meh, it depends on your killer too. But you can't really expect good results with killers like Trapper / Pig. Those are just for fun thing.

You know that killers can still see the aura- right? Besides that’s not the point of my post. Every killer swears they only use bbq for the bp and that only a few killers can make use of the auras, which is blatantly false. 5 seconds after someone is hooked, killer is on me or someone else in nearly every game (25% don’t run bbq). So obviously aura reading is something that is extremely helpful for killers of all shapes and not just 2 or 3.
You know that killers can still see the aura- right?
no, they can't if you do it right.
which is blatantly false
oh right, because you know why we use perks better than us, makes sense. For most killers there are just more optimal perks to use than BBQ even for just info perks -> but some killers just don't need info perks. BBQ is used mainly for extra BP on most killers. You can think whatever you want, but you are just wrong. We use that perk, we know why we do it.
Sure, even if you remove aura reading completely, I am going to use that perk whenever I need to farm BP. But you can bet there will be lot of ######### storm, as always for pointless nerfs.
Edit: If you would want to make it work only per unique survivor, you would have to remove range limitation. Just compare it with Bitter Murmur.
-
Not this again.
There are only 4 slots. There is no way to fix things with perks.
-
I don't mind SB nearly as much. That is something I see from start of the chase, I can choose to commit or not from the beginning.
DH can be used in middle of chase and if you drop that chase you wasted a lot of time.
SB is also really good perk, but it's also way harder to use. Mainly because DH is super easy to use. I am sure overcome and Lithe will find some use, because they are also simple to use.
