Well, we are going to have to wait few years before we get anything -> look at Billy / Twins / Freddy. They just don't care.
Sad is that lot of killers could be fixed with just number changes.
My main issue with Deathslinger is his ADS mechanic, it's just terrible to use. Why do you have reduced FOV and turning rate? Just make it same like Hunterss / Trickster...

I think I made pretty clear that when it comes to only solo matches she's just uncounterable, specially with bespoke build. My point here is that when you play against her is not Dead by Daylight, but a "Nurse's game", cause she can completely ignore basic mechanics of the game.
And for your argument, that fits another discussion. Trust me, I know how miserable it's to face a decent 4 men squad.
That's not just Nurse thing. I can get effect like that on other killers where you basically need competitive level SWF.
But I can create same with survivors (SWF) -> soloQ is just #########.
Nuclear options were always an issue, so again it's not just Nurse thing.

It's even more sad that they are going to remove flying billy. I loved those.

Dc or suicide?
Yeah that's why i hate to face with her. Because always someone dc's or suicides against her. And game is turning hell mod for survivors.
That seems like an issue is with survivors who DC.
Well, it's overall issue that you are basically screwed if you get early DC in your team.
Maybe one day we will get AI replacement, they don't need to be good, just meat shield for other players.
-
Well, I can introduce to you an argument: Should a killer really be that weak against SWF? (not Nurse ofc)
Problem is not really a Nurse, but rather difference between SWF and SoloQ experience. It's impossible to balance for both atm.
-
Funny is that on question: who has worse perks, I would say survivors too.
-
uuu, option to torture one survivor for longer duration. That will feel nice, I would need to have a book ready next to me at all times.
I will rather just die by timer and play next game...
I bet that if you would pause the timer you will have lot of survivors just killing themself asap. They are doing it already...

Running reworked Ammo Belt with the basekit buff would be the same as running current Warden's Keys and Ammo Belt, but instead you can run a second add-on as well. Not that much stronger since that's pretty much what you're vs'ing if you're playing against current Slinger. A lot of killers have strong brown add-ons that are more or less intended for you to run most games, so I think it's fine to have an auto-pick add-on.
Wanted Poster pretty much just gives you enough time to reload and take a last second shot. Very strong, but not game breaking. Especially since it's on chain breaks, and not M1s.

Yeah, the sens reduction is so extreme that you can't really do flicks or anything, you can only really track. I really want 24m TR or 4.6m/s, Slinger's low range makes it really quite hard to approach survivors. You have to be smart about the angles you come from or they can get a lot of distance very quickly.

ty 🙂
I don't think they would just give him 4,6m/s. I think it would be fine tho and it would make sense when he is normal TR.
They could at least give him 4,6m/s while he is not reloaded, that would be interesting.

It'd be better if it was swapped around. You could take someone else's hook state if you had a free stage.
I actually understood it this way from start. It makes way more sense.
You should be the one to make a sacrifice for your friend, not steal from others...

He will most likely stay as second best, but he will become more map dependant.
Basically Spirit got nerfed more, that's why he will stay second.
-
I like those basekit changes. TR nerf was bad idea, but they are not going to lower it back.
Main thing I would like to see is not lowering sensitivity / turning speed while ADS. His ADS mechanic is just terrible. I would remove also FOV reduction, I don't think there is need for it with his limited range.

Honestly, if we do see baseline changes that address the problems of gen rush, camping and tunneling, than I wouldn't expect the changes to be perfetct right from the get go. One side might get the better end of the stick than the other. Or the changes won't do enough.
But it would show that the devs are willing to address these problems finally, and we could see more changes to the baseline of the game in future patches as well. That's at least my hope. It's all about understanding the problems of this game and starting to address them, in my opinion.
It would be normally fine for any game, when you create something broken / unbalanced.
Problem is their speed of fixing things. CoH took them like 5 months? DH feedback 3 months? (not sure about duration, but way longer than should).
If you make big update, you need to have several updates after it with fixes (just numbers / bugs mostly). If you don't, then the affected group will just stop playing again.
There is a hope, because they fixed Boil Over quite fast, so let's hope they will follow that.

Very true.
I wouldn't mind solo queue if I got teammates around my skill, but most survivors I pair up with play as if it's their first game. I always end up being the last survivor remaining in the trial.
The fact that you always end up being the last survivor can also mean you are a bad teammate...
can't tell for sure without watching the game tho

The reason a lot of the meta perks get used, aside from their strength, is to fix certain problems and frustrations many people have with this game. Those issues being fast gens, and as you already pointed out, skillless and unfun strategies like camping and tunneling.
So those problems need to be addressed with basekit changes.
But it sounds like we are getting these changes finally, with the upcoming huge perk update.
I really doubt they will make it well -> balanced for both sides.
and mainly to do something like this you would need way more updates, or actually use PTB for testing not just preview.
-
There is simple tip that will make him easy win -> if you crouch then he can't hit you over windows, or any loop.
His hitbox is super small, so spinning works quite well and he is losing quite a lot of distance for missed hits.
Do you understand that all of those you said work for PH, but he can do it better?
-
I don't think DH can be nerfed in balanced way -> fair, but still valid.
They would be better to go with complete rework.

Yeah but compared to dh, noed is 100x more counterable.
I think DH is way stronger for sure.
Just wanted to make a comparison about undeserved feeling both sides can have while encountering some perks, which I don't think is a good thing to have.
-
You can't just nerf all meta perks. That would result in ######### show.
BHVR kinda screwed that instead of fixing the game, they made perks that fixed it for them.
At this point, you can't just remove gen regression perks, BT, UB, DS etc. Games would be terrible for both sides.
-
Oh, right. Let's nerf Twins more...

I think it is something that can bring lot of players -> including me, back into dbd. Just to see how it will look and test new stuff.
Problem is that there is super low chance they will balance it right for both sides. Most likely it will be survivor / killer sided. Doesn't matter which.
Problem is that they have to change base game mechanics along with it. You can't just nerf all gen regression perks, BT, UB, DS etc. that would be really bad for both sides.
I am pessimistic just based on their past updates, some changes didn't make sense at all and feedback was pointless.

Contrary to popular belief, NOED rewards good Killer play.
If a Killer plays well, but not well enough to sacrifice all 4 Survivors before the Exit Gates are powered, then Survivors won't have time to cleanse Totems, meaning NOED will activate.
If a Killer plays badly, Survivors will have time to cleanse all Totems and deny NOED from even activating
I would say it punishes lazy survivors instead.
I always use Detective's Hunch -> it's an amazing perk for NOED hunters.
-
NOED can give you extra kill on most killers, it can be more if you have other perks to help with it and correct killer.
Survivors then feel like that kill was undeserved. It's same as when killers hate DH, it's just easy way to make chase longer which makes it feel undeserved.
Only thing that might be fine to change about NOED is to show survivors they are exposed when all gens are finished -> it's not that big suprise.

those would be indeed cheating but they are actually whitelisted in the eula, case which isn't for these scripts
this is not done by script really, you just have a button on your mouse that increase your DPI as long you hold it. Basically same princip as any other button.
You are acting like it's complex macro that is doing all work, but that's just not true. That person just increased his DPI to maximum so he doesn't have to move with his hand that much (I can do it even with lower DPI, but it's too much work). Then the trick is about camera angle.
-
I don't really care about how much it filter, just let me turn it off completely.
When I can survive their abuse during the game, I can do it in post game chat too.

Who could have thought that nerfing an already weak killer and giving nothing to compensate would be a bad idea right?
They did give him some buffs, but I think they failed to fix main issue and nerfed him more than their buffs could save.
Their change made it more boring for both sides imo -> lot of fake shots. Survivors don't care because noone plays Deathslinger anymore.
-
Deathslinger is not worst killer in the game, but I would consider him the worst ranged killer.
After all those nerfs he has only two things going for him compare to other ranged killers -> STBFL and mending. Where mending is not the usefull, because he is 110% killer, so switching targets is limited.
Problem is that they nerfed the main reason why most players played him -> quickscope. We were able to use skill from FPS games with this killer.
If you are Deathslinger who used to fake shots, then he is pretty much same. Thing is that you have to fake your shots now, because every potato can react to it. So you need to find out how that survivor is going to react -> hold W / dodge. But I find that super boring.
Otherwise he has limited range, can't down over far windows / most dropped pallets (unless they are super unsafe), small hitbox, possible to deny down, slow time to down (unless start with M1), normal TR (not that big issue imo), punished for missed shots a lot.
Small hitbox used to be an advantage because you could shoot through small gaps, but that got way harder with slower ADS and survivors hear / see that you are trying to do it.
Another issue (unless they fixed it already) is his smaller FOV and sensitivity during ADS, it is just so painfull to use for me (used to FPS games). It is possible to fix it with a macro, but that is not something most players can do.

he makes turning all the way looking to the back and not a 90º degrees chsnge yet again I dont care about this my complain is the app doing it automatically for him.
Point to highlight the 3.4.1 patch on pc applied a 90º cap because console couldn’t get to the same level change which devs considered more fair to keep
This is not cheating.
This third party software doesn't alter the game / game files.
If your definition is just third party app then discord is cheating. Also nvidia filters, keyboard / mouse apps in general.
I am free to alter my equipment as much as I want, don't be jealous just because console can't do it.
-
it's possible to create it from data they have.
You would just gather pickrate / winrate for perks you use and add it to your MMR.
but MMR is flawed system anyway, so it doesn't matter.
-
I wouldn't use it on every m1 killer, but if you have a killer that can play around obsession (Nemesis, Deathslinger, Demo etc.) then it is really good perk.
-
Those weren't 180.
180 is possible but it's mostly useless thing and almost impossible to use in normal game, because if you go for it then you can end up turning more than you need it. It's hard af to do.
I can get all of those with normal 1600 DPI. I don't know about console tho, but that seems like a console issue again.

It might be more interesting just to buff tier 3 a lot so it's worth it.
It would be nice to make it easier to get from tier 1 tho.
-
I am not sure I would like 1)
infinite myers from one survivor, yay...
EDIT: 2) what is point of t2?
3) might work, but I think 8 is just too little for this and even more if you use M&A.
-
Hatch escapes are super easy with Clairvoyance.
Otherwise you need to have this to end the game.
What would happen otherwise? Hide and seek for an hour with last survivor?
Gates are RNG and depends on map / killer, but it's often possible to get escape if you play it well.
-
They tried version of this and it failed.
It's just not always killer's fault for being there. Sometimes survivors bring him there, which is just a bad play from them, why reward it?

Either the Survivor can search the four closest boxes and gives the Pig a smaller area to find the Survivor in, or the Survivor can avoid that to stay away from the Pig and wastes the time they could have saved with the shorter walk distance. They can't have it both ways.
Meanwhile, said Survivor now has a 40% chance of needing to search four boxes vs. 25% chance previously, and if the Pig can catch the Survivor after they have failed three searches, that Survivor is likely finished anyways even if the Pig can't just hover around the last box like before. I won't say that the shorter travel distance means absolutely nothing, but I would confidently call this a net buff.
the Survivor can avoid that to stay away from the Pig and wastes the time they could have saved with the shorter walk distance.
alternative is having to deal with Pig patroling your last box and dying to it.
There used to be an issue with some big maps that unless you started to search boxes asap you didn't have time to search all 4, that is not an issue anymore.
You are just less likely to kill with your power and if you want to kill with it, it's harder to do.

Pharmacy is better because medkit -> flashlight.
Residue manifest might be used more, because it is more interesting perk.

Slugging isn´t hooking. So i don´t see the issue here. Even when he slugs all 4 at the start of the match. It wouldn´t be any different from just balancing around kills.
But slugging is valid and one of the best ways to win as a killer right now. Twins and Oni are really bad without it.
They would appear to be weak if you balanced only around hooks.
I would want to see 4 stats for each killer tho. Killrate, hooks, winrate, pickrate

Yeah its the dilemma. When they make a fun killer, everyone plays him and then everyone complains about him (see Legion in the past weeks).
When they make a strong but hard to learn killer, also everyone complains, because they had 1 match against a good nurse and got stomped.
All killers should be at least B-Tier. So people don´t instantly lose, just because they play a certain killer. On top of that, the devs shouldn´t just balance around kills and instead go for hooks.
A bubba with 4 hooks during the whole match, could turn those into a 4k. Which would be considered stronger than a Spirit who got 8 hooks but no kills.
That will never happen. There will always be S-D list with some killers in them. All you can is make it so difference between S and D is not that big.
Hooks are also not best. Some killers just are way better at slugging -> Oni
