We already had many nerfs that just made killer feel like ######### to play -> Deathslinger, Billy, Twins.
We don't need more of those...
-
I would definetly want to keep Nurse around. There need to be at least some feared killers.
Only possible changes I saw:
nerf long range addons -> they are really broken on some maps like Saloon.
Maybe make her blink special attack? Problem is that it's her only attack mostly, so that would nerf her hard and makes lot of perks useless. Blight has it as special attack, but blight also can play as m1 killer if needed.

Survivors: God nurses are real and have to be seriously balanced for
Also survivors: Good SWFs are too rare to even consider, we can't touch anything survivor side until solos have a 15% higher escape rate minimum
True, but killers do same thing...
I wouldn't change Nurse. Let her be broken with insane skill cap. I also wouldn't change SWF, dbd needs players and SWF are good for it.
-
How was she nerfed?

This is so untrue. I get screwed by bbq nearly every match. Every killer can make use of the aura reading. The BP is the cherry on top. This one gets a nerf. I’d like to see aura reading only kick in for each unique survivor hooked.
You know that you can hide behind a gen from it, right?
-
Just kill em all, then you are less likely to have any regrets.
I am always less annoyed if I kill a nice players than when I let a moron escape.

Removing SWF is not a good solution to the imbalance between solo and SWF.
I mean, if you completely remove one side you don't have to balance it...
but it's just really bad idea for game overall, they need players and SWF are good for that.
-
I think it's also because you have lots of players coming back just for that event -> including myself.
We just don't care about their fun. We got back to play and farm BP. My job is to make sure I get enough BP to make it worth my time. Both sides play like this, that's why it seems like MMR on steroids.

I am 100% doubting BBQ is getting buffed. They specifically labeled it as meta in the anniversary stream.
You have only few killers that play BBQ for being good -> Huntress / Blight or other fast killers, but even on them there are perks that works more or less same.
Most players just want BP even tho it's not an optimal perk for their killer.
-
imagine if good killer decides to use NOED, then you get from 0 -> 1/2k into 2-> 3/4k.
I think if you show survivors exposed status when last gens is finished, it would be fine.
Problem is when there is a survivor downed before last gen is finished and killer is comping while you have no idea NOED is active.
I don't use NOED so I don't really care. It would be better to just rework it. Kill rates would be more accurate with it.
-
Deathslinger has screwed leg and you want him to slide? That doesn't fit his theme at all...
Yes, we know you like attack on titan, but he is just not good for it.
I want laser sight tho... that would work for sure :D
-
I am going to do it during anniversary when everyone is going to spam cakes.
-
Use detective's hunch if you are not able to find totems... is that hard? After few hundred of games you won't need it.
I guess complaining is easier.
-
why does survivors have to basically "pay" to use a perk
Oh, because it's just survivors, not basically the only way how to fix everything by BHVR.
-
It does exist, but it's overused. Same as tunneling / camping -> people call it even tho other side didn't do it.
-
It would be OP, but it would also be great for speedruns.
-
Twins, PH, Deathslinger
They just got nerfs that make them sluggish, because animation wasn't changed, just slowed. (different for Twins)
-
Nope...
Dead Hard is best exhaustion perk and at the same time easiest to use, how is that good design?
-
Killer that isn’t totally lame to play against
What do you consider not lame?
-
Slugging festival can begin.
then just let all of them bleed out.
-
Why are people still saying those ideas?
It would be really dumb for the game. They don't want to lose more players.
and I am sure that punishing players for playing with friends (possibly bringing new players) would be bad.
-
How dare you....

Great idea, they just added the ability to swap loadouts; so why not lock both sides.
You can change perks with loadouts.
I would want see locked only items / characters. Those are things I choose my build based on.

I play both sides and have recently switched fully to killer. BHVR genuinely is out of touch with the survivor side.
Think about it, they haven't updated survivor game play since the game has come out, it's the exact same as the first day of the game. Nothing new.
And look at survivor meta perks. The only new meta perk in 4 years (Again that is 4 years), was Circle-of-Healing and it's been nerfed 4 times.
Face-camping and tunneling-off-hook-till-dead, both catastrophic game-design flaws, have existed since the games inceptions. Still here.
And come on, Face-Camping Bubba. How can you justify that in a game.
This isn't, hey, make survivor OP. This is players genuinely wanting unfun, toxic elements that completely prevent players from playing the game, fixed.
from what I know killers would like to change survivors gameplay too... You can actually change your gameplay with perks tho.

Before I became a mostly killer main, I was a mostly survivor main and before that I was a pure killer main. Survivor game play is trash at all MMRs, Killer game play is actually fun depending on where you position yourself in MMR.
So just because you insure your gameplay as killer is horrible, doesn't mean everyone does. There's no where in Survivor gameplay that isn't miserable.
I wouldn't say it's trash overall. That would mean it's hard / bad for them, which is true for soloQ for sure. I have played only SWF, so survivor side seems easy and boring to me instead.
I don't mind tunneling, that means I get to have chase, which is most fun thing.
Camping is not really an issue for us neither, everyone in our group use BT and we just trade hooks if needed.
That is not possible for soloQ of course.
-
Yeah, I have killed lot of survivors by accident, because of this. Mainly if I was playing hit and run, or lot of slugging.
Same characters / skins are also not helping with this.

I would actually say the effort is about the same. I went 40 games straight of just face-camping with Bubba just to prove that being able to face-camp is rewarding. I got above a 3.0 kill rate.
This really tells me how out-of-touch with the survivor community that developers are, that they continue to defend this playstyle. (Since you represent the developers, I assume this is how the developers feel).
It's a completely miserable experience for survivors and the developers aren't able to see this as a problem. How did the developers get so out-of-touch with 4/5s of the player base? It's disturbing.
It's funny how both sides are saying that developers are out of touch with their side and other side has it better.
-
That's not good idea imo.
High MMR is enough pain already. Do you really think I am going to take Pig if I see SWF in lobby? Blight / Nurse everygame.
I would rather to see them lock survivors too, so they are not doing last second changes.

That's one thing using LP will show you. More than where they are its shows you the complete BS of survivor spawn locations. Half the time its 2 and 2 with each pair right on top of a generator or 3 and 1 with same thing, and like you said, sometimes they are all spread out but still close to a generator each.
With CI the furthest three generators may be blocked, but that doesn't always work in your favor, you still have to find the survivors, and if they don't have a generator to work on they'll cleanse or boon totems or stealth around and hide.
Yeah, CI is kinda random. I had many games as a survivor where I found out there was CI in endgame chat.
LP is good on killers with mobility. It's kinda wasted on normal / slow killers.
-
You don't like free Left For Dead achievement?
-
@Viskod said:
With Lethal Pursuer I can routinely get a hook before the first generator is done. Depends on the map and the type of survivors if I can snowball into more before the first one is finished, but with LP's information you can start your first chase in the direction of the other survivors and if you're lucky the person you start chasing will run right into them forcing them off the generator they are on.
But on some of the larger maps if you can't heard that first survivor into the others with that opening chase, even if you hook them before one is complete, you're not going to have the time to even reach the next survivor before a generator is done.
Yeah, I don't think gen speed is that big issue -> before meta rework. I think spawns rng is worse.
If you have survivors spawned on different gen each, you are screwed...
-
Well, that was fast...

If you want to play a game that is more than 4 mins, which most of mine are, just play legion with thana, dying light, ruin and some other slowdown.
I will rather not. If there will be enough players doing version of forever freddy, then Legion might get same treatment as him. RIP Freddy
-
It's not that bad atm, but it looks like they are going to nerf / rework meta perks -> gen regression perks including. Then it will be a problem.
Same can be same for survivors if they lose BT / UB etc.
-
Saloon is my favorite map as survivor and killer too...
But you really don't want to face Nurse with range addons there.

the better question is why they changed Ghostface's music back from the train to the broken printer
wait, really?
Printer is/was so annoying. I like train way more.

I think it's better than if you would go for unlocked lockers first. The other lock would be literally useless. That would be just weird imo.
Only way to fix this would be to let you choose, but that would mess up teleporting overall -> too many targets.
EDIT: how it works when none are locked?
-
No, Turkey is played in completely different way than Hag. He is not some "better" version.
She is fine.
-
It's some time since I have seen post that would need "git gud" that much...
Just learn to crouch, it's not hard... He can't hit you over windows / loops if you crouch. I still think it's a bug tho.
-
I would throw my team for WGLF stacks anyway, challenge is just a bonus.
-
It's good for Huntress. It's fine for Trickster.

Yes

When killers get buffed, it's almost always microscopic things or stuff that doesn't actually do anything to fix the core problems they suffer from (see: Trapper, Ghostface, Clown, etc).
When killers get nerfed, they get gutted through and through (see: Freddy, Deathslinger, Hillbilly, etc)
It usually takes several waves of buffs to get bad killers to be decent, as we're seeing with Sadako. She's awful, so here's a few buffs that don't do the job. Good luck next time! And if the buff DOES improve the killer, don't worry because there's a nerf hot on its heels (oh hello Wraith, were people enjoying playing you? Not any more!)
And amending the over-reaching nerfs? Good friggin luck. Nobody wanted or needed the Hillbilly Overheat mechanic, but rather than admitting they were wrong, they made ADDONS to effectively remove the mechanic. You know. Instead of just fixing the terrible issue that your terrible design/balance team created, throwing a band-aid that makes killers weaker just to solve a bad design decision. Like with Boon totems and the "fix" of a terrible perk to try to balance them.
Anyway, Deathslinger is 4.4 because nobody on BHVR thinks they're going to get any more money from that expansion. So, just nerf it to oblivion and never look back.
It's sad what is his current state, that anniversary skin looks so good...

Twins are a slugger by nature, it's just how it is. Your buff idea will also further strengthen the people who (rightfully) use this killer as a slugging machine.
That's not true.
It helps only when you want to swtich to Charlotte. If you want to slug which is most optimal way for them right now, you stay as Victor and go for next hit, because you either get extra down or you get hit on healthy survivor and skip fatigue that way.

The dev stats on how many people use it as of about a month ago are in the reply above. It’s around 10-12% of survivors depending on the MMR bracket (never more than 12%) So about 1/8, which means every other match or so one of the four people has it.
Well, that is after nerfs so it seems right, isn't it?
I wonder what % after like 2-3 months after release. It didn't get any nerf and people learned how good it is.
I don't think it got over 30% just because there is no point in stacking it more than 2 per team, but it was rare at least for me to see a game without CoH. That perk was just easy mode imo.

Twins don't need anything.
It's painful to play them, of course they do.
Just let them switch during fatigue, so you don't get DS effect each time you down someone and want to hook them.
It would actually help both sides, because Twins would be less likely to slug with this change.

Different things matter more. I'm less concerned by the tilesets and more concerned by absolutely brutal corn, missized rocks cutting my blinks from 20 meters to 5 meters, clipping like on learys and Midwhich where exit gates are unapproachable from certain angles.
All of these things have cost me kills and games and I do not think quantifying the impact is important. I do think it's important not to dismiss the impact, nurse absolutely cares about the map she gets.
I agree that corn is hell, but that's true for most killers except m1 I guess.

I never said it wasn't. I was correcting the original poster saying that "75% of survivors run the perk" which isn't true.
Most likely old data (his experience), but before nerfs I would say it was like that.
I don't know how many players keep using it. I have stopped spamming it with my SWF group even before nerf, but for different reason.

Need to push back against this: You can watch Nurse streamers (All the way up to Supaalf) who regularly display shock at their blinks getting swallowed up for no good reason. Map absolutely matters to Nurse:
- RPD
- Leary's
- Ormond (Size)
- Mothers Dwelling (Size + Infinite Tree LOS)
- ANY MAP WITH CORN
The list goes on, and Nurses definitely have to think about how they play depending on the map. Again, all the way up to the higher echelons of play.
Do you think it matters to her same / more compare to other killers?
I would say less...
Blight might be there, but not without hug tech.
-
@sergiofvs said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2985431#Comment_2985431
Sorry, but I don't think other killers have that same effect. Even a great Blight or Spirit can't easily get 4 survivors slugged like she can.
Well, Blight doesn't need to slug to get 4k. He will get worse without hugtech tho, more map dependant.
It's true that Nurse (good enough) doesn't care about map that much. Most killers even with best perks / addons still need a decent map at least.

I think you’re over estimating how many survivors have Circle of Healing in their loadouts. The dev stats they released a month or two ago show only 10-16% of survivors have it in their loadouts (it’s the dark green band in the chart below.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/HDVETP5KMCX1/image.jpeg
It’s still relatively speaking a popular perk, of course, but it’s unusual for multiple people to run Circle of Healing in the same match let alone it be used by 3/4 of survivor players. At 16% of loadouts though it would appear in roughly 1/2 the matches since about 1/8 survivors use it.
Dead Hard is a totally different story obviously, it’s far and away the most used survivor perk in up to 75% of loadouts among high skill survivors. So that one you literally do see almost every match and often on multiple survivors.
You know that one per team is enough, right?
I don't think CoH is as bad as it used to be tho. I might still be playing actively if they released it like this and not waited 5 months to change it.
