I would love to see a medieval killer, either a Knight or a Plague Doctor. I think it would be really cool.
That or any one of my concepts (with live links in bold):
Pen and Sword (Medieval Knight killer)
Can't Fix the Broken (Modern killer)
The Arrival (Slenderman chapter)
Welcoming the Rapture (Robotic-Angelic killer)
I had a pirate chapter, but the harpoon device was basically used in Deathslinger so... That one is gonna have to retire, I suppose...
I love them these are great, I would like to hear more from this in the future

You know for the ww2 theme they could actually do that this year since this year is the 75th anniversarry of the end of WW2. I do like the zoo park idea though.

Thats what angers me. In the video for "meet the legion" he was acting as a survivor, and when that happend, i was excpecting him to be able to act like a survivor and be a killer of trickery, to shake up the meta, y'know? but noooo, we get this cheap feral frenzy #########. i will say dev team. Be careful how you make your meet ect vids, thats all.
Yeah they should've done that. but if they did then how would Penny wise be able to function in the game. If he was to be ever added.

But what about adding yourself to the game (as killer survivor... or both)
What would you bring to the Entity's realm

these were all great ideas sooner or later I'll add a fan made chapter of my design to the forums. Complete with map, Perks, survivor, but most importantly the killer. Wish me luck

"Dead by the end of the Rainbow" - the new update!
new stuff:
unicorn costumes for every killer
gens are now gold pots survivors need to steal the gold from
the sky is light blue and instead of the moon there is a huge rainbow
hitting a survivor ends up with confetti spraying around and them leaving confetti on the ground instead of blood.
etc.
its basically just Pyroland from TF2 in DbD.
YES I LOVE THIS

It could be Jack the ripper. It would be really interesting to see a real killer in the game. And he wouldn’t even be licensed. I mean hes long ded.
true originally I thought if Jack the Ripper was to be in the game he'd be like ghost face. And personally I would like to see a Sweeny Todd, Fiery hellish feel to him if they were gonna add him to the game. Speaking of which you can even add licensed killers from movies, to video games even in this list if you want.

A vampire killer would be great. He could teleport through lockers, and make a jump on survivors.
We also need a crawling killer, who can utilize buildings as his climbing spots. A mix between a human and a spider would be horrifying when it jumps down in front of you.
A tracking killer with dogs as his special ability. He could send one or two out every minute, and they would start barking if they stumble upon a survivor/maybe even bite down on them, and the survivor would have to break free before the killer gets to them.
An alien of some sort. We need a space themed chapter.
Swamp killer, like Bigfoot or whatever. The swamp map would also be hard to traverse because of knee deep water in most places.
A city themed chapter.
This is just off the top of my head.
Thats kinda what I'm looking for, I actually had another circus themed map whereas instead of a clown its a one of the circus freaks from the circus the clown joined
-
I like all these posts however I was looking to see like what killer would you add and what theme would he/she have, an example is a pirate themed killer on a pirate themed map you know that kinda feel, basically this here is just make up your own chapter sorta ordeal

He's trash without spirit fury + enduring. Or at least bamboozle or enduring if you don't wanna dedicate two slots to chasing. It's pretty hard to shred at tight loops so he is mostly an M1 killer who can teleport around, basically a worse Freddy.
Save the best is a bait perk, because it hardly makes a difference in a chase without 6+ stacks and is really only useful for contesting unhooks. Stridor isn't needed on anyone who isn't spirit.
You need corrupt intervention, like every other non god tier killer. Drop most of your portals directly on generators, and a secret portal near a cluster of generators you want to protect. Check them frequently with of the abyss. If they are wasting time cleaning your portals they are not doing gens, and you can quickly set them again with your secret portal.
As for the last perk, I usually use use BBQ, Pop, or Monitor. Monitor or BBQ for tracking, pop if you want slowdown. I like monitor because his terror radius is quieter than normal so you can usually gain alot of distance on people before they start moving off gens. His chase is so weak that it can be hard to even get good use of pop.
One thing I forgot to mention I do not have corrupt intervention as a teachable yet so whats the next best thing?

One thing about the shred. Look at the survivor you're chasing. Are they looking back at you or straight ahead as they run? This matters.
If they're looking ahead, you can get a shred hit just by lining it up right.
If they're looking at you, then they're preparing to dodge. You can aim for the direction you think they'll dodge and hopefully get a hit....OR you can fake them out! Charge up your shred and they'll begin spinning circles trying to dodge. Even though you move slower while charging, you'll still gain ground on them. Then just cancel the shred and hit them with a normal attack.
So what Im getting is basically bait it

I'm going to assume you meant to say "This is good for clown", and if that's the case, thank you! I've also wondered what exactly his own chase music would sound like. If it would be anything like his menu theme, I'm sure it'd be great to listen to on both sides.
It would probably be something like the common circus theme we hear but turned into a more of a intense and fearful take on it.

There was a thread in the Feedback and Suggestions sub section that goes in depth about a secondary tonic idea. Here is the thread link if you are interested: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/140928/another-idea-to-help-buff-the-clown
Thanks

@BattleCast said:
I would like to see Clown have more than one Tonic. In the lore it always talks about Clown experimenting, and making more than one tonic. The Afterpiece Tonic was just his favorite, so he could have a secondary Tonic that he also likes but not as much as The Afterpiece Tonic.
Yeah thats what should be done something that could balance him out.
-
In my opinion its Demo, he is not my style of playing when I do use his power it doesn't do as its supposed to like reveal survivors but I would take him over Clown at times
-
Demogorgon, everything from his perks to his power are garbage, he is even worse than both deathslinger, and clown combined
-
For power I go Oni, for something simple and fun, go clown or Deathslinger. But i did hear a leak that Legion will be in the next Rift
-
Sucks I don't have Legion, welp I'm in the market

wait where did you find this?

@Alify said:
From the Stranger Things chapter there are 6 perks of the survivors, however only 2 perks are good, the rest need a buff
Why should perks be buffed? - A chapter costs money, and not small ones. Sometimes it’s sad to realize that free characters have better perks than paid ones, and I’m talking about all the chapters that you need to buy.
Now I’ll talk about Babysitter perk
babysitter is one of the worst perks in the whole game now
This perk is very weak due to the fact that the one who took it to the game does not get any benefit for several reasons:
- 8 seconds is very short. During this time, the saved survivor does not have time to do anything, and why did the developers make so little time for the perk?
- The fact that the rescued survivor leaves no bloodtrail and scratchmarks is good, but what about the groans of pain? If the survivor groans, then he can still be found. Yes, the Iron Will of perk can save the situation, but what if the survivor does not have it? The meaning of the perk is to safely save the survivor from the hook and prevent him from getting caught by the killer again, but the fact that the perk does not muffle the groans of pain contradicts his idea and this is bad. It turns out that the Perk did nothing
- 4 seconds to see the Killer'r aura and the Killer sees your aura is interesting, but what if the killers have undetectable status? Eventually, half of the action of the Perk disappears
- Why the unhooked Survivor can't see the Killer's aura too? It turns out that if you play solo and take this perk, there is a high chance that the Unhooked survivor will run towards the Killer and you can’t warn him in any way. Again, the perk did nothing, but only told the killer where you are and the chance that the killer will again stumble upon a rescued survivor.
perhaps this is all the problems associated with this perk. And this is just the first Survivor's perk from this chapter.
How do I suggest improving this perk? I will try to make this perk from useless to decent (I don’t know how it can be upgraded to meta level)
1. increase the duration of the perk to 12/16/20 seconds instead of 4/6/8 seconds
8 seconds is not enough to completely hide from the Killer, now there will be much more time and the rescued survivor will feel calm for a while. He will have more time to gather strength. Now perk is really doing its job.
2. add that along with scratchmarks and bloodtrails, the groans of pain are also muffled
Now the perk does what it should. The unhooked survivor will now be safe, because he will not be heard by the Killer.
3. make that you and the unhooked survivor see the killer's aura for 8 seconds (the killer still sees a rescuer for 4 seconds)
Now, thanks to the perk, the rescued survivor will not accidentally come upon the killer and he will be able to find a safe place where he can gather strength. Also, this perk allows the rescuer to come up with something so that everything works out for the better. Because another point of the perk is to distract the Killer. Now you can juke the Killer by running in one direction, and seeing that the killer went where you took him, go the other way.
4. make perk ignore the undetectable status
As I said earlier, half the meaning of a perk simply disappears if the killer has this status effect. Now everything is fine and the perk is working as it should.
I could already finish it, however, I also often saw on the forum proposals for boosting the speed of an unhooked survivor. The idea is very cool and useful and fits this perk, this idea would be great for preventing tunneling and make the perk very good, but, as for me, Babysitter already does too much. But who knows? maybe developers will think about it. I think this idea is suitable for another steve perk.
What do we have now:
While you have a reputation for being self-centred, you risk it all to help those in need.
When you unhook a Survivor, the unhooked Survivor leaves no Scratch Marks, Blood Trail and Groans of Pain for the next 12/16/20 seconds.
Both you and the unhooked survivor see killer's aura for 8 seconds
the killer sees your aura for 4 seconds
As someone who likes Steve Harrington as a character I wouldn't mind these changes at all and does actually give him sort of an edge
-
I think for breakable walls to be in like loops like killer shack or other infinite's in other maps, I don't think they should be available in Hawkins though
-
This is actually cool @Peanits I really would like to see some more map balancing with some of the older maps, but overall I think these changes are good, so what comes in the mid chapter patch?

Since there are some rumors going around about the Candyman coming to Dbd. I saw some clips from the movie and just know that ppl have to say his name 5 times in a mirror. But I mean besides that he has a hook in his hand and has bees in his body.. he seems very ... boring?
I might not know enough about his movie and character but honestly he seems very boring and not special at all as a potential Killer, am I missing something? And if I do, would be nice, if someone can explain more stuff about him.
in my opinion the Candyman is special because he is a matter of fact the first black slasher in the history of horror movies, he follows a theme in which is not commonly viewed in slasher films. He has a civil war feel and that is what makes him special.

Give me some insight on Why you think it’s a joke? What are some flaws you see in this game mode and how would you change it please?
Sorry about that it was just on April fools day and I just thought this was just something for a laugh or giggle. For flaws it would be kinda difficult for both the killer and survivor teams to cooperate and I can't imagine the toxicity that could follow but not a bad concept idea nonetheless.
-
great April fools joke, or is this being serious. Anyway great concept nonetheless.
-
I do find Clown fun to play as sometimes but the thing is with DBD currently is that I realized not all killers are balanced but I did realize some of the weaker killers are very fun where as stronger killers aren't. so what i think is that they should focus on the more fun aspect of the game for both sides, Im not saying there shouldn't be any reworks, but at least the devs should think about the enjoyment part of the game, But this is just me
-
Personally I do believe the white eyes are ment to trick the killers into thinking that they are killing the ones they hate but has anyone ever considered into looking the black eyes in killers like clown, trapper, and others? Not that I've seen for me killers with black eyes, are in my opinion serving the entity willingly, Clown kills for fun, trapper kills (according to his lore and tome 1) he wants to put these 'maggots in their place'. But thats just me though what do you think
-
Poor clown, that represents how he really is in the game sadly
but good so far, I would like for you to show Rins personal survivor perks later on though

Thank you! To be honest this was just dipping my toes in the water to check and see if there was an interest in this sort of thing. I'll do a second chapter sooner than later and see how if people like it. It's obviously not official lore but I like an interactive world as opposed to a segmented one.
You should as a fellow writer onto another, you are great at what you do. Anyway try creating a story of how Rin encounters the other killers, like Trapper, Oni, clown, wraith, and more.
-
I do think clown is somewhat underrated because I have been able to score a 4 man on him on some very survivor sided maps, but he could use some changes, and slight buffs, or reworks, just something to give him more map pressure than currently, but his is just my opinion
-
Good Fanfic very good I liked to hear more later.

For the map changes: Seems like good ideas maybe for future chapters, but I think it will be a while before we see that.
For Deaths linger changes, I do agree on these, but I don't see how the spear coming back would be any help not a bad idea though, and breaking pallets I agree he really could use a buff and a bit of something more to give pressure because at this point he might be worse than clown who isn't good.
-
I will not lie deathslinger his hard to master, I usually would do well with him on console but I have him on PC. His gun doesn't automatically hit the survivors so they have only 1 second to react, but he hard to land a shot. But he might be decent.

Going down the list,
- Krampus: Not a fan, not that it’s a bad idea, it just doesn’t excite me.
- Insect Monster: If done right, it could be really good. Just as long as it’s less than 20% humanoid, it could be really good. I hate bugs, with a passion so this would give me anxiety during gameplay. We need more anxiety in this game.
- Yeti is the same as Krampus, I don’t have a desire for it, but I’m not opposed to it either way.
- Vampire- Yes please! I’ve always been a fan of them and if I had a choice to be one irl, I probably would. They would have to give it really unique gameplay though!
- Werewolves- meh, never been a fan and we don’t really need it if we get a different “monster” type like Bug or Yeti.
- Sea Monster: Scary Mermaid who has to drag herself across the ground with her arms. The design team needs to give her good sound effects that make her sound like shes wading through mud.
- Tentacle Monster: Yes Please! I’m a weeb through and through, and I’d love to be in control of a tentacle monster trying to get a grasp on Shirtless David.
the last one. What?

No. Tomes will only include original characters that can be purchased with Iridescent Shards. Any character that can only be bought with real money or Auric Cells will not be required for a challenge. Their perks may be, but in that case, they will appear in the shrine for a week around the time the challenge is added.
Okay yeah I guess that makes sense

The harpoon gun would have made much better sense with a Pirate killer.
Yeah true, but I thought of a cutlass instead, what did you think of the other ideas though? Good, bad, something I need to change?
-
Some killers I have in mind is a pirate themed killer, another circus themed killer(since clown doesn't do justice anymore) like the ringmaster of the circus that Clown was in who's a circus freak who joined the show.( With an Actual Theme Park map). A jack the ripper like killer on the streets of a London type map. But that just me though what would you like to see.
