This was a comment on youtube, I dont know but this might make sense
""Her father faced a debt that grew without end. He started working double-shifts in hopes of obtaining a promotion.
That's when he started losing sleep. A dark whisper would keep him awake all night, reminding him of his hopeless situation.
Exhausted, he started to lose grasp of reality."
I think her father got possessed by this entity causing him to kill his wife and daughter!"
In her bio in-game, it very much alludes to this being the case. I actually thought it was kinda weird that Run became the killer, and not her father. As every other killer, like, actually killed someone in their bio.

I mean, the lore could be that the Entity Fs with killers too, you know? Rin wants revenge, the entity drags her father as killer so that she can never get it and so she becomes a bloodlusted killer because of it. The entity wins another round
I believe one of Benedict Baker's journal entries mentions that the entity has essentially tortured the soul of the killer to the point of doing its bidding without question.
Hell, one of the journal entries hints at the possibility of Baker becoming a killer. Although, with the lore on "The Hunger," it looks more likely that Vigo will become a killer.

Yeah, @Peanits said on another post that you just have to be on the gen when it pops. It's worded pretty badly. Should say complete gen repair, not completely repair gen.
-
Original characters for sure, over more movie characters, but I would love if they brought in someone from another game. Pyramid Head would be dope, but I don't know how that would work. Frank West would work for survivor. Maybe the Painted Priestess from fatal frame 3.
-
I don't.
-
I like Monto and Samination. Monto is pretty down to earth and humorous. Plus, I mean, he's in the game (lol). Samination makes the Dead by Daylight parody animations.
-
Because of the recharge, when in a Chase, only chain blink if you are close. Otherwise, only blink once. That's the only thing I can think of that would make running in a straight line work against Nurse.
-
If survivors can escape from you by running in a straight line, you're doing something wrong. That's the only time it's easy to catch anyone. Looping is where her change hits hard. She's too slow to get around the loop, and the recharge allows them to continue the loop.

Legion is not horrible, as a main legion I agree with some changes. It was needed to change the movement speed, you barely could hit a survivor without frenzy. Legion need some love in their add-ons and maybe change that you don't lose all your power for missing a hit, maybe losing 20% of the power, and I understand, the change was to avoid the stab-legion. It was annoying as a survivor hearing stab-stab-stab-stab then hit.
Deep Wound needs some love as well, it's ok that feral frenzy is a non-lethal power but I think the deep wound timer should reduce even if it's not much when you're in-chase or in the killer TR (meaning the deep wound won't be a lethal power but you still will be penalized if you remain without being healed). Of course, to prevent abuses the killer wouldn't see it.
Legion is pretty bad now. The main draw originally was their FF speed and vaulting. Vaulting is now so slow that survivors quick vault over the pallet before you can attack. And that's from the side you vault to. Legion can be looped easily while in FF now. That combined with missed attacks kicking you out of your power makes their power very situational. Unless you equip a perk that affects survivors you injure, they don't even heal.
-
Fun fact: killer dc does not count as an escape. It doesn't go both ways for some reason. So don't go bullying the killer as Claudette trying to get her escape challenge.
-
I would play on Switch if they connected accounts so I don't have to unlock all the perks and dlc, or buy the cosmetics again.

The tv show or the old movies? Based on the movies i hoped that we would get Ash as a survivor and killer. But im fine with the puppet, dont need the chainsaw :D
Both. More Army of Darkness, though.

I just play Tombstone Meyers when survivors complain too much.

Someone doesnt like evil dead
I love Evil Dead. Was a killer main til Ash came out. I only started playing survivor seriously after getting Ash. This is apparent when seeing that the level of my Nea blood web still has Urban Evasion on it.
Edit: meant killer main. Fixed it
-
So I just paid for the premium pass. I'm at rank 16 in the rift. I got 2 event skins and 3 green skins. Event skins cost 400 AC per piece, and greens cost 250. So, for 1000 AC, I got 1550 AC worth of skins. Assuming you care about each piece you get, I'd say that's pretty worth it.

I just wish breaking him out of stealth was more consistent... Sometimes i'm staring face to face and nothing! Othertimes it feels like i'm breaking him through walls =/
He has add-ons that decrease how far away you can be to break him out. That's why it's not always the same.

A chase will be extended by 3 more seconds by a 3-second cooldown only if the survivor stands still. If the survivor runs away, a 3-second cooldown extends the chase by more than 3 seconds.
I felt kinda bad today. I finally faced a Nurse on console again, and all I did was run forward and she was never able to touch me. Did that for 3 gens before she finally saw someone else and ditched me.
With old nurse, whenever she started to charge her blink, I ran towards her. She'd blink past me and I'd be home free. Now, there is at least a counter play to that.
-
Refusing to cleanse and stay broken isn't always a great idea. Plague has an add-on that reveals the aura of anyone that pukes, and another that gives corrupt purge whenever a gen pops. So you work a gen while broken, plague sees where you are, and gets a powerful ranged attack just in time to catch you with it.

@FearlessHunter said:
I haven't seen a single nurse since the "slight changes" made to her. I don't know how drastic her changes are tho as I never really played her.
They completely changed her add-ons, and her blink now has a 3 second recharge per blink starting when she goes into her fatigue.
-
Personally, I define "do well" as at least 10k bp. Regardless of kills or escapes
-
I played Nurse right before the rework and right after. I would occasionally get a decent blink, but I was never good with her. Even after mostly playing killer the last 2 years, I still struggled to play her. The only thing that is really any worse is the recharge for her blink. But since I was never that great at it, I didn't blink super often. Her new add-ons, to me, made her more fun. Ik some are lame. Also, ppl keep going on about how slow she is and that her nerf made that more apparent. Except that there are now 2 add-ons that increase her speed. One situational, that is good for those of us who aren't that great at blinking, as finally landing one speeds you up. And one that costs a blink. These are why people that weren't very good with her, but had a basic understanding of her power are now better. But the play styles promoted by her new add-ons, combined with the added cool down, changed how she could be played, making it so you can't spam blinking. As many are used to that as a staple of hers, not being able to do that anymore makes many unwilling to change how they play her.

That would be like the hardest thing to balance xD maybe both having first person and yeah maybe <3
Idk, maybe if the killer had re4 controls, it would be balanced. Would be cool to see the exact way you attack.
-
@SolarFoxVB said:
Also, just thought this.
This would make a great cover-up perk for Bill's Left Behind, because it's basically useless now. Gen speed when last alive? Just close the hatch.
Left behind no longer works like that. It now allows you to see the aura of the hatch when close by.
Edit: to be clear, you have to be the last survivor to trigger it.
-
Fun fact: Nurse can blink through the exit gates any time throughout the trial.
-
I tend to flap my arms wildly if the killer is near. But when the killer leaves, I allow my arms to reach the hook, then stop
-
So, one time, when I went up against the Spirit, I swear I heard breathy sound when she was nearby. Idk if that was a bug or not, cuz I only ever remember it being that one match.
Honestly, though, there's another killer that turns invisible. They determined that the Wraith's bell wasn't enough to balance him, so they added a flickering effect. If the spirit did that, too, it would be better. Think about it. She already has the ability to snap out of invisibility instantly, which is a leg up on the Wraith's invisibility. Why not give her a similar flickering effect?

This doesn't make sense. If you couldn't play her before (cuz difficult) you should have even more trouble now with her since addons and basekit is nerfed.
Her add-ons work better for me. I even like shortening the blink distance. I always had the problem of either blinking so far past the survivor I could no longer find them, or, trying not to go too far, would just blink into the wall for not holding the button long enough. Do keep in mind that I play on console.

If I've learned anything about this game its that they are very reluctant to change anything - regardless of outcries. How long did it take for the Freddy rework? Legion? The trial of dedicated servers? They may change the difficulty but I wouldnt be surprised if its not until the next rift or the one after that.
I get your point about Freddy, but they killed Legion after just a few months.
-
I actually prefer the Nurse now. It's mainly because of her new add-ons, but I couldn't play her before. Sure, I lose the occasional blink because I didn't wait long enough, but that happens so seldom, I don't see it as an issue.
-
You can just block them. Then you won't be in a match with them again.
-
I actually couldn't play nurse before. With her new add-ons, I can. The iridescent ones are kinda lame though.

I disagree. But regardless, Spine Chill is not a needed perk at all unless the killer is Spirit. That’s just stupid. It is not comparable to his ruin example whatsoever. That’s all I’m saying. Gen stalling perks and anti tunnel/camp perks are. These are universally used and don’t require a specific killer or specific survivor perk and combat issues each side feels they may have with the game. Spine chill and ruin isn’t even close to the same.
I run spine chill quite often. It's useful regardless of who you go up against. Next you'll say that Doctor needs nerf cuz Calm Spirit is necessary to counterplay.

@Exerlin said:
There are two main reasons Legion is seen as a really bad killer.
- Their power can't be used to help down a survivor
- Hitting an injured survivor with their power barely has any effect
I'd like to suggest something for the second point that would make Legion's powerful more useful: Double the time it takes to mend when Legion inflicts deep wounds on an injured survivor. This could also apply when you hit a survivor that already has deep wounds applied to them.
Adding this would address both the uselessness of hitting a survivor in FF twice and hitting an injured survivor in FF. The only thing that might need to change with it are the blade addons, but a simple fix for that is just not letting the blades extend the already extended mend time.
I can see where you're going, and it's interesting, but you'd just end up with infinite mending again, which is one of the reasons they nerfed legion in the first place. Maybe a slight increase with a hard cap. I really wish they'd just go back to reducing the timer again. Even if the reduction was less, it'd be better. And now that you can't see the DW timer, you wouldn't know how much you'd need to hit them to down them, so it'd still be more balanced than before.

Lol. she has a cooldown on her power. The cooldown has it's own cooldown (Fatigue has to finish before the cooldown will start)
And in spit of all that, she STILL moves slower than a WALKING Survivor.
She lost ALL her map pressure and 50% of her chase ability. Anyone calling her 'top tier' just hopes she will get nerfed harder or has no idea what they are talking about.
I wasn't any good with the old nurse. Could never really catch anyone. The cooldown barely limits much of anything other than chane blinks. With her new add-ons, I actually have more fun playing as her now than I used to. 4.6 m/s speed after a lethal blink is great for people that aren't necessarily the best at aiming blinks. I know that basically means fast movement for a lucky shot, but combine that with a short undetectable chase spices things up.
I kinda like the new add-ons that essentially imitate Nurses Calling III and Stridor III. Frees up a perk slot or 2.
Iridescent add-ons are pretty lame, though. +1 blink to make her terrible at her own stage? Why? Why not increased charge time or fatigue? -1 blink for faster movement can be okay, but I find myself needing that extra few feet every time.
-
I absolutely hate campers. The basement is always available. Also, if 2 survivors rush a hook being camped, you can get them down without much issue. One takes the hit while the other unhooks when the killer is stuck in coll down, then takes a hit for the unhooked.
-
Yeah, maybe the killer perk just checks for escapes=0.
Hey @Peanits, thoughts?

I love it! Now if only the balance team would fix Legion so I'd have a reason to buy the skin..
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Ik, right? I really just want that mask cuz Suzie is best girl. Honestly, if they just made it so that missed attacks in ff worked like they used to, it'd be way better. Though hitting wounded survivors while in ff doing nothing is really the hardest hit. Even if they lowered it's effectiveness while still still decreasing the timer, it'd be better. I've had so many injured survivors just stand there while I was in ff. It's a joke.

Completing 4 gens on your own with Dark Sense is an impossible challenge. Killing 4 survivors in the basement is impossible, this is pure greed. They don't want us to finish the rift. They want us to put even more money in the game.
I've gotten 4k's in the basement a few times. Once they were all down there at the same time. It's doable at least at mid rank.

Also, DCing counts too.

Well we’ll see how long it takes before the Killers cry for a nerf, they must’ve complained about syringes already because those are officially useless at an astonishing 16 secs for a automatic heal opposed to the PTB’s 8 seconds.
Yeah, 16 seconds is a bit long, but it's still useful for getting someone off the ground. Just use it quick, then distract the killer who now thinks they prevented a heal.
-
No, this teaches nothing. I garentee that a killer that camps is more interested in the sacrifice than game length. Gen rush? They don't care, they got a kill, they won. Survivors need to stop thinking that killers feel like they need a 4k to win. Personally, I tend to feel like I won if I got the most BP. When legion first came out, I very rarely ever even got 1k but still had lots of fun. Everyone's victory is different.

Theoretically speaking, yeah. It's definitely faster with the challenges, at 5 per challenge. Also, it means your time isn't wasted on challenges, as even if you fail, you're still progressing the rift.
-
Don't spine chill and premonition both state that they overcome any method the killer uses for stealth? Sounds less like a Nerf for consistency and more of a bug fix.
-
On another forum, someone said that even a DC counts, so survivors can't sabotage your run. Might as well play Legion. Only killer I've played where survivors DC's just by seeing me

Prestige survivor:
P1 = Bloody torso cosmetic "default skin"
P2 = Bloody pants cosmetic "default skin"
P3 = Bloody face/head cosmetic "default skin"
Prestige Killer:
P1 = Bloody weapon "default skin"
P2 = Well it gets weird here as its not always the same. Sometimes its Mask/head other times its lower/upper torso. It seems killer dependent unlike survivor.
P3 = Whatever you didn't get from P2
When you prestige a survivor or killer you instantly return to "Level 1" on that character, loose all you perks/add-ons/items/offering (aside from the 3 character specific perks) and start at Bloodwed level 1.
In my opinion unless you really like the bloody cosmetic or want to get the achievement for getting P3 lvl 50 it is NOT worth doing. Sadly as more and more perks are added into the game it becomes a bigger burden to get the perks you want on your newly prestige character making the grind much longer.
TLDR: Prestige 1 character to P3 lvl 50 for achievements then never do it again...EVER.
The main exception here is that, for Ash, his p1 cosmetic is torso and face. Then pants, then his cybernetic hand.
-
I remember when they only cost about 200 for perks, but harder to get. By the time I got enough, they introduced a faster way of getting iridescent shards and increased the cost of everything.
-
Yeah, ebony mori needs to be changed. Maybe just 2 uses instead of unlimited. Also, they should give a bp boost to survivors if not everyone, as it can give a killer an unexpected edge.
-
There is a bit of a strategy to it. One I like is hiding near a gate and waiting for the killer to close the hatch to power the gate.

Just do gens. A philosophy that survivors don't develop is "Possibly go into struggle, we have BT and your decisive and adrenaline, you'll get out!" By then 5 gens will have been popped and game is saved and over. The counter is gen-rushing.
I'm really tired of ppl suggesting gen rushing. It's not a solution. Especially for new players.
