Lol, this though. I never face camp but I've considered doing exactly this in times when the survivors have made me decide that I don't want to play anymore.
Exactly. It can be a total mood killer when you feel like the survivors are making a fool out of the power role. The issue though is that survivors consider this fun and when one side is having fun, chances are the other side isn't. Nobody likes being on the losing end of the match, and sometimes you just want to make sure the winners don't get their glory
-
Should probably throw this out there ahead of time, the only killer who you could really say was buffed recently was Leatherface. Spirit, Nurse and Billy who are all top tier killers, had their powers tweaked to make things less annoying and more fair for survivors. As far as the rest of the post, others are right. It's just something you have to get used to when playing online against other people. Unfortunately some people are just naturally #########.
-
Unfortunately this is the way it will turn out 90% of the time. I know it feels like you are being punished for looping, but sometimes that isn't the case. Sometimes a killer is going to camp anyway and all you did was delay the process by being a good runner. Not that some people won't go out of their way to spite you. As someone who plays both sides a fair amount, I can vouch that it is very frustrating to feel powerless against a survivor who is looping when you are supposed to be the power role. The reason why it is so hard to break a chase is usually for one of two reasons: either the killer's ego is so big he can't let you escape, or the killer realizes the next survivor might just do the same things and all he's done at that point is waste more time finding someone else.
-
As a console player, I wouldn't mind if they go at this point. Sure they were fun at the very beginning when everyone still swung at them, but now people counteract it by simply sitting still and letting you run back at them so it doesn't make much of a difference anyway.
-
I believe the next nerf will be to Spirit. People complain about her just as much and while I can name a few things off the top of my head to counter deathslinger, I'd really have to think for Spirit. She has less counterplay. She will get hit again.
-
That makes a lot of sense. I've been getting consistent lag. Wonder if it's an issue for the whole platform because it can't register certain graphics, tiles, etc. Other games work fine just like you said

I wish I could upvote this 10 times. I'm ashamed to admit this, but It took me a while to realize this simple idea.
Plus, when I play survivor and get hatch... It's nice to get extra BPs, but... I still count it as a loss, so there is no good feeling of victory.
Exactly. A pity hatch is not a win in my book

Use something to monitor the usage levels and temps of your CPU / GPU / HDD / SDD while this is happening, and see what they are @ before during and after this happens.
I'm not playing on PC. Trust me, it isn't my console. Or everything else wouldn't run perfectly
-
This. As a survivor main I vote stop being so nice and letting the newer survivors live. You want to give the last person the hatch? Fine. But when you let all the newer survivors escape it puts them up at ranks they shouldn't be at. Causing them to die and be terrible teammates to higher ranking survivors in the process possibly costing them their rank
-
Sometimes you get rushed no matter how hard you try to pressure gens. Some killers just naturally lack pressure and are bound to lose more gens quickly, especially against SWF

Most of them are purple and red rank surprisingly

When someone uses an all hex build, that's the most spiciest match I'll ever have. I'm bored going against meta killers with meta perks. A change up would be much enjoyable.
It was fun at first, but now I see it pretty much every build like it's become the new meta or something
-
Have a couple of them
- When I risk my neck to save you off the hook, and you don't make an attempt to come back to get me even though you see that the killer is away from the hook
- When other survivors know I'm working on a gen and they intentionally sell me out to save themselves (bonus points if they have bond or empathy)
- People who disconnect from games because they don't like the map or because they see a certain offering
-
Camping and tunnelling are both valid strategies the killer COULD utilize. The devs have said this before. Is it fun to play against? No, we all hate to go against it, but the only options are to figure out how to counter it, or just move on to the next match.
Also there is an underlying issue with this. During this time they don't enter second phase or die on hook, if they could be unhooked, theoretically they would have a chance at never dying because someone could save them in that 20 seconds before death hook
-
Don't know if it's the frame rate, or the servers being terrible, but I've had so many instances in the past couple days where the lag is unreal. I'll be perfectly fine playing then boom, the game is basically a wallpaper. Don't have this issue with any other game so obviously it isn't an issue on my end
-
Kinda like what other people said, it's a really hard snowball effect. Survivors who are just trying to have fun get camped for no reason and then put on a full perk build to screw the killer seven ways to Sunday with keys and flashlights, etc. and as killer, they get bullied by the toxic survivors, leading to them bringing an ebony mori and a build to crush survivors the next game to kill them off first hook. I admit to doing both of these things and I'm sure many others have as well. The issue with it, like you said, is that those players did nothing to us. But since we are so angry at the previous people we played against, we are ready to take that frustration out on whoever is present
-
Yes. I just got back into the game and I wish I never did. The lag is so horrendous it's unbelievable. Definitely a server issue on their end
-
I can confirm that Playstation trophies can in fact be changed. Rainbow Six Siege trophies are changed every so often.

It also counters ruin. Need to go save someone and ruin is actuve? Block the gen, make the save, no progress lost. Ruin just got killed depending in length and cooldown
Never thought about that. Though with totems placements, I never see Ruin as a problem, just a minor inconvenience that is usually gone in 2 minutes

It's just that the meta survivor build right now is DS, Iron will, Dead hard. Survivors still have that last perk slot which most SWF will use for basically anything. Ive seen it with OoO, we'll make it, BT (obvoius) Etc.
Now the survivors have a pretty good counter at the best killer perk in the game which is what I think is going to be the "meta" 4th perk. Even if they don't have pop, using the perk is still gonna save a lot of gen progress, or waste a lot of the killers time.
I guess time will tell
-
@oxygen said:
Does the gen-blocking perk block it for survivors too? I assume so.
... can I get in trouble if I use it against other survivors to stop them from 3genning us? ๐
Based on the tiny clip I saw, yes. Suppose that could be an efficient strategy. Or it could cause those people to sit in a corner until it is able to be worked on again

I'm sorry i am absolutely TERRIFIED for that perk at high level play. Literally almost everyone uses pop against good teams and it can come in clutch for most games against genrush squads who solo gens.
Could be me overreacting but I think it's going to plague high ranks not as much as DS, but something as much as BT.
Why was this perk even invented in the first place? Pop isn't OP and it absolutely did not need such a hard counter.
Highly doubt it will be ran as much as you think. If there is one thing I've learned, it's that people will not swap out the typical builds for a new perk that could counter a perk the killer may or may not have. A lot of players will run the same perks because they know they will use them every game. Take Small Game for example. Many people complain about NOED yet they won't bring Small Game to cleanse the totems. Same thing will probably happen here.

Yeah but if the killer isn't using that perk it's pretty much going to be a wasted perk slot so it sounds extremely situational. Can't see it being used at all.
Exactly.

Or block the gen if you're going for a hook save and come back to it.
I hope it lasts about 30 - 40 seconds.
If it doesn't then it would be really useless
-
Can't really get mad at false teasing to be fair. All of it was speculation. None of it went off of any solid evidence

I honestly think the last perk that blocks gens is going to be used against Pop goes the Weasel.
I see it as being to situational to get used. It assumes they will have Pop Goes The Weasel and then out of all the gens they could check, walk to and damage yours. Unless it gets changed, don't see it being used

Console also has better 360's, but devs are slowly making them even, they've buffed console's sensitivity a lot, and probably will soon to make it able to keep up with PC. I'm more worried about the FPS, especially on those graphics.
True. The graphics do look amazing though. Mad props to them

Didn't they just buff controller sensitivity? How is it still too low?
Yeah, but a mouse will always have an advantage over a controller joystick. You can move a mouse a lot faster
-
Personally I don't think the crossplay between console and PC is a good idea. One has a huge advantage in sensitivity over the other
-
Should be tied to distance like Deathslinger. The hit detection for the hatchets is already screwed up and it doesn't help when someone gets right up behind you with an insta-down hatchet to guarantee and hit
-
It shouldn't be permanently locked. Often the friends list is buggy and if you add someone while playing you will have to restart your game to get them to appear on the friends list. There should be a option to toggle if you want invite only lobbies
-
More good nurses, Clowns (because he is underrated and I would still like to get better at looping against his power), Demogorgons, Trappers
Less of Ghostface, Michael and Doctor

I was expecting another survivor rant about being tunneled. However after reading your descriptions of when it is logical for the killer to tunnel and when it is not, I agree.
There are plenty of reasons why tunneling works in the killers favor but there are some situations where it is abused.
Agreed. I do not support/condone the tunnelling of one person off the hook to the point where you even refuse to hit people bodyblocking for them or passing a gen where you can clearly see another survivor (that most of the time is injured)
-
I enjoy playing it for the most part. Sure there is certain aspects that get on my nerves but I try my best to overlook them. If I get frustrated I simply take a break

Official reveal is May 26th I believe. You might want to double check as I'm not entirely sure but it is somewhere around there

Hey bud i was there for it they said new prestige rewards could that mean skins who knows but you clearly don't understand what you are talking about.
Don't bother. It's a bait post meant to get you angry. They more than likely know what you are talking about but some people think it's funny to piss others off. And if they are being genuine, just let it go. You tried explaining it and they don't want to listen. Nothing more can be done.

So are we. You know there are two types of Prestige right? Legacy Prestige, which was a one time thing. And regular prestige that gives you the bloody clothing. We're talking about how the devs mentioned that they're adding more rewards for the regular prestige method. So you'll get more then just bloody clothes when you prestige.

You will never be able to fully please the other side. There will always be players on both sides who get mad at you for doing the objective of that role. As long as you aren't cheating or doing anything bannable, you are playing fair.
-
I believe so, but a mod/developer could give a more accurate answer. Keep in mind that if you are queuing with people who would play on a different server/region you would be playing on their server (assuming they hosted the swf) and would have a worse connection which could explain the hits.
-
Believe it or not I find survivor a lot easier. I don't know why but all my killer challenges seem to take multiple games to get where as survivor challenges I can typically get in one game regardless. Only thing annoying about survivor challenges is the pallets (as I like to conserve them) and the unhooks (only the master challenges because with the ranking system the way it is, high rank survivors will get put against low rank killers and typically the killer will never get more than one hook and that is assuming someone messes up a loop and they get a hook at all).
-
This is the only exception I have for tunnelling people. If you want to tunnel someone to kill them and get your snowball effect going then so be it, but don't do it when you are running an ebony considering you can literally take that survivor out of the game at any point you want. But ultimately nothing that can really be done about it except hide or lobby dodge like someone previously mentioned. Their strategy is actually somewhat valid as all the people they avoid are in my game (at least one type of them) 90 percent of the time a mori is used.

@joker7997 my game wasnt toxic, but its understandable that people want and easy game and still able to win with more BP. Its a normal thing for me as Trapper main that once all traps are done, its mostly 3-4 Gen done. Combined with what I said "Gen rush then fool around".
Balance the game isnt enough, people will always find a way to exploit it and make the game easier. Gen rush & Tunneling are examples. There must be a way to totally remove Gen rush & tunneling, camping. I do have ideas for those, and I believe its fair, but unlikely to happens.
They won't get changed too much. All are strategies and the devs had said so themselves. If someone chooses to play that way there isn't really anything you can do to force them to stop. You just have to find the counterplay for that strategy. It might not be fun to play against, but one side shouldn't have to play a certain way just so others can have fun

Hillbilly: Billy
Huntress: Bunny
Cannibal: Worse version of Billy
Oni: Demon
Doctor: Doc
Pig: Piggy
Trapper: Evan
Ghostface: My team will hear me yell "Damn it" as I really hate playing against him
Rest of the killers I call by name

It should have been fixed but if it wasn't I recommend making a post in the bug reports section or tagging a mod so they can move it there

Killers dont have to ,,look harder" just because they see only one. This could lead to a potential loss of the survivor. Its not tunneling just because we only see this guy and didnt look harder.
This. When time is against you, it is imperative you go after anyone you can get compared to looking for someone out of "fairness". When survivors have a lead way it is very easy for them to trail scratch marks and then you end up losing everyone

Shouldn't be like that though. Michael can't really stalk through the corn, so the fact that Ghostface can do it is already kinda bs. But the reveal shouldn't be one sided like that. Either make it so he can stalk and be revealed in corn or neither.
