Regardless though the detection zone is incredibly small and should be increased just a tad. There is no reason why someone looking directly at him shouldn't be able to pull him out of cloak. Some of the games I was in earlier had me staring directly at him but since it wasn't within that tiny detection area it didn't count.

Same.

It's going to take a while. Right now everyone is playing killer so there is even less survivors than normal. Out of curiosity do you play on console or PC? Because PC seems to find killer games faster.

I would rather lose my items than play against ghostface.
His perks literally deter other survivors from saving survivors off the hook.
I'll quit playing altogether if every time I log in its ghost face as the killer.
Michael is awesome to play against, but ghostface is a NO GO.
His perks aren't really that useful though. They don't have much of a benefit. I would say I'm all ears is the most useful one because of the auras. By the time you get to a hook, thrilling tremors has probably worn off and as far as Furtive Chase, what is a reduced terror radius in a chase going to do if they know you are chasing them?

The killer just got released! Play some more by yourself before checking what everyone else is doing. And wait a couple of weeks and someone smarter that us would probably have something meaningful to say about how to use that killer. But not right now
Yes, but people on the PTB have already played him, so their has to be a certain way to play him or to not play him. That's really all I'm looking for cause right now he feels useless

You forget the survivors are a team. If you are the last man you have failed. That hatch is your second chance to leave before you are killed.
So if you get terrible teammates who die without doing anything despite your best efforts to save them, you have failed? Why should you be punished for other people's mistakes?
-
Totems aren't that bad anymore, but I do agree that some of them should be moved so they aren't sitting right out in the open.

I never said I let my team die. Where did you get that from? The killer had just killed three of them even after I did everything I could to save them.

I’ve always been a killer main because survivor takes longer to queue and I always get noob teammates running around and not doing anything. But after a while I get bored of killer and plays some survivor games.
Everyone is saying that survivor is a longer queue, but I have gotten survivor matches no problem. Killer on the other hand takes five minutes (at least) to fill up with four survivors.

Door spawns are in issue for both sides on various maps, they know this and are looking into it supposedly. The whoever finds the hatch first is absolutely fair game. Survivors are not used to this sort of pressure so it feels strong and unfair, but it also feels unfair as killer when the doors spawn on the opposite sides of map and you're not a high mobility killer.
I never said that there was a problem with killer being able to close hatch. It might feel unfair for the killer, but there should be some counter play. You take a chance or pick which one you would rather watch, hatch or doors. There is no way that door spawns will be completely balanced for both sides.
-

@Crazewtboy I mean if he was able to kill 3 of the survivors before the endgame against a competent team then getting the 4th one wasn't free
It still is to an extent because you haven't actually caught the last survivor so therefore it is still not your kill. The doors being on the same wall lead to no counter play and the kill being served to you on a silver platter as you are bound to see them opening the door
-
@Kabu said:
I agree completely with this. It's extremely unfair for survivors.
Exactly! I'm fine with the timer because it pressures them to leave and the killer being able to close the hatch because it counters hatch standoffs. Endgame collapse as a whole is decent (minus the no gen requirement for hatch) but the doors make it completely unfair for one side
-
@Pulsar said:

I believe they said they are already looking into door spawns and making it more fair. Though, if you got to the Endgame, you shouldn't be favored to win, it should be stacked against you.
No, if you can make it to endgame by yourself then the odds shouldn't be stacked against you because chances are your team were terrible and it led to you being alone. Even so, the killer should not have doors be able to spawn on the same wall in endgame collapse. They already have enough power with the timer and the ability to close hatch. But let's say you made it to endgame and your team wasn't garbage, should the killer be handed a free four man because of door spawns? That doesn't seem right.

I agree. Playing killer in red rank feels more like an inconvenience than it does fun. It's a lot of things to worry about at once and you don't really get the chance to have fun since one mistake can send your game out the window. I find survivor more fun because I can mess around with my friends and we all can have a good time running different perk builds. On top of that, one mistake as survivor doesn't mean that I threw the game.

It feels underpowered since it has two negatives on it with...
1.) Being outside of a killer's terror radius
2.) Being on a cooldown (hopefully it's 30sec or below, otherwise it would be worthless perk)
If one of the two negatives were to be removed, (mainly number 1 since the cd would feel fair) this perk would find some usage since 10 out of 15 killers have a terror radius of 32m and most quick actions happen while within the killer's terror radius or during a chase, this perk feels underwhelming to say the least and hopefully get some change to it that could make it somewhat viable.
I can understand that, but I wanna see the perk before I judge it. We also have to remember, nothing is final.

You have to account for time zones. That means the US is probably getting it on the 19th.
I was about to say this! Didn't know Japan mentioned it until I saw Paulie Esther tweet about it but I also think that we will get it on the 19th because of the time zone. We normally get things on Tuesday anyway so it just fits.

If we are going off the base power, Legion loses. His base power sucks in general. This is saying that Leatherface's power is much better considering he is like Billy but can just down multiple people. The only terrible things about Bubba are the annoying glitch with the chainsaw where it looks fully charged, but wasn't so he slowly lowers it again and his lack of map pressure. Besides that, he isn't too bad

Ok, so after doing a bit of research and watching multiple different videos at a time I have noticed that I was wrong about her! She is powerful enough! I know now that she can down with the corrupt vile and that it lasts about a full minute, although it doesn't feel that long. Still wish they would remain broken upon unhook. Don't have access to the PTB right now so I don't know if she is add on dependent or not!
-
So obviously, most killers have weaker bases and they suck without addons. I want to discuss potential buffs to make killers good without their addons.
Spirit does not need add ons at all! I can get a 3 or 4 man at red rank repeatedly with her even with no add ons. You just gotta have good depth perception and know how to play her. Don't help Myers either. It is easy to get kills with Myers and he definitely does not need add ons. Just sit behind a person and pop tier three for an instadown. If you can't play a good game of Myers without add ons it is a problem on the player's end, not the killer's end.
-
Just to see if I can get some answers to clear up my confusion, does the corrupt purge down by itself? or do you have to have add ons? Is losing the broken status effect when getting hooked a visual glitch? Or is it intentional (if it is I find it pretty stupid considering that is the main punishment of being infected)?
-
@TheRealHansGruber said:
The 3 games i played with her varied greatly, but in 1 if those 3 games I got a rage quit cause i downed a nea 3 times with the Corrupt vile, i think its pretty powerful.
But can you actually down survivors without her add on? Even if you can, you have to know exactly where the survivor is so you can get to them in time. Based off of how you lose the broken status upon being hooked and corrupt vile only lasts a short duration I feel like she is gonna be very add on dependent similar to Legion and that isn't a good thing. They should tweak a few things before she goes live. Make it so you don't lose broken status effect upon being hooked and give her a longer timer for corrupt vile (about 40 seconds) that way her base power doesn't feel underwhelming

It's almost as if there's not pig mains out there that manage to 4k regularly or have no issue with the last person jumping in the hatch. I mean it's not like you as the killer can't play to your best by pathing better, not putting all your traps on immediately or anything like that.You could just you know adapt and get better in how you play and not rely on your reverse bear traps to secure your kills since they're for delaying the game.
There's several Pig mains on here that can give you good tips on how to play better instead of blaming game mechanics.
Oh and Pig is a she not a he just for clarity's sake in case you weren't aware, she was an apprentice to another person who was male.
Oh look, a fanboy who is unable to see the flaws in game design...
Unlike most people who play this game, I'm not so blinded by "my love" for this game that I'll ignore the many glaring problems it has. The ability to adapt and overcome a glaring game design flaw doesn't suddenly make it "not a flaw". It merely means you've accepted that the game mechanic is flawed and there's no use fighting it.
Well guess what? I haven't and won't accept it and Its people like me that have made sure the Brand New Part got its nerf and why DP is also getting its nerf!
Its not gameplay mechanics. Its the fact that your ego is too big to admit you suck at killer so you have to blame everything and everyone but yourself to justify why you suck.
-
As any killer main will know, survivors have so many unfair advantages that getting a single sacrifice in rank 14 and above is something to celebrate as 95% of the time everyone will get away and not due to a killer's lack of skill either.(STFU all you wannabe liars, you know damn well you rarely get sacrifices in later ranks so quit trolling!) So most post rank 14 kills will just focus on getting as many points as possible to avoid depipping or at best, get a pip.
I get three mans and four mans almost every game at red rank. If you can't manage to do that you should just get better at playing killer. This isn't an unfair advantage either considering they normally don't find the hatch and even if they do you can have a hatch standoff until they die. Just crouch
-
Not gonna lie, was ready to come in here and say something about survivors being mad that their precious DS is finally getting the nerf it deserves and to quit whining because it hasn't even been changed yet, but now I see it is a joke and as someone who plays both survivor and killer frequently this is funny af XD

But he's also too weak without the addons. Yes he isn't as weak as people say he is but he does need changes to his base power.
I agree. This is the problem that I keep bringing up. While I feel he has no map pressure that might just be me because I haven't bothered to get really good with him yet. He is definitely annoying, but heavily dependent on his add ons. The problem is that his base power is too weak so everyone uses add ons, but his add ons are too annoying and OP (mainly talking about the ones mentioned in the first post). He could do with just a bit of a speed increase to but I feel like the base power should be reworked above all else
-
- Freddy is actually extremely useful if you have decent perks on him and know how to play him. People need to stop comparing bad killers to Freddy because they can't play him.
- Trapper definitely isn't the best killer but he is high mid tier. They could fix his trap hitbox because it is a bit bullshit but other than that he is pretty good. Just because you can't play him doesn't mean he is useless.

It shouldn’t. Now I believe with every token you get, YOUR aura cannot be seen within 24 meters. I.E. if you have 2 tokens, if you are within 48 meters of the killer, it is impossible for him to see any of your auras from Nurses, deerstalker, Object of Obsession etc.Thx

So you want to have more grind?
Then let's reverse even survivors perks that go tweaked so everybody have more grind again alright?
....Im good with that. Personally I thought things were balanced before all the perk changes. Now it seems like survivor perks are worse than before (some at least, some are BS for killers I will admit) and the killer perks made you actually work for that extra bous. It made you think about what was more valuable depending on the tier. Now it seems like things are just handed to the killers. Im not saying things should be handed to the survivors. Neither side should be handed a victory.

Yes we should also make it so selfcare doesn't allow you to heal yourself unless it's level 3

I don't play as much any more so mine was pretty low. That might have something to do it
-
@CoolAKn said:
Some people just suck. As a survivor, there's not too much you can do if a killer wants to really camp an event generator. You can try to draw them away, but some of them might just be dead set on camping that gen. Getting the event gens was actually very easy because one repaired event gen gave all survivors 1 point towards the event. As a killer, if survivors are sabotaging the event hooks, just run Hangman's Trick perk if you have it available (Requires the Pig or if you find it available on Shrine of Secrets). At Tier 3, Hangman's Trick brings hooks back after 10 seconds instead of 3 minutes normally. It also causes sabotaged Bear Traps back much sooner (2 minutes instead of 3 minutes normally), making this an ideal perk for the Trapper.I know this. I am a veteran player

@Jesp said:
Going into the game with your primary objective being preventing event gens from being done as opposed to actually kill anyone is a dick move, sure. But if the survivors make it obvious they'd rather die than do one of the two normal gens that are left when they need one more gen to power the gates? Why on earth would the killer not guard it?Believe me, I was one of those survivors that didn't care in the slightest about actually escaping. If I could finish an event gen in the killer's face I'd do it even if I died on the next hook. But even I realize I'm not entitled to freely do my gens, just like the killer isn't entitled to the survivors not struggling so he can reach the event hook on the other side of the map.
Im not saying they should be given freely. I am all for working for the reward, but a lot of killers make it literally impossible to get the gens done. I right there with you on popping the event gen in thier face though

Master said:I am always curious what it means when you talk about camping gens and I never got an answer when I asked, so I will try again
How do you camp event gens? camping means that you stay in one place, but there are multiple gens, so how is it possible to camp them?
One strat to camping event gens is finding three gens close together, run perks like overcharge, ruin and pgtw. Basically nullify any progress the survivors get on those event gens. Pretty scummy but some people like to just be #########.
I know, its called 3 gen strat and could also be called patrolling, but its never "camping"
And its always funny when you call people ######### just for doing the objective, same applies to genrushing
Full blown camping can happen on event gens. They usually park their ass on it because they know the other gens are worthless while that one isn’t on. In the end a regular gen is done, and everyone loses out. No event gen completed, killer completely botched the “kill” part of killer
That never happened to me, thats just plain stupid
and I doubt that any killer actually does that as a tactic unless he condeded the game alreadyhappened to me all during the event. Of course I am on PS4, otherwise known as the land of #########. People used this as a legit tatic who had 60%+ on this game. They do it just to be ######### as stated before. It sucks

Camping the special gens is just being an ######### though. You sound like a really typical killer main (no offense) by saying it is stupid for them to sabo only special hooks to stop you from getting your objective but it isn't for you to camp their gens and stop them from getting their objective. We should let each other get the objectives if they are skilled enough. Sure you should put pressure on them, but commit to a chase and don't prioritze the gens when you need the hooks.
