Cause the male survivors we have right now are not even cute. Dwight is an ugly nerd. Jake looks like an homeless man. David is meh,he is only ok with the beard.
As an Ace, I feel offended.

When Wake Up broke it was an accidental action speed buff, and increased run speed, so...
@Crazewtboy If you think 7% on all actions is useless, I question how many hours you have in the game.
Even if run speed isn't included, then that 7% action speed could feasibly be buffed to:
- +82% struggle
- +56% for opening gates
- +42% recovery
- +124% healing
- +91% Saboteur
- +53% unhooking
- +45 repair
et al. from perks in an optimized team in addition to the proposed rework - keeping in mind I'm only using T2 of my revision idea - you can see how too much from the one perk that alters them all is a bad idea.
I maintain that going above 5/7/9% action speed buffs for the T3 version would hurt the game.
For the record, I have almost 2,000 hours in the game. What you listed above would be assuming there is someone there with prove thyself and other perks. I feel like 9% would make the perk a slightly better version of resilience. Of course, I wouldn't know for sure unless I saw it in a PTB.
-
It's been lowered and the values have been changed. Making it too low would make it almost useless.

@ElusivePukka said:
If the action speed buff is stackable, then I'd propose 5/7/9% as the tier three version.
Just look at how people capitalized on the Wake Up bug. Action speed is a powerful buff.
It wouldn't be stackable on gens. Only one person could use it at a time if multiple people were working on gens. This makes it so it can't be abused like wake up where all four people run it at once. As @masantonio suggested, 15/30/45 seems like a fair representation at tier 3 if only one person could use it on a gen at a time. More than one person could use it while healing. This wouldn't make the perk meta at all since there are many other perks you can run. On top of that, you have to wait for someone to die, assuming it isn't you, before it goes into affect when other perks are active from the start of the game. It would just make the perk a bit more useful

Upgrading everything cannot be that powerfull EVEN if it means that someone else died.
I proposed different values for all three tiers above which might seem a bit more fair. Check it out if you haven't already.

Really? That sucks mate. I get Ruin, BBQ, Nurse's and other perks almost immediately in all of my killer bloodwebs. My first perk in my survivor bloodwebs is typically Self Care, followed by any exhaustion perk (except Jane's Head On because I never leveled her up)
-
I never have this problem honestly. I have plenty of killers and survivors leveled up to the point where I can use them and I don't play the game that often. Killer bloodpoint gain is amazing compared to survivor. 25-30k points from one game by default, plus 4 stacks of BBQ brings you to at least 50k. Killer can be leveled up so much faster where as survivor makes 15k a game maybe 20k on average so you have to play 30-40 matches and depending on how expensive bloodwebs are even that might not do it.

I can see 10/20/30, maybe even 15/30/45, but not that high of values.
15/30/45 seems like a fair trade for tier three of the perk. Maybe 5/10/15 for tier one and 10/20/30 for tier two.

Yes action speed as in literally everything. The values can be lowered. But I think the bonus should apply to everything so it is more useful

Gonna try to give some good tips without repeating what others were saying.
- Your first priority in learning how to run is learning how to loop. Know the amount of times you can run around a pallet without being hit.
- Windows exist and can be used in chases just like pallets. DO NOT throw down a pallet unless the killer is right behind you. Otherwise keep running or use a window. Pallets are essential and you need to save them for when you really need them.
- Don't be afraid to run. It leaves tracks, but the killer isn't running around actively searching for your tracks. Start out by only running outside of the terror radius. If you think he is following you, stop running and start walking.
- Hopping in a locker will normally end badly. Most killers will check lockers in the area if they can't find people leaving the gens. Lockers also make a lot of noise when you enter or exist.
- USE HEADPHONES! Can't stress this enough. When playing against a stealth killer such as Pig, Myers, Wraith or Ghostface you can hear their audio coming from a direction and can use that to avoid them. This could potentially save your life.
- Teabagging, Pointing at the killer and spamming your flashlight button are all intentional insults to the killer. It might seem like you are having harmless fun, but unless you are good at running and want the killer to follow you, avoid doing these things.
Now some ways to counter every killer in the game so far.
Trapper: Check the ground and watch where you walk. Crouch and walk slowly in the tall grass so you have a chance to see the prompt before you walk into the traps. Some will traps generators, but most will trap pallets and windows. Keep note of which pallets have bear traps at them. Don't run to those unless you have Dead Hard. Try to avoid windows since you don't know what is on the other side. Avoid the shack window, it will normally be trapped. Dead Hard's boost of immunity can get you over a bear trap on the ground which can cause the killer to have to look for a way around and help you get away, but this DOES NOT work on window vaults.
Wraith: Spine Chill will be your best friend since you will know when he is headed towards you. He makes noise while cloaked so if you don't have spine chill that directional sound I mentioned earlier can help. He has a build in speed boost when he first uncloaks so getting to a pallet or window should be your first priority when he uncloaks to come after you. He moves faster in his cloak and you will not have as much time as you think. A terror radius doesn't fade, if it does, it means he is cloaked. The "bing bong" of his bell indicates him entering and leaving cloak and can be heard map wide when he isn't using add-ons. Use this to your advantage.
Hillbilly: If the Hillbilly charges up his chainsaw, never panic. If you can't make it to a pallet or window, try to fake him out by running in one direction and switching to the other when he fully charges. Never run back at the Billy while using his chainsaw in an attempt to juke him. As someone who mains him, I can tell you it just gives him an easy hit with autolock and will cause you to go down. If he revs up his chainsaw at a pallet, keep looping. Do not drop the pallet. He will break it instantly and if you are new, you most likely will be late on the timing and he'll hit you through the pallet. If the sound of the chainsaw seems to be getting closer after he hooks someone, drop whatever you are doing and run. He most likely has BBQ and Chili and knows where you are. The exception is if you are on a generator. You might still be able to walk away in time.
Nurse: This is the most viable killer in the game and there isn't a lot of counterplay here. Her blinks will hit you if you run predictably. Try to make her think that you are running for something, and when out of her field of view (such as being behind a wall) run the other way. If you are by a locker when she blinks, hop in the locker, and exit when her fatigue hits. Note that you won't have much time, and this should only be done if you are confident it won't screw you over or you have no other choice.Only other tip I can think of is to not heal in hear terror radius. She most likely has Nurse's Calling and can see you healing if you choose to heal inside of her terror radius.
Hag: The Hag has a lot of potential for counter, but can also catch you really fast if you aren't careful. Her 10 traps that she can place are seen on the ground and emit kind of a weird glowing dust. You can crouch to avoid triggering these traps or use a flashlight to destroy them. If a trap is triggered, she is most likely going to teleport to it and you should run to make sure you are safe instead of sorry. When it comes to chases, you might be screwed, but don't let her get anymore info.
Doctor: The Doctor is an incredibly weak killer but new players tend to struggle since they don't know how to counter his power as well. You want to pop your first tier of madness immediately that way he can't find you with it later. After that, it takes a certain amount of time to reach the next tier. This can be paused by hopping in a locker, but be careful not to stay there too long or you might get crows. After madness tier one, you can not go back. After two you cannot return to one. The only tier yo can get out of is three and return back to two. You can however, reduce the amount of madness in your current tier by not performing actions (this includes working on generators. you can only walk, run, move in general). When in tier three, and not in a chase, your main priority should be bringing yourself back to tier two. Do not fool around. Your items do not work in tier three, so don't waste time trying to flashlight blind at a pallet. You also cannot perform tasks while in tier three so don't waste time trying. If the doctor shocks you, you can't throw down pallets or vault windows for a short time. Don't be caught off guard by this. Otherwise, if this still doesn't help you, try playing Jake and using Calm Spirit which causes your screams to be masked which means you won't reveal your position.
Michael Myers a.k.a the Shape: Michael is a unique killer and is incredibly stealthy while in his lower tiers. At tier one he is immune to detection perks and aura reading perks so don't rely on Spine Chill or Object of Obsession to find him or know if he is watching you. In tier one he is slower and has a reduced lunge, but his terror radius is also really small. Always be vigilant. Look around while working on generators. He can be detected using directional sound and his loud footsteps/heavy breathing. If you hear the tier up music and you weren't paying attention, give a quick glance to make sure it wasn't you he was stalking. When he hits tier two, he is pretty much a normal killer. But DO NOT feed him his tier three. If he starts stalking, break his line of site by crouching/running behind objects. When he hits tier three, he can one hit down ALL of you. At base this will last for one minute. If he hooks someone, and he camps, do not go for the save until he is out of tier three. Never play overly altruistic against a tier three Michael. If you happen to be the unlucky one being chased, try to waste as much of his time as possible while using the least amount of pallets possible. Do not test your luck with the loops in tier three. He has a long lunge. He can and will hit you though the pallets.
Huntress: This killer is a pretty straightforward counter. Never run in a straight line. Always strafe left to right, It is a 50/50 chance that she will miss. If possible, duck behind an object to make sure the hatchet won't hit you. The has five hatchets at base, keep this in mind and remember how many she has left so you won't be caught off guard while attempting to loop. Never throw a pallet down while she has hatchets left and is charging it up. Always throw the pallet down a bit earlier to make sure she won't hit you with the hatchet while you are doing so. Don't hop into lockers while playing against a Huntress. She resupplies her hatchets in lockers so there is a chance you could be found in a locker that she didn't even know you were in simply because she needed hatchets.
Leatherface a.k.a. The Cannibal: Leatherface's chainsaw is super sluggish at base, and unless he is right behind you, the chance of you outrunning it are pretty high. If you want to make sure you are safe, run to a pallet or window. If a pallet or window is not around, try running around and object. Sometime autolock will cause them to hit the object or they will hit it while turning to hit you and it will stun them giving you time to run. Only other tip I can think of is whenever he hooks someone, hop in a locker seconds before and when they are hooked, count to four seconds and continue with whatever you were doing. This will counter BBQ and Chili which he is most likely running since it is his perk.
Freddy Krueger a.k.a. The Nightmare: Freddy just got a rework, and if you play on PC I got no tips for him since I don't play on PC. Considering he is being reworked and the patch goes live for everyone in a bout two weeks, I'm gonna save me some time and skip his section.
Pig: Just like with Wraith and other stealth killers, Spine Chill is your friend. The roar means that she is about to dash and you should run. You can try to avoid the dash by getting to a pallet,. You might make it if you get lucky. Otherwise, be vigilant so you can leave before she can get the drop on you. If she puts a reverse bear trap on your head, it doesn't become a threat until a generator is popped so I recommend searching one or two boxes just in case and then going back to work o a gen. It will only insta-kill you in the doors if the timer is active. Hatch will not affect the timer.
Clown: Not gonna lie, I don't have much for this one. If his bottles are used correctly, he can get a hit off regardless. Similar to the Huntress, try to to run in obvious patterns. Don't expect loops that work on other killers to work on Clown. He will slow you and ultimately catch up.
Spirit: The best tip for playing against a Spirit is to listen for the passive phasing sound. This will tell you if she is actually phasing, or if she is trying to mind game and is just standing there. If you hear her phasing, assume that she is coming to your gen just in case and leave. If she didn't come towards you you can get on it afterwards. She can't see scratch marks while she is phasing so the best thing to do is to stop running and walk away. This will work in most cases, assuming the killer doesn't run into you (because she does still have collision) or they don't have their headset up at ma volume to hear your footsteps. Keep in mind this won't work if you're injured because you have groans of pain. If you are injured and she is phasing, get to a pallet window, or anything to save you from being hit.
Legion: Legion is pretty much useless in his current state. Deep wound is a joke. Just loop them until you go down or lose them. If they apply deep wound, do not mend until their terror radius is completely gone. Mend will not go down while you are within the terror radius. Use this time to work on gens. Once you mend, don't bother healing since they will just reapply deep wound. Focus on getting the gens done and getting out.
Plague: The Plague is the killer that is the easiest to counter. Simply don't cleanse yourself and she become an M1 killer. When you don't cleanse you remain injured, but if you can loop it won't matter If someone does cleanse (your will know because there is an audio indication) cleanse as fast as possible. You do not want to be one shot when she has a projectile that can inflict damage.
Ghostface: Like all other stealth killers, Spine Chill will be useful in helping you know when Ghostface is stalking you. Otherwise, keep a close eye out. You have to be the most vigilant with Ghostface, since he can lean around corners. Don't try to pull him out of stealth right away. Just break the line of sight so he can't expose you. If he does expose you. Try to find a safe loop where you can waste out that exposed effect. If you don't pay attention you will be caught with your pants down on a gen which will lead to a quick death that game.

It will be the 23rd of July at the earliest for the mid chapter patch release.
-
Leatherface is my immediate pick. He doesn't have a lot going for him. He has an instadown, but the chainsaw is rather sluggish without add-ons and survivors can typically outrun it. It also seems to pull towards trees and other objects. Not really given pressure on anything via his power either.

Enduring was "buffed", it's time was supposed to be 1 second but instead is 1.2 seconds, the devs were notified but it is dumb truly.
Legion's only REALLY good perk is Discordance, the other two are situational.
Assuming that you used buff in a sarcastic manor, yes it was more of a nerf than anything. Pallet stuns take longer to recover from than they did before which is bad considering it now only affects pallet stuns. I could see removing its affect on everything else for balance but I think this was a bit much.

Though i'd prefer to see some bottom Perks be raised instead.

Monstrous Shrine should definitely be reworked. Right now it's kind of a joke.

Well hopefully with dedicated servers this wont be an issue and killer names can be displayed again
Dedicated servers won't do anything about dodging lobbies, only disconnecting. Killer names aren't displayed because it would lead to further increased queue times as everyone stated. You can't tell someone how to play their games. If they want to play toxic, you bite the bullet and just move on to the next match.

It's eh tier, I find Bitter Murmur to be super OP on him, anything information sensitive like Surveillance, Discordance, Nurse's, the mix.
My build was Ruin, Enduring, BBQ and Chili, and the last perk varied but was typically Nurse's. I think I'm just gonna try out all my other perks on him that I never use. Haunted Ground seems decent. Would use Discordance, but I never bothered to level up the disgrace of a killer to get it.

God I can't wait for dedicated servers and the mass banning of players like you. Hope BHVR will finally prove serious about it. Crossing fingers...
I was waiting for someone to tell him how this new banning system will screw him over. Found that person. Good job mate!

I still think the hatch should need to have at least 2 generators done because right now you could get a 4k with survivors having done nothing, but no, they're rewarded for being bad.
Yeah, I agree there should be some effort required. The problems with that are, it would make endgame collapse completely pointless, and it would cause another hatch standoff. The survivor wouldn't try to do gens but instead crouch around the outside of the map which ultimately wastes everyone's time in the end.
-
Title. I'll start. I finally got my first character to P3 today. Lucky Man is Lucky Ace.
Hey! It's my P3 Ace brother! I had Ace as my first prestige three survivor as well. Perks are garbage, but you always seem to have luck on your side.
-
As a console player, I can confirm this is sad but true
-
I run Self-Care, because I've learned that everyone else is unreliable, Dead Hard, because I can activate it at choice in a dire situation, Adrenaline, so it helps if I'm in a chase or need to focus on gens instead of healing and the last perk varies but right now is breakdown, so I know if I'm about to get tunnelled
-
This is just.......terrible. Not as bad as the wake up glitch but still pretty bad. You might as well announce it so devs can fix it because you can find many videos on YouTube of content creators directly stating how to do it. You can't really do this accidentally, so if you exploit this you deserve to be banned.
-
Here is a massive con: We don't have an end game chat on console compared to PC, so people come to your inbox when they get salty and message you.
-
Honestly, DS is fine where it's at. It punishes the killer for tunneling and going after one person in specific. It can no longer be abused by either side. The 60 second timer is good at making sure the killer doesn't go after you and if he does, reminds him that it was a mistake. As someone suggested before, I could see a nerf to the stun time in the future now that enduring won't effect decisive but that is the only change I could see justified. You asked for what we used to have, and there is a reason why things were changed.
-
My only problem is that I get spotted through walls and objects due to the 3rd person camera and not in a chase. Same applies when I'm on the survivor side. Your power is not everything. If someone breaks you out, utilize the killer instinct to hunt them down and hook them. Then utilize cover and stalk someone as best you can until they notice you. Survivors will always be able to sneak up behind you. You gotta be quicker with hiding if you see the detection meter, and if there really is no other option, except defeat and enter a chase.
-
When I can play a killer at purple and red ranks without add-ons higher than yellow or add-ons period. Also when I can play a killer without having to sweat against the survivors.

@Crazewtboy It's just we had ONE thing that made having it on PS4 at least more bearable. Now we're losing that. And if you prestige one character they'll be gone again. Also now the shrine will start having those perks too, which will be frustrating.
Well then I guess don't prestige the character. I don't know how to help you with that. My best advice would be save up blood points and get him to level 40 the second he comes out so it isn't a problem. I just don't see it as a downgrade to the game. It didn't make anything any less bearable to me. I get on the game to play with my friends and have some fun and I don't mind having to unlock everything again. I can see how you feel it is a major punch in the gut to console to an extent though. I guess what it all boils down to is whether you have wanted the character or not (and if you have a prestige 3 character with all Bill's perks already because in that case you don't need to prestige them)

Yes! I don't get the urge of getting the mori as soon as they're unhooked! You get more bloodpoints if you focus the rescuer and if the other guy has the bad luck to run into you later on THEN you do the mori, if they rage or send hate messages you can answer "how are you complaining, I gave you a chance to keep fighting for your life when I didn't tunnel you to insta mori"
I typically don't do it because I have been on the short end of the stick many of times and know how terrible it feels. The only time it might get me is when a survivor got cocky and decided to be toxic. At that point I don't care about my points, it becomes my personal mission to kill that survivor and deflate their ego.
-
I have to note, there is other add-ons that you can use with the tombstones. J Myers Memorial will increase the amount of stalk you earn from everyone instead of JUST your obsession which will make it easier to get to your tier three. This is the optimal add-on to run with the tombstones or the tuft of hair. Also, you can run both Tuft of Hair and Judith's tombstone together, but I only recommend it if you know a good bit on how to play Michael. You must know how to use the add-ons effectively in order to get the 3 or 4 kills with that combo
-
At least everyone else has some use out of their power. The only other person directly countered in Plague by not cleansing. Leatherface is low tier by lack of map pressure but he still has an insta-down, Clown has good chase potential and Trapper can make loops unusable. I do agree though that this rework was terrible. He needed counterplay but christ they practically killed them.

Also, for Auric cell purchases i think you contact BHVR support directly. I suggested the refund because i thought it would do something and it is harmless.
Yeah, I figured out they weren't good. Just thought I'd see if there were any ways around his major weaknesses, but apparently not considering just how many weaknesses he has.

Everyone is complaining about his perks but personally I don't mind it. The mod already said that you can still use it on other characters if you have it. Some people want to play Bill, it's okay for you to not like him being added but it's not okay for people to say he shouldn't be added just because they don't feel like working for his perks. It will come out July 23rd at the earliest. If you want his perks without leveling him up then get it before that date.

People just stereotype that survivors run their teachables. Unbreakable and Borrowed Time are quite .... interesting to deal with.
Oh, yeah I can agree with that. Borrowed Time I don't mind too much, but Unbreakable really sucks if I leave someone on the ground because someone is trying to flashlight save.

We still have fantasy stuff in DBD such as the Wraith cloaking, but if what you say is accurate, it seems like TOO MUCH fantasy for the game. I think if they are going to do licensed characters they should stick to popular movies like they have been doing so far that most people have seen and enjoy such as Halloween, Nightmare on Elm Street, Saw, etc. I've seen other people suggest ideas from slasher movies that other people have seen. But even if they don't go through with those suggestions, the option for original characters is always there and personally I like the original characters better. They aren't restricted to whatever was displayed in a movie.
