I'd adore seeing Until Dawn get included but, sadly, unless BHVR has some absolute magical negotiation powers up their selves it just isn't going to happen seeing as how, well, it's a Sony property. Sony is notoriously stingy when it comes to sharing anything(when it comes to their exclusive games) so, sadly, I just can't see it happening, as much as I want to see it.
-
Fun fact, the female zombie DOES actually have a name(well, a official fan name), her name is Misty! :) She's been with RE for quite some time.
The male zombie though... nah, nothing, not even a largely agreed upon fan name. So, I just simply call him Bob.
-
The Thing has always been in my top 5 most wanted chapters for DBD(number 5) and I’ll always enjoy seeing some more love for that movie and just how people could make it work in their vision. :)
-
I don't care that this is in the "lore" section, I want it pinned in general discussion ASAP. xD
-
I'm not saying they should or shouldn't do this but, I will say this. If this WERE to happen then I hope everyone will be okay with having a LOT more licensed content because they'd need to bring back a lot of players with big "main" content gaps. It sucks to say this but, we the community would love to see really big gameplay/general heath updates but the general public? Nope, the general public couldn't care less, they just like seeing whatever new "main" content get added, ESPECIALLY if it's licensed, then they play for a bit and leave it until the next chapter.
That said though, I wouldn't mind this, I actually prefer the licensed content in general and I REALLY want to see some big shakeups and changes in the future. One of the big ones is just having good stability across all platforms but, seeing as how optimization has basically been a issue since the start of DBD, I think that's going to be a never-ending battle. One small change that I've wanted ever since I started playing back in 2017 is just... please, remove perk tiers at this point. It would be such a good health update for new players so they don't feel overwhelmed right from the start and hate the grind.
-
I haven't watched it but Parasyte looks like a very interesting show and I wouldn't mind seeing that come in.
For those who want a joke/meme answer though... Godzilla Singular Point. ;)
-
yes
-
They will probably never unlink licensed sets due to the IP holders specifically asking them to make them linked sets. They want their characters to be represented in a certain way and BHVR must follow their requests.

Victor has nothing to do with Jeepers Creepers now
Sorry but I personally don't care, the series is tainted for me(never liked it even before I knew all about Victor) and I'll never support it.
-
Yup, I agree with all of these. Some are definitely higher up on my want list but, I'd like to have a LOT of licenses get into DBD. The one and only exception is Jeepers Creepers, ######### that franchise. :)
-
Not saying good things hasn't come out of Slender((it has some cool games and lore) but, this would be a "meh" for me if it got added.
-
The chapter itself and it's contents is one of the best we've ever gotten. Now, the patch on the other hand... BOY OH BOY, what even happened?
-
I don't necessarily care too much about Candyman(the first movie was good though) I must admit, I'd love to see Tony Todd in DBD. So, wouldn't care too much about the IP itself but I'd be happy with Tony.
-
Nope, he’s honestly pretty balanced.

Well of all times me and you have played here are the worst maps (for survivor)
• Midwich. Needs no explanation.
• Shelter Woods aka boulders and trees the map.
• Rotten Fields. I mean it isn’t bad but it’s nothing but open corn. So killers like Oni, Blight, and Huntress have a field day.
Every other map is fine except I personally hate the other three indoors maps but The Game is chock full of safe pallets. Lery’s has good pallets and is vault heaven. Hawkins is uhhh....not the worst map ever? But it’s so boring because all the pallets are unsafe so you just pre drop them.
I know that @Cornpopers_Evan will say that he LOVES Haddonfield though. Best map ever.
NO, STOP! Had-no-fun is terrorbad!
-
Oh boy, here comes Mr. Licensed chit-chatter at it again! xD
Seriously though, there's still lots of possibilities! At least according to the last few survey's they have begun to narrow things down but we're still left with heavy hitters from all sorts of media. From Alien, The Thing, Chucky, Hellraiser and of course, F13 to name a few for movies. FNAF, The Evil Within, Outlast and Dead Space for games and even Spawn for comics. That's just the tip of the iceberg so, yeah, I feel like they still got lot's of rabbits to pull out from their hats! ;)
-
I'm probably going to do a combo of Jill and Nemesis and once those two are 50, I'll be prestiging them and will get them to P3 and then work on Leon.
-
Can't really say because it deals with cough leaks cough but, let's just say that Laurie got a bit of a glow-up. :D
-
Well, let's just say, something happened today and um, 100% licensed characters(up to probably the Silent Hill chapter) will be getting reworks.
-
Nemesis without a single doubt, oh and also, GET THE ######### OUTTA HERE @MegMain98!
-
To get straight to the point on this one. Disney is notorious for not wanting to do collabs unless THEY themselves approach whoever they want to work with first. Then, of course, the price tag would probably be insanely huge but, with all that being said, it's a maybe. It would just take a lot of work.
Now, IT is sadly a different story. Stephen King just does not see any value in crossing over video games in general. Now, not saying it's not impossible but, just... very unlikely because of King's stinginess with his licenses.
-
Both incredibly fun to play as and against and is quite good once you fully grasp his power and know what to do with it. Overall, probably my new favorite killer to play, sorry Demodoggo. ;_;

Alright, so, I'm going to break this down from the last time they allowed us to pick from license options on a survey. This will be both what I think is possible and also what I'd thoroughly enjoy seeing and then I'll break it down as to why I think these are probably the choices but also some drawbacks with each. Be warned, LONG post coming because I have a LOT to say on licenses.
Movies- Alien, Candyman, F13, IT, The Thing, Chucky and PumpkinHead(This one I think isn't on there radar but I just want)
Anime- Parasyte
Video Games- Five Nights at Freddy's, Dead Space, Bioshock, The Evil Within
Comics- Spawn and Hellboy
Alright, time for the long part. So, when it comes to the movie picks I still personally there's a lot going on there. The most likely out of them, to me, is probably both Alien and Candyman, leaning more towards Candyman though. There was just SO MUCH evidence for awhile pointing towards a CM chapter but then, well, COVID happened and it messed everything up. So, who knows, they could simply be holding onto this one for when it's closer to the films time of release. Alien is a very tricky one. It's one of the most asked for chapters and it would be such a cool chapter but... Disney. Disney would probably ask for a ludicrous amount of money for this IP and I'm just not sure BHVR would go for it with that kind of price tag. We all know by now the situation with F13 so I won't really comment on that but IT is in a very rocky situation. They've actually gone for IT once but were declined and well, sadly, Stephen King just does not see any gain when it comes to doing crossovers with video games. The guy just doesn't care about them and he holds his IP's very close to the chest. The Thing would be a incredibly unique pick if just for the killer alone and I feel like John Carpenter would be ok with it but, Universal just doesn't seem to want to do anything with the franchise as of right now. Chucky actually has quite a decent shot of getting in, he's still quite popular and, now with Victor, the size of him isn't really that big of a deal anymore so, could def see him eventually.
I must admit, I haven't watch much anime but, from what I've seen, Parasyte seems like quite a interesting one. It's basically a "thing" inspired anime but if the "things" had a actual minds. The problem though is that, again, from what I've seen, there isn't really a main "enemy" in the series but lots of the same species fighting each other. Though, maybe that could work in their favor because that means that they could just grab one that was decently popular and they'd do just fine.
Oh boy, where do I start here. As much as I adore Dead Space, heartbreakingly, EA are asshats and would probably be insanely stingy with this one. Bioshock and Evil Within both have surprisingly solid chances. I feel like with Evil Within Bethesda would like the series to keep on growing as much as they possibly could make it and they've got great choices for both killer and survivors ranging from Sebastian himself to The Keeper as a killer and Bioshock is no different. Bioshock has always had a bit of a horror element to it(mainly the first game) and with a new game coming out sometime in the future, it would be a great marketing move on both parts.
Now, let's address FNAF because, yes, I think it has a VERY good chance. Just the simple fact that it's been mentioned in two or three out of the surveys should tell anyone that they have it on their radar and with the new challenge playfully being named "Spring the Trap" they're clearly hinting at it. Does it sound like a stretch, a bit, but the crates that had Umbrellas on the side imo, where hinting at the RE chapter for quite awhile and I think it's especially true because in the RE PTB those logos where replaced with another one. Now, the real big problem here is well, Scott Cawthon, the creator of FNAF is VERY protective of his franchise. He wants to basically oversee everything that is going on with collaborations with his franchise to make sure it's all ok to him and I'm not sure BHVR would want to play that kind of ball game. It's one thing to have license holders check their work every once and awhile but to have someone constantly wanting to check things out to make sure everything would be alright would probably get aggravating very quickly. Another issue people bring up is the survivor, there's just not a well established human in the franchise until SB coming out. That's why I think it would probably be one of those "weird" chapters. A chapter that doesn't include a survivor but a Killer and a map which would be alright to me. Other arguments I see brought up a lot is that the games wouldn't fit into DBD or that they wouldn't want that community mixed with DBD because it's "toxic" and to both of those I saw... really? The community part, well, let's be real here, every community has it's rotten apples and I don't think that should mean that you should just completely throw it away because, trust me, DBD's community def has some VERY bad applies in it. For the whole "doesn't fit" argument, well, actually, quite a bit fits in DBD. Ranging from shirtless David's, elf Dwight's all the way to pink elephant Clown's and the entirety of Trickster. The real big argument and it's a very solid one is, what would his power be but to that I say, well, Pyramid Head it. Just do something crazy with him with Scott's blessing of course.
Comics wise, don't have much to say really. Both Spawn and Hellboy have very good picks for everything. if I got that choice I'd personally pick the Spawn franchise but, that's just me.
Well, like I said, props to anyone who reads through this and yeah, I'll say it again, I've got a lot to say on licenses! lol

Well I hope to also see you in the fog when we play.
Yup, it's only a matter of time! xD
-
We need to play some more at some point @Boosted_Dwight! But, I've basically made a lot of friends and played with a LOT of forums members before. Ranging from @Almo, @NeverEnoughCaffeine, @MegMain98, @Unicorn, @GrootDude, @Mushwin, @JawsIsTheNextKiller, @Fibijean and quite a few more that I sadly just can't remember currently. :(
-
Oh yeah, they've got literally ALL my money once this chapter drops! I'll be buying the chapter and all the cosmetics on my PS account(main account) and I'll probably re-buy the chapter again on my PC account, let's just say, I couldn't be any more hyped for this chapter. This is the best one they've released since Silent Hill. :D
-
Well, the female zombie does actually have a name like @Digwiid pointed out, her name is MIsty! :D The male though, I don't know... I'll just call him Jim!
-
I do understand where you're coming from but I couldn't disagree more. It was fun playing as and against Nemesis, I'm thrilled with seeing Jill and Leon be introduced and I, honestly, do like the map although, yeah, it's def on the large side. Also, when it comes to zombies being map dependent, I honestly didn't see it all too much, they were in general, pretty darn good. That said though, I did use both quite a bit of speed and detection addons for my zombs which helped quite a lot. This is probably my new favorite chapter they've made so far for DBD, knocking Stranger Things off the pedestal for me.
-
Oh 100%!
-
My top three favs are probably the Resident Evil chapter, the Stranger Things one and then Silent Hill.
My least fav would have to go to Saw. Never cared about the franchise(still don't) and while Pig can be fun to play, I still just don't really feel the want to play her. Saw is just the most "meh" I've ever felt over a licensed chapter.
-

Now that the Hysteria for the chapter has died down a bit, I can be honest and say it's brought a Resurgence of interest to the game for me. As such, I'll probably Bite the Bullet and buy it.
Some Pursue with Lethal force that their favorite characters weren't included, but I'm sure there will be an Eruption of joy if they add Legendary skins to include them. That's my Counterforce to their concerns anyway, as it would be like stepping on a Blast Mine for Behaviour not to consider doing it.
Maybe optimism has blinded my viewpoint more than a Flashbang, but I've got that Rookie Spirit feeling from when I first started playing this game. Especially with the introduction of Zombies, which makes me think they're going to consider other environmental obstacles or other objectives in the future.
Alright, you win the "comment of the day" award for that one! lol

It really wasn't a shock for who the characters were gonna be honestly, it your someone like me who spent a good amount of time speculating this coming chapter, it really wasn't a shock
Well, something that also really put a HUGE nail in any sort of speculation was, well, insider info was given to LBD and I know they're not always right but... this time they were so it basically killed the speculation scene, sadly, was really enjoying all the speculation going on.

I love the Resident Evil chapter. The new map is cool and fun for me to play on. I think Nemesis is in a really good spot.
My thoughts on their other announcements:
- Happy to hear about Boon: Totems. They seem interesting.
- Moris being integrated into the gameplay, rather than an offering is worrying, but exciting.
- I look forward to the Key changes (even though we know literally nothing about it).
- Disappointed that their plan for addressing the balance of killers is that they will be addressing the balance of new killers, rather than existing ones (at least that's what it seems like Matt said). We still have a handful of killers who seriously need some tuning.
- Adding relief into the game environments is something I welcome with open arms. The game does look really artificial, so hopefully varied terrain fixes this.
I think that was everything notable, I could be wrong though.
To be honest, I'd have to go back and re-watch the stream because they dropped a LOT of info in there. Also, 100% agree on your whole consensus on the RE chapter, love everything about the chapter although, must admit, the map is a bit on the big side. The other thing is, yeah, getting mori's into core gameplay has me both excited and worried. I'm REALLY hoping it isn't just the old "oh, just have the final survivor be able to be killed if you've hooked them twice" like I've seen suggested. Oh, also, of course, the key changes I'm looking very much forward to.
-
As one person said, honestly, no, I feel like two zombies are honestly fine for the most part and they've worked out super well for me on both outdoor and indoor maps.
-
I would prefer the recently turned players to be able to control them but, that could raise some issues so, I wouldn't mind seeing this what so ever! :D
-
Just to throw my hat in the ring, I'm hoping to see Jill and Leon as the survivors and, of course, Nemesis as the killer.
Also, I don't want to get anyone up in arms but... according to certain rumors there's, apparently, no new map found within the code. That said though, I TRULY hope there's a new map in here because going over a year without any new maps included is just, woof and not only just that but not getting a RE location would be a BIG missed opportunity. If we do get a map, it'll probably be either the Spencer Mansion or the RPD.
-
I'm going to say that the survivors will possibly be Jill and Leon and Nemesis will come as the killer.
-
Boy do I hope so! Saved up over a million bloodpoints for it! xD
-
One small thing I hope for is the removal of the perk tires. Grinding out for all tier three perks on characters is just crazy. Plus, I think it would be a much better playing field for any newcomers into DBD, that they don't have to worry about all the different tier attributes if they were removed.
A couple more things I'm hoping to see are the early game collapse(I know it's evolved into a entirely different thing internally but we don't know the actual name yet) very interested to see what becomes of that and I'm just hoping to see some rank and devotion rewards to come in.
My big pie in the sky wish is a new gamemode but, honestly, not getting my hopes up too much for that one.
-
Demo main for sure... although, when the RE dlc comes out, depending on the killer, Demo is probably going to take a backseat for awhile.
-
Pallet vacuums... I still have the nightmares!

Boy do I hope so, I don’t want to put my eggs into that unverified leak basket but, man, if this chapter really does have Jill, Leon and Nemesis as the characters then, that’s it, take all my money because that’s the absolute DREAM for me.
It also really does make sense when you look at it. Leon is without a doubt a fan fav to the point that some say he’s the face of the RE franchise and then you have Jill, a absolute classic(plus my favorite Re survivor) and is even regarded as one of the best female characters in gaming. You also pointed out that Leon and Jill has seemingly been used a lot for crossovers so, maybe does are the survivors Capcom is the most willing to lend out? Then, honestly, Nemesis is Nemesis, he’s probably THEE most iconic and most remembered monster in the franchise. Not only that but, Capcom adores to put him into crossovers, if something calls for a RE villain then expect Nemesis to be first in line! xD

Oh well then who is he?
He’s another STARS member from the original RE game that, occasionally, pops up every now and again. His most recent playable appearance was from RE Revelations 2 though. He’s also extremely well known because he brought about one of the most unintentionally hilarious lines in the entire RE franchise that’s even still occasionally joked about to this day.

To be fair, we don't really know how reliable those "rumors" are or where they actually came from, I would have to see something concrete before I believe it, we all know how rumors go
Yeah, even THEY said that they’re iffy on the info so I’m not getting my hopes up too high but, must admit, if it does turn out to be true then this will be my favorite chapter in DBD yet.
-
Well, let’s just say according to VERY recent umm, let’s just say cough rumors cough, we might, sadly, already know the characters coming in the next chapter but, I won’t say because, I understand that some may not want to hear it.
-
As much as I’d even LOVE a classic and cryptic dev tweet, no, I don’t think we’ll even receive that this week. Which, honestly, I don’t mind but the anticipation is KILLING me. ;_;
-
So, I forgot to mention a couple more things about Nemesis that I should bring up, sorry, I would edit my go comment but it’s a pain to edit on mobile. :(
Anyways, like Mr. X, Nemesis can also bust through things but with even more ease like brick walls are just thin layers of tissue paper but the BIG thing I forgot to mention is he has multiple mutations he goes through but, like Lady D and X, I just don’t see them making it in. Even if DBD’s Nemesis was basically a combination of the original and remake because in the original, his stage 2 isn’t anywhere near as drastic as the one in the remake. WARNING! HUGE SPOILERS BELOW!
-
In a very general sense, yes, all three of these characters do kind of fit the same archetype. Basically, being obstacles that either make you move along or block pathways making you have to find other ways. Were I think most people are looking at the differences between the three are the tools they have to, well, kill you.
Mr. X, as much as I love him and he’s great in the RE2 remake, he’s probably arguably the most plain one out of the three. His main aspects in the RE2 remake are, he’s durable, can break and bust through things with relative ease and has a lunge attack that takes a bit to charge up until he SPOILERS mutates into a Super Tyrant but, I can’t see them adding that aspect. That’s, sadly, really about it though, oh, and he’s also fashionable as well!
Lady D kinda falls into the same spot as Mr. X, she, honestly, doesn’t have much to play around with. She’s got even MORE durability then Mr. X and even Nemesis, seriously, nothing much hurts or stuns her for long and she’s got claws that are about 4 or 5 feet each. Like I said though, that’s really about it until well... SPOILERS, SERIOUSLY! She mutates into a giant dragon monster.
Nemesis has definitely the most tools at his disposal, some would even argue TOO many. He can sprint, leap, use his tentacles in a variety of ways, chuck things, has two weapons he can use being the rocket launcher and flamethrower, has a roar ability and, probably the two biggest ones that I could definitely see being a part of a power, he can infect people with the T-Virus(a virus that transforms people into zombies) and he can infect zombies with parasites that make them more of a threat to go against. Yeah, like I said, he’s got a LOT to play with.
Personally, the whole argument of “they just walk towards your character and try’s to kill them” is not a very good one because... it’s something that they all try and do.
