Exactly, not only this but, Steam has a ZERO tolerance policy on games that support NFT's so, this could already turn a normal sized mountain of a situation into a Mount Everest sized situation. This, just in general, was not ok to look at and say "yes" to because, ironically enough, looking at it from a business perspective, could make them end up LOSEING more money then actually gaining more.

Look, I understand that it was most likely a contract agreement that they had to make in order to get Hellraiser into the game(both the NFT itself and to say something positive about it) but, still, I sincerely wished that they could've looked at what Park Avenue was doing and simply said "no, we'll wait until Clive takes back the license". I get that they're still a company and, ultimately, everything comes back down to "how much money can we make" but this, THIS is just NOT the ok way to go about things.

I know this is a older post but, I wanted to put my take in here as well. So, honestly, BHVR walks a VERY thin line with any licenses they work with. As we've seen now with Stranger Things, anything can(sadly) happen with a license property. Even with the recent Hellraiser DLC, they've made a deal with Park Avenue Entertainment BUT, as a lot of people know, the IP is going back to Clive this December which could cause complications and, to add even further complications, the international rights for the franchise is up in the air as well and, as of now, it's looking like it could go to the company rather then Clive. I really hope this doesn't become a situation in the future for BHVR but, we'll just have to wait and see. So, again, no matter what, licenses are a very big risk no matter what it is.
I also just want to make a few things clear, yes, Scott is indeed planning on giving the IP to someone he trusts and it's looking like there's two possibilities with that. Either, he's just going to simply give it to Steel Wool or, if he doesn't want to hand it to a company, he may be waiting on for all the Fanverse initiative games to be released and to see which gains the publicity and respect from people and giving that specific individual the keys to his franchise. Also, I REALLY don't think he's going to be changing his mind, I believe Scott was planning on either retiring later this year or next year anyways because, with his past couple of comments he's made it just had a aura of "I'm kinda tired of this". The biggest thing I should mention though is that, though Scott WILL be handing over his IP to whomever or whatever, he'll still be there. If I was to put it into percentages, Scott right now is 100% involved and working on finishing up things(SB and the movie) but, when he hands it over, he'll basically only be, at tops, 5%. He'll basically be there to be asked "is this straying to far from your franchise?" or "do you think we should go this route or take this deal"?
Another thing that has been brought up and was even mentioned above is, of course, what LBD said. I won't go into too much detail on that because, let's be honest, a LOT of what they say is complete speculation or just, outright, wrong. That said, though, I'll give them this, whatever source they have that told them the RE chapter was going to be Jill, Leon and Nemesis did turn out to be 100% correct and apparently that's who is giving them this info but, even then, I must agree that they've lost a LOT of trust to the point they have almost none. Even if it is true and they are now actively seeking to partner with FNAF the earliest we'll be seeing it is next anniversary.
Anyways, I hope this has helped clear up some things and, well, sorry if it does the opposite. Like I said, I know this is a bit old but, just wanted to throw my two cents in and I hope that you have a wonderful day. :)

Oh, trust me, I've, sadly, seen it on places like Discord, Twitter, YouTube and even the forums quite a decent bit. Then again, I guess that's just bound to happen whenever there's licensed characters involved. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I'll just be brutally honest, I don't care at all on WHO people wanted but seeing the community at each-other's throats was really just kinda sad to watch and a bit pathetic. :/
Anyways, I'm more about spreading positivity, we can all use a bit more of that(the forums especially seeing as how so many people act like children) and, I want anyone who sees this comment to, please, don't loose your hope for certain characters because, who knows what that can hold. To be honest, if certain characters have a lot of following and hype behind them, BHVR will probably try to acquire them to make those people happy.

Hey, I just wanted to give another possible update to this. McLean announced on his twitter that there's going to be a announcement on his stream at 9pm eastern time. This might be just something in his personal life but it could ALSO be something with the upcoming release. We'll see at 9 though. :)

So, we now have two words that we can put together, “RAISE HELL.” So, yeah, this basically 99.9% confirms Hellraiser which, personally, couldn’t care less but, as I always say, to all the people who want it, congratulations, I’m happy for you. :)

Honestly, everything has pointed in so many directions that I'm just outright confused now. xD
I will say though, there's one big problem with the Hellraiser theory, it's also in a legal battle like F13. @TheMadCat did a quick google search and found that Clive will be gaining the US rights back to Hellraiser in December of 2021 BUT, after a bit more research, the international copyright for Hellraiser is still up in the air and is very unclear who will actually be in control on that front. So, pretty big complications going on with that license currently but, maybe they SOMEHOW pulled some absolute magic to acquire it? Though, that begs the question, would they want to deal with the possible legal hassle further down the line? I just don't know anymore. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Clive Barker will finally own the U.S. rights to the Hellraiser film and script by Dec. 19, 2021, although it's unclear who will own foreign rights. -

Yeah, that's the biggest hole in the Hellraiser theory right now, I guess MAYBE BHVR just wanted to get the IP as quick as possible before the rights turnover? Then again, we would you want to run the risk of having him possibly either say "hey, give me more money for allowing Hellraiser to stay in DBD." or "hey, I don't want this in the game anymore, take it out"? No matter what, yup, you're right, we'll see!

The thing is: many people, including me, have been looking for a sense on the letters we've been recieving through images that DBD released on their social media; putting them in different orders to try to complete a name or a title of the upcoming chapter 21. Names like "Springtrap", "Candyman", "Pennywise" or the mont fitting one currently: "Hellraiser", have been got from the achieved letters ( I - S - A - R - E ...).
But... thinking coldly, why would they make it so easy and obvious to guess when there's still a week left till the official reveal? And thinking about "Hellraiser"... why would it be promoted through images which are casually them all taken in Crotus Prenn Realm? Being honest, we still don't have any evidence it's going to be a licenced Chapter, so we can expect anything :).
By the way, my theory is mainly related to another picture they released recently in DBD's Twitter account; a picture of an in-game perk they uploaded as a part of a joke. The theory may be CONFIRMED or REFUSED as soon as we get another letter, and it's the next:
What it the letters "I S A R E..." are actually building the sentence: "IS A RE(d herring)" which could be meaning it's all a bait to distract us from the real teasers? What if they are just teasing the true content by another side while we all are focusing on those letters which are baiting us? They could even be kinda revealing us the actual power of the upcoming killer, which could be a sort of baiting hability... who knows :)?

I can honestly see this as a possibility but, at least, for now, it just seems like the teasers are the ones that are directly in front of us such as the letters and certain strange qualities. Like Ace being trapped inside a metal cage and the nail being in the knife throwing board. That said though, it would be a classic BHVR move to put all that info in-front of us to then sweep the rug from under us.

Hmmm, I'm still wondering then if that means they're still "working things out" and it's on ice atm or is it technically "done" and he can do what he pleases with it?

Maybe my info is outdated but, isn't the Hellraiser franchise in kind of the same court battle as the F13 one? Clive is trying to get the full rights back from whatever studio owns those rights but they won't budge? Like I said though, that could be outdated at this point.

I'd love to see Alien but, if the rumors are true and it's JUST a killer for now as a paragraph, I'd much prefer it to be a full blown chapter so we could get Ellen Ripley as a survivor. However, if this is the only way they could actually get the Xeno into DBD then, so be it! :D

I just want to say that, yes, there is indeed "SOMETHING" in the background of the first image but, it could be just a simple crow.

There’s been a few killers who I booped. Pig of course being the prime one, Ghostface on occasion let me boop the mask and Demo allowed me to give him head scratchies! :D

It was terrible pre-buff, but with his 3 second reload speed you can actually use it to help you reload during a chase a lot more easily. Picture it like Deathslinger reloading.
I don’t think it’s necessary at all but corkscrew is also nice if you just want a even FASTER reload to help stay in chases as well.

Certainly, I just hope that they have the same values as hex totems and that you have to earn the rewards in some way. Since I think Devour is one of the best executed hex perks, I hope that’s what they’re taking some inspiration from.

Gladly old MoM got nerfed kinda fast. I assume if the boons end up being a little OP they'll nerf accordingly like they did MoM. Hopefully won't get them like MoM though, 3 protection hits my butt.
I’m worried that one of them will be something like, “ be within 10 meters of the boon totem while being chased and if you get hit within the 10 meter radius you gain the endurance status effect.” I agree though, hopefully they’d be able to fix them ASAP but, with the console certification process, who knows.

I still personally use it as "do NOT come for me, killer is camping me, go do gens or something." Sadly though, that gesture has become so wishy washy that it doesn't really have a meaning anymore. :(

They are very handy but, I personally like the cigar box and the one purple addon that increases the invigorated effect considerably. If I want memes though, VHS porn and confetti bottles. :D

I've got a feeling that whoever the next survivor is might come with the boon totems and I'm VERY curious to see how they act. I'm just a bit worried that they could be a bit to powerful, I still have nightmares about old MoM. ;_;

When I first started reading this I thought you were about to say a person on twitter was going to talk about how Candyman if he was included should be like the size of Hag or Victor or something! xD
To answer your question though, boy do I HATE Victor so, at this point, my viewpoint might be a tad bit soured on any future short killers like Chucky and beyond.
