I have extreme compassion for other Survivors (I have it if I'm the Killer, too ~_~ RIP my Rank). I always try to help others escape and they appreciate it. I don't escape all the time but I sure try to help others get out. I get the most enjoyment playing this way, so it makes me happy, and them too! I suppose it's all relative.
-
I use Lithe, not Sprint Burst. I don't use Decisive Strike. Please don't unhook me in front of the killer, that's just not fair. As far as tokens go, you don't need them; you earn Bloodpoints anyway. Don't excuse your behavior on a Perk because you want more points. We're already competing for Badges as it is, let's try and work together so as many as possible escape.
-
These are great changes to ensure that the traps are more lethal, but I don't believe that is the point. She should be using traps to delay progress, not to get kills (which, unless it has been changed, they did not count as sacrifices and did not grant as many points as a third-hook sacrifice).
I find they are much better to use toward the end of the game, as at the beginning they'll simply get released. Try saving them for later, and you'll see increased results (more likely in hook sacrifices, not traps getting set off). Ultimately you want the Survivors on hooks, and the traps just help get them there.
-
Please don't leave. We all have problems with certain aspects of the game but the company is working to address them and balance it for the rest of us. Look at the changes they're planning for Sprint Burst. They have a lot of other changes in store, but cannot get to them all at one time. You can check the weekly Developer Streams for current plans and future updates, as well as the Feedback forums and others here on the site. If you play normally, you can still gain Bloodpoints and Shards to increase your account level and purchase characters and outfits.

The Emblem system made it a lot harder for Survivors. There were many at Rank 1 who died every match, simply because they did well. If you worked on gens, ran from Killer a bit, and escaped, you'd guarantee pip every time, unless Killer camped you out right away.
Now, you're in competition with every other Survivor. If they're doing gens, your badge goes down. If they're getting chased instead of you, you won't even get a badge for that. Someone beats you to that hook save? No points for that either. It's possible to get an Iridescent, one Gold, one Bronze, and still not pip. Sometimes, you have a great game, escape, and find out you barely scratched by the safety pip and not anywhere close to gaining rank. People who only wanted to distract the Killer all match don't benefit anymore.
You can still gain a ton of Bloodpoints and not even safety pip; I do this on Killer all the time, usually with either top points or second place. I'm also very easy to escape from as I play against Rank 20's and make sure everyone's chased equally (we have fun ^_^).

What if there was a penalty to repair speed when there is a survivor on hook. Then you wouldn't get survivors saying "oh I'll just finish this gen first" so much. This would promote hardcore camping. Survivors hate slow Gen speeds (it's boring) and would swarm the hook to remove the penalty, like the Killer ringing a dinner bell. Even B&C didn't remove camping because without silhouettes, Killers won't leave (assuming they're nearby and not hiding behind gens). I think some alternative objectives added to the game to extend the length would help out more than a change to the generators themselves, or like a breaker-switch for full progress.
-
Sometimes the killer plays well, and you get defeated. There's no shame in that, despite how easy it is for many survivors before upcoming balance issues.

don’t run and unhook people right in front of the killer. -
It's a real problem, if a survivor gets caught early on and quits out, you're ruining it for the rest of the team. Grow up. Killers leaving is also bad, just take your points and try another game.
-
The call is coming from inside the house!
*The survivors are so close, you can't see them with the Perk
-
I think they accused camping because you stayed at the hook with hatchets, instead of chasing them with melee. If there was one guy there, yeah, but nearly the whole team was swarming around. Did they expect you to run away? You have to lead a Killer away from a hook, not hop around their feet. I would have done Gens in the meantime. Attacking a Killer face-on is asking for a hook (I play stealthy, not aggressive
). -
I don't think the hype for them is the issue at this point. The problem is what the update actually does. They can keep playing in the meantime, sure, but they aren't gaining progress in the new system. That means they aren't getting any experience, levels, or Shards (in a meaningful way). Even without the added content, they can play in the meantime, but there's almost no point in it progress-wise. You can still play for fun, but many believe it's better to wait for the update so their playtime has an impact on the updated system.

I think your complaint is that the pallets don't suck now...

-
A castle map would be pretty cool, set in a dark locale like the Red Forest. It had a different feel than the other 'forest' maps we had before.
-
Licensed characters are tied to their copyrighted owners, and must be purchased with money (which in part goes to the owner). The BHVR-created content can be purchased with Shards, earned by playing. Kate and the Clown can both be purchased using Shards, as well as the future game-created DLC Chapters.
-
Yeah the problem with chases as they are now is not to encourage extending the chase, but losing the killer. More perks like Kate's Dance With Me make it easier to slip away, not just make it to another area where you can throw pallets and run in circles. No one wants to run around in circles.

Maybe you need to flip a circuit breaker so there's no issue with items. At that stop point though, it can't be regressed beyond that. That's not a bad idea! Breakers that are located nearby, so you don't irritate the Survivors too much, but it's close enough where you can zip over and flip it, or have someone else (not doing gens) waiting to go. This way you know it's close by, but you don't have to scour the map for parts and worry about finding them/going too far from your gen.
-
A lot of players know that BNP's are changing and will attempt to use them before that happens. It's gonna be a crazy week before that update hits... whenever it comes, that is.

I fully support a Siren killer and hope we get something like this in the future! Love the idea of barnacles/sea life and dragging herself around (because she wouldn't have legs).

New consoles in 2020 anywayWas this mentioned somewhere? Do I have to start saving now?

Okay new idea: Muslim woman in burka, totally black can't see her anywhere, but she's also really petite. Cosmetic options include different style cloth, maybe camo patterns or some colorful tie-dyes for variety. The premium skin is fox-eared hoodie/pajamas (still wearing cloth mask over face for propriety). No more forced Claudette, people can wear bright outfits if chosen, and more diverse in cast. It's a WIN all around

-
If any of the Killers get a Nea skin/cosmetic I'm going to cry laughing.
-
I never liked the idea of Whispers (despite the soothing voice of Lord Entity). I recognize that the Killer needs tools to find Survivors, but they shouldn't have too many. There's already Scratches and alert sounds, and footsteps and breathing/cries as well, plus the Crows everywhere. With the upcoming changes to Dark Sense/Bitter Murmur, players will be able to see the opposite team pretty often (which is a stealth nerf to Object of Obsession, if you think about it ((heh)) ). I want to see more ways to sneak around, so I can try avoiding the Killer and not just run all the time. Let the other, better players lead them around on chases while I do the repairs. You want someone like me on your team, avoiding the Killer's notice and taking care of the busy-work.
-
I understand being impatient but they can continue making additional content (not just cosmetics) if players continue to support the game. None of them want to anger part of the customer base, and if we support the game they will keep balancing it to make us happy and creating more of it for us to enjoy. I'm not suggesting you all buy the Chapter or an outfit (there might not be anything you like) but perhaps something in the future catches your eye...

You've seen the new cosmetics, right? Many are totally worth paying for (and can't be purchased with Shards).
-
That would be awesome! I'm a huge fan of the Clock Tower series, I have all the old ones! One of the girls from CT1-2 or Ashley from CT3 would be great as Survivors (if they include one, otherwise just the Killer). I would adore this in DBD!

Mel Brooks is a shining beacon of humanity's achievement.
-
Yesterday it was loading forever, still lighting up but the bar didn't progress to the end. Waited five minutes and closed the game.
-
Do you mean Huntress? There is an achievement for winning (for Killers, it's getting all four Survivors sacrificed on hooks) by using only their three Perks. For Huntress it's Beast of Prey, Territorial Imperative, and Hex: Huntress Lullaby.

If 2 survivors dc's I will just farm and let the other survivors escapeGood on you, this happens all the time for me and I don't even want to escape, I just want a decent amount of points so I can level up new platform =/

I support this 100%. The more updates they make, the quicker the game seems to get, and it's more about Tag than Hide&Seek. I would love more stealthy playstyle options.
-
That was awesome!
-
Yeah RE is too broad a franchise to pull from. Which game would get the focus? Too many titles and too many iconic characters, you'd never make everyone happy.
Silent Hill could, obviously, feature Pyramid Head and perhaps the protagonist from 2 (the only game PH belonged in). Of all the games, SH2 would be the best fit for DBD.
-
Spine Chill and Lightweight are my favorites. Aside from those I usually run Botany and Self Care, though trying to do without SC now. I take Lithe instead, and replace Botany with random stuff: Technician, Plunderer's, Kindred <- real fun for teammates, and the like.
-
Why would Lithe be affected by the exhaustion change, lore-wise? She can move faster because she's lighter... Balanced Landing wouldn't change either, since it represents your ability to tumble, not a summoned burst of excessive stamina consumption. Ah well. Maybe they'll work things out in testing, and we'll see what stays and what doesn't.
-
I don't mind it... I love the braided hair, beats the bob she has going on the other one (though that one is nice too).
-
I love Lithe, but lately it hasn't been activating for me. I'll be chased by a killer, sometimes taking a hit, and seeing the stain behind me. I'll turn a corner, vault a window, and it doesn't consider me in the chase anymore. The problem is the killer is still so close, I get caught right away, and the perk doesn't help me even put distance in. I think it's somehow connected to line of sight for some reason.
-
No wonder I saw someone following the Killer around, no one was even in danger of attack or hook... I thought it meant escaping too, not just bonus for proximity.
-
Hey now, we're all fans of the game, we're all in this together. As long as you get a decent amount of Bloodpoints and/or Shards, it's all in good fun, hey? Remember that the Entity needs to eat too ^_^
-
Yeah the new cosmetics are super neat, I'll be buying some as soon as I can (the ones I want can't be earned via Shards).
