Its a horror game, not a manga game.
I was a Bleach fan in my teen years, I know Bleach has a dark vibe. But I dont think it fits dbd.
For me, dbd is around horror movies, not horror manga.
That said, I would have prefer Ulquiorra over Trickster...
Imo dbd isn't horror anymore, but that's just my opinion. I feel like Ulquiorra would fit, but no one else. No one from Soul Society, vizards, other arrancar, or bounts would ever work. But I think Ulquiorra would be perfect because of his nihilistic personality, as well as his need to serve someone more powerful than him. It would be an agreement, like with Pyramid Head.
Also, no one wanted Trickster. Let's be honest here 😂

This is quite the random killer request. It's better you just not think of things like this. Best answer to give is that it's not going to happen.
I don't know. If they did someone from Bleach, I feel like it would be Ulquiorra. He's one of the most popular characters.
@Anara said:
Legendary skin for Trickster ? I think one manga killer is enough.
Ulquiorra didn't have anything to do with knives. They wouldn't do that for Trickster. Also, we have multiple horror movie killers, so why not manga characters?

But more of my face is covered by the wall than is exposed. It seems like survivors don't even have to aim the flashlight. Just point it at the killer's head even from a bad angle and you get the blind.
If ANY of your face is exposed, you'll get blinded. But if you fully face a wall, you can't.

I never experience this with no addons however almost always once per game when using any addon I experience this. I want to say addons cause it but I have no idea how.
If someone can disprove this theory by showing this happening in a game without addons it would be appreciated.
edit - Saw the gif above with a Nurse blinking with the bug with no addons - Well guess that's that. Wonder what causes it then.
I don't have it on video but it does happen without add-ons. I play without add-ons every game as her and it happens to me. Add-ons make it happen more though.

I wanted to start playing Nurse, and unfortunately many times I have a bug that when I do the first Blink and I right-click to do the second Blink, the breath that the Nurse makes when loading a Blink starts to sound a lot times and it won't let me do a second Blink, it's only fixed if instead of doing a second Blink, I just do one and give an M1, but sometimes this bug happens again later.
Is there any solution for this? Does anyone know in what situations this happens?
Nurse main here. Nothing you can do. Just hope it goes away. It's the most annoying bug in the game, but you usually won't lose from it.

I meant more How she went from being the best killer in the game to the best killer in the game after her nerfs.
she still breaks the game and has no effective counterplay
Unpredictability is effective. So is stealth. You shouldn't expect to last long in a chase anyway, especially against nurse, who's entire power is centered around downing as fast as possible. If you're so predictable that she doesn't miss a blink on you, that's a you problem. No nurse should ever down you in <4 blinks. If she is downing you that quickly, that's a you problem.

I still hate it personally since I loving looping tiles while nurse just says nope and goes through it
Nurse is a break from doing the same thing over and over again. I see facing her as a breath of fresh air, even if she is a god.

Nurse can't be changed.
Make no mistake, it is technically possible. She would require a Freddy-level rework as no matter how hard you nerf her, she will always be a top-tier killer because she ignores every defense survivors have outside of jukes and making her guess.
But that's the problem. There are many that to this day despise the Freddy rework because, essentially, his former players lost their killer. But let's say you believe Nurse is such a problem that this is a necessary evil. Why don't they?
Nurse isn't like Freddy. She's not like Spirit. She is a very, very old killer. She's an honorable member of the original trio because of how old she is. She is a relic from an older era of DBD but has been in the game for so long that they essentially can't touch her because, like it or not, the community more or less accepts her and her status as the strongest killer. If you touch her, you will get an unholy amount of backlash—don't believe me, then check some of the responses to her rework some time back.
The devs know this. They're not dumb despite some questionable decisions in the past. With this in mind, they did the only thing they could—make her extremely hard to play/control so that she doesn't become common, so while there will be the occasional game with a god-Nurse, there'll be so few and far between that people won't be too likely to get riled up.
Now, you can disagree with this being valid reasoning, but it is what it is.
This 100%. I never really understood the people saying that they killed nurse back then though. Like, I'm a nurse main and I didn't really mind the nerf, besides missing Omegablink every now and then.

That’s why I want her reworked. She’s a relic of the past like insta heals or old toolboxes but unlike those two she hasn’t really been changed too much
Hasn't been changed much? Let's see here...she doesn't have 3 blinks basekit anymore does she? She's not 115% speed anymore is she? She has two cooldowns now doesn't she? How has she barely been changed? She's had the most changes out of every killer.

Hi
I've seen mandy's opinion about nurse
He said nurse doesn't have problem even though Nurse is super strong because it is so hard to be adept nurse.
Yeah nurse is op in highest rank. Actually middle-low skilled user can't handle nurse so statistic looks nurse is normal killer. But It is not.
I've worked in game industry and I totally against this mention. It is horrible mind of balancing.
Hard to be skillful user doesn't mean character should have super power.
For example, most of famous game like LOL, DOTA also has characters like nurse
But they are not OP. Just they are tricky. So they can show good performance with skillful user but most of players also can barely good result too.
Have you ever seen Nurse challenge of Sal_gu (streamer who is no.1 killer in KR) ?
He try to show how nurse is broken when skillful user want to kill survivors.
He choose nurse every games. Less than 3% players could survive. Is it normal you think?
In game environment, upward leveling of user's skill is unavoidable because the number of new players will decrease and left players get adept more. Which means in the future, Most of adept users can slaughter new players with nurse. It is not hard to see this culture. For example, most of battle fighting game and FPS game has barrier to entry because of broken balance and culture.
below link is reaction of it.
Nurse experiment (400 kills) - Page 3 — Dead By Daylight
Is nurse broken? : deadbydaylight (reddit.com)
Also, Actually, In KR server red rank, If killer choose Nurse or spirit (Mother-Daughter Ring + Yakuyoke Amulet addon), survivors withdraw gen and wait other survivor killed to escape to hatch. I think it shows future of DBD with broken balance.
The reason why nurse has problem is below.
- Most of high rank player choose Nurse every time if they want to win. Which means in terms of balance, meta can be easy to be fixed. For example, in KR server, there are more skillful users especially survivors than other server. So, in 1-2 red ranks, most of killers pick Nurse, Spirit, Blight to win because if they don't choose them, they can get just t-bagging.
- It makes deformed league culture as well. Now, most of leagues ban nurse's add-on. (Also, some league ban spirit's add-on too) Because people know that she is OP in highest player. Which means it is not good for DBD's E-Sport plan.
- It can make entry barrier. If new survivor face skillful nurse player, they can delete game.
- Upward leveling of user's skill and decrease of new players can't be avoidable. Which means in the future, just choose Nurse can be mandatory.
I don't say just "NERF NURSE BOOOO!". Because tricky characters are also needed in game. But it is too much.
So Dev have to make it easy to play Nurse more to get more Nurse users (especially middle rank) and adjust her power as well. Yeah maybe It need remake of her ability and add-on as well.
Blueprint of her ability should be changed. It's not the matter of nerf or buff.
Thank you
No. I'm sorry, but a nurse is only as good as the person playing her. Changing her power is a massive ######### YOU! To the people who spent time learning her. Only 3% escaped because that person is good with nurse. It's going to be the same with pretty much any killer. If a new player is facing an experienced nurse, they were more than likely queueing with a red rank for an advantage against baby killers and it backfired. A new player will never face a good nurse under normal circumstances. As a nurse main myself, I don't choose her when I want to win. I could do that with literally any other killer. I play her because she's fun to play. You have no right to talk about tournament dbd. That isn't actually dbd, because dbd isn't a competitive game and shouldn't be treated like one. If a nurse beat your team, they can likely beat it with most other killers as well. Nurse requires a knowledge of survivor pathing, meaning that a nurse mains mind games on other killers will be close to perfect. I can get behind them changing her add-ons, because yes, some combinations are busted. However, her basekit is very balanced, so changing it isn't fair.

Yeah, the survivor doesn't have to be in the killer's FoV to blind them because the angle is higher than the FoV. Kind of like reverse spine chill.
I wish they would rework Blinds to make them easier but less impactful. Right now, half the time the counterplay is just mass slugging and hoping they don't have Unbreakable.
Who doesn't use Unbreakable right now? It's in every game now. Really annoying since my playstyle is a heavy slugging one.

Wrong. They can blind you when you're looking at a wall, because the OP and I have experienced it.
Usually that is because you allow an angle to appear. If there's a doorway/window near the wall, DON'T PICK UP THERE. That creates an angle. If you've been blinded facing a wall in another situation, it was either Monitor, Shadowborn, or possibly something having to do with a hole in the wall. Sometimes you can blind through them.

Oh. I see. It was disbalanced on the other side, then.
Imo they should give it another try and add some rules that denies exploding those benefits.
Another possible option I think it could be similar to how the perk "friendship" works, but with the killer.
If killer stays on less than a "X" metters radius from a hooked guy, and there is NO PRESSENCE of survivors on the same radius, hook progression runs slowly.
The only problem I see is that this mechanic wouldn't affect in the same way to a Nurse or a hag, than to a walking killer like Myers or trapper. But anyway, tunneling and camping would be punished in terms of gameplay. (I'm talking about Early game. On late game everything should be allowed).
Other option is to give a "reward" to the killer to leave camping zone. Bloodpoints? Show him a random aura reveal of a survivor or a started gen? Idk.
I think you don't know the definition of tunneling. Tunneling is when the killer only goes for one person and throws the game to do it. It doesn't necessarily mean off hook. For example, if you get a 5 gen run, the killer tunneled you. However, if the killer goes for any survivor after he sees you, but before you die, it's not tunneling. However, I do see what you mean and I like the idea. I don't know about the first one for the same reason you don't. As a nurse main, this wouldn't do anything to nurse whatsoever. I like the reward idea. There should also be a reward for not doing gens quickly, but still getting out. It would help with the grind while simultaneously making every game more fun. There still needs to be penalties for these things though, because some don't care about blood points. I just don't know what the penalty would be for anything. Everything I can think of is abusable.
Also, thank you for not using chase as the indicator to stop pausing the timer. Because a lot of people do that without realizing that a good survivor can get chased without the game recognizing it.

Its quicker 100% but depends on day. Sometimes almost instant at most 2 minutes. But definitely towards the former with most queue times 30-45s range
Yeah. At night anyways. The queue times switch in the morning where I live. So essentially, once the clock hits somewhere around 5 survivors have short queues, while killers have long ones.

Getting stunned on its own does not end bloodlust though. Also if flashlight blinds after being stunned bothers you, you should consider just running Lightborn since it makes you immune, plus blinding at pallets loses them distance making it easier for you as killer to catch up.
It takes away one BL tier.
-
You have to do it after the killer can move.

@MadLordJack said:
I don't find Nurse to be all that different form Spirit because she has no counterplay, you're just banking on the Nurse not being good. People also massively overestimate how much practice it takes to be a good Nurse - give it a couple of hours and you'll be mowing down even the best survivors, so long as you also understand that only bad Nurses try and predict the survivors movement, go for 1-blink hits, and let survivors break LoS to mindgame them.
Playing against a Nurse is just hoping that the Nurse is a potato who doesn't understand how to blink. There's no real difference. It's not that hard to be a good Nurse. And even if you are going against a bad Nurse, chances are your teammates aren't familiar with bad Nurse counterplay and you're still going to lose.
I one blink people all the time. I just make sure that if they doubled back I could use my second blink to still hit them. This way, I save a charge. One blinking is really efficient if you do it right.

New Killer, though Im just about to pack it in for this game entirely. DBD is just unplayable as it is unless you like to be eternally irritated. Today as a Rank 13 Killer, I have had CONSTANT lobbys of purple rank SWF. It's just a terrible experience.
One thing that is really confusing me though, and I hope someone can explain it to me- I constantly get blinded by flashlights when I do actually get a down. The thing is, the survivor blinding me isn't even in front of me. So I just got blinded, and I swear to God, the flashlight ######### was BEHIND me, or maybe a bit to my right. How do you avoid that? When i play survivor it's really difficult for me to land a flashlight stun, but somehow I had a group of survivors that could do it from behind me and slightly to the right?
Id it an add on or special bulb?
The blind angle is wider than the killers fov. Face a wall to avoid getting flashlight saved. They can't blind you if you face walls while picking up.

I see. I started playing some months ago. Many things I don´t know about Dbd progression.
Maybe they should give one more try.
Last time it either stopped or heavily slowed hook progression when the killer was near, can't remember which. Anyways, it was removed because survivors just looped around the hook to make the killer have no way to win other than 4 man slugging a team. If survivors didn't abuse it, we'd have no campers anymore.

I'm getting so sick and tired of it. Every single match I played today, and most I play on other days, are almost exclusivly tunneler/face camper.
Yes I can run perks for it, yes half the team gets out, but it doesnt mean that it isn't ######### boring as hell and frustrating to boot.
The blood point punishment for camping does not deter it, and something needs to be done, it.
I know that the devs say 'its a valid strategy' but it makes the game blatently unfun when you are the one being tunneled/camped, and when you are not, it makes the game god awful boring because you just sit there doing gens with no pressure no chases.
The issue is that survivors abuse everything they can. They actually did implement something to stop camping, but it got removed quickly due to survivors looping by the hook to abuse it. Survivors made their bed, they can lie in it. I'm sorry that you're having bad matches, but nothing can be done about it without it being abused.

DH would be easy to change, just remove the invincibility from it and keep the dash. Solves a lot of problems on both sides:
- Survivors cannot complain about getting exhausted on the ground since the perk doesn't grant Immunity towards attacks
- Killers will only see DH used to gain distance to a pallet or window, not to dodge attacks that would otherwise be considered a down
As compensation, I'd like to see the distance this perk covers slightly increased as well as the speed curvature being slightly more aggressive. We could experiment with other compensation changes, but I don't know how much TO compensate since I don't know how damaging removing the invincibility from DH is.
The invincibility isn't why DH is used.

It doesn't matter if you don't make it obvious, once the killer knows you have Head On, they won't get close enough to lockers for you to use it, they'll just bait it out.
Unless they don't know you're in there. It's a SWF perk, as in it takes communication to make work, but it's quite strong when it does.

Head On and Balanced Landing are the worst, most niche exhaustion perks.
Bring back old balanced and rework Haddonfield. Then rework the perks to be at that level. I think that's balanced.

hey guys, i just wanted to vent about some game mechanics & see if y’all had any advice on how to better deal with them. so, typically i play as both survivor & killer, with a slight bias towards survivor, but recently i’ve lost pretty much all interest in playing killer due to the frequency in which i get paired with SWF. now, i should preface that i don’t actually have a problem with SWF, and i’m not one of those killers who thinks all SWF are bully squads lmao. however, it’s the matchmaking when it comes to SWF that has made the killer experience absolutely exhausting. yesterday i had five games in a row that were all SWF, where at least two of the survivors were red rank. i’m a rank 15 (and pretty much staying there for the time being since i can barely get any hooks, let alone kills, with these groups), so at my current experience level, these teams are pretty much un-counter-able. i don’t wanna start camping & tunneling people, but it’s getting to the point where that’s the only way i can secure kills. any more experienced killers have any tips on how to deal with these groups? i’ve unlocked the teachable hag & bubba perks so far, & am currently working on getting myers’. also if it helps, i favor the doctor & ghostface right now.
Don't play killer at night right now. There's a bug with rank reset that set people further back than they should be, so even the people at your rank might have over 5k hours, you never know. Also, if you're getting heavily outskilled every game to the point where you can't get hooks, it's probably not SWF every game, and rather your own lack of experience. Not trying to sound rude, but that's just how it is.
