This isn't a versus post, I swear.
Basically when you first downloaded the game what was y ur first impression of it? Which side did you start with? What's your impression of the game now?
I'll start, I started playing pretty much as Ghostface came out, I was 12 at the time and only decided to play the game cuz my brother convinced me. I started with survivor and I was honestly scared that as soon as I entered the match that the killer would insta-down me.
My current impression of the game being has changed drastically, it's not scary to me now when I play survivor. Honestly, I'm more scared whenever I wanna play killer, because I'm scared matchmaking will screw me over and put me with people who are 10 ranks higher than me.
I started when the game first came out, and my first impression was that the game wasn't all that good, but had potential. So I stuck with it.

So before their nerf I would see them every now and then. Not particularly common but not extremely rare. Now I have yet to see one since the nerf. I wonder if they are one of the lowest picked killers. I'm still holding strong on them but I feel like the 5 second wait period has alot of people turned away from learning them
I do! The nerf didn't really make them weaker, just less fun to play.

You say that, I've ended a game in a minute as pyramid head so personal experience isn't the best metric
But I feel like I should clarify when I meant strongest. I didn't mean overall strongest but strongest strength in terms of skill put in. Feral Frenzy takes almost no skill to use, you could put on double recharge add-ons, and then it'll be similar to Oni in trying to not give him the first hit except he can just Frenzy you and find your teammates and injure everyone and then if you don't heal you're completely dead. Either stay in deep wounds all game- you die- or need to heal constantly.
Against a killer who can injure people really quickly.
While ruin is a perk that exists in dbd.
If that's what you meant, then I agree.

Are you using a situation at the beginning because the survivor most of the time dont spawn next to a gen and most likely will travel around maybe 10 to 15 seconds could be less to start on one. Also there could be multiple survivors at 1 spawn location which means the survivors if caught by the killer will have to spread away from each other to do other gens which takes more time.
Survivors spawn next to generators mostly.

I know this is another rant about tunneling and camping, but holy f*ck it is out of control as of late. Today 24 game I player going for challenges and trying to have fun with my 2 friends. 20 of the games were literally the killer proxies 10 meters from hook. Someone unhooked then the killer tunnels the person on hook. I know just rush gens, but that is boring and there is no gameplay, also you cant get 5 gens done in 2 minutes (hook timer for survivor). Which means the killer could get 2 killers for doing nothing. I dont know how killers play like this because there's no fun in it, and it's literally just to be a d*ck. Something needs to be done about this Idc if it's a so called strategy, it's bad for the game and it needs to go.
Actually, you totally can get all the gens done in about 2 minutes if you maximize efficiency.

Not super crazy on the new survivor looks, they dropped the heavy shading that all the characters used to have which makes their faces look a lot less grimy and more youthful. The best example of this is the new Dwight.
I'm more concerned about the new trapper that was teased, they made the ridge around his nose much more prominent and gave him fangs for whatever reason, it looks terrible.
I didn't see that one.
If they keep those fangs, I'm gonna be pissed, ngl.

Deathslinger guarantees a down or injury at the window and can react to the vault huntress can prep a hatchet for a 50 50
Trickster gets 1/2 an injure
Yes, but you can still get a good mindgame or juke off. It's better to just not commit to those chases.

Well i get the nurse part and i totally understand. But the fact is, that most people dint understand how to loop hawkins specifically. Everyone says that all the pallets are trash but dont see how close they are together, forming a strong multipallet loop. Hawkins is just unique like that
But that's the thing. I like jungle gyms and standard mind games, not guessing. Plus, the map removes all forms of tracking. I don't typically condone this, but half the time I get this map, I'll just DC. It's just going to be boring no matter what.

Hawkins is fine actually. It could use some buffs for survivors here and there but its not downright broken.
Not imo. I hate it on both sides. Killer is because I main Nurse, survivor because there aren't any fun loops to run. It's more of a fun thing than anything, because you can still win on both maps.

I have some demands for this chapter I think a lot of people would agree with.
5:I hope for a map/ For the love of god Bhvr, I am sick and tired of replaying the same damn maps over and over again and again. Sure they do look cool, but now they are beginning to become a bore. I don't give a crap if its RPD station, Baker Ranch, Spencer Mansion, or even The Village, just give us a new map already, PLEASE!
4: I hope for the 5th anniversary to be amazing/ I was around for the 4th anniversary and it was great, but it wasn't that exciting if I'm gonna be honest. Now I did like the cakes and I did like the Crowns however I just want something that is enjoyable and fitting for the 5 years of the game like a new gamemode or something just as big.
3: I hope for the RE chapter to have something for everyone/ If you know me, I love RE 7 and some of the newer stuff, and also want there to be inclusion of the newer games. However I am not expecting there to be a survivor(s) or Killer(s) to be of the newer games. Now I will admit the old time fans deserve this more than I do, but I will be a bit sad if it doesn't come in. I will be fine if they add it as legendary skins or very rare skins but I'm not gonna be truly happy.
2: I hope for the characters to be good/ What I mean is that both the killer(s) and the survivor(s) ( were not sure ). Either way they need to be good, for example the killer whether it be Nemesis, Mr.X, Lady D, or even Jack Baker. They need to be good, not some F tier BS, or any other low tier , it would be understandable if they were B tier. Regardless if you, devs, are giving us Nemsis, you better ######### give us Nemesis, not some thing that looks like him, it needs to be Nemesis, or Mr.X, whatever. The perks need to be good and unique, and fitting to the characters. They also have to look good, the point is you Bhvr need to do these characters justice and make them to where they appeal to both the DBD playerbase, and the New RE fans that are coming.
1: I hope for a damn good chapter/ There is something more than I care about the characters or anything else I've listed, and that is the quality of the this chapter. I have not forgiven or forgotten the god forsaken chapters that was A binding of Kin, or All Kill. We have been struggling to enjoy this game with what you have given us, and RE is a prestigious title to the horror title, and you are super damn lucky to get the attention of Capcom and have them allow you to add such a title to your game. If you ######### up this chapter, with bugs or any thing along those lines, and release a cheap and easy chapter. You will dig a grave that now way in hell will you be able to crawl out of, ever. If there are bugs in this chapter push it to a later date this chapter needs to be good, or you will lose the respect of a lot of us.
But this is bhvr SO I don't expect much
I want Las Noches (as in Hueco Mundo.)

With every rift and tome comes excitement. It'll be fun, I tell myself. I tell myself, I'll be able to rush through, especially with the reduced xp toward a rift fragment.
THEN tome 2 is released and, as a survivor, I wonder why I do this to myself every time a new rift comes out.
Even bps in a number of other games are not this grindy. Why do I torture myself like this? 😪😪
It's not that hard to level up in the rift. Just play 8 hours a day. Easy😂
-
I'd be disappointed if we get zombies. I would, however, like Ulquiorra, a dead, well, 10,000 people's souls compressed into one entity.
-
We all know killers do it too, it's just that survivors literally do it 4x as much because there are 4x more of them. So yeah, this is justified. There's also the fact that after a while, you'll notice that survivors complain in the endgame chat more while killers complain on here. So if they were recording endgame chats, you'll pretty much only find salty survivors.

You see, I will tell you, while you do a Gen with an exit door behind your back, where do you have to look so that the killer does not come to you? It turns out that sneaking behind him is a good strategy and that happened to him. My friend while I was teaching him to play dbd, I think it is one of the good advantages of being a stealth killer, hiding in an exit door and if you are lucky, if you start to open it, appearing out of nowhere is a classic.

On a 115? Killer.
There are many things this is, and not is chief is one.
It's overpowered, but not at nurse level.
For example, with this I could down everyone in let's say 3 minutes. Finding people, first frenzy, they mend, second frenzy.
With nurse I could down everyone in less than 1 minute, and I've done it before.

Death Throes, Waiting For You Watch, Lucky Blade, and Memento Blades suck ass, I agree.
Edge of Revival + Cut U Thru Single is his best add-on combination.
No it isn't if you're playing efficiently. To avoid recoil, you should tap the button, not hold it, making the addon have no effect.

Well if the some killers was reworked like the Doctor.
I wouldn’t Disconnect or make this post.
When Iam forced to run the stay calm perk all the time is lame.
This is the only way to even get close to winning a match against the doctor.
But yeah what fun is their in screaming and not be able to complete a generator.
People disconnect on me all the time.
Usually 1 person always disconnects on me ever match.
If you have an issue against doc, that's a you problem. And before you try the "I've been playing since day 1" on me, so have I. If you think that doctor is overpowered, you're most likely a new player. Doctor is a solid C tier killer, and not that difficult to deal with.

Same for killers who bring Hawkins offerings.

Level up your wraith, he has unique perks that make survivors easier to track during chases
Bloodhound-Decent tracking perk but not all that good
Predator-Hinders you by making scratch marks unable to appear on walls
Shadowborn-Really good on Nurse and Huntress, but that's about it.

As a killer main, I want to ask other killer mains what their biggest weakness is as a killer?

I suck at picking a killer to play. Honestly that's the hardest part of my gameplay 😂

So you're godlike with oplaying a weak killer like trickster.
I don't know why you can't just admit he's weak
Although I win most of my games with him, I'm actually not that good with Trickster. I main Nurse and Huntress. I'm just at least decent at every killer. It comes from having 6k hours on killer alone. He is weak, but he's still viable.

Deathslinger can land a shot through tiny gaps and guarantee an injure
Huntress can land a shot from anywhere and injure or down
Trickster can land a shot through a tiny gap and gets 1/8 of an injury let's be realistic you may land 1-3 knives before they react you still have to put in 4-5x the effort to get from healthy to injured
I'm talking about in a jungle gym. Not anywhere else. There is only one 4.4 killer who's effective at jungle gyms, and it's Spirit. There aren't tiny gaps in jungle gyms, so no go for Slinger. Same for Trickster. A killer not being good at the strongest survivor tile in the game isn't what makes them viable, or the opposite. That's what the other guy was trying to say.
-
@Nebula said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2200292#Comment_2200292
I'd have to disagree with you here
Huntress and Deathslinger's powers are both usable at jungle gyms. All you have to do is hide your red light when walking around the corner and either catch them through the window, or running through the pallet.
Trickster on the other hand.....
Slinger, maybe. Huntress? No. You're just too slow winding up. Any good survivor is pretty much never getting hit by Huntress at a jungle gym.
-
@Mr_K said:
If you remove the bp cap, you encourage youtube videos of survivors bullying killers for 100k bold points.
To be fair, if they aren't getting caught after that long, it's the killers fault. You get 8k boldness after like 5 minutes of being chased, so you'd have to be chased for about an hour for 100k blood points, multiplied by 4 for the whole team. All the resources will be wasted in 10 minutes at most, so pallets won't even be an issue.
-
@sulaiman said:
Discuss.
Well, here's the thing. It might be hard to hear this, but SWF are rarely toxic and here's why. It only takes one person in the group to complement the killer, and then all of them are doing it. This, combined with the fact that most are good sports, and the fact that they are playing with their friends to have a fun, chill time, meaning that they won't go out of their way to put others down.
-
@Lord_Tony said:

Huntress downs with her hatchet in 1 with iri head and 2 normally.
Deathslinger can injure with his gun for 1 state and then down for the second state.
Spirit is ######### insane
hag can teleport.
trickster requires 16 ######### hits and the damage goes away over time. Please don't tell me this is viable, lol.
I said not easily useable at jungle gyms. Huntress's power isn't easily useable at jungle gyms, neither is slinger's, and hag doesn't chase, so you could apply that to her as well. All of these killers will typically avoid jungle gyms. Spirit is just easily useable anywhere.
As I said, you don't want to use knives(or hatchets) for both hits, meaning that it's 8.
So yeah...tell me you're bad at killer without telling me you're bad at killer.

Playing nurse, downing someone, and getting 3 IF procs.

That doesn't sound viable to me.
That's for every 4.4 killer who's power isn't easily useable there. Are you saying Huntress isn't viable? I gave you advice on how to use him better and win games with him, and you're refusing to use it. Instead of complaining about how weak he is, play him and get better.

And the most fun part of every match is predicting that the Survs will talk trash in post-game lobby. And then they do.
It's legitimately and provably in over 80% of my games that I get called a noob, a camper, a tunneler... And the point here is that these games are also recorded, and EVERYONE will be able to see very clearly that I hook a Surv, and the other 3 are literally within arm's reach. And they're mad I don't just LEAVE the hook for absolutely no reason at all, and LET them unhook for free and clear gens for free and etc etc etc.
They ALWAYS got somethin' to say.
Always.
And I love that I'm recording it.
This is my new enjoyment of the game.
It also makes the miserable defeats more bearable, as I am recording the showcases of why Survivors have it SO EASY in this game these days.
All in all, good times again thanks to recording.
100% of games fall under two categories:
1) I get clean swept, and the Survs teabag and say nothing post-game.
2) I kill at least 1 Survivor, and the post-game is an explosion of Survivor BM & namecalling.
Actually 100% of my games fall under one of these two categories. LMAO!
Lmfao. I got called a camper and tunneler when I 4 man slugged their team at 5 gens with nurse and 1 hooked everyone to death(I had a bad day, don't judge me 😂). They said nothing about slugging, and only called me the two names that weren't applicable to me. Actually hilarious.

Freddy i sjust plain boring to play everything he does is just so mundane. Like he can teleport but only to specific places that survivors know where they are(Im not saying he needs a buff its just boring to have no choice where to TP to) and every chase feels the same.
Trapper for me is just Hag but way less effective and fun also I have lettuce hair which instantly makes hag better than trapper.
Plague just feels really sluggish to me. There isnt really another way for me to put this but she just feels so slow. Charging puke feels slow, while charging puke you move slow, the puke itself moves slow, survivors get infected slow, drinking corrupt feel slow. Basically just everything about her just feels slow.
Freddy, Spirit, and Michael.
Freddy and Spirit because I like a challenge(I do like going against her though), and Michael because he's just an M1 killer with no unique power.

So why is he so god damn garbage?
He's not. If you can't win with him, it's on you. His recent changes made him viable. But for some tips:
1.) Don't use your knives to get the second hit. You have no cooldowns after injuring someone with knives, but while holding them you slow down quite a bit. Play him like huntress as in M2 into M1 if possible.
2.) Don't chase at jungle gyms, or any high walled loop really. Excluding shack of course.
3.) You can down someone really quickly on loops you can shoot over. If someone runs to a short walled loop, commit to the chase.
4.) Don't hold down the button to spam, but tap it rapidly to avoid high levels of recoil.
5.) Practice hitting your knives in a custom with a friend until you know how to aim them perfectly.
If you do all of these you should win most games with him.

I'd go out my way to not tunnel, slug, go back to hooks, run non meta perks etc. What did I get for playing nice? Teabag at exit and hatch.
Now I play the opposite to how I used to, kill everyone a lot more and survivors don't like it. (Tunneling weak links is very effective.)
I guess the message here is if you get a killer who plays fair don't be a dick at the end or you'll end up with more merciless killers.
Do you want a cookie? You should've done this from the very beginning.
