Cool story, bro.
Not a story, just my playstyle. I'm just saying that builds completely revolving around slowdown aren't necessary to win as legion.

I'm assuming you just play Nurse, Spirit, or use only the strongest perks/add-ons.
I am a Nurse main, but I don't play exclusively Nurse. I play every killer. And I haven't lost in 7 months. I use standard builds like corrupt, Bamboozle, bbq, and a filler perk like Shadowborn. My playstyle revolves around slugging. Maybe I'm a god, or it's just the fact that the average survivor is not good.

Buddy if you think you even touch my skill cap you're barking up the wrong tree, most of the veteran players have high hours in the game doesn't make you special, and it sounds to me like you're playstyle is trash ,I don't have to do any of those things to win and you probably only go against console player while you sit on you're high end PC so congratz to basic gameplay strategies.
I'm actually on console myself. I haven't been on PC in...I think 3 years now. My playstyle is perfectly fine. I don't camp or tunnel. I just heavily slug to the point where some people might bleed out. Console players aren't any worse than PC players, so I don't know why you're bringing up platforms. Also, I don't HAVE to slug to win. I just do it because it makes winning really easy. The fact is, if you had my playstyle, you would be winning much more than you are now. And again, if you lose to gen speeds, you aren't even close to me in terms of skill. I learn something every game, and use what I learned in the next game. That's how I keep my winning streak going for an indefinite amount of time.
You may not think you have to slug to win, but you also don't win every game, so what you think is clearly not working for you. Come back when you learn that it's fine to utilize anything to win, and I'll help you get better at killer.

no... not at all. have you never played a game in 3rd person? (the answer is obviously "yes I have", don't actually answer it)
you control the camera, this is not an issue.
That's extra work, therefore making it harder. I rest my case.

tbh, i never saw a spirit do a 4k without addons, cuz she is not so strong, but she have some sick addons to help her, i will quote some addons that i think is too strong and might need some changes
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/C0M07236ISGR/amassa-png.png
She basically is so fast with this addon, she can traverse the map with one phase with a normal coldown
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/9TN2NZ7J7862/asdsa-png.png
She have 8 seconds of phase but at the same time she is a litte bit slow when in a phase, but she have the addon Dirty Uwabaki, that cancels the slow, that why i this this addon need some changes as well
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/I95XKNDWL27E/holly-png.png
I think this is the most cancer addon of spirit, with this, she basically turns invisible at chase, she lose her red light and is so hell to loop a spirit with this
And that's it, if u guys agree with my opinion coment here to a know, thx
PS: 10 of my games against a spirit, 7 spirits is using some of these addons!
I actually agree with this. For the most part. All of her add-ons above brown need a nerf, and she'll be pretty balanced.

I wouldn't recommend Corrupt on Legion. It causes survivors to spread out in the beginning of the match. It is definitely usable though.
Spirit: Sloppy, Unrelenting, STBFL, Mindbreaker
Twins: Ruin, Whispers, Pop, Sloppy
Huntress: (I don't play Huntress much but whatever) Corrupt, Iron Maiden, BBQ, Pop
I don't need any slowdown besides corrupt for legion. It creates boring games, and I prefer to just get everyone injured and slug at 5 gens. That's why I never lose as legion.

a) already said that in my previous post
b) because the player suddenly becomes blind? there's no reason for this to be a thing
c) so?
d) nah
You don't become blind, but your body will block your view of the survivor. It's like looking behind you at the killer as survivor, but harder too see, because your model is bigger than the survivor's. See how that would be an issue?

Don't even kid yourself that is a feat, in red ranks and most likely I'm way more skilled than you.
I main Nurse. Do you really think that a nurse main can't get 6 hooks in 4 minutes?? Also, it's really not a feat. Every survivor I play against is hot trash. I get downs in around 25 seconds, and my playstyle revolves around slugging. I usually win in 5 minutes or so. And if you think that you're more skilled than me, you're in for a rude awakening. I haven't lost a game in 7 months. As killer. I lose all the time as survivor because I'm not all that good at it. So if you're talking about survivor, then yeah, you probably are way more skilled than me, but as killer? No. I have 5k hours on Nurse alone, and 7k hours on every killer combined. Then I have around 500 on survivor. You can't best that if you're still losing to gen speeds.

He's pretty easy to learn imo.
If you know how to play nurse, you're automatically at least decent with him.

Whatever the gens speeds are to fast and the nerfed every perk that slows anything down, I'm so sick of people acting as if this part of the game does not exist ,if get one 2 gens done,I chase for 1 minute ,carry survivor to hook 2 more gens ,now I have to patrol the one hook, I got but standing 24 meters by the hook causes me to lose points ,I'm being punished for how the game is made and guess what if, I don't get at least 6 hooks between juggling four people, in under 4 minutes Entity Displeased and lost of pips mean while survivor stunned me twice and flashlight stun me and then escapes and receives his two pips for not doing ######### ?how is this even fair.
The gens or either to fast or people are hacking running scripts that increases gen speeds ,not mention that Leader, Resilience,Spine Chill and whatever speed increases perks haven't been nerfed. And Prove Thyself
6 hooks in four minutes isn't really hard. Yes, gen speeds are an issue, but they aren't an excuse for losing. This is coming from a killer main too. Blame your own lack of skill if you lose. If you lost, the survivors were more efficient, or just straight up better than you. Instead of complaining, why don't you work on getting better?

I'm familiar enough with it and can win on it, but that doesn't mean that it's not insanely bad for her. Our skill hides how bad the map is, that's all.

we aren't. The entity sees the entire trial at once and doesn't directly control anyone.
we play as the characters (but play in 3rd person as survivor).
given by who?
why would killer be harder? besides the ranged ones of course...
So survivors would play like killers do currently...oh no...
you are also taking this way too seriously, if you read the thread, people just wanna play this as a limited time event...
It would make killer harder because
A.) It makes every ranged killer nonviable
B.) It makes it harder to see exactly what the survivors are doing, as in things like items disappearing when you vault
C.) Every killer is used to 1st person
D.) All of the above
Take your pick.

the entity does not control the killers. you really shouldn't pull the lore card to say something that's wrong.
also we, the players, aren't in the entity pov.
Yes, we are. At least that was the reason given to me, and I haven't seen anything saying otherwise. But lore aside, gameplay wise this is a bad idea. As I said, 3rd person killer would be harder than 1st person. And 1st person survivor, while good in theory, destroys any chance survivors have of surviving a chase. You need to be able to use your camera to check for mindgames.

Are there any other DBD games that come as close to being as legendary or as funny as this?

I disagree, when a survivor enters a locker, they’re completely invincible for 60s, there’s literally no counterplay whatsoever, it’s bad and it needs to change. At the same time, survivors aren’t using it anymore (and the numbers are still dropping) as it’s ridiculously situational, I think it’s time to give DS a final rework as it desperately needs it right now.
Yes, but since they aren't progressing the game, it's fine. Survivors aren't using it because it isn't abusable anymore.
-
@Lantern said:
I feel like the general consensus is that killers are weaker than survivors, and I feel that way myself, so while thinking about what could be changed, this hit me.
I'm not saying it's a GOOD idea, but wouldn't it make a defendable amount of sense if the killers were 3rd person and survivors were 1st person camera views?
Technically survivors are supposed to be helpless in horror, right? And killers are supposed to have environmental insight that survivors don't have.
I understand that a 3rd person killer would be broken though. Survivors would have a hell of a time trying to get out of a chase.
Maybe all characters should be 1st person, although cosmetic sales would tank I'm sure, haha.
Otherwise, it'd be nice to get a base kit buff across the board I think.
Survivors get self care base kit at half speed, killers get shadowborn and/or predator or something base kit.
I don't know, I'm not a game dev. But I feel like BHVR could throw anything at the wall in any old PTB server and just see what sticks, right? Like the insane overwatch custom games, and I feel like maybe they should take advantage of that.
What do you guys think would make the game more evenly matched? Even if it's something buck wild like 2 killers, 15 generators, 8 survivors or something like that.
Or like my actual opinion, which is COMPLETELY REMOVE TOOLBOXES FROM THE GAME FOREVER ENTIRELY COMPLETELY FOR GOOD 😎
No. 3rd person killer would make killer harder to play, first person survivor destroys looping, and both go against the lore. Survivors are in 3rd person because they're just being observed by the Entity, and killers are in 1st person because they're being controlled by the Entity.

What about killers who dont have a power for chase? Legion, pig, wraith?
Without bloodlust the chase would never end against a good survivor, even tho a killer shouldnt over commit to a chase like this, bloodlust is fine i think.
No. As a killer main, just no. Bloodlust is outdated and needs to be removed. If you didn't know, this is how it works. You get a tier of BL every 15 seconds in a chase, up to a max. of 3. Each tier increases your movement speed by 5%.
It just rewards killers for not playing well. You should get a hit in chase every 15 seconds, meaning that BL should never activate for more than half a second, where it isn't needed. If you think BL is necessary, you need to get better at killer.
-
@HexSweetie said:
It’s severely situational on survivors and It’s still can be abused on killers, both parties aren’t happy.
Perhaps make it only activatable in a chase so outside of a chase it deactivates (i.e. carelessly fixing generator as killer is approaching, entering locker, etc.) and maybe get rid of the current actions that deactivates DS, with perhaps a bit increase of timer and maybe longer stun duration if you got chased right after you got unhooked? This perk is a mix of absence and abuse at the same time, it needs a change.
How would you rework DS?
thanks for reading.
This isn't very balanced. First of all, you can't do a gen with DS anymore, and second of all, getting into a locker is fine, because they still can't progress the game like they could before. You can leave and then come back, or just eat the DS and tunnel them later. I think that new DS is fine.

Have you tried huntress on Haddon? Killers that have strong hatchet game can completely obliterate you there. Freddy also helps with the ability to teleport to gens. These are some of the stronger killers I've seen for the map but I'm sure I'm missing some. Nurse also seems well suited for the map but Im not good as her so I can't say for sure.
As a nurse main, the map is not good for her, but not to the point where you can't win. There's just a lot of blink deadzones.

You can always do this as long as you're friends on the game or on the console. It doesn't matter where you are. You might lag a bit though.

1-The entitlement of the community. Most people, for some reason expect the other side to play the way they want, and when the other side doesn't do that, they get pissed. I feel like this seriously takes away from the fun of the game on both sides. You should only play for your own fun.
Maybe the devs should remove the endchat completely. It basically creates even more toxicity because it's mostly used for insults and bashing. It doesn't exist on the console either and players there still have the option to block messages in general so they don't get stalked and insulted. I personally don't care if someone insults me, but I know it annoys a lot of people immensely. Yes, you can block chat, but you want to write a gg sometimes and for that you have to open it again.
Why not remove the chat and build instead a "thumbs up" button, for each player individually. And if you think that this player played well and was nice, then you click on it and the player can see that he got a thumbs up. So the console player can also show that the match was exciting and fun and it creates a positive environment. The one who has a thumbs up can get a certain amount of blood points, for example 1000 or so, per player. And you can only rate each player once per day, so swf groups can't push each other's blood points up and abuse the system.
I'd like this, but it should be more like 50k. 1000 is nothing. And it would help with the grind, as well as rewarding playstyle that make the game fun for others. This is a perfect idea.

Yeah, whenever I play Plague, I have solid results, she is strong. But I dont really have fun.
Ok, regarding Buffs, I did not understand you correctly. I meant buffing weak things. Stuff which is already fine does not really need a Buff.
Regarding your Breakdown-Example: Yes, this would be something which would be too much. But I also wrote about that. This would be something which falls under "overdoing".
When it comes to Maps, sure, there are some Maps which are very strong for certain Killers, but I think this gets balanced out by Map Offerings being quite rare. You have to do a lot of Bloodwebs to get a Pile of your favorite Map Offerings.
It's RNG, which makes it really unpredictable. For example, I have over 100 of every non bloodpoint offering on Nurse. I didn't spend much time on her to get this either. It's just a matter of luck. That doesn't change how problematic it can be.

@MrPenguin said:
I see Myers roughly once-twice a day when I play, I wish I didn't see him in months. But some things I also see as problems include:
- As for #7 I wouldn't even say "top tier" its just "good" level play that things like Nurse and Survivors/gen speeds start to become overbearing for the other side without much they can do about it (in most cases) because of how the game is designed.
- idk if it would go along with #1 but a big problem in the game is people maining one side and not understanding at all the frustrations of the other while also accumulating a lot of misconceptions/misinformation due to their lack of a viewpoint of how it really is to play against something or how something works and its weaknesses. Then we got the ones who switch to the other side for 3 games and use their rank 20 experience to justify their previous stance. Common example: "lol killer is so easy I played for the first time and won 5 games in a row, nerf killers". Also the animosity the mains of either side usually has for the other is insane.
- This is more a factor on the survivor side of things, but in terms of perks another issues is perks that should be changed don't leading to players using the same build for eons and never changing it even if another perk gets buffed. For example new Lucky Break is great, but people aren't even going to try it out because they can just use the same old build they've been using for years and be fine or they "can't find room" in their build since they've grown dependent on the perks that have been meta for years.
Overall the OP has good points. I might not agree with the order and some of the details but the main points are solid imo.
The order was actually the hardest part of this. I couldn't decide where to place them all.
-

I have a question about 1. You said people should play for your own fun but there is a problem i noticed with that. So if they are playing for there own fun and that is how they have fun then it's fine to be toxic?
There's a difference between being an ######### intentionally and playing for your own fun.

Or just use empathy/alert and you will know where the kille is the same way you would with aftercare anyways, which takes longer to come online and stops working if you get hooked.
Empathy sucks. Well, not sucks, but it's use is too limited to be good. I only use it when going for flashlight saves. Alert us decent, but it doesn't stop you from accidentally leading the killer to teammates in a chase.

@Aven_Fallen said:
A few points:
"4-Unnecessary buffs. Some things that don't deserve to get buffed will get buffed anyways. This leads to it being abused to all hell and just making the game miserable for the other side until it gets nerfed again."
I think that this is how Buffs have to be done. Lucky Break with 90 seconds was a good idea by the Devs, because the Perk actually had the chance to become Meta. However, they chickened out and nerfed it, which just buffed the Perk from ######### to still #########, so nobody runs it.
They should do more, really bold Buffs and if they turn out too strong, they should nerf them with the next Patch - 1 1/2 months to test out the Buffs should be fine and as long as they are not overdoing it completely, an overbuffed Perk will not kill the game. If the Perk turns out to be too weak, they can do another Buff at a later point. Or, it turns out fine and we have a more diverse Meta.
"8-Some killers just being straight up boring to play. Another reason for not seeing certain killers is that some killers just aren't fun to play, even if they're powerful. For example, when's the last time you've seen a Plague? Or Twins?(I find Twins fun but most people don't, so I'm putting them as an example.)"
I like that you included Plague here. She is a strong Killer, but so boring to play.
"9-Map offerings. Some maps will make the game heavily in favor of one side. For example, Haddonfield, or Midwich against Huntress/Nurse."
I dont think that Map Offerings are a problem, some Maps are. Like, the problem is not the Strode Key, it is Haddonfield. However, I think it is fine that some Maps are survivor-sided and others are killer-sided, the extend is just too much currently.
Indoor Maps are another topic, especially Midwich sucks for both sides. But in general, people who like Indoor Maps are the minority.
I think that Midwich sucks for every killer that isn't Slinger, Nurse, Huntress, Hag(maybe), and possibly Trickster, but if it's one of those killers it sucks for the survivors. Who it sucks for just depends on who the killer is honestly.
I think that unnecessary buffs are an issue for things that are already balanced. Not weak things, but things that are perfect where they are.
About Plague, I think she's honestly a solid A to high B tier killer. But she's one of the most boring to play, which is why there aren't just as many Plagues as there are Spirits.
Map offerings still do tilt the balance towards one side. Especially for killers. You can't nerf a map just because a certain killer is good on it. That's why I put it on there. Sometimes the map doesn't need changes to be OP in certain situations.
Perks 100% can kill the game. Imagine if the Breakdown bug was intentional. That did break the game.

- So that will give time for the killer to get there and defend it better
That gives the killer nothing. The hatch can spawn anywhere. You try getting from one corner of the map to the other as Trickster to stop someone opening the hatch. People can't even handle the 20 seconds gate if they are far away and you want just 30 seconds for a hidden magic door in the ground?
- why are you having an aneurysm on a suggestion post?
Because it shows how ######### people here are. Throwing a party when Mori gets nerfed over and over to the point its useless but when the nerf for keys come they hope it's actually a buff and let's them open exit gates too. You have zero respect for killer players and the balance of the game.
Keys honestly aren't that good. Medkits are the best item. And this is coming from a killer main.

No it isnt. therei's a reason why nobody uses it. you lose all hard earned tokens when you are hooked, and you need to interact with other survivors first to get the effect. Kindred is simply just better because you will have aura reading on ALL survivors and give it to ALL survivors when the team needs it most, without an asinine requirement or drawback..
But Aftercare allows you to always know where the killer is at all times once you get it going. It's insane information. I was just commenting that it's never used.

Does it work on sleeping survivors?
No. It's TR based, and the lullaby doesn't count as a TR.

First off love the name and perk icon, Definitely fits Trickster. What are players thoughts on the perk? Too strong, too weak or balanced?
I want to know because it has become one of my favorite perks to run. I always get use out of it at least 2-3 times a game and I love it!!
which killers get better use of it? Let me know :)
It's overrated. The killers you get the most value out of it don't need it.

I think so too. However, I never see it in games.

I use aftercare from time to time.
And played 2 or 3 games against plague last night.
Lucky you! I wish I could go against her. But I haven't seen her in months.
Maybe Aftercare wasn't a good example. How about babysitter or poised?
