As a player that has been around DbD for a long time, there's something that always bugs me. Over the years, I have played mostly Killer. I always thought I wasn't really a great Survivor and didn't really put time into learning how to get better until recently, (say around a couple months ago, when the Bill rift started.) Now I have gotten to rank 1 for both Survivor and Killer multiple times, and can now say that I NEED to say this, because I'm wondering what others think.
In my opinion, Survivors get an abysmal amount of bloodpoints. You could have an absolutely perfect game as Survivor and STILL get less than Killer. Personally, I don't think this is fair. The grind in this game is overkill, and basically, everybody's only reliable source of bloodpoints is in Killer. This comes down to a few things. First, Survivors have to do a LOT in order to even get close to the same amount of bloodpoints as Killer. Unhook survivors, do multiple gens, survive in chase for a long while, cleanse totems AND get out of the trial ALIVE. Does anybody think this is fair?
You COULD argue that Survivors have some perks that help them with bloodpoints, like We're Going to Live Forever, but let's think for a moment. As a Killer, it isn't impossible to get hooks. Getting UNHOOKS however is not guaranteed. All it takes is one camping Killer and that perk won't help you at all. The other scenario is protection hits. So, you get a protection hit, and then the Killer comes for you. Then what? There's no saying that the Killer won't either camp you, or tunnel you down before you get all 4 stacks for that perk. Then you'd STILL get less than Killer.
So, what's holding back Survivors? There's no guarantee that you'll live. You could die within minutes of starting a game, and it just ends up being a complete waste of time. What could help? I had a few ideas. First, bring in more perks that help with bloodpoint gain. Right now, there's only 3 on the Survivor side that helps with bloodpoints, and only 2 of them are really worth using. If there were BETTER conditions for collecting bloodpoints with Survivors, they might actually get a decent amount for once.
My next idea might be a hot take, but here it goes. I think Survivors should naturally get more bloodpoints than Killers. Let me explain why I suggest this, before you disagree. When you play as a Survivor, there is always a possibility that you will die, no matter how well you do. At the end of the day, your survival and the amount of bloodpoints you earn comes down to the performance of your team, and you're playing as perfectly as you can. However, how many times can you say that you often live, without your team making a bunch of mistakes that gets you all killed? Solo queue is the best example of what I mean. This is why hardly ANYBODY solo queue's. Things can be different if your SFW, but is that fair for everyone else?
My point is this: A Survivor does not live every game. And even when they DO live, they can still get LESS than a Killer that failed to 4K. Dying sucks, but waiting a long while to get into a game, dying within a few minutes with earning less than 5K bloodpoints sucks even more. I think Survivors would stick around more/give up less/DC less, if they are REWARDED for toughening it out and continuing to try, until the very end. The system I suggest is RISK-REWARD. If you are playing Survivor, even if you're excellent at running the Killer around, there's no guarantee that you'll live. You could spend a whole game without being able to even TOUCH a gen, which -- alone -- wouldn't give you much bloodpoints at all.
What incentive do Survivors have to stick around if their team is struggling, they are getting camped or they are getting tunneled to death? If you are PUNISHED because of a way your team or the Killer is playing, you have NO incentive to stay, or to keep trying. I think Survivors should be rewarded MORE for sticking to their guns and bearing with the pain of a bad trial, because no matter what anybody says, Survivors always get less than Killer, and I think this system would be fair. Especially for Survivors that have to play without any friends to help them.
What do you all think? Do you think any of my ideas are good? What would YOU do to fix bloodpoints for Survivors?
Did not the whole thing sry,
But use
were gonna live forever
Borrowed time
Deliverence
Provethyself
And bring a map can track killer belongings or a toolbox to sabo
You'll be swimming in bp more than the killer in half your games before bonus bp
-
I think the zombies should get faster with each infected survivor
-
We needs twins power to be nerfed so the devs can feel comfortable letting use hit a survivor with victor and switch to Charlotte without use feeling like we had to wait through a match que time during our match
It's just exhausting and feels bad
-
Bp limit was initially implemented because hackers were giving themselves unlimited BP and/or ridiculous Bp multipliers per match
However that's not really a thing anymore and the grind is hard enough. They could at least raise the cap to 2 mil
-
His add-ons need a rework everyone is glad double charge rate and cool down addons are gone, but pls give him something relevant use. His add-ons are just sad right now.
Side note low pro chains are perfect love them

It isn't up to the DBD developers. Direct your anger towards Microsoft and specifically Sony who allegedly are against cross progression and "fine" the developers of the game the amount of revenue they estimate to lose from cosmetic purchases on other platforms.
It doesn't really matter what the reason is, it's 2021 and cross progression is pretty standard stuff

Yes, but the 5th anniversary crowns look better and at the rates the games going it won't be around long enough for the crowns to become special.
The player base was 1 tenth of it's current size when legacy became a thing and only an even smaller amount of players got and kept legacy after that (rip every who lost legacy because the devs made mistakes)
The crowns were and will be easy to get and gotten by a very large amount of players. In comparison dbds player base would need to increase 10 fold and have half the players that earn crowns to have those crowns or accounts deleted by a behavior error to have crowns be as special as legacy.
Having said that I'd say odds are 50 50

How many sequential hits can you get before you miss for any reason (recoil, survivor dodged, terrain, etc.), based on the distance to the survivor?
Aim? I just put on 15 extra knifes and richote addon lol it's so bad but so fun

I'm bummed that I will almost certainly never get that "3 blink grab" nurse achievement. Grabs are buggy as hell as it is and now to 3 blink, you need an add on that doesn't let you go through walls.
Short of just farming it with someone, I'm not sure it's possible to get organically playing the game...
If you use double recharge addons and use the 3 third blink a second or two after it charges up you can still get the achievement it's how I got it
-
Just got this achievement a couple months ago, it's rough
-
Everyone read about items and Franklins right ex. Flashlights toolboxes and medkits? The crown wasn't apart of this or mentioned at all in the post
-
Trickster needs a good reason to use his knifes over m1
I'd give survivors a debugf when injured by blades until fully healed like mangled, hemerage, and an action speed slowdown basekit

The last thing you need to learn is where the uninstall option is on your platform and how to redownload it a week later

I don’t use them, I’m saying that the strongest killer in the game doesn’t need add ons like this.
Since the rework spirit is the strongest killer in the game. Nurse has greater potential but had counter play and can be punished for mistakes. Spirit is simple, strong, and takes away counter play.

Because of "technical reasons" aka they didn't release the updated model so he's disabled until the RE chapter.
This game is such a [BAD WORD] show lol

Amen, good luck trying to trap anyone in Coldwin Farm, bright as day in that map XD
I've had mixed results with randomly placed corn traps.
Always hilarious tho

@piggygooik said:
by what i mean is that will trapper be good without a rework and just buffs. he is a weak killer and is very outdated. stat buffs would be nice for him but overall he might need a rework to come to any thing close to someone like demo
what are your thoughts
Right now his biggest issue is reduction in grass with each update and just not being able to hide traps anywhere anymore. The devs just don't care about him anymore. They need to make the game look better to make up for the fact they can't code it to work properly.
And as a result trapper gets an indirect nerf with each map rework and brightness change.
-
Trapper you'll laugh and feel good everytime someone gets caught in a trap and it'll never get old

No

People gonna say : but spirit was nerf at the 3.4.2 update so what's the problem ?
We have many problem with this killer, like :
- stridor is too strong
- low addons rarity but really effective ( speed / duration )
- too low cooldown ( 10 secs )
- no signal when she activate his power
That's all for me btw
Really, do one of these changes please
Only thing I want is subtle sign she's using her power
Side note: I HAVE A DREAM should be followed by A DREAM WHERE (insert dream)

Tunnel and eat those DS hits my man

Pyramid head needs his cake unnerfed

Don't care how they do it I just want more zombies, wouldn't care if they were just for show

It’s been added deal with it. We lgbtq+ are overjoyed to have a little charm that despite it being a small and has clipping issues... it just means the world to us. If killers/survivors go out of their way to harass people because of the charm then we can only hope they get a just and swift ban.
Not against the charm completely against ppl getting bans over it
-
If something happens to make me actually laugh I call it a win, otherwise it's just another bp grind game
-
I would take away the ability to pick yourself up (it's usually just abused with glitches and hacks anyway)
Take away the effect it has on grunts of pain and blood trails
Add a 100% bonus bp effect after the trial
I'm short a hard mode perk in exchange for an escape cake
-
I wonder if running both will counter strider like off the record or no mother plus iron will does/ues to due to how sound is calculated
-
The pigs traps add a layer of RNG that makes her op or underwhelming with little to no in-between, especially with certain add-ons. I think we'd all love more consistent traps and a buff to pig dash and/or stealth
-
I'm not really a fan of the yellow bottle wish they would make a bottle that made a giant area of Los smoke that the clown can see through but not have a slow down effect
-
Compared to other games for see it like it buy it cosmetics dbd is line with everyone else. Especially since most cosmetics can be grinded for.
Dbd is actually kind of spoiled when I comes to this stuff.
Shout out to whoever is in charge of monitization the prices are reasonable and ALOT of content is grindable
-
Firecrackers and the new flashbang if it also impairs hearing can help but other than that spirit with a headset and good add-ons is just the best and easiest thing right now it takes skill away from the survivors
-
I love haddenfeild with self opening traps iron grasp and agitation
-
I just want sacrificial ward to not be consumed if no one brings a map offering
-
If every player took this challenge the overall karma of the community would plunge hard enough to make the Buddha dbds next killer
-
There's enough console players to que up in either role with cross-play off and get a match in a couple of minutes at anytime at any rank
-
Lethal pursuer might replace corrupt intervention on my Micheal and plague. Been thinking of putting it on nurse but I love BBQ sloppy nurses infectious on her.

I think its likely about the graphic setting. I play in Ultra which is the shadow is quite dense make traps harder to see.
But your settings are irrelevant, the survivors settings determine the visibility. And the graphics settings shouldn't affect the gameplay in this way at all. A blending/shimmering camo effect like the wraiths while moving cloaked would be a great catch all for current and future game states.

@C3Tooth said:
As Trapper main, I dont think darken trap should be a basekit. On many maps, Tar bottle gives you ability to set trap in open place and survivors dont see it. Which is powerful.
Default traps should be only placed in well hidden place (grass & steps..). The problem that the grass & steps on some maps are very little to make trap work (especially in door map). If you look at new Coldwind realm, even the sky is bright, his traps are powerful there because the volume of grass is massive.
He needs some QoL as carry 2 traps, trap spawns far away from the map boundary.
I disagree trappers traps are extremely noticable in grass on reworked maps

Oh noooo, a rainbow charm is going to destroy your experience noooooooooo
I love the charm I'm indifferent on people's sexual preference. I don't like that people can get banned for tunneling or camping Because the survivor had the charm. I tunnel and camp with equality

Then they can remove the references of straight relationships in the game in the case of Claudette’s parents, Felix, Nurse, etc. Gay relationships in games hurt nobody, there is no argument against this.
If there was no argument we wouldn't be having an argument. An I agree there's no need for any sexuality at all. This is a video game not health Ed.

Also, just as a side note. The burden of educating isn’t on minorities. It’s 2021, google exists and nobody has an excuse for their ignorance anymore.
Just a side note maybe video games could just be a place to game?
