Proof that this is a thing? It’s a much bigger concern that people will get tunnelled because they’re wearing it.
I'm willing to bet money on it 💰

I'm just making this discussion because twitter is exploding with people who loved the charm and homophobics who didn't like it.
I fully support behavior by introducing this charm. They not only shows great support from the company, but also the way that they introduced this theme to the game. In a simple and responsible way and at no time did they seem to be trying to earn social points.
But I wanted to understand more from people who don't agree with this charm. what is the problem so profound with this being in the game?
Most people support it I don't care either way. I just don't like that survivors are going to wear it on every character so they can try to get killers banned for camping or tunneling
-
I'll be taking a break once this auto-ban gets implemented I spent to much money on dlcs to watch my account get banned because swfts hate getting 4kd and killers hate getting blinded

Nah. I hate seeing Urban. Does that make Urban good? No, it just makes it really annoying.
Different kind of hate

You know what makes a perk good? When everyone hates seeing it
Paraphrasing Puppers

Self-care is the best killer perk

Or they could adept and deny whole her power in total and cleanse at endgame... We did all gens tho but she had unlimited source of her power and she stomped whole team except me that found hatch
Sounds like 1 fountain reset away from a four man escape. To bad not everyone cleansed and instead one guy stayed sick and infected everyone he unhooked healed and worked on a gen with throughout the game

I know what are her add ons shz had no extra coorupt pools and she starts with one and after she picks it it's gone bye bye she can maybe get 1 down with that one pool unlike unlimited power they fed her with I think we all know how powerful corrupt is and if they wanted to feed her with it it's on them I haven't cleansed I did 4 gens 2 unhooks and found hatch and ran her around for 2 mins until smarties decided to cleanse all in same time instead doing gens while I'm wasting her time
If that's true lost because your team wasn't doing gens not because of cleansing. But unless you have the match recorded you sound to me like your exaggerating your role in the game a bit

I don't see how I'm wrong one in this situation? I'm running her around they cleanse all in same time and do nothing because they won't touch gen because it's infected
It's not about you being wrong, in the situation you described your way of playing can be the correct one, but when you noticed the other survivors cleansing and taking a different approach than you, that was your opportunity to adapt. The two different approaches to plague don't mix. I won't say it's anyone's fault just a failure to communicate

The plague starts the trial with one active fountain and can bring up to 2 more through add-ons, the big take away you should learn from this is you can't control others or their actions only your own.
By sticking to your never cleanse strat you were always injured so you going in for a safe unhook was never an option and the fountains were never reset to rob the killer of her power, the single biggest contribution you could have made.
By not adjusting You left your team to play a 3 v killer

I never cleanse against plague until pool resets she can pick power 3 times enough to stomp whole squad like the one I got matched with
Sounds like you need to adapt more, had you cleansed along with your team you could have denied the killer a ton of power. Playing against the plague now is alot different then on her release.

Do you have any tips for playing the demo? Do you have any tips for making better use of his powers? Good builds are also welcome.
Thanks for helping ;)
Be mindful of your portals once there all set if you need a new one you have to hope survivors close one. Also your slower than survivors when holding your shred base kit so be careful when using shred at loops.
-
I just want static fall stagger reduction it doesn't have to no stagger like beta or even 75% like balanced landing after it's buff that was later reverted. It just feels so bad and ugly to fall as a survivor in this game.
-
@TGB said:
Just show the buff aura immediately... Don't have it wait until the Survivor gets hit...
As it is right now, it's basically a 5th Perk, to put it as shortly as possible.
----
As it is right now, you LEARN that somebody has it by hitting a Survivor and then they glow white... but you're now stuck in place on attack cooldown animation. And that's a huge loss. That's an escaped Survivor, you lost 'em.
And not only that, but you have this on potentially 3 more Survivors, too.
But maybe not!
And that's the REAL kicker.
That's why it's a 5th Perk. The only way to counterplay it is to assume they have it. You can't afford to swing at them in order to learn. But, my freaking god, it's TWELVE SECONDS!! I have to ride their buttcheeks for TWELVE SECONDS, just based on the assumption that they are buffed by their rescuer.
But maybe they AREN'T! Maybe the rescuer does NOT have Borrowed Time! But since I have to respect it anyway, then they basically DO have it, now, don't they?
And then for the ultimate "mind games," if you end up testing it and learn that they DO have Borrowed Time... now you kind of assume EVERYONE will have it. But, again, maybe not! Maybe only that ONE guy has it, and unhooked a Surv, and you smacked 'em. And maybe that was going to be the only time anyone was ever Enduranced all game. But, alas, you spent the rest of the game respecting a non-existent buff for TWELVE SECONDS each time just because you really cannot afford not to.
....
UGH. It's just pure misery.
Is this ever talked about??? It seems like a very obvious & glaring issue, to me.
Maybe the guy getting unhooked deserves the chance to try and play the game for 12 seconds between hooks?

I was hoping the post would contain a picture of a cute little pig... 🐷

@KA149108 said:
Ok so seriously we need to discuss survivors popping gens when a fellow survivor has a trap on thier head. If the killer has ruin or its the last gen then I get it pop it. BUT majority of the time you are killing that team member. Especially if pig put add ons so you can't even be stealthy you have to bolt it to boxes but then you get found and then have no time to get the trap off.
I know some will make the sarcastic comment saying "just don't get downed" but hey ho ######### goes down.
More people need to think about this especially when the killer has add ons. Even if you give the survivor 20 seconds just to get a head start on the boxes before you pop the gen it helps.
No

it's so annoying it took me 800 hours to finally get to rank one, now it dropped me down to rank 9, its going to take me forever to get back up to red ranks
800hrs to get rank 1? Do you only play a few hrs a week?
-
Yeah practice for when actually start streaming
-
Dbd while it has its flaws is in the best state it's ever been. Also most of the perks alluded to in the original post are niche and memey ex. no one runs distortion except for Jeff's adept. One more thing people forget is just how much survivors base kit has been nerfed into the ground compared to the old days of vacuum vaults/pallets and when balanced landing was base kit.
-
I think a BP bonus for killers if they get 12 hooks would be a step in the right direction without needing to touch perks or mechanics
-
Iron maiden, infectious fright, force penance, and bbq
-
Chasing Janes all day just does that to a guy ya'know?
-
I agree that hook grabs should be removed but only because I think it's silly that survivors and killers get stuck in this stupid situation of faking and trying to anticipate server latency. It just makes the game look even worse.

I understand some of you like to play the good samaritan card, but that Jake/Kate/Meg you allowed to escape after a 3K steamroll did NOT deserve the escape.
Please, for the love of all things that exist, get your 4K. You have no idea how much I wanna throw myself off of a cliff when the guy who sat in the corner of the map all game, didn’t touch a gen, didn’t save off hook, and teabagged behind a building while we were getting chased, slashed and dashed get a free escape. Please, take your 4K! You RIGHTFULLY deserve it.
END RANT.

I need the bad survivor to pip with me so I can get them again later

I am always impressed by the inventiveness of "some" SWF groups. I've now run across two different groups who have a trick for avoiding maps they don't like. If they load into a map they don't like, one of them disconnects in time to cancel the match. Naturally, that one will take the (5) minute ban. Next time they get a map they don't like, a different member does it and so on, round and round she goes.
Because the chances of getting one of the disliked maps isn't that great, the number of disconnects each one takes isn't enough for the Ban to build up beyond 5 minutes. Interesting scam? If this ever becomes commonplace, I would hope the Bans start applying to the ENTIRE SWF who joined together from a Lobby.
This sounds like a really bad idea someone had and their friends told them about map offerings so they didn't go along with it. But the idea guy still thought he was smart asf so he made a post for his idea seeking some kind of confirmation.

I started a game with my friend who is yellow rank (im red rank) I looped the killer during 4 generators.
Then the team got 3 gen...
The killer didnt wanted to chase me, or other survivors. He was just kicking over and over the last 3 generators.
I told my friend to start a different generator from mine but they were so close.
I was wondering "where are the Claudette and Kate" (they were swf too each other)
They were searching for the hatch with a key.... but the hatch wasnt spawn, we had to do one more generator..
It was the worst experience of dbd Ive ever had. I dont want to play with my low rank friend anymore... I play with him because he is my friend, but clearly I lost my time during this game.
I think the devs should had a secret timer, after 30min the end game collapse begin, whatever happen, idk but never again.
Next time I will just disconnect.
Both the Claudette and the killer were "game-hostaging" but they didnt knew they were.....
I complain about red ranks games being too fast, but yellow ranks games are too long lol
Sounds like an easy win the gen regresses half the speed of the gen work two gens at once run when he comes run back when he leaves as long as you don't miss skill checks it gets done
-
Get a 4 man swf que time is instant
For killer que is always quick no more than 2 or 3 minutes
-
Because it's a good perk

I would like a perk that makes hex totems appear dull and a perk that makes dull totems appear lit

Trap the locker?
-
Isn't killer supposed to have a weak early game? The gen to hook ratio should be in favor of the survivors at the start. It's after your first down you get to start applying real pressure yourself and start snowballing.
-
You could say this post is "corrupt intervention" ;D
-
It gets you a little bp if nothing else, I like to aim in the air above the gen as I'm approaching it to hit from a distance and chance to get a cheeky infect on anyone still working it.
-
Hello I believe you get more traps the larger the map is and the reason is probably because they don't want to many traps spawning on smaller maps. Another reason for high variance in trap numbers might be the bag addon you bring has I believe the traps you bring with bag add-ons are bonus traps. So going to a large map with no bag addon v.s going to a small map with the purple bag would exasperate that gap.

Trapper really isn't my main, so I don't feel it's my place to offer advice on him. If you are looking for good advice on playing Trapper, I can't think of many people who play him better than Not Otzdarva on YT. I'm also personally fond of Theentitylefthand on twitch - but some people find his roleplay to be a bit off-putting (he has a very friendly community though)
As for common tricks that most killers can learn - probably the thing that will help you the most is learning how to hide your red stain when rounding corners. (red stain is a light that projects in front of you that survivors can see, but you can't see) That red stain can be seen by survivors before you come into view as you approach corners, so learn how to hide it by looking away from corners and other edges your approaching and you'll throw many mediocre survivors off their game a bit by giving them a little less time to respond to your appearance.
Thank you I'll have to practice this

When I started playing a lot of Trapper I found Otz's videos a ton of help in terms of trap placement. The build I mentioned above is my basic M1 killer build that I use on Trapper, Ghostface, Pig, Plague, Wraith, etc. I've found it to be a good overall build on 115% speed killers that don't have a strong chase power. The downside is needing to grind out Trapper, Meyers, Clown, and Bubba for it. For basic perks, NOED isn't bad, I'd swap Deer Stalker for Sloppy Butcher as a basic slow down, and maybe stick with Bitter Murmur or Whispers for tracking. I you prefer to play at Basement Trapper and tracking isn't much of an issue for ya then try Iron Grasp instead with Agitation.
Thank you for the tip on sloppy butcher I think it's helped alot

First thing I would do is put bloodpoints into the Cannibal to unlock bbq and chili. Not only is it a decent perk, but it will double your bloodpoints. Run that on your killer of choice and use the extra bloodpoints to level up other killers and unlock all the perks you want.
thank you cannibal might be the next I get but I might hold off until I want to try the killer out as well

If you don't want to depip and keep trying to climb with Trapper the build I use is Brutal Strength, Pop, Save The Best For Last, and BBQ. It allows you to get back into the chases faster after pallet breaks or getting enough STBFL stacks which cover Trapper's biggest weakness.
If you want to depip and don't mind losing a lot lot lot of games in a row I recommend picking up and learning Nurse or Trickster.
Thank you, I'll try some chase and stall perks I have, not many tho. But I really enjoy trapper I think I'll stick with him and see where the system puts me
