Those who admit the weakness in himself is strong. If you never admit the weakness, you’ll never be strong.

People say clown is bad does not mean disrespect. They wish he can be better. Do you want to leave him be at current state, or do you want devs to buff him?

He's fine chase wise as is right now, the only problem he still has is he can't get from point A to point B because he's not someone like Blight. I always wanted for Clown to have a bottle that he drinks that makes him go super fast for map mobility, but didn't get that sadly. For some reason the devs are very hesitant on giving certain killers no map mobility, and the only solution to help them is to make maps smaller. The only changes I'd make to Clown right now is to give him Sticky Soda Bottle as basekit, buff the invigorated effect by a little bit, get rid of that stupid grunt noise he makes when he vaults, and make his ultra rares actually useful instead of being garbage.

I just don’t think Clown is good and provides extremely boring gameplay on both sides. It’s just “drop pallet early and move to the next loop” for the survivor and “chuck bottle and kick the pallet that the survivor inevitably drops early” for the Clown. He’s just personally not fun for me.

You have killers who can teleport, go through walls, go invisible, have insta-downs, use a harpoon, throw hatchets, etc...and what does Clown do? Chuck bottles that slightly inconvenience the survivor.

He’s just a Freddy that can’t teleport or have any sort of map pressure :/

    Sorry I just don’t like Clown’s gameplay.

Funny that you say he's just a Freddy even though Freddy ripped off Clown's power with his rework, and he ripped off Hag as well by being able to teloport although he can't do it as much as Hag can.

  • For someone who's a Clown like myself, you can probably guess who I main.

  • May I offer you this Nurse guide from OhTofu? It's from last year, but still a pretty good guide for people who our new to Nurse.

    https://youtu.be/BwYQImUDgXo

Also PS5 will be good to learn Nurse, since the frames are pretty consistent at 60 fps and you won't have to bear losing frame rates.

Tru3 has used clickbait sounding youtube titles for a long time so there's that. But there's no doubt he made mistakes in that game and is reluctant to admit it. Lately he's way off his game and just seems extra tilted even though his ego is at an all time high. Personally I think he spends way too much time reading his chat looking for people to argue with that he's just distracted.

Tru3's undoubtedly a good player, but he's been having more and more trouble keeping track of the game lately. He can't keep track of who was hooked and constantly gets caught out by DS when he used to be so anal about it. On survivor he'll just criticize his teammates for not doing things he's not doing either. His awareness just seems completely shot and he's not playing his best. He seems really frustrated with the game right now and that he's not enjoying it.

I say this as someone who has always kind of enjoyed watching Tru3 as a guilty pleasure even though I do recognize why a lot of people dislike him. I tend to turn him off when he gets to be too much and starts arguing heavily with chat. He acts like he's the most logical being on earth and nobody understands the game as well as he does. Many of his criticisms of the game are valid, but he has this crazy victim complex and just can't let it go when anyone says the smallest thing that disagrees with him. He gets damn near insufferable and just can't stop. Lately it's just all the time and he seems like he's on a crazy downward spiral and desperately needs to take some vacation or something.

Not to mention he also recently last week was acting toxic to a couple of random survivors, and got tilted cause they were body blocking for each other. If he isn't having fun playing the game then just play something else, it's unreal how much he can complain about stuff and still sit there every single day on his stream playing a game he struggles to have fun with. If he's such a know it all on fighting games then he should go back to doing fighting games, but all he does is simp for a game that he tries to like. Everyone that used to be a fan that are no longer a fan of him knows he needs to take a break because he is getting burnt out on the game, hell I get burned out a lot on DBD as well and it would be unbearable of being a Fog Whisperer having to be forced to play a game that I can't bear to play every day just to keep a partnership.

  • You know a really good anti cheat system would be good right about now, guess I'll be getting a one month ban from hackers.

Just gotta ask, what is it with Clown mains constantly posting about how he's good or underrated?

We're on strike at the moment, because we're tired of our big boi getting disrespected.

  • I disagree with Freddy over Hag personally

If you want to convince people then please show some actual gameplay that clearly shows the uses of the antidote.

Would be better than the video from Otz

I'll have to look through some videos I've clipped, of course I would use gameplay that I'm satisfied with.

  • @Beefmur said:

so you get 4 bottles default freddy gets 8 or 9 blood traps default. he can set them up in advance. The only thing clown can do is get a hit at killer shack (if they dont just run)

Freddy has to place his slowdown, while Clown can just throw his slowdowns right at you. I even did an experiment the other night between the two as to who can perform much better on the new Game map, and Clown did much better compared to Freddy.

  • @Rivyn said:

I wouldn't say bad, just tedious. One bad throw, and you reward survivors, waste a bottle/s, or get nothing from it. You're micromanaging something that really shouldn't need to be micromanaged.

You know I would like to ask the devs the thought process of giving survivors speed up from Clown's antidote bottles, might do that for their next Q&A.

  • @Exerath1992 said:

Mah man, this guy gets it. People say its "underwhelming" because it doesn't make you move like billy, but those tiny situational bursts of speed can mean ending a chase significantly sooner, getting to a hook or gen just in time to contest it, you can throw at your feet before you pick up to increase your carrying speed, its great for catching up to a survivor in the open who is good at dodging tonics, etc.

It can help on Midwich against survivors who do the whole running forward thing, but I still wouldn't be trying to use it for map traversal until I know I've pretty much won.

  • @Beefmur said:

imagine using a killer who has 4 bottles and has to reload when you can teleport through walls or go invisible

Still better at chasing than Freddy in my honest opinion

  • @Crowman said:

I don't the antidote is bad per say. I just think the use cases where the antidote will make a difference are very small. Doesn't help that using both antidote and tonic at a loop use half of Clown's base ammo.

But the three second reload makes up for that

  • @SilentPill said:

I still think they are pretty bad. They can make some unsafe loops more unsafe, but won’t do anything special at really safe loops like jungle gyms or the shack.

The survivor throws the pallet and that’s that. But you wasted extra time and bottles mixing the gases when you could have just used a purple and they probably would have camped the pallet anyways because you are clown.

It also takes a long time to set them up, making them not very useful on indoor maps for mobility.

They can be decent with addons but those are addons that would make the (far superior) purple bottles even better. Hitting someone with a bleach + ether bottle is devastating and it’s only if someone is camping an unsafe loop that you have time to set up both gas types. But it’s an unsafe loop against clown so chances are you could have just used more purples for the same hit anyways.

I honestly don't think there is such thing as wasting bottles on Clown unless you're spamming through them without even thinking

  • @gibblywibblywoo said:

It's not that its bad, its that its so situational and saves so little actual time that its just disappointing. Clown still plays practically identical, still countered by dropping the pallet early and forcing a reload, except now he can waste his bottles to also give the survivors a buff.

Yeah, most people are wasting the bottles for map traversal over using it at loops, but the time spent throwing, switching and eventual (unavoidable) reloads make it practically even out the time saved/lost.

I've been watching some of Otz road to 50 wins for Clown and the times he used the antidote to try and get a play at a pallet before the drop, he could have just gotten a trade for in less time and taken the pallets power away.

All in all I'm incredibly disappointed that after all this time waiting, this is what the devs thought Clown needed.

You only waste your bottles if you're just spamming through them instantly, which I've seen people still tend to do. I currently just started watching Otz 50 win Clown streak, so this is gonna be enjoyable for me to watch.

  • @camperlivesmatter said:

I bet my dlcs that the majority of people saying clown is bad are from the people who just either didn’t play him after his buff , never played him or just jumped on the bandwagon .

i faced alot of clown killers on my games and they are pretty hard to escape . Especially a good clown

Seems like everyone does like to jump on the bandwagon that Clown is bad, all just cause a certain streamer says it that it automatically means that they're right. Quite pathetic how some people use streamers opinions as facts, instead of coming up with their own.

By miles. Clown will always end a chase faster than Freddy.

But people think he's still weak? I guess people don't see what you and I see in Clown

  • Someone probably set off a bomb or something, that's the only reason I can find as to why it's so damn dark.

  • Every killer match I would see that perk consistently about a month ago, thankfully not seeing it as much now.

  • Apparently MMR will predict the outcome of matches before they even start, so basically if I'm gonna play Spoopy Myers then I guess the MMR will say I lose.

  • I think we're gonna see a major steamrolling on release day with the Trickster

  • Well the only answer I can give you is...

A.) People use IRI Head probably cause they get tired of losing, and probably get toxic survivors.

    Or

B.) They're just literal tryhards at the game, and need to brag about winning.

I wouldn’t even call the Freddy Rework a rip off.

If someone attempts a hook save while Freddy is meters away, he can’t throw a snare at them to interrupt it.

The Snares vs Bottles comparison is ludicrous at best.

Clown's better at chasing than Freddy honestly

  • At least with Clown you have to use your brain now with the inclusion of the antidote, which people keep saying is bad but still don't understand how to actually use it. All Freddy ever did was ripoff Clown when he got reworked, then gets his basekit buffed way much, and then just became a rather boring no skilled needed killer. Also I did experiments yesterday between Clown and Freddy as to who can perform better with their power on the Pallet Plant map, and I will say I had a much better time playing Clown on Game map compared to Freddy. It's the fact that Clown can throw his tonic bottles and get a hit before survivors can drop the pallet or even make it to it, and knowing how to use the antidotes helped as well. When I did Freddy I was mainly getting no use for the first three gens out of my power since he has to place snares, whereas Clown can just throw his power right at you. It was mainly going from pallet to pallet having to break so much, but once I finally got rid of all the strong pallets I managed to dominate easily with Freddy. Both games were wins, but Clown performs much better on Game map compared to Freddy even if there is pallets into pallets.

  • MMR is not looking very promising

  • I just hope they don't make the blue tint the map has ugly as hell like they did to Autohaven

  • Judging by what his backstory is he would be perfect lore wise, he killed little kids, stuffed them inside animatronics, then their souls haunted him, and so he decided to hide in the SpringTrap outfit to then getting his body smashed inside the animatronic in result killing himself. Therefore his soul taking over SpringTrap, and he's the reason why Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy are what they became. Yeah his lore is pretty dark, and the Entity would love it. But the most questioning thing about SpringTrap is gameplay wise what would he do? Maybe implementing something with the other animatronics would do something for him to make him interesting, but don't know what else can be done for an animatronic. Also need to point out that Scott Cawthon said he doesn't plan on doing any partnerships as of right now for FNAF, and it doesn't help that a BHVR dev said they had no idea what FNAF was. So SpringTrap being in Dead By Daylight is looking very low right now, but never say never.

Does MMR go back in the oven for another year, Behaviour?

It probably should it clearly is not working as it's intended to, might be different for other people but I expected it to be what I thought it would be.

  • I don't see any difference compared to last time, getting matched up with people who clearly don't have the same experience as me.

  • The live servers are basically the PTB

  • My first survivor match was against a rank 16 Wraith, and he didn't have the best of perks and add ons. Poor guy get sent to HaddonField because someone picked a map offering, so far I'm not expecting this to be good.

  • It'll be here when we finally have about 100 survivors and killers on the roster

People know that Twins are strong but most people hate playing as and against them because their optimal playstyle is pretty boring and unfun (a ton of slugging + proxy camping the hooks).

    Also,their perks are utter trash.

    Literally this

  • Wraith potentially may finally be at least a B Tier killer

  • My personal tier list

    my-image.png

  • All I can say is eh really. Maybe there could be more buffs for him on release day, but I don't see it happening sadly. The Wraith change will be nice at least, Blight POV change is also nice but sadly I can't play him as good as his PC version since I'm on console. Overall potentially another letdown of a chapter for another killer, the devs have once again showed that they don't care much for PTB feedback.

  • Do Zarina next because she waifu material

  • I always thought of making Ruin basekit since the devs don't want to change the early game up for survivors to find parts to work on gens, but I definitely would make it to where gens don't regress at Sonic speed that it currently does with Ruin. I think medium speed regression would be fine if it was basekit

Uhm, you basically just made my point. Why are we talking about one of the slowest learning content creators when we have Scott or Otz who are not only mechanically way better but also have much more game knowledge objectively speaking? Do you remember how long it took tru3 to understand the friggin legion or plague powers? That was the last time when I watched his PTB videos before stopping entirely.

It also took Tru3 a good six months to learn how to actually play DeathSlinger, because all he would ever do is play him like Huntress. Then starts saying he's weak, and not acknowledging the fact that he simply wasn't good at DeathSlinger. But for some reason he never wants to admit that he isn't good at certain killers, because of his ego honestly. As soon as I stopped watching Tru3 for how toxic he started acting, I just went to watching Otz because it felt like such a breath of fresh air honestly.

  • @Yumyumtasty said:

Well he might be played for the daddy-effect of myers by korea-boos BUT how often do you see myers in redranks? I rarely see him, same will probably go for trickster.

I see Myers a lot no matter if it's red or purple ranks

  • Honestly Dead By Daylight does have some skill to it, but the skill ceiling to the game is very low not gonna lie. There are certain killers who take a lot of skill of learning like Nurse and Blight, but killers such as Trapper or Myers more so require game knowledge. Compare DBD to a fighting game, and obviously fighting games require so much time, effort, and lots of skill put into it if you're gonna be good at all the characters. DBD can only come close to doing that with Nurse, but other than that DBD doesn't possess a high skill ceiling compared to a fighting game.

  • I give it another three years until he starts having anime powers such as the kamehameha, and starts flexing on you with Jojo poses.

  • How can you not want Jill Valentine!?

  • @AChaoticKiller said:

I would put blight in A tier and PTB wraith in B tier

A good blight is very deadly in a chase and has map pressure, PTB wraith gets a lot of cloak hits and also has good map pressure.

Twins can't be higher than C i don't care what you rate them either because they are only good against uncoordinated teams that don't know how to play against them. If you face a team that is coordinated and knows how to verse twins by abusing lockers to make her never mass slug then she is on the same level if not worse then D tier.

Blight's gonna be between S or A Tier until I see how a lot of the PC players do with him, Wraith is probably the biggest question mark out of them all.

This gave me an idea of playing swf but everyone has the pallet replenish perk, the new pallet exhaustion perk, windows of opportunity, and something else obnoxious on gideons. It would be miserable but mildly hilarious

I definitely plan on trying that once I get that perk, hell people are probably gonna be burning Game map offerings the day of the new chapter.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

I honestly can never imagine Clown on the same tier of Huntress or Deathslinger because these two killers are light-years ahead in chase potential. Demo and Plague should be B tier imo.

Well Huntress has some maps where she can struggle to get survivors, Clown's pretty good on a lot of them except the newly Pallet Plant map.

  • @Phasmamain said:

I love clown as much as you probably do but he’s not as good as plague

Good job putting Myers at D most people overrate him

Id put Ghostface down to C since he has to chase as an M1 killer a lot

Pig could go in D just due to her power being addon reliant and rng based

    Otherwise very good!

The problem that I have with Plague is her inconsistent power, and her fountains basically being RNG based just like Trapper's traps. She's to inconsistent with the servers because her puke whether it be vile or purge just acts like the survivors have an invisible barrier behind their backs. If the devs ever get around to giving her quality of life improvements, she'll definitely move up to B Tier for me.

Mookel is basically Budget Decrease GhostFace.

I thought for awhile of wearing I wanted to put GhostFace before submitting the Tier List, at first had him at C then changed my mind to B. Reasons why is he's so good at stealth, and if you're good at marking survivors can catch them off guard and get a free down. Also doing hit and run is pretty good for him.

Pig isn't that bad like everyone says imo, but she definitely isn't the best either. Even if her traps are at times RNG, it's still slowing down the survivors at least.
