That's next level entitlement. "If you work on your objective, you lose your perk"
Not sure if you're using entitlement correctly here, my friend.
It's just one person's opinion.
Also, until recently it was defended as anti tunneling perk, in which case I always felt, if you are doing gennys, you are not being tunneled.
I think both ds and noed are OP perks and I won't play them myself. My prerogative, not entitlement.

"One of the best players out there"
No they aren't. The are pretty good but far from the best. Pretty much every single one of them will blame the game or sometimes the players for something that is ENTIRELY their own fault.
And True is just a hypocrite if that is his opinion of DS yet he still uses it. It's not actually that necessary as survivor, I play 99% of my games without it and I escape and/or pip majority of my games. To sit there and basically say "I need this" while also saying "this is OP" is being a hypocrite and demonstrating his lack of actual skill in the game.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1266177#Comment_1266177
Yes Fungoose is one of those players I consider WAY better than any of the ones mentioned previously AND unlike certain hypocrites out there he doesn't use DS nor does he think it's necessary to perform well as survivor. IDK what his opinion about it is, but considering he is one of the few people that are willing to actually admit when they mess up and not blame the game/player I'd lean towards the idea that he thinks DS is fine. When he plays killer he knows how to play around it and he doesn't complain about it either. I have mad respect for that man. Plus he can talk a mile a minute while playing at a very high level, for anyone that's never tried this it takes an INSANE amount of skill to do.
Yes my friend you are correct, he is awesome.
He just says DS should deactivate once you start a genny, which I agree with myself.
-
That's pretty standard now, there aren't enough high ranking killers compared to survivors.

I can confirm he has 6k hours. And he's not even the highest time played on Xbox either, he's like 5th or lower.
Everyone you listed is not actually as good at the game as you think.
I agree and respect that. I won't use it for those reasons.
Fungoose, streamer I prefer, doesn't use it either.

Its not that I want the 4k
Well... I get tbagged nd clicked at by survivors who then flame me in chat and direct messages for letting them live.
The emblems say didn't do well if I don't get them all
The scoreboard shows me loosing
And the evil overlord I'm trying to please says he's disappointed in me. Just like my dad.
So like its neat bhvr says its OK to only get half... but it really doesn't feel good spending all that time playing a game and getting in the horror mood only to have every aspect tell me I failed.
Yeah, I'm in agreement. They really have to adjust the emblem system for killers so you don't feel bad for playing nice

I always want survivor nerfs and killer buffs.
Killer is stressful, survivor is really easy for me
I agree. But I want those 4ks
I wonder if I would stress less if I didn't care how many got out.

so I got the spirt because she looked neat
Player her twice and thought wow this killer sucks I really want my money back.
Gave it a month or so of playing her another dozen times individually then I literally never touched her again because I don't like her power of running fast but no see where they are...
Its fun to see how she is like the most hated/ number one killer and I just think she's so lame... like fast running is all it takes to bring every survivor to their knees.. I can't help but think the 1hk killers are so much stronger... even the ones with ranged attacks but I never see posts about them.
Then again i play puke bae and gigglezap
What do I know
You mean doc, right? How do you feel about his recent nerf?

As i've said in the previous post it shouldn't because devour punishes altruism and unhooking yourself isn't an altruistic action
It's funny how all things are perceived differently.
I see it as a reward for not camping. It rewards a killer for staying away from the hook and allowing safe hook rescues.
-
Funny our 3 man swf is myself, my wife and our daughter. I don't think it is possible to be less toxic than us.
Not to mention we always take care of our randos and will go back in to make sure they get out, even if it means one of us will die.
We appreciate good teammates.

It's definatly more than 1% as soon as you hit Red ranks all it seems to be is sweaty swf
All killers in red ranks tend to be sweaty too.
Shouldn't you have to sweat a bit in red ranks?
Isn't that why it is red ranks?

@Entity_Hugs said:
Camping is a made up designation where entitled Survivors (not all Survivors) openly stand near a hooked Survivor and expect Killers to just walk away & allow free unhooks.
Same with 'tunneling'. Entitled Survivors expect to get unhooked & be allowed to heal up or work on generators for an unspecified amount of time before the Killer can hit them again. If a Killer hits them before this arbitrary amount of time has passed, then they call it 'tunneling'.
Entitled Survivors then come onto these forums and try to shame Killers into playing by these unwritten rules by calling them 'campers', 'tunnelers', and claiming playing optimally takes 'no skill'.
While they themselves will play meta perks, queue with friends, and use voice chat for every possible advantage. But all that's okay, because THEY are doing it.
There was a time that killers used these terms to describe noob killer tactics.
It used to be a badge of honor to be a high rank killer while playing by the supposed rulebook.
I know times have changed, the game has changed a bit, but many old school killers still attempt to play as fair as possible and do just fine without relying on those tactics.

Killer main but when I'm playing survivor I'm always complimenting the killer if they did good or encourage them if they got destroyed. I try to be the survivor I want to play against
This is me as well. Probably because of all my time as killer I am very empathetic to their plight.
I always send the gg wp, even if I don't agree with their tactics.

Play both sides for once.
I’m sick of survivors complaining about killers who tunnel when the killer has to or say that the killer is camping when there’s a survivor running around the hook. If you played killer you wouldn’t complain about this as survivors.
I also wish killers wouldn’t be ######### for no reason. Now, play how you want. That’s fine, but just think about the other side for once. They’re humans too, you’re human. Try to make it fun for the survivors, even if you get genrushed and t-bagged at the exit gate. Just move on to the next game.
If everyone played both sides there wouldn’t be so much toxicity in this community.
I play both sides. If someone is running around the hook, you can walk away and let them get the save.
Then you can resume your tunneling.
-
A lot of low scores here, did they all die on first hook?
Sorry but scores indicate a bit of tunneling and camping, in which case, you will seldom pip at red ranks.
You need to get more hook actions, genny kicks, more chases..etc.
It is not always about the number of kills
-
@Aneurysm said:
It's not the timer, you shouldn't have multiple survivors with it at once, and it should be deactivated when getting on a gen or in a locker. That's all it needs.
The locker is fine, who cares he's not on a genny . But as soon as you touch a genny it deactivates seems fair.
If you're doing a genny you aren't being tunneled.
-
@gatsby said:
In Red Ranks, you pretty much need a 4k to rank up. Blame the Devs not the players... even giving someone hatch and taking a 3k can give us Brutal Killer so we don't rank up
So true, the higher you rank up, the more concerned you become about 4king.
-
As a survivor I run, iron will, kindred, adrenaline, dead hard.
Iron will allows you to make plays in chase you can't do without it, such as leaving scratches one way and sneaking the other.
Kindred is my addiction, I just like to know what is going on with hook saves and I swf. It is just so strong.
Adrenaline because it's the best exhaustion perk in the game, and I run a build where I am injured a lot, so a free heal at end game is nice.
Dead Hard, because I am still trying to get better at looping and this gives me a chance to extend chase, plus I am injured a lot so it is a big help.
As killer it changes a lot depending on who I play.
But I like lethality and a constant pressure play style. So l run discordance, make your choice, sloppy and bbq on spirit.

It's ok for me when i play Surv. I always do bones, i watch every corner on the map ^..^ Sometimes i miss some bones, and i get rekt from Noed. That's my Fault ^..^ and this is part of the game.
Same with DS.
I myself think both are OP and will not run them.
They both reward failure, they both are crutches.
I understand some killers are hard tunnelers, that is why we loop, pound gennys, use BT, tank hits for teammates.

Ah problem solved so I’ll just stop playing a game I like instead of hoping they actually balance the game. Thanks for the tip 🙄
They game is pretty balanced dude, if you are getting destroyed constantly, it is probably due to MM or you are at the wrong ranks.
Like every one said, not worth the stress, take a break or play some survivor.
-
No, not bannable, not fun but not bannable.
They just need to make it so people can still save verses insta downs, that way you can at least get tunneled instead of just camped.

I’ve been playing survivor a lot more recently after being a killer main for years and notice a hell of a lot of killers that tunnel...
I’m not talking unhooked in front of your face, toxicity etc. I’m talking purposely returning to the unhooked survivor just to hook them again.
So why do you do it? The excuse won’t work of “because it’s easier to 3 v 1” because we both know that’s BS it’s the easy way out instead of learning how to get better at the game.
We all play this game to have fun right? Killers wanna have fun and so do survivors right?
Tunneling somebody off hook isn’t fun for the survivor, it’s equally as frustrating for something that irritates you as killer whether it be body blocking or what not.
A simple solution would be for the devs to implement a ‘No blood point emblem score’ In short if you hook a survivor again within a certain grace period the killer is penalised for it, that being you gain no blood points or emblem for that hook. If they choose to camp that downed body then it gives the other solo and SWF survivors adequate time to do gens It’d derank killers into appropriate brackets until they learn how to play the game properly.
I’m well aware tunneling isn’t considers a “Bad word” by BHVR but I seriously think something should be done on this particular issue
I was a long time killer main myself, that has recently switched.
I think old school killers still try to play by old school rules, hence the alleged "survivor rulebook".
Back then it was a badge of honor to win by not tunneling, camping or using No Ones Even Dead yet crutch. I think many old school killers , myself included, will always see the game this way.
However, the game has changed, many more people swf, no heal meta, skillcheck proficiency, meta perks, etc.
As such killers are trying to eliminate as many people as fast as possible. The stigma of being this kind of killer doesn't seem to be the same with the newer killers entering the game as it was a few years ago.
It has almost become a badge of honor to ruin the game for those "pesky entitled survivor mains" then to really concentrate on perfecting their craft and making the game more fun for all.
Although MM hasn't helped this either.

So bullying is justified against high rank killer?
I don't see the bullying here, you started the chat, and got a reply.
They didn't swear at you or anything. The one guy said "clicky clicky".
And as others have stated, they didn't create the matchmaking, they just played the game.
Also looking at the scores, don't know if you straight tunneled the 16 out of the game or if he suicided on hook.
Not judging, just an observation.
I Just think we make everything out to be toxic anymore, so much so, it has lost all meaning.

If you are referring to me: I was actually a survivor in that game and the killer abused a bugged killer perk (tier 2 tinkerer) to ruin the match for everyone back then so I made it my mission to ruin the rest of the killer's day by not giving the 4th kill.
I've never seen said killer again after that match so it was worth it.
I thought I quoted you, and realized it didnt go through.
Damn bro, that is some commitment to make a point.

First of all, run Spinechill. This perk is a direct counter as you can see if she's phase walking or not.
Second of all, double back on your scratch marks if you're running or stop running completely and walk.

Just not my style.
Was having a little fun with the post, no need to be so serious about it.

Of course as a killer, you could just master your craft and not rely on No Ones Even Dead yet crutch

So what you're both saying is basically "You don't belong at that rank because other people are costing you your rank and it's working fine. It has nothing to do with your skill level, it's all to do with the randomness of matchmaking." right? Did I miss anything there?
Why should we be punished because of others?
I guess, I considered you could be a killer or a survivor.
As a survivor, as many solos may affirm, you definitely need competent teamates to give you a better chance of pipping.
Anyone can pip from time to time, which if you play solo should happen.
If you are constantly struggling to safety pip, well my guess is as I've said before.
"If you run into an ahole in the morning, well you ran into an ahole, if you run into aholes all day, well you may be the ahole."

Try to pip with basically no benelovent points because everyone killed their self or DCed, what also makes harder to get other points like objectives since you are the last one and you are trying to find a hatch not do gens
Once again, why I swf!
-
Sweat!
-
Yes, you're struggling to safety pip, it should not be ez if you are in the correct ranks.
If you are depipping your ranked higher than you should be, if your pipping ez, you are too low.

this picture is a bad example seeing they all escaped but its just showing what matchmaking is putting me against
I respect this picture. So many people want to show the games they dominate in.
Its refreshing to see someone show the losing side as well.
Although it doesn't really support your argument.
-
Right, if you're struggling to pip you are about where you should be in rank.
-
So now it's toxic to not gen rush ?
Seriously tho, I doubt timeline is accurate.
Who wants to do nothing for an hour?
-
I do the opposite. I switch to a character that is different from the others.
First to make sure a killer knows the difference between me and someone else, at least then if you tunnel me, we both know it's on purpose.
Secondly to try and demonstrate in the lobby, that we are not all trying to look alike, so no need for that mori!

Which Killers play it? There's a few specific Killers that to quite well on The Game, like Trapper, Doc, Myers and Ghostface. The majority of Killers don't really benefit from it thanks to having several god pallets, and lots of relatively safe pallets
Nurse , spirit, freddy, hillbilly as well.
I think the game is killer sided, some survivors can also be really strong loopers there, but blood is easier to track, many gennys are in a corner or only have one way to escape if killer comes.
-
For me...drink bourbon...watch Fungoose...give bittys and gift a subscription.
Wake up, say damn!

I'm with tippy2k2, never.
I have in the past, but that was before I really played any survivor. Plus I have 4kd so many times now, who really cares if you beat me to the hatch. 3k is a win.
I rarely even close the hatch anymore. If I find you and get you, gg, if you get the hatch, gg.
-
They usually dont respond!
JK, send em a gg and move on!

We recently had this discussion on here, albeit in 2 different post.
Consensus on giving the killer a kill, seemed to be ,make it look like they earned it. I.e. run to a dead spot so they can down you. It seemed many percieved it as belittling the killer by pointing at the hook or such.
Giving the hatch seemed to be very individual. Most people seemed to have conditions on when and why the would give it.
I personally will, if I hear it when hooking the last survivor, but I am not running all over the map looking for it.

I just played against a 4 player buddy group. It was the most horrible game play I’ve ever had. They knew where I was, they knew where each other were for healing. They can communicate all the way across the map, and I’m running around with the Hag like an idiot. This was the least fun and most frustrating experience I’ve had with this game.
I did t get more than one hit on anyone, because they knew god loops, and when they lost me, they knew EXACTLY where to go to heal within seconds.
I’m rank 17, going against a 4, 3, 7 and 2.
each one had adrenaline, 3 had DS,
Prove thyself, 2 had Borrowed Time, 2 Sabateur.
I never had a chance. This was tilted, one sided and completely unfair.
I have been championing how much fun and how amazing this game can be, but if this kind of gang up is where it’s going, I’ll be out, quickly.
I'd argue the swf was not the problem here, but the matchmaking.
You could have brought an ebony noed spirit and lost against a group that much higher than your skill rank.

First off my friend, I have a lot more time as killer than survivor.
Secondly my favorite streamer is Fungoose, a killer main.
Third, How do you quote me, call me a toxic survivor main, without knowing anything about me, says more about you than me.
Lastly, the forums are for opinions and discussions, watch whomever you want, dont hate on us of a different opinion.
