Pipping system

I dont understand the pipping system. Very frequently as killer, i am frustrated with the reward i get for a match. For example, sometimes when i sacrifice everyone, i only safety pip. What? Thats stupid, it mostly happens when i end the game too fast: but if a killer does end the game fast, shouldnt they be rewarded?

Other times, I de-pip for playing really well. For example, i hook every survivor at least twice, sacrifice one survivor, sophisticated gen control and overall playing really well and that de-pips me?! I feel like that should be a safety pip.

Heres some evidence that i feel like i shouldnt be punished for:

Like bruh, red ranks is painful enough i feel like killers should pip for winning.

Is there something im doing wrong?

  • Both sides rely too much on the other for pipping. It sort of stinks but I have no idea how to fix it. If you play survivor and the killer is garbage and gets no hooks etc you can do gens and escape and still depip.

  • Yep, i agree that it sucks for survivors too

  • A lot of low scores here, did they all die on first hook?

Sorry but scores indicate a bit of tunneling and camping, in which case, you will seldom pip at red ranks.

You need to get more hook actions, genny kicks, more chases..etc.

It is not always about the number of kills

  • So, now this is a question of how many Instant-downs you had used on Myers, and how many times you downed injured people as Legion because they didn't heal. Chaser kinda works based off a 2-hit system. This makes killers like Leatherface and Hillbilly TERRIBLE to rank up with, since they only do half the work.

If you used Feral Frenzy more as Legion, then you'd have been able to get more Chaser, but the end result might have been overall decent.
