It's when a survivor doesn't play by the "killer rule book"😁

I mean in that moment, its the logical choice, is it not?
I disagree. The logical choice is to split pressure. She is injured, he quickly injured the ash and hooked him.
Now you have more people injured and closer to death. This applies more pressure then just tunneling the meg down.

0%
I bring a medkit for a guaranteed 1 heal if needed. And I am a DH ,iron will player so 0%
I can rely on it getting me to second stage while some rando self heals in the corner, pretty regularly, so there's that.

They ain't gonna touch anything to do with Spirit again anytime soon. They will do eventually once she's the only killer left that needs her own unique TR; but until then, no way is she getting tweaked again. All I want about Spirit to change is that it becomes obvious when she has started phasing. Make it so you hear the whoosh noise even inside her TR. At least that would make Prayer Beads actually make sense with how it functions post adjustment; as well as removing the dominance she has in close quarters of "the no-mindgame-mindgame" that's a bunch of bull. The only killer that has zero to minimal tell-tale (with certain cosmetics and from a certain distance away) that she's using her power. Not to mention from close-range you are pressured into feeling that Iron Will is a must vs her. But even then, Stridor exists to make that counter pointless e xept on one survivor... Ace > Spirit lol
Well thought out and stated, my friend!
-
To be fair, some people with big dongs also slug.
Shouldn't stereotype.
-
I think we really need to stop policing others playstyles.
Sure there are unfun tactics on both sides. Luckily there are also many individual playstyles as well. This means you face a variety different styles throughout a day, it lets a person choose how they want to play and what is fun for them.
Do I like all these tactics, ofcourse not. Does that mean my opinion should dictate how someone else plays, surely the answer is No.
Stop with the punish camping, tunneling, mori, hook suicides, flashlight save..etc and realize it's just a game.
-
We usually swf, and it seems to happen to one of us for a bit . Then it changes and starts happening to someone else for a bit.
Just bad luck sometimes. Maybe be a little stealthier for awhile at the start. Creep around and do a totem , dont run to that first genny you see. Also spine chill can be a big help.
But it comes and goes, just the nature of the game.
-
Spirit has already been nerfed, let's stop asking for more killer nerfs please!
-
You will get tunneled when you first start playing, because you can't lose the killer.
It takes time to be able to lose/loop the killer. Also, if you're new, your probably playing newer killers, who are also learning . They may alter their tactics as they improve.
Try picking up killer for a bit and respect that challenge as well. Then , like others have suggested, you can play it your way.
It's a fun game, but it's not for everyone.
Those of us that feel somewhat profecinet, didn't get there overnight.
-
Both.
7 devotions as killer. Just finished 2nd devotion as survivor.
Lately I've been on a break from survivor and have been playing killer again.

Here we have the one who wrote the killer Rule Book.
"No one cares how you play...but excuse me as I criticize how you play even though I don't care"
I didn't criticize anyones play. I criticized the stereotyping of all survivors as those being the ones that cry about a particular playstyle.
My point was we have all seen it before, we are in no way surprised by any of it. If you could show me where I criticized a playstyle, I would surely apologize to OP.
-
Dude, no one cares how you play. It sounds like you just want an excuse to defend your tunneling, camping, mori using tactics.
Newsflash, we have all seen it before. There's nothing new about it. If you played survivor for 2 days, you quickly learn these tactics are all part of the game, and highly probable they will be used.
Play how you want! Stop stereotyping all survivors after a few sore losers texted you.
Also, all those tactics, are the reasons swfs play swf.
This is why I think we should all play both sides, it is a more informed opinion, imho!

So instead of "farming" you just want to make it as miserable as possible for the survivors. OKAY. Not.
I'd rather a killer mori me then endure a farm game myself.
-
We have already been through this.
A. No one wants to sit on gennys any longer, its boring.
B. Increasing gen times, requires an increase in the time between hook stages, or camping would become way too ez.
-
I noticed on ps4 we can't send ggs anymore after a match.
Anyone else?
-
@LordRegal , totally agree^

I've always been more of the mindset that the time it takes to heal someone is worth it because a survivor that can take two hits generally lasts much longer than a survivor that can be downed in one. Having said that I can't fault your way of looking at it. Of course there is still the part where the guy intentionally tried to run the killer to me.
The intentional part is just bs, people who do this drive me crazy, and it is why I prefer to swf.
I see your point on healing. I run DH,so in theory that is like an extra hit, if I make it to the pallet that is.

Seriously, I'm so damn tired of getting spirits and freddies that sweat mori and tunnel off first hook every other damn game.
It's always a green rank killer, and I'm in RED RANKS.
Fix matchmaking too while you're at it, because green rank killers are the majority of the killers that do that.
Seriously. Moris and Keys need to either GO or BE FIXED.
I want to play the game.
Well....if your a red rank, and they are green, isn't it fair they can even the odds a bit.
You should be complaining about the MM. Then you could get moried by a killer of equal skill level.
-
Tunneling killers are going to tunnel, doesn't matter which character they choose to play.
And sometimes it is the right tactic, and needed to swing momentum.
Kinda like unsafe unhookers are going to perform unsafe unhooks.
-
@PrettyFaceKate said:
Is that because it's you who run directly toward them even before being uncaged?
I was thinking the same thing,
"Who's camping cages, lol"

People should post what they want.
Others can read and thumbs up what they want.
-
Already?
-
Happened to me last night on PS 4.
-
Thanks for the update! I am curious to see once both sides get a better feel for him.
-
I think the minimum rant requirement is as least two sentences 😁

@Aven_Fallen said:
Why does this one guy only have 5,6k points? Tunneled early out of the match, eh?
Saw that and thought the same thing, looks a little campy there.
-
It's the survivors' job to ensure a 3 gen doesn't happen.
Killer is going to take the opportunity if they give it to him. They just salty the f'd up.
-
Sometimes the correct move is to complete the objectives first. Healing someone with sloppy butcher active is time a genny could be completed.
Then we can heal you up.
But survivors must keep the pressure on the killer as well. If you keep getting hit, running away, find someone to heal you, then heal. That is exactly what the killer wants.
Objectives first. I only heal when it is an emergency situation or when 3 survivors are together to make it go fast.

I've been playing long before it was a hex perk, and I never thought it was that good honestly. Old NOED the play was "everyone hides for two minutes" and that was extremely boring, so I didn't take it. Now it's a hex, and while no one does bones unless there's an archives challenge, it's still a perk that does nothing for 95% of the game.
That being said there's nothing wrong with using it. Both sides are fully in their rights to bring everything that they want to try to win. A removable oneshot generator is a lot less oppressive than a lot of other options on both sides imo.
I am also all for an individual to play how they want. I'm not judging a person's style or tactics. Either way you get gg from me.
I was just explaining why it is often not well received. If you played in the old school games, then you must remember when it was killers that stated "Noed is a noob perk, git gud!"
That just stays with me and has shaped my own prerogative to not use the perk.
By all means play however one wants.
-
As far as old school killers are concerned...it is a crutch perk and not respected.
I know the views have changed a bit, newer killers don't see it that way. They see it as a end game saver and just state " do bones", but forget it wasn't originally a hex perk.
To survivors, it just feels cheap. Like to a killer that gets hit with BT save into the DS stun as survivor runs out the door. Just doesn't seem earned.
-
Unremovable DH, c'mon dude, you can't be serious.

Spirit relies on sound, so stridor is a must on her, since it nullifies iron will. Also, the 3rd tier of the perk makes normal breathing 25% louder, so you can hear crouching survivors (especially blendettes) near you
Corrupt helps you in early game and forces survivors to come to you
You should slug when you see two survivors together (e.g on a gen, healing etc) or when you see both the unhooker and the unhooked survivor. As a result the 3rd survivor has to leave their gen to save them, so only the 4th one is working on gens and that's how you create the ultimate pressure
Thanks again my friend!

Well, I always play to win so as soon as I find the best build for every killer, I rarely try anything new
Anyway, this is my standard build:
Perks: BBQ, Corrupt, Stridor, PGTW (sometimes I swap pop with nc)
Add ons: 1)Sports cap (speed), Kaiun talisman (duration) and if you like sweating like me 2) Mother-daughter ring (speed), Katsumori Talisman (duration)
I literally never lose (3k or 4k) with this build and get ready to receive some extra salty messages from those SWAT teams 😂
PS: Remember to slug slug slug. I can't stress it enough. Not only do you create even more pressure but you also make them waste their unbreakable
Thanks so much. I have been thinking of adding corrupt and just started trying stridor. Takes a little getting used to.
When do you decide to slug? When you see others near after you down someone?
Thanks again for the advice.

I wish you were on PS4, so I could take care of you with my spirit. We would have so much fun
Sidebar...what do you run on your spirit. I have been trying new builds and I am curious if you have a good one.
Thanks!
-
@JustCats , that is not necessarily true. The survivors may indeed be sweating, it is just mitigated by the asymmetrical design. The 4v1 is what allows the survivors a break as the killer attempts to kill someone else.
I think many will agree that survivors gain the upper hand in a match when playing optimally. But an asymmetrical game can't be balanced completely, and we are talking about the very few minority that play at this skill level.
-
It's just a game, if you're getting frustrated, take a break or play something new.
I mean you should sweat at red ranks. It should not be ez. Why would you want to play a game and just steamroll everyone at the top tier.
It's an asymmetrical game, so ofcourse and top killer is going to have to sweat against four top tier opponents, as it should be.
If you are consistently getting destroyed, perhaps you are at the wrong ranks. Although I will concede that rank 9 killers are probably playing rank 1 survivors right now.
Remember it's just a game, if you get destroyed, respect your opponents skill and move on.

Sadly, I think this has been done before as well.

asking for penalties from people who for whatever reason do not want to spend that time in that game is not the solution and only succeeds in frustrating them even more, looking for the reason why that person does not want to play and a possible solution is the right direction
I wasn't asking for penalties, was just saying there wasn't one for closing app in loading screen.

Moris can be countered as someone said above dont get caught twice. how can keys be countered pray tell? Please don’t say Franklin s because you shouldn’t need to bring a perk just for that, and they can still pick it up.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1332439#Comment_1332439
If it’s fair it’s fair, I don’t agree with either by the way. As killer if people key the hatch then it’s fine and as survivor of a killer moris me It’s fine. Next game is just a click away in either case. Just saying you can’t be for one but not the either.
That's me as well. Just move on to next game, its whatever. But I can see why someone wouldn't enjoy playin against them.
-
I have. You lose your offering and item. But everyone else keeps their stuff.
Have to do it before loading into the game, during offering screen. No penalty, no pip lost.
For the record, I am not promoting or cadoneing this. Just tested for the sake of science.
-
Why do people feel the need to announce these things. I mean play the game how you want, but what is with the post.
PSA...if I order the burger, I'm going get the fries, if I take a shower, I'm going to wash my ass!

If killers are going to lobby dodge, why wouldn't survivors mori dodge?
