I am not a big fan of the Pig, because I hate how her traps remove you from the normal gameplay. Now I have to go run around and try to get this trap off my head instead of playing the game. Pun intended, lol
-
Why not just run BBQ?
-
360s and Moonwalks are the TRUE survivor second objective.
-
No, luckily someone does it for me before I can get to it,lol

How are they the same? bloodlust isnt on demand.
Most killers are against bloodlust 2 and 3 actually. Its just that some infinites still exist thats the problem the game has with removing bloodlust. BL1 doesnt do much but just helps with hold W maps, because holding W takes no skill and shouldn't be as strong as it is.
They both give you a boost of speed, and DH is a direct counter to a bloodlusting killer. When used to gain distance.
I didn't say they were the same. Just that so many people have a big problem with one, and yet are completely fine with bloodlusting.
I personally think everyone needs to guit begging for God damn nerfs and play the game.

It's not the invincible part that people dislike, it's the gaining distance part
Yeach, but the same people have no problem with bloodlust, so there is a flaw in that logic.

How do we know anything about situations like these.
You take em at their word or you dont

I compared DH's and NOED's purpose, not the way they work. It is obvious that mechanically perks are very different, but purpose-wise they are similar.
I see your argument, I just disagree. I don't see them as similar myself. Perhaps Coupe De Grace and Dead Hard are similar. And maybe NOED and Adrenaline . But in the end, both sides have strong perks. I just hope we get passed all these calls for Nerfs, on both sides.
-
I think many perks can be considered as unfair when viewed through certain POVs. Personally, I just see them as perks in a game. Some are stronger than others, some people can use them much more optimally than others. But I don't think anything is unfair, myself. We all get four perks to use, and it is up to others to counter them within the game.
-
Dude, your reaching here.
-
I have always stated Cypress Mori should be basekit. Totally agree!!
-
It can be, but if ruin lasts a long time, then you get very little pop value. If ruin goes quick, then you are a Pop gamer anyway. And now you have two perk slots used up that do not synchronize, both dedicated to gen slow down.
I would rather choose a style that works for you and not give up two slots . But you do what works best for youl
-
Self care is selfish IMO. You deny your team the heal points, it takes more time heal, time you could be on a genny and often leads to multiple occurrences a game where you run away and heal, not being productive. It also is a bit of a crutch, as you never learn to play injured. If you self care twice a game, that is like a whole genny you could have done. You also don't bring a perk that helps the team, self care helps only you.
And from the sounds of it, you keep hindering you teams ability to heal you by pulling away, ######### is that?
-
I know this is simplistic. But don't go down near the basement. Drives me crazy when people want to loop the ######### out of the shack, then cry because they are hooked in the basement. Just run far away from the basement or accept the punishment of going down near the basement. Hopefully you wasted some of the killer's time or finished the gen you were so committed to.
-
Probably, but game is full of smurfs currently so I don't see the difference
-
I like both. I watch Longlivmac and he starts with hours of killer then does some survivor games.
-
No. He will be the first killer I don't buy.
-
Sadly, those that complain about camping and tunneling aren't the ones popping 3 gens in 2 minutes.
Those guys are the ones that get out most games . And don't give a ######### about camping and tunneling.
-
So you want to reward killers more for failing to win or know when to break a chase?
-
Everything gets repetitive if you do it enough.
-
DS nerf changes nothing for me at all. I bring a fast medkit with 2 heals. If I hit you with DS, it was tunneling at it's truest definition.
If you leave me alone for 10 seconds, I'll be healed up and ready to resume the chase.
-
There are unfun things both sides deal with.
At the top of the list....DCs!
-
You should have double pipped. But I have never seen merciless without a double pip. All things are possible in DBD
-
First, honestly, you get good. That's it. You play long enough and you can almost predict what survivors are going to do.
Tbags, don't bother me in the least. I go after who I want when I want and will not be persuaded to do differently by someone tbagging.
DS is getting nerfed.
Body blocking is part of the game, and I respect survivors that go hard for their teammates.
Accept, that some games you are just going to get your ass kicked. It happens, no big deal. Go into the next match and kick some ass yourself.
-
What age my friend? We always looking for folks to game with, but we are older.
-
The reason is for all the ######### smurfs that destroy the experience for newer players. I am always hopeful they get weeded out and have to play real competition .
As for how they make the decision on what qualifies as skill in a game like this. That I don't know.
-
You must be fun at parties!!
-
Every game I play as survivor is Ruin, Undying, thana, sloppy with some Dying Light mixed in, so it is no surprise Prove Thyself is showing up more often.
-
I think Cypress should be basekit, but Ebony would really encourage tunneling.
-
Anyone of them, I don't think in real life you gonna come back from all those injuries. Sure as hell not surviving 2 hooks through the chest.
Except Legion, I think I could kick Legion's Ass IRL.
-
Are you crying about the DC penalty?
You know in this situation, you give the killer exactly what they want be DCing, right? Take the points and get a new match.

This. Too many sensitive people nowadays. You teabag, how dare you!? You flashlight spam, how dare you?! You tunnel, how dare you?! You camp hooks, how dare you?!
People find a 'problem' with other's behavior because their mentality is - if you do A, B or C, you're being a dick and I don't like you. Grow up and have some skin and don't take offense to legit anything you deem as 'toxic'. Unless the person is actively insulting you at end-game chat, its no big deal. Stop assigning everything as toxic. Some real snowflake type mentality.
Exactly. It's a game, play how you want and let others do the same!

I mean, the same argument could be used about tunneling. It's quick and efficient and honestly usually the wisest strategy.
But survivors piss and moan about being tunneled like it's not a legit gameplay tactic that's right in the game and not cheating, so obviously it's not bad, then?
Not bad at all. Not my preferred style to use or verse, but not toxic.
Still get a gg from me.
-
Nothing in game is toxic. Perhaps some tactics put the F U in fun, but if it is in the game and not a cheat, it's not toxic.
Only thing toxic is being nasty in end game chat.
-
We do,
4 man out, everyone drinks.
YOu die, you drink.
YOU hit DS, you drink.
Unsafe unhook, you drink. Hence the increase in BT as the night goes on.
Escape with the least amount of points in the swf, you drink
Get more points than the killer, you drink, obviously you aren't drunk enough.
-
They just have no life and want the salt.
But, never DC, always take the points. You actually reward this kind of killer more by DCing.
-
I don't camp. Never have, never will. Just a very unfun playstyle for me personally.
I used to occasionally tunnel to swing momentum if needed. But now I'm playing by a self imposed no tunneling rulebook.
So the only time I tunnel now is if you head on me. I know it's petty. But if you want my attention, I will give it to you.
-
I play how I want to face.
-
Dude, talk about the FUN police. Like others have said. Most SWF are not that good. 4 top tier randos will be just as much a challenge. If not more as they may not become overly altruistic, as many swfs do.
People want to play with their friends. They funny part is how often people are accused of SWFing and they are not. It has become an excuse for killer that constantly get their asses kicked.
-
No. Perhaps this is why I often don't feel swf is always this formidable opponent. Sure the death squads exist. But I don't see them as often as others claim to . But when I SWF, we drink and just talk ######### and catch up on each other's life. In fact, sometimes it is to our detriment because we can get so loud, you can barely even hear skill checks.
So, short answer no.

The reason i suggested the totem blocking was so you could run hexes without worrying about them being a wasted perk slot. There is too much rng when it comes to hexes, there are games where ruin last for 15 seconds, and 15 minute matches where it never gets cleansed, whats so bad about lessening this rng and making the perk more consistent?
I can understand that. My point is that is a Hex. And the argument with Hexes, are they are high risk , high reward. This Idea limits the risk of running Hex perks.
-
Sorry, but no. Hexes are always high risk high reward perks. I don't think we should be blocking them or making it so they can't be cleansed for a period of time. It removes the high risk argument.
-
I agree with this . If survivors want to dodge lobbies and wait in even longer que time for themselves to avoid certain play styles. Seems ok to me.
-
First, don't become something you hate. Are you so easily swayed, you would abandon your own beliefs because of something someone else did?
Secondly, this has to be bait. Are you really comparing camping to old mori?
Lastly, play how you choose, and be mature enough to let others do the same.

And the whole point of my original post was that I am not willing to play with Spirit. Accepting the risk that I may go up against a Spirit does not mean I am forced to participate in the match when it happens.
Given there are 20+ other killers I can play against, I will just move on to other matches and continue to, on the whole, enjoy the game. Since I started this policy of refusing Spirit matches, my enjoyment overall has gone up.
How nice for you, I guess.
I am sure the enjoyment of your teammates has gone down.
But, screw them I guess. Least you didn't play against spirit.
-
Once again, nothing in game is toxic.
If it is available in game, it is not toxic.
-
I hope not. They already nerfed DS. So giving up 2 slots to avoid being left on the ground seems fair now.
Especially since you don't have to tunnel the guy down and slug him to avoid DS. Let him go, if he touches a genny, he loses DS and just hook him when you find him again
-
If it is working, that is a good thing.
I also feel it is on , secretly. Many of my games have been competitive.

You're welcome to play stuff you don't like, I personally am not up for it.
I didn't explicitly agree to play a Spirit because I didn't know it was one prior to readying up. And even if I did, that "agreement" (as you interpret it) can be revoked.
If you readied up, you agreed to play a round with the understanding that Spirit may be the killer.
Frankly, this attitude is what destroys the solo q experience.
-
None, I don't think an addon should override a whole perk slot.
