Another victim of the participation trophy Era!
Let me just quit and not play because I don't like something, that I agreed to face the moment I readied up.

Yeah, I get being annoyed because you got outperked/outpowered/outitemed but generally it's just best for everyone if it's gg's and moving on. Maybe, maybe a little passive aggressive comment just to release some steam.
Haha...no doubts!! We are but human beings😉

To be fair, it's for the same reason you're not going to get a lot of sympathy for running DS/UB in a full squad.
Don't get me wrong, I believe in bringing whatever so long as you have fun, but at the same time I also believe in acknowledging how much you're stacking the deck.
No, totally agree. I personally don't run stridor on spirit. But, like you said, I respect everyone's right to do as they please.
And, regardless, it is the texters/messengers that bother me.
-
It is just one of those things in game that sucks and wastes someone else's time .
Like survivors waiting until the last second of the EGC for all four to run out the exit games.
-
I understand this. And everyone can play how they wish. But you can also play in a way that is more sportsmanlike than other styles. I recommend playing both sides and playing how you would hope the other side played towards you.
I mean, if you play this game long enough, eventually 4ks and 4 man escapes are going to happen so often that it is fun to play with out those outcomes being your only definition of a win. Tunneling and camping for the 4k or gen rushing for the 4 man out, is not as fun as an interactive game with lots of points where maybe it is a 2k /2 out game.
But, granted, this probably takes a switch in one's mindset and win definitions.
-
I love Spirit, but you are probably not going to get a lot of sympathy in game or on these forums for running Stridor Spirit .
As far as why people text and criticize something that is in the game, well that is psychological discussion that probably has to do with an inflated ego.
-
I love wraith and I am so excited for his buff!!!
But you are right, some games you will get your ass kicked, but he is a lot of fun to play. IMO
-
Toxic and Entitlement are so overused in this game, they have no more meaning.
Nothing in game is toxic. Sorry, but if it is in the game, not a hack, it is not toxic. The only thing toxic is the End Game Chat.
So, texting someone and calling them toxic, is the actual toxic action.
We all have individual preferences about how we play, and how we enjoy others to play. But that is all they are. Individual preferences, and have no bearing on a another person choice in how they wish to play the game.
-
Play how you want.
Personally I play fair out of a sense of sportsmanship. I also play 50/50. So I play as I would like to face. I see so many people rage about some tactic they hate. Then turn around and do that same thing to someone else when they switch sides.
And ######### the pips. You have to decide what you play for and what is a win for you.

Why would that help loopers at all? There is no point in chasing someone who can't do anything for one minute...
That is a smart point. But if a killer is going to tunnel, they are going to chase the dude off the hook. Then he jumps in a locker at 50 seconds and loops another minute. And twice a game, for each decent looper. No thanks
-
BT DH, EZ
-
Hard No.
If you are a ######### looper, I understand why you feel this way. But that would be way too strong on competent loopers.
Just save it for after second hook and hope the gens are done by then.
I like to think of it this way. If you're getting tunneled every hook, do you really want to stay longer in that match anyway?

Do you use dh to avoid the killer's hit?
Not exactly, but I guess I am cutting it too close
-
There are a lot of chicken and eggs arguments in this game.
Like survivors, "Oh baby killer, let's head on him 15 times, and tbag him at the gates, and tell him how bad he sucks in chat."
Killer gets good, shows No Mercy after dealing with that #########.
Survivors, " Damn bro, why you go all tryhard sweat mode? There are still like 5 gens left , you didn't have to kill everyone so fast. Show a little mercy, let us get some saves..."
-
Yeah boring as #########!!!
I just like a fun match where both sides try hard but aren't complete dicks to each other. Like when both want to win, but also remember they are facing other actual human beings.
-
@stikyard No doubts!!!^^
For me I hate how unreliable DH is. I am so close to taking it off.
-
I love leader, but I have been hooked on bond as well. I like to run Bond, Leader, DS and DH. I would like to get rid of DS, but rather have it when the tunnels start.
-
You want to know why people rush gens?
Just read the forums. How many damn posts are there stating "Im just gonna tunnel and camp", "I don't care about survivors fun", "######### the Survivor rulebook"....etc.
The best counter to all this , is gen rush.
I wish we would play this game with a bit more fun in mind and a lot less ego. But unfortunately, that is not the majority mindsets we see.

what is bs rng?
I have seen this in a lot if commemts
Bull ######### is BS.
RnG is Random Number Generator, it is an algorithm that determines the number and positioning of certain things meant to be random
-
C'mon, this is the same as survivors crying about the deadzones. They both exist. We all know it is RNG. This is not an every game occurrence.
Both sides deal with BS RNG
-
C'mon dude. BBQ is actually healthy for the game. It entices killers to leave the hook and rewards them for doing so. It is also easily countered. And you should be able to figure out if the killer has it within 1 or 2 hooks.
-
I am looking forward to the Wraith Buff!!
But this is probably the first killer I will not own. Just not interested.
-
@JPA said:
No Way Out requires you to have 4 unique hooks though to get max value, and if you managed to get that with a build with only end-game perks, then you deserve to win tbh
C'mon now, you can get 4 hooks with no perks with any killer. If that is all you are going for.

Ay never seen it written like that tbh, good to know!
No worries, sorry if I came off a bit defensive.

Dictionary
mis·play
verb
verb: misplay; 3rd person present: misplays; past tense: misplayed; past participle: misplayed; gerund or present participle: misplaying
/misˈplā/
- play (a ball or card) wrongly, badly, or in contravention of the rules.
- "both balls were misplayed"
noun
noun: misplay; plural noun: misplays
/ˈmisˌplā/
- an instance of playing a ball or card wrongly or badly.
- "they scored twice, helped by misplays from the left fielder"
-
Yeah, this map sucks. But there are maps to do that to both sides.
-
Self awareness, is apparently, quite hard to come by in life.
If you want to get better at the game, you must be willing to look at your own misplays.
-
I guess you missed all the Noed threads today.

Same for adrenaline tbh. I’ve had so many killers upset I had adrenaline proc when they slugged me it’s not even funny
Yeah no doubts. I don't slug for the 4k, so I rarely think of adrenaline.
-
I would say most of us that are at least decent, have played a bit, don't give a ######### about Noed.
It is part of the game, and we ain't throwing shade over some perk. If you use it as a killer and run no gen slowdown, that is fair as #########, imo.
But it's a perk. Love it or leave it, but damn quit crying about it.

To be fair people bitched about DS for nearly as long.
That's a fair point.
And I am thankful those discussions are over.
But you are not wrong!
-
It's been 5 ######### years. How are we still talking about noed?
-
I have never had a ban longer then 5 minutes. I rarely get kicked from the game itself. Occasionally my shiternet goes down, but still only a 5 minute ban.
-
The fun is in the meme. Got emmm!!!
-
It's killer sided unless you are versing optimal survivors or a decent SWF.
And as we all know from solo q teammates, well those survivors are hard to find.
-
Victor for sure! Grumbling and growling over a few drinks.
The stares. And drunk baby zooming around the bar.
Yep, totally Victor.
-
Solo is definitely a pain in the ass. There is a reason so many prefer to SWF and many killers prefer to face solos.
-
The red stain is what mindgames are based off.
-
Usually said something funny!
Occasionally, something mean.
-
Just some people that need their ego's stroked. They think escaping that one match somehow makes them Gods. ######### em, don't go to gates. Find some pallets to kick.

Yeah I can see that. I agree over regulation is not cool but feel like games with opposing sides kinda need more regulation than others. I think I could be content if the survivors who got screwed by the survivor got something though.
I had a game against a demo the other day and we had 2 afk players. He had no mercy and killer me and the other active player first. I was honestly surprised there wasn't any mercy at all lol
I certainly get that. And it is indeed frustrating. He may have just been trying to end the game as fast as possible knowing it was a 2v1.
I just can't support over regulation. Even if I am against the behavior.
-
I hate both. But I am more of a carrot than a stick person. I also don't believe in a regulating everything a person does or says. Especially in a video game.
-
Or Freddy's sleep.

I know I help the team whenever I can when it is possible but If I have to choose between one death and more I choose 1 even If I am the one sacrificied.
Totally Agree!!
-
You are not wrong. However, it is hard not to empathize with those that are stuck in this position. I honestly don't mind trading hooks. I know it rewards the camper, and often results in me just dying on first hook. But we are a team and I just hate to see someone's whole game destroyed.
It is why I will take hits when someone is getting tunneled. Once again even if it results in my death. This is what is missing in solo q. The desire to risk our own health states to prevent someone else from getting tunneled/camped right out of the game.
But you are correct, it is probably silly. And at end game I won't do it. I won't sacrifice a 3 man escape at that point.
-
Totally agree. I always get the killers. I just like to have the opportunity to play different styles.
But I ain't buying anymore survivors. Not dumping more points to p3 a character I won't play.
-
I made this exact point in a thread the other day.
I just don't see how you can not feel the same way about both of them. Either nerf both, or leave them both alone. How can you scream for DH nerfs, which cost a perk slot and to some extent counters bloodlust, but have no problems with free BL.
No perk slot needed.
-
I went from a rank 7 to a rank 9 in one game the other day. This is crazy
-
That is what I love about her, you always feel competitive. And your games verseing her will get a lot better after maining her for a bit.
