I haven't played, but watching streamers, the hits today seem pretty suspect.

i only play solo, yes that sucks but if the game is going to BS me im going to BS it and do something else with my time and not let the game get me angry, i went and played fallout 3+NV when i left, seriously if the game is going to pull crap like that im not sticking around to get tilted i'd rather just cut my losses and call that game session over and play something less enraging
Good, for you, I guess.
Sux for the rest of your team.
-
Ill probably play him a bit. But my next goal is to take LF up the ranks. I seem to always get hit with his damn saw, so I am a proponent of " if you want to learn to counter them, play as them."
So, that is my next major challenge.

I do agree a lot of these people make us killer mains look whiney. But I will say, egc is a joke. It was a bandaid on a bullet hole, and over a year later no actual fix has been proposed. If egc is meant to prevent games from being held hostage, then the hatch in general needed to be addressed. The killer and survivor should HAVE to interact in some way for the last person to get out. Having two gates spawn a mile from hatch, making it impossible for the survivor to escape is kinda ridiculous. Equally so, a killer shouldnt be able to reach either gen from one another and make escape literally impossible. The solution seems to be a multi stage system. "hit a button on the door, it starts a timer. When the timer is up, you can hit another". The killer could hit the button to regress to the most recent stage, but no more. So now a survivor needs to loop the killer around that area so they can hit this button 3 or 4 times, giving the opportunity to protect themselves, while allowing the the timer to be long enough that the killer will always be physically capable of reaching it.
Also face camping is so ######### easy to fix. Just make hook progression take 300% the normal time if the killer is within 15 meters. There would be no reason all 5 gens couldnt be done in that time, easy fix. BHVR just sucks at understanding their own game
I would argue the EGC is fine. It should be a killer sided stage in the game. It prevents survivors from hanging around for too long if they completed all the gennys, and if the killer closed the hatch after 3ks, well the last survivor should have slim odds of escape.
I have no problem with facecamping. Especially during the EGC. Not that I think it is a good strategy in early game or fun to verse. But, I can make a safe hook rescue as I usually run BT. And at EGC all bet are off. They did try the hook progression idea, once. But it was too easily abused.

I am a discordance addict. I just can't seem to get it out of my build.
Survivor, I am constantly changing, looking for a build that I like. I have recently been using the fast healing build. WGLF, We'll Make it, Botany, and either Deliverance or DH. Ranger kit with gel dressing and tape. Pretty fun build. I have been thinking of trying fixated with sprint burst.
Anyone run those, can give me an opinion?
-
Well, we will all be rank 20s soon!
-
If people didn't complete the challenge yet. They can still select ithe challenge and the plant will spawn.

and which of the characters would annoy you more in that situation?
Actually none. Survivors are just skins. I rarely care if I get tbagged.
I am more forgiving towards Tapp, Ace and Zarina I guess.
-
I know. I have clicked on a couple, and was surprised to see they were Necroed from 2019.

The one that is the best looper on the team.

I agree with you 100%. Honestly we should stop using the term, its derogatory in my opinion because shame people for running what they want to run.
Totally Agree!! Run whatever you want, and let others do the same.
-
Idk, this is a hard one. I mean perks are there to assist you in game and hopefully have synergy with your play style.
We could classify every perk as a crutch in some way. Spies from the shadows , crutch for those that struggle tracking.
BT, crutch for those that can't perform safe hook rescues. I mean you could make a case for every perk being a crutch in some way.
I say, they are just perks. You use what best works for you and your play style. And damn any label people want to apply to them.
-
Yeah, it doesn't happen that often. I mean how many times did you deal with this in you last gaming session?
Once?

Yeah I'm kind of worried that I will get too used to it. But I'm gonna keep playing other Killers to keep those skills up. It's just kind of annoying playing weak Killers at red ranks when everyone is running sweaty meta builds.
I agree. I play almost all the killers, but Spirit is my go to when I know I want to compete. She is not invincible, like some will say.
But she is always competitive!
-
Welcome to the Spirit world my friend!!!
Be careful, the power, oh the power, you will crave it, and be saddened by the deficiencies of other killers.
-
What are all these post begging for more nerfs?
How easy do you want playing killer to be?
I mean if you have played for a bit, are you losing often? I feel I can 4k quite often, and now DS is almost a hindrance to survivors for killers that rarely tunnel.
No, I suggest you start working on keeping the gates from getting powered. Stop looking for even easier games.
-
Why are you looking for addon nerfs?
-
Yeah it is fine now. 2 perk slots to get up after being tunneled.

This makes no sense, what's the difference in eating the stun early now
Well, Now they can't do ######### if you let them go.
But, I don't see why people didn't eat it before. So I am curious if people are changing how they deal with DS or not.
-
It will be better for killers. I personally would eat the stun early if I could. I wonder if killers will be more likely to eat it now or if they are still going to slug a dude for 60 seconds.
-
Perks are not toxic.
-
I don't think you will se this.
But, wouldn't surprise me to see bloodlust removed.
-
I swf with my wife and often my daughter as well. I don't play as often as I once did but I enjoy these sessions with the fam tremendously. Just playing, having some drinks and talking ######### to each other.
I still enjoy killer, but not as much as I used to. Sometimes it feels a bit stale, but recently I have been playing the killer with their build of my last solo match. So this keeps it interesting as well.
-
I agree, but I would add when fully self-healed. If you are with a friend, healing each other, or he is healthy. He can now take a hit or you should have found a better place to heal. The killer can't be tunneling you both at the same time.
As a person that always brings a medkit and self heals before working on a genny, not during the 60 second count down, but right away, I know it's stupid. But I have been a killer main too long to fully exploit this perk. I think this should be considered.
-
As a person that just started using it, Noooo, not my minute of invincibility!!!!
As a killer that hardly got hit with it, and would eat it early if I had to, well, meh whatever.
As a lover of this game and a person that wants killers to keep playing, keep making lobbies, keep the game interesting and fair. ######### yeah!!! Bring on that nerf baby!!!
-
One less person to tunnel!!π
Just kidding.
Personally, I could give a ######### if you suicide on the hook. Nice and easy 4k, thanks.
As a survivor, and your teammate, well go ######### yourself ######### #########!!!
-
Thumbs up from me my friend, agree 100
-
You are silly!!! If they are jumping in a locker, with the new DS, it is because you are a straight tunneler.

Eh, DS never was a problem to me, gen regression has always been.
But your not complaining about these changes, correct?
-
No, I think it is completely fair. They might of gave it the undying treatment, but that doesn't mean it is unfair.
-
You have gotta be the only killer complaining today. Today is a good day, my friend.
-
The point is it was a bit OP and now it is not!!!
-
I am so happy about this. The question is can everyone admit, finally, that the the Devs are not biased and trying hard to balance this game?
I think without a doubt this will be the most balanced the game has ever been.
-
You on PS4? I will add you but have to be 21 or older.

what red rank killers? enough have decided to stop playing at least for a while that even rank 15s are having their solos at least and sometimes event heir swf groups thrown at them almost as soon as they're below 16 and in the general pool.
I know a lot of killers have left. Killer gets old after awhile. It is a constant dog fight. I myself am just trying to stop my 4k obsession and play a little more relaxed. I still enjoy playing killer, I like the challenge, and you get to experiment more with different powers. Something that is not available to survivors. But, there are a few of us old killers hanging in here.

I choose who want to play against but if u play swf I just leave the lobby.
Always I check the list of friends and when supose many survivors are on swf I dodge the lobby, my problem is when some survivors has private profiles.
That is fair enough, and something that killers can use to dodge lobbies they suspect are SWFs

If I play nice where is the empathy in calling me an ez baby killer, a camper, a tunneller? All I see is one side asking for empathy and to put yourself in their shoes, while when I get destroyed no empathy is shown as a killer, when I as a killer am struggling no empathy is shown. Yet how dare you tunnel that survivor that ran up to you with their DS or borrowed time? How dare you after all gens are done to proxy camp the hook? Why didn't you go to your basement and cry, just be better! I loved the phrase of a survivor I had the other day: I do this to annoy the killer! when I ask them why they did what they did.
You are exactly showcasing my point. Just ignore and deal with the survivors that show no empathy towards you, put yourself in their shoes and decide. It is great that you can relax and get a 3k. Yet I am talking about players like myself that have what 200 hours in the game, what is the message we get? Learn to play nice, because that is 'rewarding' and gets you respect / not having to deal with crybabies calling you out about how BAD you are after they won and lets not talk about when you win... ooof.
If survivors want to have killers that play nice, maybe threat those that actually put in some effort differently? Whether I actual tunnel and face camp or not... the "empathy" I get is the same, so why exactly should we show empathy? Like the more I play the game the less empathy I have due to how I am treated when I do show empathy. Is this truly what people want to promote? I played survivor a bit as well, been face camped, tunneled you name it and frankly I get why they do it... that is the empathy I am learning; Killer you do you! Because I understand their frustrations.
I totally agree!!! In some ways it is a chicken or the egg type of thing. I also remember being nice/new and just getting tbagged and hate mail. Accusations that either had no basis or there was a reason for it, i.e. I see your friend hiding near your hook. All of which made me a "sweaty tryhard" killer. Which I see as a compliment.
And I was a sweaty Mfer for years. It has taking me a long time to get to this point. And, if was a long journey as a killer main through the world of survivor to get to this point. But I would definitely say I wouldn't have felt this way 1, 2, or even 3 years in the game.
And, to survivor mains, if you are one of those that bully newer killers are just play in a disrespectful type of way, remember you are creating killers that will get better and show you no mercy.

Thank you person with spirit as your avatar for killer tips
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1915833#Comment_1915833
There is definitely a way to detect SWF. Why this won't happen? because nobody will play against them. Why? Because SWF is op and even if you can deal with it you are so stressed you don't want to play this game anymore
Don't see what an Avatar has to do with anything. But I have played since 2017, I play all killers. I guess you need this information.....
-
OMG and people complain that one side is screaming for nerfs, and all the forums are crying about SWF.
Look, not all SWF is that good. 4 optimal solo survivors will play just as efficiently as a 4 man swf. Probably better because they won't be overly altruistic.
Secondly, this is two fold. IF, you are facing a majority of SWFs, then that indicates the majority of the player base prefer to SWF, meaning it won't be nerfed. If you aren't playing a majority of SWF, then why cry about it.
Look, every red rank killer deals with SWFs daily. They are not all tournament level players, and often are quite predictable in their altruism.
If you are losing as killer, more than you are winning, well you are doing it wrong.
-
I say it to both sides, play the other side with equal intensity and learn some empathy.
This would help survivors understand what tunneling is exactly, why it happens sometimes accidentally, and why it is sometimes needed to swing momentum.
It will also allow killers to understand why purposeful tunneling sucks for the survivor.
By all means play how you want. But after years in this game and all of my goals met, I am trying to play more relaxed. If I go all sweaty for a 4k, at this point, it is all ego driven. Like I can probably 3k easily playing pretty nice.
I guess at some point you have to recognize what kind of killer you are, and how would you feel if a killer used the same tactics against you.
-
Fun is usually the same for both sides. Interaction, the chance to outplay your opponents.
But, if there is no pressure, what do you want them to do? It sounds like not only did they quickly complete all the gennys, but they did bones as well.
I am asking, what else do you want them to do? And don't forget trapper gets stronger as the game goes on.
And if you just wanted to meme around, well many other killers don't. So why would the expect it, or chance it?

Sorry, didn't read, first post.
How are you? Who are you? What do you main, if anything?
Welcome to the forums!! π
-
Welcome back!
But do we really need another thread with an us vs them mentality?
There are toxic people on both sides.
If we keep making posts about the individual toxicity we see, aren't we rewarding the behavior? People get a kind off publicity. Increasing the chances of the behavior being repeated.
I say ######### em, move to next game.
-
Some of us enjoy the debates and have even had our minds changed once or twice.
But, you do have a point π!!!
-
Completely both, but doesn't doing your best contribute to the level of fun?
-
First, I hate to see any of us leave, especially us killers. So, think about hanging around my friend.
And you did good, ######### those pips, you were so close.
@Behavior, since we all are going back to 20s anyway, why not revert the changes and make pipping as killer easier. I think this is what divides us.
U get 3ks and are told, "no, not good enough." U want us to play nicer, more interactive, then let us ######### pip doing it.
-
Like Pavlov's dogs, you get conditioned. So much sweat on both sides, it is easier not to take the chance.
It is why when I power the generator on at my house due to a snow storm. I refuse to go near any open doors. I hear my lady asking, "Do you want tea, hun?"
Aaaahhhhh!! Noooo!
