For me it's definitely Legion with Thanatophobia, Hex: Ruin, Sloppy Butcher

This is definitely high on the list. Add in some Dying Light and dare we say, prenerf undying and this game is just so long.

I guess for me it is anything that really is concentrated on slowing gennys down. I mean more than 1 perk and addon. The old undying, ruin, thana, dying light, combo #########.

Like are you going to patrol any gens?

  • Yeah you can run other tracking perks, but who wants to change their build for this silly gameplay.

I don't understand this. Why not at least try to further the objectives. For me, I always go back and at least try to work on gennys. And when I get found, I work on my loops. Probably why I am often the one found in this scenario, and unfortunately slugged why the killer looks for the other #########. Perhaps because I was a long time killer and have no patience for people just doing nothing. I mean, it's a game. You are not really going to die.

Work on a ######### genny, get found, give a chase and move on to the next match.

P.S. Killers, if you do find me, working on the gennys with just two of us left alive. Please, please, please, just ######### hook me. Trust me I want out of this game as much as you all do.

  • Yeah I run into a lot of red rank killers honestly, and as solo they usually wreck shop. But hopefully it is MM working as intended.

    Are you a red rank?

  • I would say, you nailed it. Seems pretty right on to me.

Yes they are but how often do you see that? I want to say 90% of my killer games are pub stomping solo Qs. I can’t even remember the last time I hit an object SWF and the last time I played against an Object I was Freddy and the guy DCd at the first loop.

I beat SWF with Bubba all the time. He’s not statistically the third most deadly killer at red ranks for no reason.

This guy had a bad build and no addons. To face off against people with full builds and items. Why people refuse to even run brown addons is beyond me, I’m typically rocking purples and greens almost every game.

No, I totally agree. People act like they are getting seal team swf every game.

It's just not true. Maybe 1 out of 10 games i get a team like that. And I would still expect a couple of kills.

  • What do you mean?

  • I agree that it is probably because you just don't see her a whole lot.

But give those that beg for nerfs time. I am sure it is on their list.

  • Technically MM worked here. You are in the middle of these ranks.

If they were SWF or not.

I mean they could have gotten a rank 1 killer with them two red ranks in there.

Yes that is why he is rank 9 and playing bubba my god this is the most brain dead comment I've ever seen and it got 29 upvotes idk if I should be disappointed more in you or the people that up voted ir

Calm down bro. I didn't say he was a bad killer. I said perhaps he wasn't a great killer.

    There is a difference.

no i am not, i play this game with my PS for fun and i don't care about ranks but it hurts me when i meet a premade team high rank probably with discord.

Well I am sorry my friend. But that is the game. And it gets harder the higher you climb in ranks.

Don't take it personally. We have all had our asses handed to us in this game as well.

  • @horrortale_sans said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1894463#Comment_1894463

i know but not all killers are more skilled at the green ranks i was still learning and having Red ranks doesn't make it any easier

No Doubts! And perhaps OP is still newer.

But, that just makes my comment more valid. All of us continue to learn, and we all will face competitors that simply have way more hours in game than us. But these are the games that make us better.

I certainly concede that MM is at fault in those circumstances.

  • @horrortale_sans said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1894454#Comment_1894454

and hes a green rank don't compare him to the red ranks and start thinking you're so good

He's almost a purple. And as you MAY know, playing in purple ranks , you are facing reds anyway.

Plus. A killer is more skilled than survivors of equivalent rank. Killer is the harder role, imo.

  • Yeah, go back and read all my posts from over the years on the forums.

  • Hahaha, sorry brother. 8 devotions of killer, only 2 as survivor.

Hence, why i made the silly little comment. Because those of us that have played red ranks for years, don't do it by camping and tunneling.

  • @SilentPill said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1894407#Comment_1894407

Nah I don’t agree. The only perks that would have really even done anything there is object.

You can’t dead hard if you are getting 1 shot, can’t use resilience if you are getting 1 shot. Even if you do dead hard the saw goes on long enough you probably still saw them anyways unless they are dead Harding to a window. Bubba can saw straight through BT.

Can’t use an instant medkit if you get sawed. Healing doesn’t matter against Bubba if he’s good with the saw.

Flashlights hardly matter against Bubba since you can just look to the side while charging the saw at pallets, look at walls while you pick people up.

He definitely could have gotten a 2k there with good play at a minimum.

I wasn't saying these particular survivors were optimal. There isn't enough evidence to know how they played.

I was agreeing the 4 optimal survivors are hard to beat.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1894394#Comment_1894394

the perks, the 4 crossplay icons, instaheal. if they truly are a loaded swf squad you're just not going to win without nurse, spirit, or blight with meta perks. and i have never witnessed a 4 solo team pick 4 objects, so this is likely a squad.

I'll agree that beating 4 optimal survivors is almost impossible.

But why camp and tunnel the next group of casual solos OP faces.

Take the names, and dodge them next time.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1894353#Comment_1894353

doesn't matter if you put the best bubba in the world against a squad of this caliber, they're going to lose unless they're extremely lucky

    If you say so.

How do you know they were any good?

  • I'm guessing because you're not a great killer.

  • I hope people don't live their lives the way they make threads.

This, let's lump everyone into one stereotype is , frankly, bullshit. There are a myriad of different personalities that play this game. All of us with different perspectives and opinions.

  • @CashelP14 said:

    This is an old discussion.

Haha. I didn't even notice that. You are so right. Damn.

  • Your a rank 16. You only play one side. Your already complaining about perks, that at your ranks, probably are barely even unlocked by the majority of survivors you face.

I'd recommend playing more and watching streamers less. Form your own opinions and stop regurgitating some streamers opines.

And please don't be one of those "us vs them" people. Toxicity exist on both sides.

  • @Father_Dark said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1893822#Comment_1893822

It's still not a win. Also, it doesn't take into consideration player skill. Maybe they weren't as good of survivors as he was a killer. Or maybe they made some mistakes. In the few instances where I have had last minute switch outs against me, the teams really weren't that good. Which is why they do it at the last second.

Y is this not a win? I think this is what makes it so hard and frustrating for us killers. It is that we expect 4ks for a win condition.

I myself am completely guilty of this. I want 4ks every game. I am hoping that with the new rank reset I can learn to play for fun and not so sweaty tryhard.

I always wondered, if killers could pip easier, say with 2ks, would we be able to play a more engaging fun style?

  • You tunneled and camped for the win. IN the middle of a 3 gen. This is on the survivors for 3 gening themselves.

This is when it is completely acceptable to do so. But , of course, your competitors probably won't appreciate it.

  • Yeah, just had one of these games myself. Trying be chill, not sweat.

I get one down. They were all together when I found them. So go search for others, sure they must be in this locker.

Grab him, hook him. 2 on hook, side by side. See other going for save. Hit him. Go to other hook. And let them unhook and I go for someone new. Get him down. They start tbagging, body blocking hook.

I'm like I just left u 2 alone, #########. Rest of game goes pretty fast, me hooking, they tbagging, blocking.

    I'm like #########, I was playing chill.

    SMH.

My solo survivor que in red rank takes normally 3 to 5 minutes, sometimes longer. It sucks.

    Damn, that sucks!

  • Honestly my killer ques are instant.

My red rank solo is almost instant.

It takes a long time when I swf tho. Sometimes longer than the match itself.

  • MM is fine here. Your just new to nurse

  • Stay away from the exit gates during End game.

Don't hate on me for sweating now, trying to remove all of the sweat I got from those early tbags.

  • Tunneling is a tactic that is occasionally needed in the game. I really have no problem with it, except when someone uses it as their overall strategy and not just a tactic to swing momentum.

Tunneling to me is camping/coming straight back to the hook when someone is pulled off. Chasing the unhooked guy, downing and hooking him right away. Ignoring others, even if they take a hit so they are now injured. Ignoring BT and DS. It is the intentional decision to attempt to eliminate a player from the game as quickly as possible.

This is not always the wrong decision. Sometimes it is the smartest move. However, if it is your go to strategy ,game after game, with five gens or one, well you are less than fun to face. But, that is still and individuals decision, and may well be fun for them.

And, finding the unhooked guy on a genny, across the map, as you are patrolling, that is just bad luck.

  • Actually I could give less than a ######### about No Ones Even Dead yet or Depip Saver. If I get hit with DS I will just tunnel you down from there. Or I may be eating it strategically.

And c'mon. If you haven't figured out your NOED counter yet, then you are a Noob or seriously need to work on your gameplay. Do bones. Save certain bones so you know exactly where NOED may spawn. Leave the gates. Let one teammate go, it's not the end of the world if a survivor dies. If you are feeling altruistic, accept that your ass might get hit with the NOED, you already know is up.

Both are strong one use perks. Both sacrifice a perk slot for a very specific circumstance that may not even happen.

Issue Is how often trying to be nice leads to being treated like crap. Slugging at death hook early on is something I do if I think someone is new. Issue is when you get a potatoe that doesn't understand you're being nice, not "toxic" and they act like massive shitheads who don't get the only reason why they got to live another three gens is because you let them.

It can be fine most times but when you're having a bad day and you feel like you had a good game only to have someone go off it can just be a little frustrating to say the least.

I get you my friend. I have plenty of killer time logged. I have received my fair share of tbags and hate.

I am not necessarily saying be nice, just don't be a dick. I'm talking more unnecessary tactics that you know are going to make the match unenjoyable for the other side.

I want to win every game. I want 4ks and 4 man escapes , every time. But I like to keep it as fun as possible. And I am not going to play like a straight ass to achieve it.

  • There is no rulebook for either side. Plsy how YOU choose.

But, I think both sides can agree some things are less than fun and borders on unsportsmanlike.

Sure you can DS a killer into a head on stun then a flash light blind.

Sure you can tunnel one survivor out the game with 5 gennys left.

Is it against the rules. NO. Is it fun or sportsmanlike?

Do you need a rulebook to tell you that?

  • @TheClownIsKing said:

    I really hate this perk.

    I hate it a lot.

    I don’t care about DS.

    I don’t care about Unbreakable.

But Head On needs to be deleted because of the absurd, disgusting ways SWF on comms can abuse the ######### hell out it.

You truly can’t understand how abysmal it is to deal with a constant barrage of coordinated Head On stuns until you come across a team doing this to you yourself.

    Every chase? Interrupted.

Every down and pick up? Saved by a Head On stun.

“oH bUt aT LeAsT tHeY’Re NoT dOiNg GeNs!” It doesn’t matter. If every chase takes an absurdly long time, and so many hooks are denied, then the survivors can take as long they please to do the damn gens.

Unless fortunate enough to down someone in an open area, Head On is infuriating.

The big problem with this perk in a SWF is that there’s no reasonable way for a killer to work around the perk during a chase or when picking someone up. Lockers are far far too numerous on some maps for a killer to be reasonably making sure to keep a good distance from EVERY locker during a chase.

And those god damn lockers at the foot of the basement. Jesus please, they need to go!!!

Anyway, rant over. Delete Head On so it can’t be abused by SWF anymore.

Have you seen the Swey video on YouTube. They stun the killer like 34 times.

True they were not doing gens, and end up dying. But , damn , tough game.

    Can't believe he didn't DC.

  • Can't you just crush Victor?

And pig, her dash can be very strong (in certain loops of course) and if she predicts when you try to leave accurately it is really hard to get away from her

Certainly . You are correct. And as a Spirit main. Having played tons of survivor.

Hats off to all of you maintaining high ranks, keeping it fun, kicking our ass, with killers that don't get enough love!!!!!

I think they sell this type of rock at Home Depot, but you can't have this one. Its mine. Go get your own.

As for the complaints, this post originated from the fact that, before the recent Undying nerfs, I hardly saw a post pertaining to Spirit being OP, but tons about Undying, now with the Undying changes, the Spirit complaints are everywhere.

And of course its also DS whining (its not that op) and other such nonsense. The original post takes the recent "I hate Spirit" pandemic and uses it as an example as to why this game can't have nice things: because EVERYONE whines, myself included.

    Well stated OP.

And way to shine that mirror right back at us.

    You are not wrong.

  • I try to find high ground and scan for a survivor or movement while waiting on discordance to pop. So I can get close, phase and start the game with a grab and a hit on another survivor.

Fun times when it goes right.

As a survivor, jump on a genny and hope someone else's gen is checked first. If not. Well, let's hope it is one of those games when my looping is on point.

  • @GoodBoyKaru said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1885329#Comment_1885329

Actually, she was trash upon release. It took them 2 sets of buffs to get her to her peak and then a couple of minor nerfs (that then birthed the infamous MDR+Yakuyoke combo so I'm not even sure that Yakuyoke was nerfed lol) takes us to where we are today.

Ever since the 2nd set of buffs people have been complaining, however a lot of those complaints were overshadowed by the 3/4 blink Ruin Noed Nurse that used to plague red ranks. When Nurse was changed those complaints finally got to see the light of day.

People have been complaining about her since 2-3 weeks after her release. It doesn't take much to get good at Spirit either.

OP, I don't know where you've been but give me that rock because I wish I could ignore things as well as you.

No she wasn't trash when she came out. That's what everyone said. She needed tweaks, but was far from trash.

I know. I have mained her at rank 1 since her release.

The pray beads and collision had to go tho. And it must take something to be good at Spirit, because we curbstomp Spirits all the time. I feel she is a bit overrated. We saw some of that in the tournament

God loopers can still loop the ######### out of her. She has a cooldown. Can still get gen rushed. Perhaps a good pair of headphones does really make a difference, but I just have a 30 dollar pair so I would not know.

  • I agree. I have seen some amazing Demos just ######### ######### up.

Perhaps we don't credit enough the skill needed to be really god tier with the old demodog.

  • I hear you. But I can probably go from rank 20 to rank 10 in one night of swfing. Sure we can play a long time but, it's still one night.

I still don't think the bloodpoints are worth ######### tho.

That is 5 killer games with BBQ.

  • @SilentPill said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1886895#Comment_1886895

Please stop spreading misinformation. Oblivious and Undetectable are two different status effects. An oblivious survivor gets permanent wall hacks on the killer which is why it’s the best perk against Freddy by far.

Did You even read my comment above your post?

  • @Smol_person said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1886895#Comment_1886895

I think I should clarify this Freddy and the obsession can still both see each other even when within the terror radius because when a survivor is asleep and oblivious it's not the same thing as when the killer is undetectable like cloaked wraith. And since the survivor is asleep it means they never actually enter the terror radius which means the secondary effect of OoO that causes it to deactivate when within the terror radius never happens.

    Oh.

    Perhaps I am wrong.

  • @Kellie said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1885329#Comment_1885329

I didn't hear a single person say she was trash. And its hard not being predictable with something you can't even see.

    Are you kidding me?

Dude, go back and look for posts when she first came out.

And, don't go to predictable loops. You can't just run to a very obvious pallet or pathing.

  • Yeah it is pretty meta. BT, DS, IW, DH is my standard build if I am not just ######### around.

I do like to run Sprint burst, we'll make it, BT, wglf and bring a ranger kit with a gel dressing and tape. And save and heal like crazy.

  • @Malum_Midnight said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1886825#Comment_1886825

You can both see each other if Object is asleep as far as I know...

Not true. Freddy is oblivious with no TR.

Like you cant see cloaked Wraith or Mikey in Teir 1

  • I was wrong.

    Edit. Was. Wrong.

  • @DragonMasterDarren said:

the main reason people want DS nerfed is because of the combo with Unbreakable, putting the 2 together gives you a full minute of immunity from everything including Slugging

Yeah, but that is wasting 2 perk slots for a minute of gameplay. Half of which you are laying on the ground.

  • I'm sorry but I can't take the word of someone who gets looped for 3 minutes. Let alone with Spirit.

You are doing it wrong. How the ######### do you chase 1 person for 3 minutes?

  • @Kellie said:

Spirit has been talked about since release. She's definitely the most hated killer in the game.

And what did everyone say about her when she was released? Do you remember?

That she was trash. Worst killer in the game. Then some people got good with her. Oh, nerf spirit.

Spirit is the easiest of the top 3 or 4 hated killers, to counter.

    Stop being predictable.

  • I have seen Bubbas that will not use the chainsaw. Like why play Bubba then?

1 … 38 39 40 41 42 … 80
