Read them for a couple of months and joined because I had some opinions I wanted to share.
mainly play survivor but killer if I have challenges. Personally think the game is almost balanced and maps are the main problem along with loop rng
Awesome!!!
I look forward to future discussions.
I agree, we are headed towards a good place balance wise.

I prefer playing night as a killer, for this reason, I get more SWF in my lobbies aka an actual challenge. Solo queue lobbies are so easy and boring to me.
See, I agree with this. I don't think enough of us that have played a lot of killer confess to how EZ four solos are compared to SWF. Sure sometimes you run into those 4 great randos that play like SWF, but more often you run into SWFs that play like for randos.
I play when I can. Usually in the evening , and while some games I get my ass kicked, I 4k much more often.
-
Spread out on Gennys. He can only transport to one genny at a time with a cooldown. So if tinkerer procs at different locations he still has to make a choice.
Other than that, perhaps leave a bit early and watch to see if he is really coming or just faking his teleport. Tinkerer is strong on many killers, but certainly quite strong on Freddy. Especially when you get down to the last few gennys.
-
By all means play how you want. But I think DS will boost you a rank or two. If just because you will have more chances to pip during games you otherwise may have been removed early.
I consider it my Depip Saver. On those occasions, especially in solo, where I would have been killed much earlier than I hoped, I can get a DS and maybe do a gen, get a save and preserve a pip.
Also, I like to make sure there is an obsession in each match, and this is two birds with one stone, so to say.
-
No, I don't allow ######### to get to me in real life.
I sure as hell am not getting tilted at a video game.
Also that is what they want. You to get tilted and play poorly. Play your game, widdle them down and you eventually can kill them all.
-
Bbq, loved the points, but I find more value in perks that help me in chase or defend gennys.
Spine Chill, unfortunately I had to equip DS. The tunneling meta is real.

Anyone else get the feeling of deja vu?

Want to win a game fast?
Get four randos. 4k ez!

I am a long time killer and I simply do not understand how so many killers can get upset about DS.
The devs won’t change it because the survivor can only use it ONCE. This means the absolute MAXIMUM amount of times a killer can be stunned by it is 4.
Just eat the stun. It’s really not that crippling. That survivor is now vulnerable for the remainder of the trial.
Thank you, thank you thank you!
I totally agree, eat the damn stun . Why are killers so afraid of getting a 5 second stun? Ds is really only strong at EGC.
But if you get it out of the way early, they won't have it at endgame.
I probably average 8 pallet stuns and a DS or two a game. And still get plenty of 4ks
Stop playing scared killers, you're the ######### killer!!
-
Undying didn't need #########. It was fine as is.
Obviously it was designed to do something.
It did it well, and got nerfed for doing so.
Sorry, but didn't the devs design the perk to do exactly what it was doing?
So is this a lack of awareness in the potential of a perk, or did they cave to appease survivors?
-
I thought it was pretty balanced as it was. Sometimes it would last all game, other times it was gone before you could even cross the map. It certainly lost some of it's potency.
It can certainly be good with DH, if it lasts.
Haunted twice a game would be good, however who is going to cleanse the Haunted the second time?

I don't want to remove swf, I just want some kind of notification when I'm going against a 3/4 man so I know they are sweating and I can kindly do the same
Just always sweat as killer, and you don't have to worry.

Yes sir!!

Eh, giving tips will perhaps give the killer for the next time a better game. I usually give a tip that I think really made him lose the game, like committing to a chase too much or using a very bad perk for that killer.
I don't see it as condescending, just tryna help out a fellow killer and player!
Sure, by all means, do you.
I have just found personally that unsolicited advice is rarely well received.
I'm sure if they were really interested, there is a youtube video they could watch.
-
I just say GG WP, or the like.
I avoid giving "tips" as it may seem condescending, as well, unsolicited.
But I definitely agree that people should avoid the toxic taunts. Look, play how you want, use the tactics you want, but don't throw shade because someone chose to do the same for themselves.
-
I started as a killer main, I have about 8 devotions as killer.
Then I switched to survivor for 2.
Now I truly am a 50/50 player. My heart will always commiserate with the killer's POV, albeit with a dose of survivor skepticism.
-
It's hard to ask for early game slowdown with the kill rates hovering around 65 percent or so.
Discordance is my go to early game slowdown. Start with a grab or quick hook.
-
Ahhh, where has this post been my whole life?
For me, I don't play killer under the influence, I guess I am a sweaty killer and alcohol decreases my awareness.
However, my SWF sessions are often fueled by bourbon and blunts. I know it is time to call it a night when I start missing skill checks. And Damn you all that bring Huntress Lullaby when I am drinking. That is torturous.
I actually noticed, that when I find myself in that nice mellow buzz zone, I play a little more relaxed and seem to have some of my best loops. Just chilling and not caring so much. We are one of those SWFs that truly just shoot the #########, and play for fun. My lady, myself, our 22 year old daughter and a friend we have swfed with for awhile.
But, there is a point when the killers are texting me , "like yo dude, what the hell were you running into that wall for?", lol
-
Hag and Preworked Freddy were my first mains. I loved the movies and just had to play as Freddy. Hag was a big help when I first started playing, finding survivors.
Then they released Spirit and I saved my shards and bought her. I just loved her from the start. I thought, this killer has potential. Guess I was on to something.
-
I agree with @bm33 . The EGC was meant to keep survivors from taking the game hostage at end game. I think it is in a pretty good state as is. Both sides can start the EGC if they prefer.
-
Yeah, I have to agree with a lot of people here. I am also not a fan of deranking. I believe you should play at your own ranks. If you play a killer you are unfamiliar with then wouldn't you lose pips anyway?
Why go to the extreme and depip first? Also if you are used to facing red ranks, you know there are terrible survivors there as well. So it is not like you are running into seal team swf every single game you are using a new killer. And wouldn't it be better to get good with the new killer at the ranks you plan on playing them?
Each their own, but I will never advocate for deranking/smurfing.
-
I think it resets every 24 hours.
But that may just be one at a time
-
I just like a mix of killers. Let those individually decide who they love and may main.
The rest is irrelevant to me. I don't care if people think they are weak, OP, Ez. I play them because they are fun to ME, speak to ME or are just ######### cool!
The rest can be decided in the fog.
-
Just don't DC.
No excuses, unless you're stuck in a glitch.
If you do it, accept the consequences. Besides, it looks really bad when a killer DCs. You realize you are actually giving them a greater victory than just losing, when DCing. Fight until the end, then open the doors. Egc will eventually get them out.
Go break some pallets.
-
I know. I thought we had finally finished the NOED discussion. Then, suddenly , like three threads on the front page. SMH!!
-
I had a opposite game(kind of) recently.
I was killer, and found one of those really good squads. Kicking my ass, tinkerer procing like crazy, looping kings/queens. Tough match. I was getting my hooks, but knew things were not going my way.
Finally, last gen pops, 4 alive, couple on death hook. I fight for 1 exit door, but spoiler alert, we know what is happening at other door.
I switch door targets, get one down. They go for save, I get grab and drop. Another rescuer, save, straight tunnel, pick up, no DS, salvage a kill.
Exit gates, they all tbag, Jane attempts flashlight, turn and phase and get Jane down. Other 2 leave. Jane, tbagging flashlighting Jane, dies on hook.
At end, I'm like "ggs, you all were good" they like "you too, sorry for tbags " I'm like no worries.
Then they invite me to swf with them. I swear I make more swfmates this way then anything else.
And the one that invited me, the poor tunneled Claudette at end game.
Sometimes, it just a game.
-
I don't mind it. It can get oppressive at times, but that is usually because you're facing a killer that is pressuring gennys.
Sometimes I finish a genny and don't even realize I was facing it because the killer is just tunneling one dude and I never had to let go.
But in my experience, for all the games it stands for a long time, there are equal amount of games where it is gone in a few minutes.
And, instead of asking for nerfs, can we acknowledge that the perk does exactly what it was intended to do, prolong hex perks.
Bravo/Brava Devs on this one!
-
I believe this game is killer sided except against the highest level of skill and cooperation.
I myself 4k in red ranks much more than I 4 man escape as a solo, also red ranks.
It really comes down to chases and genny commitment. But, let's be honest, how often do we see this in solo q? So, 4 optimal survivors will make it survivor sided if they are wasting a lot of the killers time and pounding gennys.
If killer is winning chases quickly , hooking, and prioritizing genny protection while survivors play a bit too cautious, then killer wins 90% of these games.
-
I'm just here to say, @Animal_Mother , I love the name!
-
I'm all for getting rid of the hatch altogether.
Maybe, then, when there are two of us left. The other guy might actually help me work on the last genny.
Just make it so gates are powered when there's one survivor left.
-
Yup, leave that key.
I won't pick up a green key. Not worth the risk.
-
Because their objectives are opposed.
The best way to see both sides, is to play both sides with an equal intensity.
Being a true 50/50 player has dramatically changed my POV, from when I main one side for too long .
-

For people struggling with Noed. I suggest not to cleanse every single totem.
Cleanse the difficult to find ones and remember where the easy ones are.
Cleanse one totem and remember 2 and you already have a 50/50 to find noed even when the rest of your team does nothing and it only delayes the gens for 16 seconds
I completely agree with this^^^.
I cleanse the ones by exit gates, so killer can't camp hook, door, and noed at endgame.
Then cleanse hard to fine/get to totems. The others I leave so I have greater odds of knowing exactly where Noed is if it does proc.

I used to take the hits for my teammates. Then i stopped. You want to know why? Today i had a game, 1 gen left, all players alive, the killer is hunting one injured and on dead hook. I take the hit, and lure the killer away to the other side of the map, so the last gen can be done. Since all pallets are gone already, and i was forced to take that hit, i cant outrun or juke him, so i go down and get hooked. The killer runs away, is nowhere near the hook, the other 3 survivors just open the gate and leave, leaving me on a hook for helping them. I hate it to play selfish, but a lot of times when i dont, i get really angry because such thinks happen in solo queue time and again. So yes, i wont do it the next couple of games, until i get a game with decent survivors and feel bad for not helping them.
Yes, I totally agree. The life of solo survivor.
Although for me, tragically, I will still take the hit, in hopes that this game, my fellow survivors will commit to the damn TEAM!!!

I had this deathslinger who chased me the last 4 gens and got me at the end only because of noed, he was playing really poorly but he felt good nodding and facecamping me while my solo q teammates were waiting in the gates instead of looking for the goddamn hex totem and save me. I couldn't even do bones myself, carried my teammates while they did the last 4 gens and the killer gets rewarded anyways.
See, this happened to me as well. How am I supposed to do bones when I'm in a chase all game?
And people don't say "teammates ". Solo q is a nightmare. These are the same teammates that wouldn't take a hit when I ran by them injured with a killer up my ass.
-
I have been playing a lot of Ace lately, usually a Tapp main.
As killer, I switch around a lot. But I always end a session with a couple Spirit games. My original main.
Allows me to get the taste of trying a new killer out of my mouth and have some matches I feel strong in, before I call it a night.
-
When I play killer I am taking advantage of every opportunity that I can.
I try to play as fair as possible, but I am not cucking myself to do so. If, for some reason, you unhook in front of me. Damn well know, that someone is going down, and hopefully both of you. Better have BT and/or DS.
If my game ends in 3 minutes because of survivor misplays, well, gg, on to my next pip.
If you want longer games, play better.
-
One of my all time favorites is, The Changeling. It is a great ghost story, older tho.
Ofcourse the classic slashers, freddy, mikey, jason.
I love the old 🧟♂️ zombie movies as well, Dawn of the dead, Night of the living dead...etc.
I watched a lot of B Horror movies as well. Some weird ones were, Luther the Geek, and Blood Suckling Freaks.
I'll give most Horror movies a try !
-
Happy New Year everyone!!!!
May the best of your yesterdays be the worst of your tomorrows!!!
-
If I'm playing killer, it's coffee.
If I'm playing survivor, well then , bourbon ofcourse 😉
-
Dude, if you want to beat spirit, play her.
I have mained her since she came out, and I feel i escape against her more than many other killers.
I know her in and out. And I as a survivor am an iron will gamer. Use it,it works against any killer. But she is 110 killer with a cooldown. Learn to time her power and sneak away
And don't be predictable .
-
Dude if I purchase my family dinner. And we eat and are merry.
I am not hating on those that received a free meal.
Perhaps chill a bit. And celebrate that we all got fed!

Thank you!!! Just got it!!

Most Hags provide the most miserable and most frustrating experience in a match (usually).
I won’t DC, but on my first hook if the Hag starts spamming traps around the hook, I just suicide. There’s literally no point continuing because that Hag is guaranteeing I don’t get to continue playing the game anyway.
This^^^
-
It's definitely Freddy. Most people just die on first hook against him, so I'm sure the stats reflect that.
Yesterday, I'm solo que, paint brush swingchains Freddy. Straight tunnels guy off hook. He gives up and 2 DC.
Fun game.
