My main Spirit build is TOTH, Haunted Grounds, Devour Hope and either Ruin or Retribution, depending on how fast gens have been going that day. My main Freddy build is PGTW, BBQ, Surveillance and Nurses Calling with dream pallets.

Nice, another haunted grounds, devour spirit!!!!

    This build is often lethal

  • It's a pretty common build. The "no hook me build" . But I like tenacity, flip flop, no mither, unbreakable myself.

Or dead hard instead of unbreakable.

  • And what kills slugs????

    Salt ofcourse!!

  • Bloody clothes that if you wear will get you tunneled.

My issue is with the first one, it simply works.

Solo teammates simply give up when they see killers hard tunneling someone.

No doubts, it is effective. Especially those that do it and use Noed for insurance to get that second or third kill.

And against 4 solos, it's almost broken.

But, it is well within the rules, and something that is hotly debated as far as where it fits in with sportsmanship.

  • First rule of killer, ######### what survivors think.

Second rule of killer , ######### what survivors.

It's a long list, but you get the point.

We all might not like everything we face. We may choose to run what we want, and maybe not run other things out of individual preferences. Don't hate on someone for doing what they find best for them.

In the end it's a game, and just as I will do everything in my power to survive. I will also do everything in my power to 4k.

  • I don't play Freddy anymore, just lost interest.

My spirit build is devour, haunted, pop and discordance. You can get a lot of pressure if things go right with your totems.

If I want to mix it up and get some points, I'll play ruin, surveillance, bbq, and either discordance or make your choice.

I also won't run stridor, personal preference.

  • I personally am of the opinion that the devs are setting up to remove bloodlust.

With more and more deadzones, the less need for bloodlust.

    Just one man's opinion.

  • There really are two kinds of tunneling. Toxic tunneling, straight off the hook, through BT, through DS don't give a ######### about genny protection tunneling.

And sorry I found you again but need a kill to get some momentum tunneling.

Tunneling is fine as a tactic. But if tunneling someone straight out of the game is your whole strategy, then you're probably a bit boosted.

Then why do you think they take it as a "victory" when they only got one hook?

No killer thinks that's a win. Unless you did something to make it a moral victory for them. You were likely facing a baby killer. A good killer isn't chasing you for 5 gens. Hell, I doubt you're running a good killer for 5 gens.

    Who are you?

I asked a question, you seem intent on trying to argue.. I myself don't run Noed, so why would you shake your head at someone after getting them down with one hit?

This was red ranks, so doubtful he was a baby.

I also have stated that I rarely have big runs. But sometimes you get lucky.

Welcome to the forums tho. But, you can find someone else to argue with today.

They probably take it as a win as much as you seem to take it personally that you died.

Do you think you won when you unhook yourself with deliverance, and have DS in your back pocket during the EGC, making it impossible for me to get you again?

First, I literally said, idc about dying. The chase was a win for me.

Secondly , I would not feel like i outplayed someone with that combo you described. It's what I call being outperked, not outplayed.

But, I was asking specifically people who use noed a legitimate question.

  • Play what you want.

But I have to ask Noed users something.

When you get ran for 5 gennys, then get me down with NOED at the exit gates, do you feel like you won? Or outplayed anyone?

It happened to me the other day, and it is rare for me to have really long runs, but sometimes RNG and luck align.

So I get a head nod, and I'm like dude that was a 5 gen hold and you had Noed. Is that satisfying?

For me idc, the run was a victory for me. At least send me a gg back after I throw one your way.

Anywhere, just curious how someone feels in this situation. Do you feel victorious?

  • If he has a TR, you can run around him and farm chase points. Break it off and get escape points.

If you keep switching with other survivors running around him you can get distraction points.

But, idk, I guess some players just want ez games.

Ofcourse, he could have suddenly had to take a #########.

  • Mori Christmas to all and to all many escapes!

  • Yeah this bug is Bull #########. I had 3 grabs canceled the other day. And got credit for one grab. That game came down to the wire. Thanks to some timely slugging, I was able to pull it out.

But the game shouldn't be that hard. I mean , like you said, you don't even get the hit. The guy just runs over and and slams the pallet down.

He should be dying on death hook, but , no, he gets to run off .

    Yeah, outplayed I guess.

  • Only at the highest ranks. 4 really good committed survivors swing the balance to the survivor side.

But, have you played solo q in awhile? The hook suicides, dc, ######### gameplay, lack of work on gennys, swings heavily to the killer's favor.

So, against optimal survivors it is, but a decent killer can 4k against the majority of survivors, especially against a true 4 man solo.

  • ๐Ÿ‘Ž thumbs down ๐Ÿ‘Ž

  • Was this a KYF match?

  • I think DS is fine as is. I ate two DS stuns and about 10 pallets ( cause I respect #########) in my last game and still 4ked.

If anything is needed for DS , it would be to deactivate when touching a genny.

  • I just did this last night.

But it was because I had the same survivor in back to back lobbies. And in the first game they kicked ass. I should have gotten a 0k, but I was able to grab her off the exit door at the last second. They were all on death hook so the rest ran out and she died.

Give our GGs and I said" I should have let you live, you were awesome" and she was in my next lobby. I texted, "Not you again"

But I thoroughly destroyed them. Got good rng and had about 5 hooks before a genny was completed. But when I would catch her on death hook I would just slug her. Until I got the 3k and she got the hatch.

It just felt right. I didn't ignore her, I just didn't put her on death hook.

  • Yes, please bring back MMR. The smurfs are rampant, the padding of MMR as you say, is becoming the norm.

I would rather take our chances with the MMR, I mean killers are facing red ranks when they are green ranks anyway. SO if a few noobs get stomped on either side because of MMR, I don't see how it is much different than now anyway.

    We need Massive sMurf Retaliation!

  • Yes, check to see if you have unlocked them on Bill. It was reset when they released him on console.

"Maybe you're just burnt out. Try playing some survivor, you know? Or-or maybe play another game for a change, go play Civilization or something"

    Pretty good job so far

    Ok?

    Sound advice.

  • They fool survivors into thinking you played a Shroud of Separation.

    edit, spelling

  • Most of the time , I do not.

If I am really curious about the outcome, or the killer's/survivor's particular perks, I may.

  • No thank you! The less unsolicited advice in this game, the better.

  • IDK if OP is the right word. It can be really strong. I have had games where it lasts all game, and usually they end in a 4k. I have also spawned in, seen a survivor on my totems, and by the time I crossed the map, both were gone.

So it has the potential to be really strong, but at the same time can be destroyed very early in the game. The higher the ranks of the competitors, the higher the odds it will be destroyed quickly.

I think the only thing that needs to go is the aura being shown.

  • Idk if it is considered underrated, but I'm a big fan of discordance.

This is a good point. I usually chase the survivors out, just to finish things up and maybe get a free hit and some points, but, if it's super obvious they want me to come look at them -- like, if they're spamming loud noise notifications or something -- I don't go. The magic of EGC is that they have a limited amount of time to mess around so, if you want the game to be over, open the gate before you go stand in the corner. Get your gate opening points and guarantee the match will end no matter what they do.

    Exactly!

If I got stomped, I avoid the door. I look for pallets to break and spam my power to get more points.

Fk em, they have 2 minutes to hop into lockers if they are those types of people.

  • Dude, it's a game. Perhaps try not to take it so seriously.

I'd recommend taking breaks, or switch and play some survivor games.

You will have games where you get dunked on. It happens.

But ofcourse, if it frustrates you too much, then by all means, uninstall.

  • Y not just open the gates?

  • Yeah, that's why I swf or play killer.

Solo que is a joke anymore. Occasionally you get good teammates that understand what is best for the team.

But mostly it is just selfish players, playing for their own pips and escapes.

  • Yes, survivor is easier!

  • First off, why care ? As killer you do what you think is best in the moment and provides the greatest chances of victory.

Honestly, if you hit two survivors, patrolling. They should have used that sprint burst from the hit and rushed to the hook and saved the dude. That's on them. Bring some BT and DS and they may have gotten out.

Killer, is a constant evolution of gameplay during a match. Do what you think is best, react to the current situation and 4k those #########!

Unless you're facing me as survivor, then play chill and let us all go!๐Ÿ˜Ž

  • People are so silly. And damn , you weren't kidding when you said they wrote a book!! Look at that paragraph.

People really need to learn to take a loss. Have some class and lose with dignity. You don't have to agree with the tactics that beat you, but , you lost. Accept it and move on.

  • I thought you were referring to pray beads!

That build is horrible you should try this one instead

I actually like this build, but with flip flop instead. The cant hook me build

  • Congratulations!!!

  • I wish I was shocked ๐Ÿ˜ฒ by my teammates play anymore.

    Sadly, I expect it.

I am more shocked when I get quality teammates, and so appreciative.

Thanks to all of those of you putting in quality survivor gameplay during my solo games!

  • Yeah, we like the challenge. That's why we play killer. If we wanted it easy , we would play survivor. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

But , seriously, idk, I rarely if ever go past yellow offerings.

I'll save my crazy stuff for when I want to go all sweaty on a suspected swf.

  • I think the terms toxic and entitlement have lost all meanings on these forums.

Personally there is very little in game that I would consider toxic. I can see certain behaviors being less than sportsman like, however I wouldn't label them toxic. If they can be done in the game, without breaking the rules, and you are trying to win/help your team win, then it's all fair.

Even, get ready for it, the Tbag to distract or get the killer's attention, isn't toxic. It's a pixelated character doing squats. If the goal is to get the killer to stop tunneling a teammate and he chases you, well you did a service to your team.

I honestly don't understand how these small things in a video game cause a person real life anger. Same if your ass gets facecamped and tunneled for getting the killers attention, with said tbags. You asked for it, you got it, not toxic.

Really ignorant post game chats, intentionally sandbagging a teammate, or working with survivors/killer to kill the others are probably the only things I would consider toxic.

  • @konchok said:

I had a game where the survivor is at the exit gate, I expose and down him. When I go to hook him, he wiggles free. He runs back to the door and I down him again. He wiggles, now we both know that I can't make it to a hook. So I drop him on the ground after a minute I pick him up and he continues to wiggle. I place him back on the ground and let him bleed out. After the game is over he says that I was toxic.

So Forums what is your consensus, was I toxic?

As an additional note: the reason there were no hooks is that they ran 2 purple hook offerings to increase the distance between hooks. This was a 4 man swf, lowest ranked individual was a rank 3.

    Toxic as #########!

NO just joking. You did everything in your power to secure a kill. Sucks for him, but if he wiggled off ,he had a chance to loop you and get out. I have had people pick me up and walk me away from the door only to drop me because there were no hooks available and they wanted EGC to get me before I could crawl out.

I understand the tactic. It makes sense. Killers are not just going to stop playing because you got the doors open. I can respect this.

  • The grind, it is too much to constantly be unlocking the same perks over and over again to get the one perk you want. Especially if they are going to continue to release new characters.

  • I really haven't played them much myself yet. I plan to put some time into them this weekend. I have seen a lot of slugging and hook camping with the twins when I have played against them.

I can understand why, it seems strong on them.

I won't have many perks just yet,so I will be running whatever i have.

I would like to unlock discordance on them if I can. I think it would be good to unleash Victor right away and start patrolling the map. Discordance would be a nice time saver at the beginning. Other than that, I will let you know after playing them a bit.

  • NIce bait dude.

Doubtful many give a ######### on how you decide to play. Most of us have seen it all. If it's fun for you, then enjoy!

  • Good for you for owning your own misplays.

I feel the same. I know when I got outplayed and can accept it and learn from it. Then use it to get better.

I know my weaknesses and continue to try to improve.

There would be so much less frustration in this game if people would accept, that sometimes, "you" made a mistake and stop hating on your competitors for capitalizing on them.
