I like to give GGs when due. That's about it.
-
I just started running OoO because I want to improve my looping and getting tunneled is a big help! I will say that OoO is some Bullshit tho. Against really good killers, it doesn't matter so much because they can still end chases fairly quickly against me. Less experienced killers or those that refuse to chase the Object, damn that perk is broken.
But, since I started running it, it will probably get nerfed. Seems as soon as I run something, Nerf incoming. Yeah I recently tried out Undying.
I don't run keys tho.
-
The one texting in end game chat!
-
Or just continuing stomping and you will double pip more frequently and move up quicker.
-
How is spirit no skill.
But Bloodlusting is?
At least as a Spirit, you are relying on her power to get downs and not the BL mechanic, which many other killers do.
-
But the survivor had to play the whole game with only three perks.......
Seems like I heard that argument before.
If I could only remember.....🤔
-
You don't lose points if you are in a chase.
-
I mean, they could have lost connection.
But I see people do this on both sides. Like take the points.
People get emotional I guess.
-
Hopefully, maybe we can all sweat a little less.
-
You seem to get a lot of ######### teammates.
-
The simple answer is it was much easier to change the mori coding i.e. 2 hooks instead of 1 as opposed to the coding to completely redo keys.
-
You get better items and addons. (Slightly better odds of purple items and addons)
No difference in perks. That is still RNG.
-
Never go to the gate at end game.
Never.
Go.
There.
They will leave if there is no one to see them dance.

Let's be honest, the game is not balanced. This is the only game I know of where you can literally make no mistakes and still lose. Skill isn't as a big of factor as you might think. Killer can camp, tunnel, slug to compensate, but its not going to win against coordinated SWF on coms. Let's not forget doing any of those will result in berating, forum posts for nerfs, and the occasional death threat.
I think the game is fairly balanced. But it is a game that the longer you play the better you will do at a particular role. So , the are large discrepancies in skill, even at equal ranks.
I think as killers, we get frustrated because we want it balanced around 4ks. It doesn't help the the emblem system promotes this mindset. So, often we see 2ks as a loss. And get tbagged for our efforts as well.
-
Actually, I rarely pay attention. But I did recently have one game, where of course, I was accused of camping. I was playing Mikey, got lucky with a Hawkins map. So at the end game, I'm like "Dude whatever, I got it taped, no camping"
But when I looked at the suvivors, not the one texting me, I noticed one had TTV. So I popped over the next morning and found the game. And it was kinda of cool seeing myself playing the game. And, I told homeboy, the crybaby, to go over and watch it and you can see I did not camp, not that it matters.
Quote from the streamer, "Damn, this game is not going well." After watching me destroying the rest of his team across the map. Pretty funny tho.

I agree with this. I think 4 experienced survivors who know what they are doing are favoured. But I rarely see this in soloq. In which case I think killer is usually favored.
It’s amazing how much difference it makes when just one teammate urban evades around the map or refuses to get in a chase. Not saying it’s impossible but it is significantly harder.
Yes, exactly why many killers try to turn it into a 3v1 as fast as possible.
A 3v1 against a good killer gets significantly harder.

And matchmaking certainly doesn't help to get an accurate picture of this either. MMR will eventually attempt to fix that, but I don't have high hopes for it.
Yes. This is completely true!

Any advantage a killer can gain in a 1v1 is inconsistent. This can be because of pallet and window RNG, which can spawn in a manner that heavily favors survivors, or pallets can spawn in a way that favors killers. Windows that don't favor survivors don't help the killer either. Unless the killers power can make use of it.
Another way the 1 v 1 is inconsistent is the second chance perks that can demolish any advantage gained. Dead hard being one, while it is fair in some ways, it can be used to fix outright dumb mistakes made by survivors that would ordinarily be punished by killers.
One of the other ways the 1v1 is inconsistent is the way killer powers are balanced. Some killers can have an extreme advantage in a 1v1 situation, while others will struggle to maintain the advantage, and can have it slip at any moment because of the aforementioned RNG and second chance perks.
So overall, the 1v1 can fluctuate at a moment's notice due to power balance, poor or favorable RNG, and second chance perks.
( Another factor could be bugs, such as blight's collision making his power unbearable on some maps which can destroy his advantage of mobility, but those within themselves are inconsistent )
Certainly RNG factors in. But there are ways a killer can run these optimally as well. Also there are certain spots that should not be chased.
But, I definitely believe that 4 optimal survivors do indeed swing the power role to the survivor side. However, these are not the majority of survivors I face, nor are paired with in Solo Q.

Red rank survivors have a 80% escape rate, that easily beats the 60% killrate for killers.
Where did you find this stat?

I agree that in the overall 1 v 4, the killer and survivors should be on equal footing. But you are ignoring the fact that there is a 1 v 1 aspect, where the killers one should be more powerful than the survivors one. The survivors should have to work together to be just as powerful as the killer.
Does that make sense?
I can see that point. However, don't you believe in a 1v1 that the killer has the advantage? The real reason survivors are powerful is not the 1v1. It is what the other 3 do while you are engaged in the 1v1. If they are pounding gennys survivors become strong by limiting your time to get hooks. If they are healing and urbaning around, well then killer has very little pressure on them.
-
I was a long time killer main. I am now a true 50/50 player. I play all roles, Killer, SWF, and Solo.
I still believe solo q is the hardest mode in this game.
-
If you don't feel in the power role when you are playing killer, well you are doing it wrong.
Or you are facing those that are at a higher skill level than yourself.
-
If I am swfing, I'll take a shot, BS with my mates, go put some wood in the fire.
If I am solo, probably just BS with my lady until my game starts. Although for me, solo at red ranks is actually really quick.
-
Aren't Sweh and Aaron Claudette mains?
-
I agree with OP 100%.
I also have a lot of time with spirit and do quite well when verseing her because of it.
I always run iron will as well. It is so good against every killer.
And if you want to beat her. Play her. You will learn to counter her effectively when you know how to play as her.

my bad then. Still, the premise that removing 4 perks affects the balance by over 15% is really, really sad for the balance team to hear, I'm sure
Fair enough, but it does cover for bad teammates, unfun killer tactics and overall things outside your control.
So it helps you, or others, actually get a shot to live and play the game, where you may have wound up dead.
-
I was watching sweh stream today and his matches were crazy rainbows 🌈
-
I agree with you OP.
Play both sides goddammit!!!
You help out your survivor friends, providing more matches, you can also learn exactly what camping and tunneling is, and why and when it may be beneficial.
-
I never bring Franklin's. 4 medkits don't bother me at all. Go heal, just leave the gens alone.
Flashlight, no worries, you all are going to be too altruistic, 4k ez.
4 toolboxes, lobby dodge.
Key and map , lobby dodge.
I ain't wasting a whole perk slot to combat an item.
Now, Franklin's on Hag, then trap the item, different story. I love playing that game. Especially with rusty shackles.

If a wounded survivor comes to you and crouches, heal them. If you unhook someone, don’t automatically assume they want healing. If they want to be healed they will follow you. Don’t follow them unless they are immediately heading for a nearby gen that’s close to repaired. Don’t be pushy with healing others at the expense of getting objectives done. Tea bagging next to me to heal while I’m busy fixing a gen is super un-helpful. Want to help? Fix the gen! Maybe I don’t want to heal because I’m running a perk like resilience that only works when you’re wounded. Maybe I have Second Wind. Also, if Nurse is the killer, just assume that it’s unsafe to heal near her within her terror radius.
Anything else?
I agree. Except when you ignore me and I'm 99 percent healed. At least take a second and check to see if that is the case.
-
That's the new meta.
Once the no heal gen rush meta took over. Then came the camp and tunnel as many out of the game as fast as you can meta.
With the undying nerf cherry on top. Many killers are just using Noed.
It all still comes down to the same thing. U want to survive, you better have some loopers on your team.

If that's true, then the game needs a big rebalance, if 4 perks are the difference between a 45% kill rate (or whatever it sits at) and an 80% kill rate
It sits at like 65%. Every killer averages over 50%

Either way, you were in your car and you were the one driving.
So where you ended up, was up to you!

Oh wait they do, it's called Coup de Grâce and it only activates once per gen.
How about you give DH the same balance and give survivors a token once per gen?
That would probably be more than it is used now.
You really can use it once per chase. Which is like 3 times a game. And if the same survivor is getting off 3 DHs against you.
Well, you really need to learn how to bait it out and end chases.

Wouldn't you just say I got out perked? You made it seem like I said that
My Friend, you interpret what you read. I made one simple comment. How you take it, is a matter of your perspective and psychology.
-
No, I said that.
-
Discordance. I just can't get away from this perk. Provides a lot of early game pressure, as well is strong late game.
-
You got outperked, not outplayed.

Wait can we talk about this?
The snowflake generation? I don't understand this nonsense of "oh this generation is just a bunch of snowflakes and sensitive and ect". There were snowflakes throughout history. Back then people would write letters to tv producers explaining there dislike of an episode because they didn't like what they saw. People would get angry and complain about video games and different music "corrupting their youth". People would also get triggered for not wearing the right clothes and showing skin.
People have always been "snowflakes" and sensitive about things since almost the dawn of human history. So to claim that this is the snowflakes generation is wrong.
(This is my rant for the day)
Yes.
100% correct.
But, I find myself in the older generation now. So , this previous ❄, gets to call this generation, snowflakes.
-
I agree.
However, if you are a straight tunneler. You get the bags!
Idc about camping, I got that BT and ill take a hit.
But like it says in Matthew 4:16.
Tunnelers, get the bags!!
-
C'mon dude. Tbags and flashlight clicks are your concerns.
Don't take the bait, play your game and widdle their friends out. You will eventually get them.
And sometimes you lose. Deal with it and move on.
Is this the snowflake generation, or what?
-
Yeah, that is MM issue, not a swf issue.
A red rank killer might have destroyed them.
-
Removing these perks will put the kill rates in the 80 percent range.
-
Yes, should have a bit of a drawback i think.

It has been said tons of times, but here we go again.
If it is a Killer other than extreme god-tier Nurse which are almost impossible to face, Decisive Strike is too helpful for its users. After being rescued, you get healed, cleanse a totem, do a gen (I am not exaggerating, this is more than possible), get downed against billy because u made a mistake, and hit a skill check to erase it! Awful!
Dude, cmon, this is complete Hyperbole. It's like 16 seconds to get healed. 14 seconds to do a totem. Another 46 seconds to complete a genny with another person. That is well over 60 seconds. Not to mention chase time, unless the Hillbilly just downed you as the gen popped.
I admit there are times when this perk is used offensively. I personally rarely have a problem with DS. I prefer to eat it early if I can. It is really only strong at end game.
What we should consider, is why is the perk so needed/used? You may run this perk for 10 games in a row and only use it once. But people keep equipping it.
I think it is only troublesome on those really skilled players that can use it offensively.
-
Only ....master baiters... ask for their minds to be changed in their posts!!

I am all for it. Give us console players something tho, we didn't have legacy. However, I am sure we would be open to some freebies!!!

Sorry for the slight off topic, but your reply is something of an answer to a question I wanted to pose to the forum- how often do you get your butt kicked vs how often you 4k? The other night when my pals and I played, we got a couple of 3-4 man escapes, and one of the killers in the post game chat mentioned how it was the first non potato team that they had gone against that night (around 1-2am when we played, mind you, and all survivors+killer were red ranks) and that he appreciated the challenge even if he only got a single kill, while another one lamented "how poorly he played" and that it was the first non 4k he had gotten all night for his first time ever playing as Spirit.
When I play my strong killers, mainly Spirit I expect to 4k most games, 3k if they get the hatch first. Probably about 85% of the time.
I get a solid butt kicking about 10% or less. But you are correct. I appreciate these games. I don't hate on solid teams. I respect teams that play well, loop well , body block to save a guy from death hook. Even if I lose because of it, I know I presented a challenge and enjoy getting one in return.
Sprinkle in some tie games and I figure I win much more than I lose. I feel when I play Solo survivor, many killers I face in Red ranks 4k quite often as well.
These are the games that make you a better killer. I going to sweat either way, so might as well enjoy the challenging games when they come.
