It isn't affected by someone else healing you. That way, you don't get screwed over if someone taps you incidentally.
Oh...okay. Maybe I understood it wrong. So you can get healed and it still works, until you are 100%? Or even after until you perform an action?

I always suggested it should deactivate on full heal since if you can fully heal ds is probably almost out of time mid chase and out of chase your saying your back in the game when you full heal.
Yeah, I totally agree on that one. Full Heal, then deactivate. Thanks for the info!!

Have tested yes even a tap. Im assuming its because if your healing your not being tunneled? Idrk.
Ohhhh. damn, that is silly. Sometime I try to heal a bit at a time mid chase. Now I guess there is no point doing that. Wow. They should allow you to heal yourself.
-
I thought it wasn't affected by healing yourself. I think it should remove when fully healed, but not if you just started healing.
So just starting to heal yourself, removes DS?
-
Got my normal million dollar cap. But not even buying this Dlc. A first for me, just not interested.
-
Yeah, this is exactly what Freddy needs, a buff.

Sorry but SWF is not going anywhere. If you hate it so much, best start looking for a new game. There is little that can be done, trying to divide the ques would destroy the already long que times.
Like others have said. There are many of us red rank killers that constantly 4k. And I myself am playing with self imposed handicaps of sticking to the "survivor rulebook."
So, once again, probably going unanswered, but I like to ask in these posts. Are you losing more than you are winning as killer?
-
I'm not that old school. But I respect those that came before me!!!
Much love to all you forum "salty dogs"...as we say in the Marine Corps!!!

Oh no...close the curtain...your bias is showing.

A while ago there was a discussion where someone admitted that they like to send people a gg after they destroyed them as a slugging nurse to trigger them, so even though it was originally meant as a nice thing not everyone is using it this way. But in this case it's probably best to just ignore the person saying it.
Yeah, no doubts. I am sure those people exist. But I am a strong believer in "kill em with kindness ".
So l'd just return the gg and move on. But that is more a deficiency within themselves and hence not worth my energy to worry about.
-
No. It is nice and sportsman like.
If someone takes it as an insult, they just have a soft ego and are waiting on their participation trophy.

It's not a big thing at all, but it's on the level of: "Oh yeah, i know that actor, he's pretty cool."
Fair Enough!!! Lol

When the undying Nerf was announced, it was discussed by many how the Devour/Undying combo was going to be the next best thing. I think it took a bit, but it does seem to be much more prevalent than previous.

Did you even read the title of this post? Do you not see people saying killer is frustrating to play and that survivors always win? All you got out of this post is me posting a picture of a casual 4k against solos when that's clearly not the case. Just read this and don't respond please
I did read the title. Is that the point? I don't agree with the position that survivor always win. I doubt many long term killers will as well. Many of us, yourself included have plenty of success against survivors, randos or SWFs.
I just don't get why make a thread saying, look at me. I 4ked.
-
I do not think DS would have changed the outcomes of these games.
But these are what I refer to as "Chicken or Egg" debates. If you don't apply pressure when the opportunity is presented, then you may well lose the whole game. And if you allow the survivors some slack, then your gennys will pop like crazy and your left playing from behind. I also played highly competitively for a long time, and there is nothing wrong with that play style. But you are not wrong, it can be cause for some unfun situations.
But if survivors are going to have a meta of pound gennys as fast as possible and not heal. Well killers are likely to tunnel, slug and camp. It is the world of DBD. At least until enough people get bored with the sweat fest and begin to play more chill.
Or you play so long that you now have the probability of outplaying many of your opponents and can choose the intensity of the match by your skill and experience.
-
It is a great perk and beneficial against a camper. Very strong at end game as well. I don't run it often anymore. I run Bond and can usually perform a safe hook rescue or I take the hit using the information from Bond. But it is a strong perk.
-
The Changeling, 1980. Always scared the hell out of me when I was young.
-
I always send a gg after a match. Win or lose, killer or survivor I send gg's..
I haven't really gotten a salty comment in a long time tho. I play quite fair as of recently so there is little to complain about, even if I kicked their ass. I have gotten some nice messages complimenting my game play, which has been refreshing.
-
I can't wait for the new Wraith speed. I love Wraith and this is a nice buff. I'll probably get a lot of ######### for running Wraith tomorrow and not the new killer, but whatever.
Not really into the new killer , probably first one I won't buy.
-
Toxic and Entitlement have no more meaning in this game.
Nothing in game is toxic. If it is not an exploit or a hack and it is in the game it is not toxic. Sure there are play styles and tactics that may be less than fun for the other side, that does not make them toxic.
Play how you want, and let others do the same.

They had all the advantages in the world and lost to a killer with 3 perks. Salty survivor mains hate seeing 4mans get destroyed i guess
No, sorry friend much more time as killer than survivor.
I just don't understand the point of these posts. Should we all post pics of every 4k or 4 man escape?
This is pretty much the norm for those of us that have years invested in this game.
But, congratulations again. I guess. Keep doing the lord's work.
-
Certainly, and play how you want. But if you feel badly or wonder if you are wrong, doesn't that indicate you are doing something against your own nature?
And if so, who is really the winner?

No one would. It sucks being in that situation. But I would always try and stay in the game as long as possible to get the most points I can
I understand that. But players like me with 4 years in game, always sitting on a million points play more for fun than points anymore.
I play as I would like to verse. So, if I wouldn't want to play against it, I don't do it. I prefer fun interactive games at this point than worrying about 4ks or 4 man out.
-
Play how you want. But you seem easily triggered by a video game.
Can't blame Nea tho, who wants to stay in that game?
-
What did you do...4k?
I wouldn't say they got rolled, everyone pipped.
I guess this,was your first 4k. Congratulations!!
-
I always say good killers dont use noed and good survivors don't give a ######### about noed.
I mean, I never run noed and never feel I need to. But I got 4 years in the game,so it would skew the data to say "Noed never triggers, so it isn't strong. "
But, I'll stand by my first statement. If you are relying on NOED every game, every build, your boosted.
And if you die to NOED, game after game, well your boosted too.
-
Both sides have hypocrisy. These posts intended to divide the community are silly and really only go to show your bias.
-
I'm sure all the nerf.....fill in the blank.....threads are coming.
Don't worry.

In my experience, the more chill you play, the more abusive survivors become. It must be a regional thing, I guess.
You are not wrong. I get those games as well. But, over the course of a gaming session, I get more people who are appreciative of a fun interactive game, than the same old sweat fest game after game.
In fact, all of my current SWFmates, are people I met playing killer. Mutual respect and a common view on sportsmanship grew into online friendships.
-
I mean to have a chill mode you must create it yourself. As killer, the more chill you play, survivors will notice usually and start to play more chill themselves. You know don't tunnel when you have an obvious chance to. Never camp. And reset your own internal definitions for fun and wins. I notice when I do this, Survivors are more likely to heal, search chests, totems etc.
As survivor, a lot depends on the killer you verse. If the killer is all sweaty you can really only match that intensity or die and move to the next game.
In the end, play for you, and as I like to say, play how you would want to verse. Then you will be playing towards your own win definitions, which is in itself more fun than trying to reach some arbitrary number of kills or escapes.

During rush hour I can fking garantee that more than half of my enemies r SWF on comms
I hear what you are saying.
But do you know how many times killers tell me I am swfing, and I am solo? Happens quite often, and they refuse to believe I am not.
4 experience player's can be just as efficient as a SWF. And to some degree better, because they don't become overly altruistic.
And I play a lot of killer, and there are a lot of survivor potatoes out there as well.
My question to these posts is always. Do you lose more games than you win as killer?
-
I am never for "punishing " anyone for playing a game. Regardless of how I enjoy their playstyle, that is still their choice.
Now , incentifying killers to not tunnel would be a different approach that I can support.
But truth is, if a person is a tunneling killer, then there is little that is going to change that.

It's like dipping your toe in the water before jumping in.
Trying to gauge the temperature. Looks cold down there.
-
Because they can see your aura. Most hexes alert you when it is in play.
-
You are very right OP, and I love how you got #########, through the censors , lmao!!
That is why I play by the rule...play how you would like to verse. Then you have not complaints. Upvote from me my friend
-
Depends on the role I am playing....As a killer, hell yeah. I want high noon in the Arizona desert.
As as survivor....could use a little more shade...throw in some pallets as well please...and I think a window would go nicely over her....but I digress.
-
It is the survivors responsibility to avoid a 3 gen. Can't hate on the killer for taking advantage of an opportunity during a 3 gen.
-
you are so wrong, and this is another silly attempt to divide the community.
Either you are a very new, very bad or a very biased killer.
Nice bait, got me. And I have seen thousands of bait posts!!
-
Drink bourbon and smoke blunts.
If I want an instant que.... I play killer or solo

Game is not fun anymore. I am playing as killer and solo surv.
As killer i am not camping or tunnelling. With that cost i am losing gens. I still have 2k usually but games are really not fun. Because ending so fast. So that is forcing me use end game builds. That is just not fun.
As Solo survivor, game is terrible. Tunnelling, useless teammates, toxic killers bla bla bla. I always playing and saying myself, please one good game... But most of games are not fun. I think i will stop to play this game. Because full stresful and not fun anymore
You are not wrong my friend.
Unfortunately, so many only main one side and don't know how to empathize towards the other side. So they ignore fun gameplay for self defined "wins" It is fair and just. They deserve to play as they wish.
But some of us walk a different path, drop the egos, and win or lose, play for fun. I hope to meet you in the fog OP....I thing whether teammates or opponents we would find the game fun.

The meta shift in killers does indeed seem to be towards high amounts of camping and tunneling. I know the game has shifted for survivors to the no heal gen rush meta as well, so we get another chicken and egg argument.
I watch a lot of streamers and you can see it in their games as well, when they play survivor. I don't see a lot of it from the top ranked killers that stream. It happens of course, but not as their main tactic. Not the purposeful, go into the game knowing you are tunneling, type of attitude.
This is where the game is at right now. And it is unfortunate. If you don't have god loopers on your team and those that pound gennys, well you probably lose. Especially as solo. But if you do, then the killers have no fun, they lose and.....well......is it the chicken or the egg's fault.
-
I understand this happens, I have seen some silly ######### with kindred as well.
But the other side is also true, How much silly altruism is caused by camping. We all know, do gens and camping doesn't win. But it is a team game and it is hard to just sit and watch someone die on first hook because of camping. I am sure that is why we see it so often, it gets reinforced. However if it is early game is is hard not to try and help a teammate have a better game experience. It is the main reason I am seriously considering running Deliverance.
As for me personally. I don't camp, I understand this sometimes will cost me a game. But I am very rarely near a hook during a save and I am not a return to the hook killer. I know at some point, it only makes sense to return to the hook, as it's been 45 seconds and you know someone is coming for the save. But it is just not my style anymore. I have certainly done it in the past, especially in my first year of DBD.
-
I just play normal, and I win the majority of my matches. If I do get my ass kicked, I just go break pallets and spam my power for points. I don't go to the exit doors at that point.
-
Play how you want by all means. I personally have played so long neither a 4k nor a 4 man escape is worth using tactics that I myself do not enjoy facing. I recommend playing how you would like to verse.
I can say I haven't received a salty message in over a year at least. And my current SWFmates, besides my wife, are all survivors I have met playing killer. Mutual respect started conversations that morphed into online friendships. And know we laugh and talk about our games together and verse each other.
So you are correct, you bought the game and you have the right to play in whatever style you choose. But, the longer you play, your win conditions and definitions of what is fun, may change.
-
Well, that would be the fear, wouldn't it? You play both, get massive points and the possibility of an increase in tunneling to achieve the mori. I know not for everyone, but I have seen many use the Mori as incentive to tunnel a guy off the hook. I like BBQ because it incentives leaving the hook and chasing a different survivor.
