People quitting out of frustration? TBH, I’ve been thinking about it all week. Yelled at my monitor this morning out of disgust for this system. IDK any more…I’m trying to give it a chance. I really am.
I'm trying hard as well, and I was a strong supporter of SBMM. But my solo games have been terrible. I really don't want to go back to SWFing, but it is almost to the point that I either swf or just take a break. It breaks my heart to have to do that, as this is the only electronic game I play.

I think we should adjust the gen speeds depending on the killer being used. Ones that have low mobility and map pressure should get a little more time to compensate.
I personally think we should just bring back old ruin. That helped ALL killers. Current ruin only helps killers that can apply pressure. Let's face it, a lot of them have a hard time doing this.
I think we should adjust the area of the map size depending on the killer being chosen. Trapper shouldn't have to patrol the same area as say Spirit or Blight.
-
Yeah, but always remember it goes both ways. Killer comes in to play and gets 3 gens done in 2 minutes. But , nice that you all had fun.

It's been so bad playing Solo that I've come to the same conclusion. That if I'm ever to have fun in the game again, I have to find an SWF group.
I agree, I really don't like to Swf much anymore. Occasionally, we get some old friends together and have some drinks and swf. But for the most part I like the freedom of Solo. Ready up at my own pace, talk to my lady in between, maybe switch and play some killer.
But at the moment, the game in solo is almost unbearable.
-
Honestly, it's the same for solos as well. I'm beginning to think the only ones enjoying this are the 4 man swfs with 4 competent players.

It's not the frequency that matters. It's an unintended bug that people exploit to deny guaranteed 4k's.
Then, like xenotimebong says, it just is not a priority at the moment. There are much bigger issues with the game then occasionally losing a 4k to a hatch tech.
-
It's really not that big of a deal. I mean how often can this happen, maybe once a day?
-
It's been the meta for quite some time, IMO
-
They certainly put the F U in fun with this one.
-
4 hours ago, I would have said a success.
But after this last gaming session, total failure.
But like Karu said, I'll give it a bit more.
-
Well, what do you call a group of crows????
-
Why not play kill your friends, if all you want to do is ######### around with friends?
Casual mode would be abused, everyone would just load into casual and get all sweaty. As well as split the queues.
-
The Last two posts I read, "Camping should be fixed" "Body blocking should be banned"
SMH

I own all the killers and play them all. With varying success, lol.
Honestly, I play two solo q games, then I play a killer game as the last killer I versed, using their build. Unless it is slowdown heavy, I just don't enjoy running those builds anymore.
As survivor, I own most, but I am a Tapp main. Although recently I have been running cheetah pig Meg for the fun look and the occasional boop the snoot.
P.S, except Spirit. I won't run Spirit anymore, mained her for 2 plus years and I just don't use her much anymore. Maybe I just played her too much.
-
Early poster salt threads.
I miss my early days on the forums.
Rage...Rage....against the dying of the light!
-
Yeah, I gotta agree with some others. Both sides can deal with unfun tactics, but that is the game. And I am all for eliminating some of the grind and giving more bloodpoints.
But, if you want , play Spirit with BBQ and a Pudding and you can get 100k a game.
-
I definitely play less, but not because of SBMM. It has just been 4 years, and many friends have left. So I play solo and killer mostly, but like all things, after four years, my time in game has decreased. I love the game, but just have other things to do that are keeping my interest more.
-
Yeah, just bad luck here.

^ this.
I want to run Perks which are fun for me. This does not mean that I run Meme-Perks, but strong(er) Perks I like.
Exactly, much more diversity in my builds now!

Exactly my mindset.
I'm not getting any money for getting a 4k so might as well just play for the gameplay.
I go out of my way to not tunnel, camp or slug. The only slowdown I bring is Corrupt so people don't spawn at 4 separate gens.
From there it's up to them how the game goes. If they loop well and do nothing but gens even whilst injured they'll probably all escape in 3 minutes but... At what cost?
I'm a rare killer that gives everyone multiple chases at full health without any "lame" tactics so if they want to "skip" that one match against a fair killer so be it. Not my loss.
Totally agree!!!
-
Are you swf or solo?
But as others have stated in other threads, play more chill and your MMR should adjust and hopefully your games will be more chill.
-
I actually haven't run gen slow downs in awhile now. It removes all the stress, just playing for fun.
If survivors want a 3 minute game, no worries, next match.
And you Don't even lose a pip anymore!!
But, the ones that realize there is no tunneling, no camping, no gen slowdowns are fun matches.
-
Self care IMO as a solo q. At least noed means we got gens done and can get out.
Self carers means we probably won't get the gens done.
-
If you play less than sweaty, your matches will hopefully become so

If I win a couple on survivor, I seem to get default clothing 50 hr teammates the next game. Seems to be SBMM's way of making sure we lose 50% of our matches. It's a really irritating and contrived way to do it, if it's true. If the game is so unbalanced at the high end where great survivors rarely lose...make changes. Don't pair vets with complete noobs to look good on a spreadsheet like some middle management bot.
I totally agree. I think you get some good games, then you get punished to keep that 50% survival rate.

Really?
That's pretty stupid or is this a perk?
No, it is a game mechanic
-
Wiggle progress slowly regress when slugged.
-
God, don't tell me this. If I lose all that I had to grind for, I may have to take a long break.
-
Yes, please take a break. Your health is much more important than a game.
I really don't understand why so many people continue to play if it stresses them out or causes them anxiety/anger. Like a relationship IRL, with anything, People, work, drugs, alcohol, it it becomes toxic and a detriment to your health, please stop.
-
Why is SBMM a bad idea here? It would seem SBMM would have prevented this.
-
One of my favorite posts of all time!!!
-
I watch streamers for some tips and honestly I don't stay with the Big Names too often. I prefer the small streamers where you don't get lost in chat and can actually have a discussion. I mean, at this point I have 4 years in game, so I have formed my own opinions. Streamers are for fun
Although I will leave a stream if the streamer is "toxic" or a cheat.

You can see it in the threads on the forums talking about copy paste builds. People have mastered the art of abusing that new DS style perk Dead Hard. So many people run the same build over and over and if you don't bring a certain build to answer that you'll most likely get bullied
Well, I certainly can understand your point. And I am hopeful that the SBMM puts the sweats with the sweats and let's the chills play with the chills. At least , perhaps, without ranks people can remove their ego from the game a bit, and play more with the fun of both sides in mind and not care so much. And those that want to do 5 gens in 3 mins can verse those that want to tunnel and camp dudes right out of the game.
But, my main point, in my first post, was to address OP and why they should take a break and try something new if this game is causing them stress.
Thanks for the discussion!!

I have fun if i play like an a hole but, i want the ability to be able to do well while not having to always bring regression perks. You can't expand, and i have a lot of posts of people who agree that killer is ass and stressful
But, what is stressful is an individual thing. I have a lot of friends that would disagree that killer is more stressful than solo q. Of course some of them are god tier nurses. So I imagine the truth lies somewhere in the middle.
But, what causes people stress in this game. Losing? Getting only 2ks? Sweating? It is a game, you decide on how you want to approach it and what are your win definitions. If you want nothing but 4ks, all the time, then one is bound to be disappointed from time to time. But, what is making this game stressful is what people need to evaluate. I think too many people think this is a competitive game and feel somehow bad, if they lost.
Why? If I lose a game of ladderball or cribbage to my wife, I don't get angry. I don't get stressed that next time I might lose again. It's one game, the fun is in the game, not is some arbitrary number of kills or escapes.
IN the end, the simple fact is, if something bothers you, causes you stress, then why would you continue to do it? Especially if you truly believe that the game is unbalanced and stacked against you?

There's also a lot of people who played for a long time and are here to talk about perks and how killer side is complete ass and continues to be while survivor is party land. It just always feel like you're gonna mostly lose playing killer.
I don't think anyone that plays for along time, feels killer is complete ass. But, I am sure all opinions exist. Why, I do agree survivor is less stressful, I don't see a huge difference between solo q and killer. Now, feeling like you are always going to lose, I don't understand. Most killer friends I know, are actually quite nasty and destroy most games they play.
I myself, do quite well, and I play by self imposed rules, I imagine if I returned to my original cutthroat style, I would do even better.

I disagree with your solution, to just play a different game. And you made it sound like there's absolutely nothing to rage about in this game.
Fair enough. But, to rage, is an individual decision/reaction. I think to a certain part, age, maturity decrease one's tendency to rage. It also seems silly to continue to engage in an activity that causes one to be angry. A hobby/game should be fun. If it is not, then why continue to play it?

That's such an easy toxic statement to deflect the actual imbalances of the game
It is not toxic to recommend someone step away from something that is causing them stress and irritation.
And, not everyone of us believe that this game is so unbalanced. I always ask, rarely get an answer, do killers that get so stressed out, really lose more than they win? Because many of us have played a long time and do just fine.

It's a well known meme in this community. It's something that one of the developers said in response to someone saying that the killer role was too stressful.
https://youtu.be/03GUuXbtPe4
It basically boils down to, "Not having fun with our game? Too bad. We're not gonna fix it, so you might as well play a different game." That is never the right mindset.
Yes, I got the meme. I just didn't know if you meant it sarcastically towards my comment, or if you were making a point about the simplicity of my comment.

Just play Civilization, right Cote?
I Don't know if you are being sarcastic?
I don't know that game. But if one is getting stressed from a game, then I would recommend they give it a try over stressing themselves out.

We all know they dont. That's why I dodge obvious SWF in my team when I'm solo.
I was thinking 4 man swfs. But, yeah, I guess you are right.
-
As long as they stay in their SWFS, who cares?
But if they are bringing their boosted asses to solo q, then yes.
-
I don't even try to boop, I prefer to play the game.
And I am currently running cheetah pig Meg.
-
Sounds like someone is having fun.
Maybe play a different game if you're gonna rage playing this one.
-
I like to run, DS, kindred, bond and windows.
-
Yoga and Meditation for stress. And lifting weights is a great release of stressors.

Until they get good I guess

I thought for sure this was a Necro Post. How are we still complaining about DS in it's current state?
