When you can play all other killers proficiently, then you will understand how OP spirit is.
I can play her with basically no sound. But I never was a stridor spirit and mained her a long time.
But, if you are new, you may struggle. Try using grandfather's glasses and it won't matter if they have IW.
But, trust. When you can play trapper at red ranks on console and compete, well Spirit is a walk in the park.
-
I can't believe we don't have a vampire in DBD yet.
-
Dude this is a silly comment. DBD is their cash cow, trust they care how it is doing.
Perhaps they don't care so much about last gen consoles, and are looking towards the future, but the effort of SBM, new content, visual upgrades and , of course, paychecks make them care.
-
Idc, if you can kill me, now, you probably earned it.
Also, I play both sides, so I can always empathize with what my competitors are going through. Maybe they had a daily or devour, or just wanted to mori someone.
Don't take it personally, it's a game. If you can enjoy a 4 man escape, then allow another may enjoy a 4 mori game.
And DCING, over a mori, just seems petty, IMO.

Yes, so sad. Back to Selfish Q hell, with urban evaders just doing nothing.
Can't wait for it to come back.

Bro, Netflix is gigantic. It is not going to worry about losing its license with Bhvr.
-
Close the curtains, your bias is showing
-
Do you expect people not to counter the build and just give up?
-
How are you even at 6 hours to begin with?
And if your internet is the problem, others shouldn't have to deal with that either.
-
I own all the killers, but I don't have Steve or Nancy as survivors. So I am sure I will buy them, 2 more people to P3, ugh.

O . M . G.
Luv it!!!
Throw in some rollercoasters n sunsets and you’re weekend sums up my fav summer activities, perfectly☺️
Sometimes, it’s as though players lose focus of the truth that there are real people on the other end of the game.
...this topic (and especially your post!) is srsly such welcome freedom from all of that riff raff😌
Thank you!
So true, we often forget that other people are sharing this game with us.
-
Try it on console, at this point it is actually a detriment to your gameplay.
I am pretty sure it just lags and allows the killer to catch up to you now.

What a nice post!
My daughter was home from deployment in the Air Force, so we just celebrated.

That's the thing though - your so-called opinion is just some basic statement that's barely related to what's being argued in the topic. OP is saying: "Solo queue teammates, stop killing yourself immediatly after getting hooked becouse you don't see 3 people dropping everything they're doing to run for the save", you jump in stating "4v1 is easier for survivors to win than 3v1, so survivors should unhook other survivors that got hooked by a killer". Like, what the hell? And you keep arguing that as well, can you stop for a second and take a look from an observer perspective at the how ridiculous you're being right now?
First, it's not my so called opinion, it is my opinion. Clearly stated.
Secondly, I didn't jump in with that argument, I made a cheeky comment about avoiding op in a lobby and you all quoted me. So, you all pulled me in.
Lastly, my stance remains the same, I'd rather not play with someone who may gamble with my hook stages over an early gen.
-
So far..... yes.

I actually had a match with a Wraith on RPD earlier. Granted it's huge, but he just hid in basement all game, and stealth killers excel on that map.
Yeah, I just don't understand it. Like even if you lose, get some points.
-
I can agree with you. On both sides, afk killers are just as boring.
Like why ready up if you're not going to play?
-
As a console player, lag spikes are the norm now.
It is getting old

I also had an Oni use his power on me whilst I was injured and ignore two healthy people right next to him lol. Wasn’t surprised the game ended in him camping two of the others to death
Damn, that ######### always blows my mind. Like such a waste to use that power on an injured survivor.

Lucky for you, I’m getting baby wraith/spirits who camp all game and teammates who never save.
Damn, that sucks!!!

Not really necessary at all, I can tell I’m playing with bots and BHVR are covering their tracks as always. They never listen to the players, and waste all their resources on pointless nonsense.
I actually have a different experience. My solo games have gotten a lot better. I feel like almost all of my teammates have similar playstyles as I do, and actually pull their weight. My escape rate is up and I am having more fun in games, even if we lose, feels like we had a chance.
As killer, nothing really has changed. More decent teams perhaps, but overall, facing the same skilled survivors.

I think you're both missing the point completely. The OP is complaining about the fact that the Survivor's core objective (gens) is extremely boring by design. The Devs themselves knew how boring it is so they added little mini-games (skill checks) to distract from the unbearably boring 'gameplay' of sitting still for 80 seconds just staring at a progress bar. The Dev's priorities are mismatched. They should be incentivising chases with in-game mechanics but instead, the primary objective for Survivor is to sit on what is essentially a loading screen. The 'game' is a series of watching progress bars fill up, followed by the occasional chase where the game actually becomes fun. Or alternatively, some people enjoy hiding from the Killer and the tension of just barely getting away with it. Both are significantly more exciting then staring at a progress bar. Telling the OP to just 'play killer' does not actually solve the issue the OP is addressing.
Im sure we were being a bit facetious here. But, I think part of it being boring is also by design. Survivor is a team aspect of the game, and someone must also put in the boring work/grunt work if you will for the team to escape. Therefore each member of the team has to make a decision on when it is important for them to do some genny work, even if it bores the hell out of them. Or you are a detriment to your team.
-
NO, it is necessary to get people's true opinion on the feel of the match. If not, smurfs just take screenshots and say, "look MMR is a joke."
When they may actually be matched to a person of similar skill. They really need to make it impossible to derank past rank 12. If you made it to 12 you should not go down any further. You understand the basics of the game by then

Possible is an understatement. I agree with your opinion 100%, but its just not the point of this thread. Its ok to bring it up, but you started with: "Give me your name. I want to lobby dodge you." Wasnt that wrong?
No, because I would dodge a player that admittedly may risk me going to second stage. Same with Blendettes as teammates, I dodge them as well, because of the same reasoning.
Understatement is a perception, not a fact.
-
Yeah, play killer. I think survivor is not meant to be interactive the whole game. You are on a team of four and must take turns doing objectives to collectively escape. Take turns getting chased, hooks, saves, heals, totems, ...etc. This is why Selfish Q can be a nightmare, because so many have no desire to do the boring stuff , hence why a two minute chase results in one gen popping.

Its pretty obvious what OP meant.
"I won’t get off of my 80% completed gen" A hook stage is 60 seconds. So if the gen would be at 80% when you reach second stage, the gen would have been at 5% when the survivor got hooked. So OP would say always gens before unhooks and not write 80%.
"get you immediately" Thats pretty clear, right?
Just admit that you read it wrong. Sorry, if i sound rude, but this forum is full of people who only read the headline and take over the thread with a complete different discussion. And almost nobody admits it if they are in the wrong.
It's possible I read it wrong, but as I stated before, it doesn't change my opinion. A 4 v 1 is still better than a 3v1, and not worth the value of one gen completed in early game.

He also said "you want everyone else to stop what they’re doing to come and get you immediately" which implies they started killing themselves IMMEDIATELY after being hooked.
That is fair. Semantics seems to be what separates us here. I think we both agree that a fellow survivor should be saved before second stage in the early game. Right?
I think we are debating whether OP meant that in this particular post. In either way, my belief is the same. Save someone before second stage. You can always return to a genny. And if your teammate is killing themselves, it's better to save them and keep the 4 v 1 then to let them die and have a 3 v 1 with 4 gennys left.

You have time for them to complete the first gen before you go to second stage. Unless you literally went down 10 seconds into the match, not even the chase.
Yes, I understand the time of hook stages. Plus time to run and get them, hoping you don't get spotted by the killer on the way over, knowing the closer you get to second stage, the more likely the killer is to return to the hook expecting a rescue.
A second or two may be all it takes to put you into second stage. To finish the first gen? Not worth it. Now if you are close, and you know you will finish the gen for a fact and still make it, I can understand that. But once again, that alerts the killer to your location and let's them know you will probably be going for the save. Sometimes, IMO, survivors prioritize a gen , especially an early one, over friends, and everyone dies with 3 gennys left because things snowballed. We can always return to the genny.

He very obviously is talking about survivors who try to suicide on hook when they don't see anyone running over to them within the first 10 seconds of being tossed on the hook.
That is one interpretation. Other interpretations may be, IDC if you go to second, I am finishing this gen first. Clearly states they are not running across the map and that you can stay on hook until he finishes a gen, because you went down early. No thanks, I prefer teammates then understand the importance of saving someone before second stage in the early game.

He didnt mention second stage anywhere tho, it could have been a survivor who was only 5 seconds on hook
He mentioned going down in 10 seconds, survivor attempting to kill themselves on hook as they finished a genny. An early one. They state, "if you can't run the killer for a gen, be prepared to stay on hook until one is completed"
Pretty clear, this is a gens before friends, situation at the early game. No thanks, I'd rather be saved and have a chance to play too. Going down early can happen to anyone.

What did he say wrong tho? Unless the survivor is going to second stage, I dont see what the issue is with prioritizing a gen when ruin is still up, specially if it's already at 80%
I have no problem prioritizing a genny.
But, if someone goes down quickly, and you are allowing them to go to second stage to finish 1 genny, not value.
A second hook stage is much more valuable than finishing an early gen. Now the last gen is a different story.
-
Well to be fair, their individual skill ratings may have been lower, they could have got carried by their SWF.
-
I agree that he is a pretty balanced killer.
Fun and ez to play with the potential to win a lot of games.
-
Can I get your screen name so I can leave the lobby if we are ever matched together?
-
I have heard, in myths, of players actually leaving this game.
Godspeed!
-
Chasing an edible or two with some bourbon neat and a cold beer.
That is a pleasure.
Although it will probably change my SBM rating.
-
I wouldn't say they are not capable.
I would say this game is not designed for SBM.
As survivor so much of your "skill" is dependent on your teammates. Hard to build a solid skill rating when you have to play around others misplays.
As killer, it's similar. You are judged on your reaction to the skills of your competitors. Which will be like the tides in the oceans, up and down.

seems weird to nerf a perk that was only good on 1 killer only to buff a META survivor perk that was already on 2-4 survivors per game
Once again, I don't have the same evidence you do with the prevalence of IW.
I think they wanted to limit the efficacy of it on Spirit, and we know how Behaviour makes corrections.

Counter stealth.
Fair enough. But if you are a stealthy player, you probably run IW.
-
What was the point of it before? To buff spirit? That was the only killer I ever saw using it.
I think you exaggerated the use of iron will. I see maybe one per game.
Although it is a great perk.
-
My games have gotten pretty balanced honestly. Teammates are more consistent and killers are sweaty but neither side is getting destroyed on the regular.

Well adept challenges are supposed to be challenging. Just keep playing and you'll get them it's really not that hard. For Myers specifically just use the Tuft of Hair add-on. If you're rank 9 you still have a lot of room to grow as a killer and yeah it gets frustrating for a while.
ADepts are supposed to be challenging.
Laughs in survivor adepts
-
Rank 10 means you still have room to grow. You are not playing your best killer yet, you will improve.
Asking gen times to be 120 seconds is insane. Plenty of killers do just fine as is.
Most would agree that it is not gen times but map size that is the problem.

thats an outlier though and a different issue all together. Its another issue they should be addressing what they've been doing is just saying screw it and throwing their hands up
I'm saying, people love to show these types of pics during MMR testing.
So they eliminated the possibility of this during current testing
-
Fun is subjective. So , in a PVP 4 v1 with opposing objectives, chances are, someone is not having fun.
-
Well, to be fair. People love to post pictures of their smurf accounts during these tests and cry about how unfair the matchmaking is.
