Play how you want, but it sucks to be punished for playing the game. You try your best for a fun chase and to help your team, and you get this #########.
Then watch as the killer feeds their ego giving hatch to some teammates that did nothing all match.
I prefer to respect game as opposed to hate on it. If you're better than me, loop my ass, I'd rather you have hatch then those that popped 0 gennys during the long chase.
But, sure, let's hate the person that just tried their best.

I mean, it sounds like he likes a lot of sus killers but feels forced to one trick Spirit, to me. I doubt it has anything to do with a survivor's opinion so much as the bully beat down he is receiving.
Yeah, I totally agree.
-
Play spirit then!!!
When did killers start caring what survivors thought about their killer selection?

Are the zombies really considered that useful of a passive for nemesis?
I would rather he slowly gains infection throughout the trial to have at least a lv2 tentacle.
Well , useful is subjective, but they are indeed a passive power.
Just think how many times you are forced off a gen by some stupid zombie while Nemesis is across the map

"Why do I exist?" Mode = Solo Q.... With No Mither
😆 🤣
-
Well since Pinhead and Nemesis already have Passive ability , I'd say passive ability
-
Best build is hands down.....Kindred, Bond, Windows and DS!
-
Killer is about the same for me as it always was
-
Yes.....the Windows buff!!!!! Can't wait
-
I say free yourself from the yoke of exhaustion perk dependence!
-
Hard-core mode = Solo Q
-
It feels worse, because you see it. Survivors never saw you quick switch.
Personally, I've rarely done it, because I'd pick a killer I wanted to play and prepare to go to battle with them.

I don't but many killers, even at high MMR are using BBQ to track targets...
I was just being funny!
-
IF you are using BBQ for anything other than bloodpoints, you're doing it wrong!

True but you cant pip from 2k
I'm am not worried about pipping, myself. Freedom of playing over 4 years I guess. All my goals are met.
But, I understand those that still desire to.

i try to have fun, but i keep meeting tryhards with decisive, click clicking and teabagging and gets more frustrating.
I understand, I personally don't mind DS, I'm not a big tunneler so I rarely get hit with it, and if they have it, they can't do anything for a minute.
Tbagging and clicking are tactics used to unnerve you, try to see it as that and not take it too personally.
But you can always get some friends, SWF and enjoy the game on EZ mode.
-
But that is the thing, isn't it? You know from solo q that ######### survivors are out there, and maybe the majority. But, you get decent at killer and you run into the opposite.
I think some of the problem is, as killers, we were so conditioned and used to getting 4ks. Now , or because of this, we are matched with really good survivors that know how to play. But in fairness, the expectation of constant 4ks should probably not be a thing, if we are to indeed balance the game.
I just go for 2ks, play less sweaty, and have fun with it. I don't want to sweat in a video game. I'll save that for when I am working out
-
You just stated, that suvivors "have one objective, gen rush". Boon totems change this, now they have a second objective if they want to run Boon totems. Not to mention time spent to reset them, as well and an increase in healing verses just doing a gen, so they actually provide the killer more time as people will be finally spending time to "just do bones."
But, I agree with others, you will see them for a month and everyone will go back to their preferred builds.

Sorry for the slow response, I was an idiot and forgot to press post lol.
Well it's a hard thing to say, for one people get upset and two it's hard to consistently test it, however I have played on the US server (no idea what the servers called, NA I think?) From before dedicated was a thing and in the odd occasion with a American friend.
I would personally say NA is more chill than EU, obviously bad and good are on both servers I just found both survivors and killers more chill on NA. This could just be due to me playing peak time for NA but off peak for EU.
I'd also say that platforms are different, so playstation, xbox, pc in that order tend to be more try hard and toxic. But this is more difficult to say due to limited new gen PS meaning they will be hit with lag etc. And pc is up the top because they can have alot of advantages put on or just straight up things that arent possible on console.
Just my experience though doesn't mean it's a fact, but the way I see it, as in average
PC=very sweaty, very toxic
Xbox=some sweaty, quite toxic
Playstation=some sweaty, more chill
NA=chill more often
Thanks, I notice when I watch European Streamers, the games do seem to be a bit more intense. And I agree with the platforms, that is why I enjoy loading in to a lobby and seeing 3 PC players, I know I am probably getting good team mates.

I will probably get more chases than if I would commit to every chase I can -> longer game = more chases. I am just not going to always commit on down, but I usually go for hit, or some pallets at least.
I actually don't like killers that play like me, because I want to have chases as survivor, so I want them to commit on me to have some fun, but I know they are going to lose, if they do it. By your comment you are probably stealthy survivor, so we just have completely different approaches.
You can play however you want, but OP said he has issue with gens, so I gave him advice how to win more games.
I have coached lot of players for both sides and this is advice that usually helps most. It actually helps both sides to know about this.
I actually wish I was a stealthy survivor, but alas I am not. I enjoy chases on both sides, so that is what I engage in. I think you are right, on "wins", but that is subjective. If you want more kills, then less chases is probably for the best. I know when I first started, all I cared about was 4ks, but after years of those, IDC anymore. I play for my fun, which are chases.

You have to learn that some maps can't be played just running around hooking survivors.
So we have maps that you need to:
Azarov's Resting Place -> choose one half of the map + middle gen and never leave.
Sanctum of Wrath -> again, choose one half + middle gen.
Raccoon City Police Station -> some as above, one side + middle gen.
The Underground Complex -> don't bother defending top gen.
Dead Dawg Saloon -> again, it is usually better to let them finish top gen and setup 3-gen behind shack / hangman, where you can get huge deadzone.
Groaning Storehouse -> you have two gens in corners of the map, that are really far. So it is often better to ignore those too.
On most maps, you will have gens that are really close (your 3-gen) and you usually wanna defend that area a lot against good survivors. Then you have gens with big distance from other gens and those you usually want to let survivors repair. You can defend it with Ruin tho.
You have maps where you can get away with just chasing whoever you see, if you have good enough killer for it.
Yeah, but, if you're going to run away from chase then why play killer?
If you're not going chase, might as well play survivor. I'd personally rather engage and lose than just protect a part of the map.

Well if you want some more details I'll provide this.
EU, off peak time, likely high mmr (I'm very experienced as iv played at the top ranks since its release) Solo survivor, usually use DS,DH,WGLF, and whatever other perk I fancy, with a medkit (1/2 self heals)
I'm also a competitive player as in I'll always do my best, I just dont play in a toxic/selfish way. I know I could do swf and run more meta stuff but I believe survivor is easier, I'm usually happy to run whatever as long as DS is there to stop a tunnel lol.
Dunno if you cared for any of that info but it's there if you did :)
I appreciate any information, especially from a different region. Do you think EU servers are more competitive than US?

The games I play in... I dont tend to watch streamers as alot are fake or biased, and quite honestly with some of the content around it wouldn't surprise me if people lower their mmr of stream etc.
I'm just sharing my experience when I play survivor, then again I know I play at a high level so that could be why.
But many factors from time, region, map, killer and addons used can change alot of the outcome. Once again just my experience of killers not doing that great
Thanks!! Always curious where and what others see!
-
So many, but one memorable one was , playing Spirit with Discordance and Haunted grounds. Discordance procs right next to the genny, Haunted Pops, and I come out of Phase and drop all 4 survivors at the start of the game. So satisfying.

I'm with you. I started week after Slinger released and I have this exact experience. There's a game here or there that I get 2k or less but it's honestly pretty rare. In those games I did not play well along with having some bad RNG with the killer I was using. I can see right away why it wasn't a good game for me. I play for 12 hooks and will proxy camp if the occasion calls for it (You know what the situations are) and I have only been called a tunneler 3 times since MMR came out. All 3 times were exact same reason....Hooked, turned around, unhooked before I got very far, unhooker dipped out, down the only one I see (Unhooked).
Tunneling/Camping are necessary - Sure if your behind and really want to 4k but those who do it straight from the start SUCK and use gen speeds as an excuse. Yes I said it.
Survivor - Wraith OP, Trickster Op, Mike Op, Every killer runs Undying, Ruin, Tinkerer, BBQ. GTFO.
Thank you! Sometimes I feel I am the only one on here having decent games as killer.

@EntitySpawn said:
No idea, kills and escape will always be a garbage system. Only tim I see killers actually get multiple kills is due to a DC or because everyone is messing around end game.
Most killers I see are lucky to get 4-6hooks (excluding games with dc and people who give up at game start)
Where do you see these games? Because I see the opposite. Many streamers I have seen that main killer do quite well. As well as friends that play killer almost exclusively.
-
Yeah, this is really a balance issue as opposed to an offering issue. Maps shouldn't heavily favor one side over the other.
-
You can not be serious.
This is perfectly acceptable and often the only time you have to solve it without Pinhead teleporting right to you.

thats because for some reason people stopped running DS. seriously, even the stats of it showed how the people who used it still escaped the same amount of times.
I think it is still a great perk that does what it is supposed to do. Those that stopped using it where probably the ones that abused it.
-
I gotta disagree on the DS position. I think DS is pretty balanced now, and honestly the amount of times I see a killer get hit with DS and still tunnel the survivor down is immense.
Also, I rarely see a killer respect DS, if they intend on tunneling, that is what they will do. I also think it is a good strategy to eat the DS early as opposed to later when it will indeed cost you a kill, say at EGC.
-
I just don't believe killer is all that hard. Maybe because I've been doing it over four years now.
Perhaps because I play more chill then when I first started.
But reading the forums, you would think every killer on here is Otz level MMR versing oracle every game. I just have not had that experience. Sure some games gens are done in 4 minutes, but most games I at least 2k and usually more, and I'm not even running slowdown.
Still think selfish q is hardest mode in the game.
-
Honestly, as a survivor. Just end the game fast so I can move to the next game.
In this situation, ######### that DCer, but I don't want to farm now, just kill us quickly.
-
Free yourself from the prison of exhaustion perk use.
It is liberating to play without exhaustion perks and will make you a better player.
IMO.

Yes, I agree that base regression needs to be looked at. But as it is now, IMO, not worth kicking a gen.

Gen kicking is a base mechanic, it shouldn't be pointless without a gen-kick perk.
I didn't say it should, just that it is.

@GoshJosh said:

That’s a rather false blanket statement. There are simply times it’s ok to do this.
If BHVR would just make base generator damage 5% then do standard regression, killers would get a little more reward for stopping to perform the action. It would help offset gen tapping at least a bit.
It is a blanket statement. IMO, kicking gens at base regression is not worth it. Especially midchase
