I bought every chapter so far and want to support the devs, but this time I'll just buy the killer and survivor with shards. I'm just not happy with this killer and chapter in general to be honest. The Legion's power is just really boring and he is also weak.

SO the insane buff to BT stays, additionally they nerf doc.Im very dissapointed
TBH, this was sadly what I expected. The devs don't know how to make a good killer, they don't understand that wasting survivor's time by downing and hooking them is way better than having to mend. The Legion still can't down people fast enough to be a viable killer.
-
Personally, I'm not so sure about those changes. They don't seem to adress the biggest problem of the legion: Downing someone effectively and fast.
Those changes seem like bugfixes or minor QoL improvements (fatigue after weapon swipe for example or shorter vault, longer attack range) but nothing game changing.
You will still lose all your power bar when you hit a survivor normally, you will still have to hit survivors 4 times in frenzy to down them which will take ages... We'll see how the Legion performs but my guess is that he will still be a really bad killer.
The devs still don't seem to understand that this game is all about chases and that you put out way more pressure by downing survivors quickly and hooking them. Survivors only have to mend a bit against Legion. And switching targets as killer all the time won't really help you to win the game, especially with really bad chase potential which is crucial if you want to be a viable killer.
-
Agree. I was also shocked but not really surprised when I heard the devs say that.
In my opinion every killer should be on the same level in terms of killing and winning potential. That‘s called balance. It‘s just boring to see the same killers at rank 1. The devs should at least try to make every killer equally good and bring them to Huntress\Spirit\Billy level (not Nurse because she‘s OP still).
The devs clearly don‘t know how to play the game properly (they showed us how badly most of them play last dev stream) so they think DbD is just a fun little game to play with friends now and then. But that‘s not the case for most people playing DbD. Players want to fight equally good players and win. But as the devs said if you want to have a chance against coordinated survivors only the best killers will be able to so that frequently.
I also think the devs might be afraid to make killers good because they would get review bombed on steam again like what happened when Freddy was released.
I wish Pig, Leatherface, Freddy, Doctor, etc were viable against good survivors but only killers that can down survivors fast and counter loops (Billy, Nurse, Spirit and Huntress depending on the map) can really put out enough pressure to kill and win against swf or good survivors.
-
No it's not.
It takes a lot of time/shocks to get someone to tier 3. You drop and vault pallets as fast as always in tier 3. The shock is easily outplayable, it's really not a problem for good survivors. It can only somewhat shut down small loops or bad survivors.
Git gud please.

I might make myself unpopular by mentioning Identity V , but a 'multiple bodies'-killer is that game's first killer. That killer gets 2 dolls he can place down (or throw) , which will reveal the aura of every survivor these dolls can see. Additionally he can swap positions with his dolls. (There are seperate cooldowns per doll and he cant swap with dolls that are being disarmed).
Additionally he has a rage gauge with which he can make the dolls follow and attack survivors until he swaps positions again.I guess this would be pretty much how people imagined "the legion" to be.
Just swapping masks seems odd i guess.
That would be dope!

TBH it'd be over-complicated and underpowered.Almost like what we have now.
You think?
How about an ability like this: Tap M2 to change persona. You can only change personas in a specific order (frank -> susie -> julie -> joey). The new persona will last for ~5 seconds (more wtih addons).
Frank could be faster in a chase. Susie could inflict deep wounds. Julie could be very nice at tracking and finding survivors. Joey could be all about stealth attacks with a low terror radius.
So much ways of making this work.
I'm more concerned because you won't necessarily be able to choose what you need when you need it. It's cute on paper, but I'd imagine getting annoyed if I accidentally cycled past the power I wanted or if the power was the 4th in line when I am at the 1st.
It'd be one thing if it were like an MMO where you could bind multiple skills into different keys or buttons, but DBD doesn't appear to support that kind of format.
It would have a cooldown anyway. I really think it could work but it requires strategy.

Agree with you!I'm super hyped for a krampus or vampire killer
I really don't mind what type of killer it is as long as it has a good power. They do a good job with the aesthetics of killers allt he time so I'm not worried about that.
-
The trapper relies on survivors to make mistakes, that's why he is bad against good survivors.
Only with his auto-trap reset addon he can be good against good survivors.
-
- Uhm dbd devs do too? They have the next chapter and the one after that already in their works.
- You can buy characters with money or ididescent shards (except licenced characters ofc but Identity V doesn't have them so)
- They also can get looped much harder than in DbD. Survivors have actial abilities that make it even harder. The EU version has the "weak" hunters still, the asian version had them buffed because survivors were way too strong.
- yeah that makes DbD trash because there isn't enough lore? lmao
- So? It's a mobile game. I don't think anyone is of the opinion that DbD is too expensive or not worth the money. You can't compare a mobile game with a polished PC game...
- Yeah I agree with that
- We also have limited skins here and then.
-
You can counter it. If she hooks someone and you are on a gen, stay there for 1 sec and move away. She will go there, waste her power charges and can't find you. Happened to me a lot of times when facing the spirit.
You just have to understand what she will do next. Also tracking perks help fighting her.
-
The spirit has to be near you otherwise she wont have the range to travel to the gen, see where the survivor is with collision and grab you. So you will most likely hear her heartbeat or see her before so you can counterplay it. Also if someone else is being chased you are save as well. Gen tab if you are unsure also works.
-
I can outplay it easily.
If spirit hooks someone I stay on gen for 1 sec, then I walk away. She will find noone on the gen
Wasted a lot of time of her. -
It's a design decision they made back in the day they said and they will most likely not change it.
However, if you check out the official DbD wiki and click on a specific addon or item you see most of the numbers there. So you can always look it up there if you want specific numbers.
-
im glad you are not part of the balance team.
Clown 100%? his bottles are trash even with 115% speed.
-
How do you like the idea of having to find parts or gathering fuel around the map in order to start repairing a gen? Kinda like flowers but actual secondary objectives tied to the main objective?
It would be more fun than sitting on gens and ruin would be not as useful because survivors would have to scather around the map and find stuff anyway.
-
50% of her power, the ambush, is completely useless. Crouching makes her extremely slow and impaires her vision. In this fast paced game you can't crouch and find survivors. The ambush is also way too short and too slow to reliably hit survivors. They can spot the pig in advance as well to avoid it or sprint burst away to counter her even more.
The other 50% of her ability, traps, are super RNG dependant. It's supposed to make the game last longer but the time it takes to get someone downed with no ability to help in a chase evens it out. It seems like survivors get it off the first or second time so many times it's hilarious how bad the pig is actually.
I remember a dev saying she has the "best default kit of any killers" wow... Built in insidious makes her so OP right? Shows how little the devs understand about balancing killers. Well they play at rank 20 so what can we expect.
-
And the best part: I have 50+ offerings left and all vials completed on survivor and I can't harvest any more plants. I have to rely on my teammates to harvest so I get bloodpoints. If all 4 survivors have maxed out on vials (which a lot of people already have) the event is completely useless and just wasts your bloodpoints with useless addons.

Last events there was no farming. Survivors had to do gens and that's it. Now they just want serums and die. It's the devs fault if they implement such abuseable mechanics.Sorry - but I've seen more killers complain about there not being enough things for survivors to do, now there's even more things and people are still complaining, they literally can't win.
Survivors kill themselves on the hook daily, get your Serum, get out, or get your Serum and die. I don't see at that much of an issue, if it's really becoming a deal SWF with friends.
This is an event. It is not an attempt to slow down the game permanently. That's a completely different story.
Survivors just abuse the mechanics. They get the serum, hooked and die and repeat. That's boring and not fun for killers anyway because survivors have no will to live or survive after the serums. If you think this as a permanent addition would make the game better I don't know anymore.

Boring as [BAD WORD]. I don't know why the devs haven't thought about the farming aspect of this event.
You can't stop farming - this game is about survivors interacting with things and the killer may chose or chose not to kill you, there's nothing BHVR can do if people want to do this.

Absolute stupid rank 20 survivor main talking there. "Difficult to hit" are you kidding me? Because you have trouble hitting this easy skillcheck doesn't mean other people have trouble at all. I hit it 95% of the time. And even on Doc with unnerving it's mostly no problem.
Dribbling only works if you are CLOSE to a hook, if survivors bodyblock you hit it always.
Git gud, you don't need crutch perks like this. Why do you think everybody hates this perk so much? Because it's a cheap get out of jail card and ruins the pace of the game even more.
Just emberassing reading this post.
-
Just give us a nerfed version of it, it's been months!
It's a PTB for a reason so we can test it and give you feedback!
I think they won't ever balance it right, it's been too long.
-
She absolutely needs this or the green addon by default. She has literally no time to react and hit without those addons because the base "windstorm" after phase walk is basically non existant.
-
Counter to tunneling: Do gens
Counter to Camping: Do gens, get out, Use borrowed time, play togetherDon't need crutch perks like DS.
-
It's still not enough. Even very good spirit players get destroyed by SWF groups or just good survivors in general..
Iron will is also an extremely good counter to her which is kinda cheap because you counter her with a perk not with skill.
She still requires the most effort to get a normal m1 attack and still has to wait ages to refill her power.
-
A step in the right direction! But still not enough. You could get 15 seconds cooldown with addons before and it wasn't that noticible to be honest.
It should be 10 seconds or lower by default if you ask me (reworking addons ofc).
And fix the sound bugs of course.

Its so emberassing and shows how little you understand about the game if you show us 4k match results with spirit. It's not hard to get a 4k. You can get it with a perkless Freddy eventually. It doesn't say anything about the spirit's balance because survviors can just be bad. Your screenshots are not "proof" at all. Your spirit is level 36 as well, so you don't have much experience with her either.Sure, I 4k'ed a lot of times when she came out but now that survivors learn to counter her she is garbage. And I'd put her above Wraith and under Clown. So bottom mid tier. And, unlike you, I played her for 25 hours and P3'd her with all perks already with playing her exclusively at rank 1.
Now she is at lvl 50 xd
For me she's not really that badPlay her more and you'll see if you face good survivors.

If spirit got these changes I would have a new mainShe is so fun to play but right now she is such a bad killer. I really think the devs HAVE to take action because her concept is so fantastic and it would be a shame if nobody played her anymore because of her bad kit and high risk low reward gameplay.
Seriously, She has SO MUCH POTENTIAL, it'd be a shame to let her sink down to the low tiers.
Devs are just afraid to make new good killers because more and more new players come into the game and instead of learning to counter killers they want easy games as survivor. Which is the sad truth but I think they have to make the Spirit better, she requires the most skill out of all killers, she should be way better.
-

I just want to be able to disable the chase music in general.Personally it pulls me out of the game. On both Killer and Survivor.
Especially if you use No Mither, that injured music... Ugh...
It's a game mechanic. You should not be able to hear everything when in a chase for the sake of hiding during a chase. Survivors having no chase music? Would make things easier, nobody would have it turned on.
But I agree with the Spirit having no chase music in the phase walk.
-
No, because without IG or Agitation the killer would not be able to hook survivors in some situations which is a problem. It would also be unfun (like DS).

-
Awesome feedback!
I wish scratchmarks wouldn't be as delayed and that you could use her power quicker and even when it's not full.
I just want her base kit to be more powerfull and her addons nerfed becase she is so addon dependant.I highly disagree with giving her nurse speed. Survivors would literally outrun her. She would need crazy buffs to make up for it.
-
@Nickenzie said:
@Claudette_BaguetteI'm gonna suggest more buffs to the Spirit with reasoning and justification!

1.) Her Phase Walk movement speed needs to be faster than it is currently! Maybe a rough +25% additional movement speed to her Phase Walk?
Currently when you Phase Walk, you'll somewhat barely be able to catch up to a survivor after you attack the survivor. Now you can quick attack a survivor and then finish off with her power more reliably! This also gives the survivor less time to react to her presence and can get surprise attacks in before they knew what hit them!
2.) If you attack a survivor within the speed boost period that you get from leaving Phase Walk, your power will be refunded by 50%.
This killer doesn't really award skill when you are successful since you still have that 20 second CD. Now you will get rewarded for landing precise shots and can quickly recharge your power again to put more pressure on the survivor.
3.) The speed boost period that you get from leaving Phase Walk should be longer and the speed should be increased.
This will help the Spirit correct herself slightly if you are off. Additionally this can help mind games since you are now faster when you leave your Phase Walk giving less time to the survivor to make their choice on the mind game.
The duration of Phase Walk should remain untouched in my opinion after having a good 12 hours with her!

Completely agree with 1 and 3. Maybe 2 as well but I rather have a shorter cooldown in general and refund 25% of the charge.

She seems overpowered to me. I'm level 15 and have faced her 11 times. 6 of the games she killed all 4 survivors in the first two minutes. 4 of the games one or two survivors disconnected as soon as they learned they were facing the Spirit. In one game we got 3 generators done before she killed me the last survivor. She can find you if you are motionless and she is phase walking which I don't understand, I thought she could only see footprints. I was motionless and hidden on a second floor and she came straight to me.
I know the devs try to balance the killers abilities so the outcome is up for grabs, it just doesn't seem that balanced right now.
I imagine in a couple months her weaknesses will become apparent and facing here will be a bit more balanced.
She is great to play as because you are almost guaranteed to kill all 4 survivors, so from a killer's perspective she is aces.
Your comment is so wrong. You obviously don't know much about the game yet at rank 15 so don't jump into false conclusions. She CAN'T see you if you are motionless and she is facewalking. But she can obviously see you and phase walk towards you. Then you have to know if she saw you and you can counterplay it.
Just play the game and you will get better and counter her hard.
-
@Eninya said:
If she's going to be designed around her power, it needs a shorter cooldown, and some other changes to improve its application. Right now, she does give too much warning, and it also has absolutely no accuracy to dropping on survivors beyond a guess. Audio cues from running and moans, as well as visual cues from scratch marks, are virtually useless for pinpointing a survivor's location. I've dropped on people I could hear moaning right beside me, only to find them ~8 meters+ away from me (while using Stridor and headphones). Her power is not strong enough to justify the brutally long cooldown. However, if it had a much lower cooldown, you could justify the huge weaknesses. She runs slow, but a more frequent usage of her power--aka, more chances to correct "misses"--this would balance out her lack of innate accuracy tools and slower movement.
The alternative, is giving her regular movement speed and the ability to vault faster during her power, but this makes her a bit generic, and takes away from her identity.
Yeah I agree with you. Also, scratchmarks should be more noticible in the phase walk. Whenever I phasewalk and try to m1 a survivor at the end of the newest scratch marks, survivors are way further away. Scratch marks just take too long to be visible.
