  • I watched a video by The King today and he did point out that the devs like the hint at things very subtly. He said that Mathieu Cote at one point gave a hint about Silent Hill coming by saying the he had to "stay silent" about the chapter. Not to mention the 4 looked like Pyramid Head. I think by referring to the chapter as "stars" makes me think of what little I know about Resident Evil and the S.T.A.R.S. which was the same theory The King was talking about by leaksbydaylight. Although this is also under the assumption the chapter will be licensed and it very well might be.

I feel like even after the key rework, whatever they may be changing about them, like if they do add an animation time to unlocking and limit one person to escaping through it, or making it spawn differently, none of it will be enough for killers.

Idk I feel like killers are always going to be unhappy about the possibility of one survivor being able to escape with a key through a closed hatch. Like it's "robbed them of everything"

Like yeah maybe it robbed you of a 4k but that survivor probably wanted to survive and not be robbed themselves lol this can go both ways sigh

Bottom line, I'm hoping keys get reworked accordingly so they're more about use as aura reading tools and less about hatch escapes since that just bothers killers so much when even a single survivor gets a clutch escape as the last one alive with it.

Personally for me, being robbed of 1 kill feels better than being robbed of 2 or 3. I have no problems with keys existing it's just the fact that you can

    A. You can find a key in a match (although rarely the one you want it still occurs)

    B. You can take multiple people through the hatch

It feels like you're robbed a bunch more. I feel like there should be more of a risk to bringing a key. Sure there will be killers still complaining because both sides have those people who nonstop whine and complain about EVERYTHING wrong with the other side. I personally feel like when they introduced the hatch offerings they buffed keys and that upsets me. It felt unnecessary.

My Survivors always take Small Game, here are some problems I run in to with it:

    • You never know how many totems have been broken because unlike generators there is no tally as to how many are left to be completed. So you don't know weather its time to stop doing bones because you've done 4 and a team mate has done the 5th one so its almost always a guessing game or a matter of luck as to weather or not you complete them all or not.
    • And by then you've almost always wasted the entire match looking for the last set of bones when its already been done or just cant be found.
    • If you've 'done bones' its again almost always at the cost of everything else in the match because if you stop doing bones they don't get done before egc begins so by the time it comes to leave your team mates are either already dead because you couldn't spare the time to rescue / heal them or do gens and you end up with less bp at the end for it.
    • Its effectiveness vs bones is GREATLY diminished when your up against Freddy, Trapper or Hag because you get a LOT of false positives with bone locations wasting far more time than usual because you spend most of your time searching for bones that end up being a trap of some sort.

    SOLUTION:

    • Doing bones needs a MUCH greater reward. Say 5k bp per bone pile then everyone would be climbing over each other to get them.

I do not think 5k is a good number, but I do like the idea of awarding more. Currently you get like 1000 for a dull and 1500 for a hex. I say increase that to 2k a dull and 2.5k a hex. (That might still be much cuz that's 10k with no hexes on the map, you still get 5k if you get all totems with no hexes currently)

Small qol improvements like disabling last second item switching, displaying character icons in post-game tab, adding proper spectator camera for killers; also bug fixes, optimisation and so on.

Same and because of the icons of adepts we know they have icons so you can tell who everyone was playing. (If I understood that correctly) Along with improvements with disabling last second item switching, I feel they also need to lock the survivor when you ready up (same as killer). Also a rework to totem spawns and keys (but keys we know are happening).

allow me to start they take SOOOOOOOOO much skill to use why do KIllers complain so much have you seen the new moris there so OP now this game is SO killer sided

No stop it's to much lmao

  • I'm not a killer main but play both sides fairly equal. Matches like that I still try to kill them all to try and show that their harassment doesn't affect me even though I really want to scream, cry, and throw the controller at the tv.

They'd have to be really over the top with their harassment for me to want to cry though.

I had a match where I was playing Freddy (one of my first matches as him) and there was a 4 person swf (very obvious swf cuz of names) where they all had flashlights. I loaded into the match and found that only one had a flashlight so I was like "Oh no". The problem is this one person was very immerse so I never knew where they were and the only time they'd appear was to blind me through the corn and I was never able to pick anyone up because I'd just get a flashlight to the face. All 4 remembered to tbag at every moment and all 4 tbagged me in the exit gate. I even looked at their builds. All had the small pp build with purple flashlights with the pink bulb and sapphire lens. (which all were given to that one person). All of them got out, but none deserved it.

  • I'm surprised there aren't any survivor mains on here yet complaining about how keys are balanced and completely fine.

Except every case of "bullying" I've seen in dbd is the exact things I've listed, which aren't really bullying besides the end game chat thing.

I had a killer dc over deception yesterday and then proceed to start typing N-bombs in chat, I don't think that was bullying but I certainly reported it and moved on and didn't make a huge thing about it on dead by daylight bc if the actions of the person were to be deemed bullying they'd be removed from the game after a report is looked at.

but instead people come to the forums and say they've been bullied when it usually means they've had a game where either the survivor or the killer was better than them, or they got DSd one too many times.

In my experience, there are ways all of those can be considered bullying, however not every flashlight save and not every t-bag and not every perk used is bullying.

Totem spawns are a huge problem. Let me explain myself, as someone who mostly mains survivors and is ALWAYS doing as many totems as possible.

Around 6/7 months ago, I got so tired of NOED that I decided I would be doing all totems by my own if that was necessary. I usually play SWF so many times I can count on my friends to do some bones, but when I play solo Q I mostly have to rely on myself only. So, back then, I started learning totem spawns. Every totem spawn in every map. I carries Detective's Hunch around, sometimes also a map, solely for this purpose. I watched some videos about totem spawns in specific realms to memorize them. Overall, it's a huge task and I am still learning (yes, even after all these months) but I have generally grasped where most totems spawn in each map.

Having all this knowledge, I can say quite a few things about totem spawns. Because some of them are so good, and some of them so bad, that it's ######### crazy. I believe that the pinnacle of totem spawn balance lies on Grave of Glenvale. Totems do not spawn out in the open, but you will be able to find them as long as you're looking for them and you're not in too much of a hurry (say, there's a teammate on the hook and NOED is up). There's very few "bad" totem spawns in this map, say the one in the windmill, the one in shack and the one in the main building (which can be tricky because there actually a lot of totem spawn spots in that saloon, lol).

There's two particular maps that have insane totem spawns, at least in my opinion. Part of this is due to the fact that I easily get lost in those maps, and I probably end up checking the same places multiple times without realizing. These are Hawkins and Lery's. Very few weak totem spawns (gates for both maps, Demogorgon thingy and upper floor for Hawkins are the only ones I can think of rn), and many strong ones that are hard to spot per se, and even more if you take into account that everything looks similar in that map and it's hard to pinpoint which places you have already checked and which ones you have not.

The following strongest maps (not as strong as Hawkins and Lery's, imo, but still strong) are Silent Hill and The Game. Again, maps in which it's easy to get lost as a survivor, but that have many spots in which it's easy to see the totem without even looking for it, and also some memorable spots like the bathroom ones in both maps, the door ones in The Game, the 3rd floor one in Silent Hill to give some examples. Some other totem spawns in these maps are really well hidden though. And Silent Hill has an extra problem, which is that it requires you to check every area twice, because you need to check inside the classrooms and on the hallways, and in order to do this you usually need to go back lol.

Every other map in the game, except for perhaps the Swamp (a map that makes many non-totem-connoisseurs (?) struggle because of the edge of the map spawns and stuff) has very weak totem spawns. Coldwind, MacMillan, Azarov and Crotus Prenn are great examples of these. Easy to randomly see, a lot of memorable spots, so many identical tiles that have the same exact totem spawn, etc. I rarely struggle to find any totems in these maps.

Why am I saying all of this? Because maps and killers can drastically change how big of a task it is to actually find and do totems without throwing the whole game away. It's not the same finding all five totems in Lery's than in Shelter Woods. It's not the same to find all five totems against a addon-less Wraith than against a rank 1 Spirit with good addons. The game is about economy of time. You need to do your objective faster than your enemy can do theirs. Rank 1 Spirit players, from my experience, are extremely good at their objective. Add-onless Wraith players, usually not so much. Please don't "but oh my god survivors are so OP they can loop even a good Spirit player" because my point here is that some killers have it easier to do their objective fast than others. Not that you cannot win against the Spirit, lol.

All of this being said, I feel there are three totem perks that are the hot topic in these forums. The first one is NOED. I don't think NOED is OP as ######### as some others believe, but I believe it's a little bullshit. Because having to do five whole ass totems to MAYBE counter a perk the killer might not even have, feels a little bullshit to me. Don't get me wrong: most times, I will try to do those totems. I stopped being one of those "lazy" survivors you talked about who refuse to do more than one bone long ago. But you must take into consideration that doing five bones (yes! only five) can be A LOT sometimes. In maps where totem spawns are hellish, like Lery's, it can be VERY tough to find them all and at the same time be doing gens. You usually have to sacrifice a LOT of time to do this. And like I said, this game is about time management. The faster you do your thing, the better chances you have of winning. Now if you're on SWF it /is/ easier to find all totems and get rid of them. But this game isn't only SWF. Solo Q survivors exist and, well, like you said, survivors /are/ lazy many times. And I can't torture randoms on comms with my constant "do bones or I swear to ######### god" the way I do with my SWF team.

Then on other maps (Coldwind and MacMillan being the best examples, imo) doing all five totems is easy and you can actually manage to get rid of them ridiculously fast. I remember one particular game in Coldwind where I got rid of all totems within like 3 minutes of the game being started, lol. This is generally not the rule, of course, but my point is that overall (depending on the killer you're paired up against, of course) you can usually afford to do all bones in these maps if you're trying really hard to avoid NOED.

Now, the other two hex perks that people have been talking about a lot are, of course, the Ruin + Undying combo. Now there's a lot to say about this combo, because it can be somewhat useful to OP as ######### depending on many things. First: the aura reading grants some killers enough time to actually get to the totem and shoo the survivor away before they can cleanse it, for example Spirit, Freddy, Billy, Blight and Nurse can easily play off a play like this. You will think "well, but then survivors can distract these killers so that, meanwhile, their teammate can do the bones!!" and while this is entirely true, this requires survivors to be in some sort of comms most times. SWF is what I mean. That's the second factor when it comes to R+UD in my opinion: survs on comms can easily communicate to each other when it's entirely safe to do the bones. They can also entirely counter this combo by communicating and finding not only one but BOTH totems before cleansing any of them, then cleansing both simultaneously. Then, the killer won't be able to be in both places at the same time, and you'll make sure that you get rid of UD so you'll have to do only one extra totem max aside of those two. Easy, right? As long as you're on comms. And as long as, again, you're not in one of those hellish maps where totem spawns are so good that you usually spend too much time looking for totems, and when you finally find them it doesn't really matter anymore. That's the obvious third factor: maps. R+UD is a complicated combo to analyze in my opinion because it relies too much on RNG + these three factors I've mentioned above. It can be literally useless against good, communicated SWF with totem spawn knowledge. It's deadly if survivors can't manage to find the totems, despite actively looking for them (not being lazy!). It's also very RNG reliant because of the random map thingy, the particular totem spawns it will spawn in, and the particular place in the map that survivors will spawn at (because survivors often spawn next to lit totems, and that should definitely not be happening for ######### sake).

Why did I write this long ass comment that probably no one will read? Well, first because I love totems and any chance to talk about them I WILL take, lol. Secondly, because I wanted to bring actual insight into the matter, analyze it from all possible perspectives that I can think of, because I feel that very often the analysis that people make when it comes to this particular aspect of the game is superficial to say the least. And third, to bring my totem-cleanser, mostly-survivor-main perspective onto the table, because I feel that as someone who can definitely NOT be considered lazy when it comes to totems, I have a lot to say lol.

There is really no conclusion to this post. I just wanted to explain why both sides mainstream opinions are partly right and partly wrong when it comes to totems and hex perks. If you have read this whole bible, I hope you have some amazing DBD matches tonight and thank you for keeping up with me until now. Lol.

You're the kind of survivor who I definitely think should have a voice about the matter because you aren't being lazy. You're trying. I agree with what you have to say about the amount of RNG when it comes to totems. If you get stuck on an inside map, I do believe unless you're bringing Detective's Hunch you're probably going to miss 1 or 2 or maybe all totems. When playing killer I think it's more impressive if they're all broken (which I only notices as Nurse or Plague who I bring NOED on) on the inside maps. I think many of the maps need reworked totem spots. The inside maps/Swamp maps need easier spots because many of the spots are really difficult to spawn (except for a few that maybe need a little buff like the ones by the doors on The Game). I do not expect if I'm in a lobby of all solo q survivors for them all to broken. Also, I feel like if you're facing a rank 1 Spirit like in your example, it's also fair to say they aren't bringing NOED so it would be more worth your time to be doing the generators than totems like in your example. If you're facing a Wraith with no good add-ons or just no add-ons, maybe spare a minute or 2 to go totem hunting isn't a bad idea because it could be a real possibility of NOED.

As far as Ruin + Undying, I feel like the problem is more Undying. If you get stuck on a map with good rng for totems, that combo can be much harder to face than others. You also have a point that unless you're in a comms/swf group you probably can't depend on someone to go to that totem unless someone else stumbles upon it or you were running/walking/crouching with someone when you stumbled upon it. I feel like Undying is probably hard to balance to make the combo weaker because of all the rng involved and the other factors (such as amount of totems broken). Totem spots on all maps need to be reworked honestly. That's correct.

The fact that most maps are really easy to find totems on and then like 6 of them you can maybe find 1 to save your life is kind of hard to deal with. Especially when faced with NOED or Ruin + Undying. I almost feel like before messing with anymore hex perks they need to take a look at totem spawn points first.

I think the biggest reason people dislike NOED is because a lot of times, it rewards poor killer play. I rarely see really good killers run NOED because they don't need it, but you can always tell when a killer will have NOED by how they play, and it's usually bad.

With this in mind, a change they could do for NOED is a token system like Devour, for example. 1 hook does nothing,2 hooks will give you speed boost. 3 hooks will give you the full speed boost benefit (or even more since it is a tier system here), and then 4+ hooks will give you the exposed effect.

It awards you playing better and not just giving free value no matter how crappy you played.

Regardless, NOED has never bothered me, so I don't really care. Lmao I don't really think any perks are too powerful on either side, outside of thinking Undying is a bit too bloated.

Since you don't care I feel like I can have a conversation about this. Personally, I feel like killers only bring it if they are new to the killer and feel like they might need that buffer or they're just newer to killer in general. I feel like it's design was made so that people can play killers they're newer at and still feel like they have some form of a chance. There is one change I think should be made to it for sure though. If you just happen to have a good round NOED will still activate if you close the hatch, I think it should be more like Rancor where all 5 generators have to be done.

I personally only use it on Nurse and Plague. Those are the only 2 killers I find myself struggling with so I use NOED to help myself a bit. I don't use it because I'm trying to be awful, I'm using it because I feel like it could help me get a kill. Personally I can understand the reason survivors hate NOED. I hate it to when playing survivor and it does feel cheap. It's why I mostly try to avoid using it, except for those 2 killers I mentioned.

if you only play 2-3 games a day then i am not shocked you haven't reached r1.

survivor q takes ages and if you play solo depends heavily on your team mates or the killer if you pip or not. If the gens get done in 2 minutes and you didn't get a chance to be chased or save gg your pip.

Killer is just a stressful slog. you will pip easily until red ranks where the requirements become more demanding and you run into 4 man swf often.

Honestly that's true and for killer along with more swf that means you run into way more toxicity.

I suppose so, but it would still be nice to say I made it to rank 1.

I'm a Rank 1 killer and Rank 2 survivor and I can say, for the amount of pain you have to put up with in order to get there it's not worth it.

  • I've seen better grey rank players than some red ranks. Rank really means nothing.

  • I can't even tell if this is a killer/survivor/neither main talking. It's just so bad for both sides.

  • I'm not a killer main, but I do play it just about as much maybe a little more than survivor. I have a list (short but it exists)

    1. It's okay for survivors to bully the [BAD WORD] out of killers
    2. matchmaking
    3. totem spots
    4. survivor perks not being reworked in the same style as killers (which has been said)

That's it. I honestly feel like the killers are much nicer both on the forums and in game than the survivors. Although they're are some real [Bad word] on both sides and some real angels on both sides, it definitely feel like there's more toxicity on the survivor side than killer side. (Which is kind of ironic seeing how the killers are the "villains" of the game)

Part of me wants to say there's no lore attachment to the used to be Christmas events, but I have no clue. I only know about the halloween lore. I feel like the christmas/winter solstice event was just because we should celebrate the holiday season but there could be lore behind it.

It really is awful that you have no interest in any sort of proper discussion. Not that I came in here expecting you to, your post clearly spoke for itself. You would rather trade petty insults and pretend that everything is your opponents fault.

So, I was a killer main up until December 2019, since then I have been playing both sides much more evenly. There's a reason totems are called a side objective. However, if you do not know all the killers perks you do need to be wary of NOED being a possibility. You don't need to be spending the entire match looking for totems, it's a waste of time and will make finding and breaking totems feel much more difficult than it is. Although, if you are not being chased and looking for a gen and come across a totem, make it the priority over the gen (ESPECIALLY if as the 4 survivors you're looking good). At that point, you'll realize totems are very easy. (NOTE: I play both sides every day so every day I see both sides of every argument within my matches. As survivor I go up against Ruin/Undying and lemme tell ya I've probably only seen 5 matches since that combo became a thing that the combo actually was useful and wasn't destroyed before the game was even halfway up and gens were still popping even though we were looking for totems)

and according to the meta thought process, time spent on anything other than a generator is a waste.

It's like all the min/maxers in all of gaming history want to "balance" dbd for the purpose of min/maxing every single match.

DBD is unique, but again people want to treat this game like any other tdm game.

I get that DBD is unique, but that doesn't mean you can just say "I'm not going to do a side objective" than {bad word} and moan about how something being powerful and saying it needs to nerf. Especially when by doing the side objective you counter it. That makes no sense. "Hm. I don't feel like doing the side objective. OMG THE KILLER HAS SOMETHING POWERFUL THAT WAS COUNTERABLE BY DOING THE SIDE OBJECTIVE! NERF NEEDED! GET RID OF IT! But I'm still not going to do the side objective."

    ...no.

I'm not saying you specifically do this, but that's the argument at hand.

  • It sucks to be the person on hook in that situation, but if you want to keep the killer from getting to much pressure and easily 4k'ing that's pretty much the only way to punish the killer atm.

  • It's fair to hate something, but if someone is saying "Nerf this/Get rid of this" because that's their playing style and refuse to try and counter it, that's where the problem lies. I personally hate it when NOED activates, but I start the match thinking that the killer has every perk so if I see a totem, I break it.

yea that one should be changed, no totem in the corn field

Totems in the corn field feel harder to find than the ones not in the corn. It's really annoying. If they have to keep them in the corn, don't make it like in between stalks of corn, make it between the rows because those are easier to find.

  • I don't consider myself a killer main anymore, but I do still play more killer (even though it's like slightly more). I find the combo annoying, same with NOED, but what isn't acceptable is this idea survivor mains have that they shouldn't have to do totems or something like that. NOED has a glaring weakness, that's doing your side objective. Survivors overlook that to say "NOED IS NOT HEALTHY GET RID OF IT! NERF IT!"

Part of the risk when using hex perks, I got a really dirty spot on lerys where the glow of the totem was hidden because it was facing a wall in an isolated corridor.

There's also the RNG of which hex the survivors will find first ( they always find undying first, without fail in ny matches )

Even the times it doesn't break first, generally what happens is your Ruin breaks and reappears somewhere else and then the next totem broken is Undying. I feel like only about 1-5% of the time (from the killers side) do you actually go through MULTIPLE totems before Undying is broken.

  • But then what survivors do is complain about how HARD it is to find totems when 99% of the time as killer you see where your totem is and it's like "No that won't break in the first 20 seconds" in the most sarcastic voice possible. I agree that there are some really good totem spots, but they seem rare.

Also, with Ruin/Undying, it feels like Undying breaks first a good 75% of the time.

  • Being a console player (more specifically Switch), between Plague's power being inconsistent and aiming being harder, it can be tough to play as her more so than other platforms. That's why I run NOED on Plague.

  • I couldn't say for events like Christmas, but around Halloween there's actually something happening to the Entity which causes the Visceral Cankers and Pustula Flowers to appear..

  • There's also the added fact that the first picture shows you had all the perks you had unlocked all already on Quentin. Which means that's almost a minimum amount in order to get DS Tier 3.

  • @Blueberry said:

People don't hate NOED because they think it doesn't have counter play. Everyone knows it has lots of counter play.

The reason it's disliked is because it rewards the killer with kills he didn't earn. He gets them because the survivors were lazy, not because he earned them.

People aren't saying NOED is unbalanced. It's just unhealthy design.

I personally only run NOED on Plague and Nurse. I think it's obvious why, but yeah it isn't the best game design.

  • Is it just me or is Legion one of the few killers where they aren't weak, but play style can have a huge impact on whether or not you're able to do well at them?

  • Yes let's nerf the weakest killer in the game.

It takes blood, sweat, and tears to even get a kill as Twins. Honestly survivors have a larger window to kick than they think because dedicated servers suck. Oblivious does absolutely nothing if you use your ears/eyes and Victors pounce cooldown is long enough as it is.

  • @AnnoyedAtTheGame said:

The key needs nerfing to only allow the user who has the key to escape only.

But this will never happen as they have a trophy in the game where 4 people need to escape the hatch at once.

Her entire arsenal is good only in brown and maybe green ranked lobbies. Once you hit purple or red lobbies she's useless unlesss and not worth playing.

I was a Pig main for a long time and I got to Rank 1 using almost strictly Pig. I'd say that is not true about when she's a bad killer. Her main problem is the rng rarely goes the way the Pig player wants it/Pig's for some reason like to go back after the person with the trap.

I mostly agree with your list. I'd put Freddy into makes me want to uninstall. Freddy is a chore to face for me. I'd put Pig into the usually an unfun round as most Pigs I get proxy camp and tunnel the person with a trap on their head.

As someone who mained Pig for a very long time prior to going between the two sides, I can say it DRIVES ME INSANE to see Pigs doing that. That is NOT how you should be playing Pig. I don't even understand how Pig's 4k like that. (YUZ PRESSURIN THE WRONG SURVIVORS DOIN THAT)

a macro is a program that automatically clicks buttons.

for example if you have a wiggle macro your character will automatically wiggle when on the shoulder even if you don’t click any buttons.

a macro hag makes it so when someone triggers a trap you automatically instant teleport and hit. it’s not them teleporting fast it’s just a program that does it automatically. you can tell if a hag has this when you trigger a trap and they hit you before you even realise you triggered the trap.

By what you said that would not be cheating that would be hacking. Which is bannable. (I guess if you're hacking you're cheating)

Killer: Shape,Hag most the others are lvl 50 and I am debating who I wanna pep..Mainly cause Shape's mask looks sexy with the single red line

Surviors: Ace and John..Working on Smith right now.

    Who's John? lmao

  • The fact that you could buy any individual character for less than the cosmetics should be enough to say they're to expensive. Especially when cosmetics cost the same as half the game. (Many of them)

I see, i must say that just seems like a silly reason to get mad over.

Guess they must be really disappointed everytime we get an original killer instead of a licensed one then.

I saw people so mad it wasn't Candyman they called Silent Hill a filler chapter. A LICENSED CHAPTER. Yes people they totally just decided to put in an iconic license for their fourth year as just a filler. TOTALLY. That's EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED.

I literally not believe so many people P3 everyone. That must be 1000s of hours to do! I just today, hours ago i finally got everyone to level 50. That type of dedicated to this game, man the devs need to know how lucky they are. I contemplated if i wanted to gp down that path. I ended up sinking 250k BP into cheryl to just try and get all the perks.

Right now its Ghostface, Myers, and Cheryl. Idk who im doing next, maybe Freddy just for the claw or Ash because Ashley J. ######### Williams. I would do Pyramid head but i ######### HATE how all their cosmetics are locked

It's definitely something that shows the amount of time people put into the game. Especially people who have multiple prestige 3 characters.

How exactly does one consider any chapters in general to just be filler? That just seems ridiculous.

To justify why they buyers didn't get what they wanted and so they can throw insults at the devs/the product.

    It's been explained before.

Her puke basically has a hit box sphere like shape every like foot of the stream or so. The result is that survivors can literally pass right through the stream if they happen to luckily pass through it right between those nodes.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/3D3CLUE5Y21P/image.png

    It's like that.

If not add more than make the hitboxes longer. It's kinda of stupid that they're small enough that survivors can just walk through it without getting infected. Like what is the point of having the power if you can't use it in an effective way? It's even more horrendous on console for obvious reasons.

This issue with Plague has been going on for what, 1-2 years now? Hard to fully remember but it's basically ever since dedicated servers came out as the issues are generally ping related. Seeing as it's been that long I've lost faith in it getting fixed ever.

Even if it did get fixed Plague is still an underwhelming killer that has a lot of design issues. The main reason people don't play her is because the survivors control your power and that's just not fun, strong, or good design.

I have no clue, I didn't get the game till it released on switch because it was the only platform I owned that it would work on that also had it. I noticed that problem starting the first match I ever played as her and to this day it still happens. Which is sad because I think the idea of a diseased killer is kinda cool.

It would make sense to push back if the license holder wants it though, the DbD inclusion will be good marketing and it wouldn’t make sense to release the chapter 1 year in advance to the movie. Also the lore part could have something from the movies that they don’t wanna get revealed too soon.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1845767#Comment_1845767

As far as I understand it, Torbert doesn’t have anything to with the Scream franchise, so he shouldn’t hint at that. And for all we know, the blighted GF cosmetic was what he has hinted at.

i would love to see Scream in DbD though

Ok fair. I'm just saying the theories that dbd made the decision not the license holders. If the license holders want it than it's a possibility that that's true. Although the fact that some people won't accept the fact that Chapters 16/17/18 are not Candyman is kinda of absurd. Yes I've heard that all 3 of those chapters are "filler" and "the real next chapter will be Chapter (whatever the next one is on the list)"

That’s why I said my post was only talking about solo q. Did you bother reading it?

I did I just specifically agreed with the swf part.

Think we’re going to see Candyman next year (Candyman releases theatrically August 27, 2021, and there have already been numerous hints toward a possible chapter... even subtlety from Tony Todd ‘Candyman’ himself) but I definitely don’t feel like they’re going to bring RE or Nemesis into the game. It’s doubtful that Capcom will want to allow that crossover.

That’s jus imo, whatever DBD2021 brings,

    I’m excited for🥳

The only part of a possible Candyman chapter that I disagree with is that people have been saying it's been "pushed back," I don't personally see the devs pushing back a chapter JUST because a movie is releasing later. It doesn't really make sense. Personally I can't see how he'd work in the game, but he would be very cool to see.

these sarcastic posts mocking survivors are honestly not funny. many survivors, me included, would like a fair and fun challenge, not a complete domination with ruin undying every game and OP addons. also it's true that some killers are just plain uncounterable: spirit, deathslinger, nurse, and people still defend them.

I think the point is that survivors complain about things that don't need changes. Also (I'm not saying you specifically do this but survivors in general), if survivors are allowed to keep Decisive and Unbreakable without changes then killers can have their Ruin/Undying/Surveillance. You can't say one side is allowed to have power combos and say the other is not allowed to.

PS: I play both sides and agree that both those combos that I listed need nerfs, I won't accept it if one goes unchecked.

Ugh! Ptds flashbacks to a match in lery's (me a noob nurse) with a Feng leading me around the entire map and losing miserabily with only 2 hits*

That's me every time I go back to her lmao

Adjust surv emblem system to favor Bold and lessen altruism. So many matches get thrown because survivors dive bomb hooks for easy points/pips. This imbalance also shows itself with how pathetic most of the survivor population is at running killers.

simply adjusting it so that altruism isn’t the go to point farmer will help cull a lot of the boosted survivors in red ranks.

(this entire comment is from the solo q POV, swf is an entirely different animal)

There's too many imbalances with swf to even go there when it comes to ranking. That's mostly because comms exist, but there's nothing the devs can really do about comms.

1 … 44 45 46 47 48 … 51
