I’ve had a horrible experience as well that changed my whole mood about farming. I brought streamers in to farm, 3 SWF let a random die on hook when there was one gen remaining, then took hatch with a key. I didn’t even get to hook any of them :( So rude. I’m very picky on who I farm with now after that.
Damn, the worst part is how they f'd their teammate, not just you

You think Devs listen to feedback, but I'll just remind you of how many people said "reworked" Legion was bad on the PTB, and the Devs didn't listen.
The same happened with nurse, where people voiced how the nurse isn't fun to play as and hurts her with that cooldown, but they ignored it and went with the patch.
Most times the Devs have shown they don't listen to feedback.
Ok, I'll have to show lack of actual knowledge, I hope devs reveal some stats about why they change things cause I believe that most of what we see are complains, but until then, I'll just have to state we don't know if they do listen or not, cause even though people might say something, stats might show the exact opposite thing

I have found a Nurse that could control blinks and had MYC
I was scared to unhook survivors
Xbox btw
Yep, XBOX here too, was it a Red Dress Nurse, cause she owns in rank 1... I think there's a Red Dress Nurse in rank 1 PS4 too with the same kill rate actually
-
I'm gonna guess the ones who chose Spirit or Hillbilly are console players who haven't reached red ranks against the God Tier Nurses.
For PC the Nurse and for XBOX and PS4 the God Tier Nurses (you don't get to see them much, but when you do there's nothing you can do...)

Your rank is not rounded to the nearest rank. Your pip match result just counts twice in the result screen.
Dumb bug. In game since ages, but noone cares...
Yep, this, it doesn't round up, sometimes others can see one rank above the one you actually have, it's just a bug no one cares about
-
Not who is the killer cause they'd change perks and items depending on it and THIS IS A HORROR GAME FFS, playing as a survivor I wouldn't like knowing who I'm going to play against, it's part of the fun you know?
BUT, if you're talking about the username/gamertag of the player, I'd say yes, I'd like to know if I'm going against a facecamper (I wouldn't dodge lobbies, it's just to know if I'm going against a toxic gamer, regardless of which killer he picks)
-
@OmegaXII said:
And devs listen to these people which keep complaining how op some killers are
So devs balance the game according their feedback and eventually nerf all killers into ground..
Devs listen to all feedback and actually check statistics on the game, but I get your point, these kind of people are annoying AH

I'm sorry about everyone else in my solo team but I'M CLEANSING, I'm a great looper and I can handle the corrupt purge, don't get me wrong, I'll help the team, as I've stated in other posts, I'm the "hero" type of player, but as there are people who can't handle the corrupt purge I'm one of those who can't stand not being able to be stealthy cause my character screams and pukes like a little B

A DC counts as a kill, but not as a sacrifice, when we get the challenge to "sacrifice all players in the basement in a single game" that's when we're gonna have trouble because of the DCers...

When I was rank 1, I used to show a small grace of mercy to survivors whenever they had someone disconnect. I'd do just enough to pip and then take it easy. If two disconnected then I'd often just take a black pip. What I'm trying to say is that I don't do that anymore. I never asked them to assist me in farming for anything, but I've still gotten insults from survivors after taking it easy on them. I just ignore them and move on, but you get it.
THAT'S THE PROBLEM RIGHT THERE! I don't wanna change my methods, but this kind of behaviour make me wanna change my conduct like you did.

You’ve seen it everywhere. “Let’s stop DC’s with ______ idea.” Discussion follows for a few posts, but things very quickly devolve into:
“Survivors DC more!” “Killers DC plenty and ruin 4 peoples’ games.” “This punishes people with bad connections!” “You’re salty!” “You’re toxic!” “Git Gud!” “It’s The Spirit’s fault!”
On and on and on. The original idea sinks into oblivion...
So I propose we filter out such comments and only focus on constructive suggestions/discussion. The end goal is to present a workable idea to the devs for consideration.
Here’s how it goes: Read through the following list of questions. If you answer “Yes” to a question, move on to the next. When you hit question that you answer “No” on, you are invited to navigate away and post your thoughts on other DC discussion threads. If you answer “Yes” to every question, welcome! Please post your ideas and provide non-emotional, constructive criticism to other peoples’ ideas.
- Do you believe that DCs are a problem that needs to be addressed?
- Do you believe that the VAST majority of DCs are intentional, as opposed to resulting from bugs or poor connections?
- Do you believe that a solution can be viable even if it is not 100% effective because some people might dodge it? (Consider the “something is better than nothing” mentality.)
- Do you believe that, through civil discussion, we can hammer out an effective solution here on the forum?
If you made it this point, congrats! Your input is welcome!
- Do you believe that DCs are a problem that needs to be addressed? YES, ASAP
- Do you believe that the VAST majority of DCs are intentional, as opposed to resulting from bugs or poor connections? YES, They DC as soon as they see who the killer is, as soon as you land a hit, hook them, Mori them, should I continue? I'm pretty shure the guy downed the first minute into the game didn't DC cause of "disconnection" issues...
- Do you believe that a solution can be viable even if it is not 100% effective because some people might dodge it? (Consider the “something is better than nothing” mentality.) Yes, as long as the Devs have the proper tracking methods and hire people to follow this cases in order to erradicate them, maybe a warning before ban could help a lot.
- Do you believe that, through civil discussion, we can hammer out an effective solution here on the forum? No, people will DC until something gets done about it...

As a solo survivor main i think im a nice person.
If my team decides to genrush i just do totems and chests and stuff. If the killer hasn't even injured anyone until only two gens are left i make like two locker jumps and wait for him. If he doesn't care to show up ill go look. And in any case if hes afk and i find him, I'll just be afk with him until hes back.
I looked for a freddy (before the update) and signalled him to kill me after he burnt a pudding and had to be afk the whole game (irl reasons we messaged afterwards).
So what im trying to say, there are nice people out there which know this is a game and the killer is a person too, so dont lose all hope. We got you <3
I'm used to nice people when I'm killer actually, but this is my first time ever I got bamboozled, lol. I guess that's what got into my nerves.

I mean everyone in this game can be toxic. I had a game during an event where a killer didnt get a single hook. Gates were open (before EGC was a thing). I felt bad for the killer and decided I'd give him a few event hooks. Got him to follow me and stood under an event hook and pointed at it. He downed and hooked me but wouldnt let anyone near to unhook. I'm not salty I died. Kinda expected I would have. But he robbed himself of so many event hooks this way... My friends laughed and told me that what I get for trying to be nice to the killer....
Damn that was dumb of him

Actually, incorrect
DC's count as kills towards that challenge
Nope, they did not, it's not the "kill 4 people in a single match no matter in which way", it's the "sacrifice 5 survivors to the entity" one. And sir, they did not count for the challenge and that's what got me mad... The DCs count as kills, not as sacrifices

we're all just gamers trying to enjoy our freetime on a game we enjoy.
you aren't a killer, you aren't a survivor. you're just a gamer staying indoors and playing videogames. (just like me)
there's no harm in showing mercy to a team you clearly outmatch, just remember that there are trash people playing this game.
toxic killers and toxic survivors both exist and they are all just toxic players, the toxic wraith that camped you and spammed his "bing-bong" is likely the same toxic Nea that teabagged everytime she dropped a pallet...
show mercy to those you can and slug/camp/tunnel/BM the toxic little twats you find if you have the opportunity.
tldr;
people suck, don't take it too personally.
Yep, maybe it was my first time and that's what got to my bones.

Smack the wall. Usually that'll tell them to stop wiggling. But some survivors dont get ir.
They just don't get it, I think smacking a gen works better.
-
No it's not, if you didn't go away when I returned fr the saviour you're going down too, if you ran straight to me when being unhooked you're going down, if you are dumb enough to "hide" whyle moaning cause you're injured, you're going down, if you body blocked me when I was chasing someone else, YOU ARE GOING DOWN.
This examples does not apply to the tunneling concept.
Tunneling is when you ignore everything else and decide to choose the same victim for chases, hooks, hits, slugging, etc.
-
@Volfawott said:
This is why I usually don't show mercy.
if I do for example wanting to give hatch I'll typically down a survivor tell them not to wiggle and that secondly try to wiggle they're going on a hook
How do you tell them not to wiggle? I'm asking cause a friend of mine moves his head saying no as a "you're not gonna live" threat

If I'd need a kill in that circumstances I wouldnt ask whom to kill - I will just kill one, second could get hatch or gates, it is not their choice who will die, but mine. And since I dont farm in game, I'd just proceed to kill them at once.
I have to admit I was afraid that if I went on and just killed them they would've DCed like the other 2 from their SWF, I thought I might as well farm some BP and secure the kill... I guess I was wrong...

That logic doesn't add up, tbh. Less relaxed = more toxic, which is the opposite to what you suggest.
In reality both killers and survivors are just as bad; it's the DBD community as a whole. In fact, online gaming communities in general, at that!
At least I'm glad to say I'm not part of that kind of people, that's all I'm getting from this

Moris should change the gameplay or playstyle of a killer. Not just kill after unhook. I like the suggestions, that would be the right direction. The same should be done with keys. Escape with every survivor is plain stupid without a possibility to do anything against it. It should be harder to accomplished and should get rewarded more. Maybe like high risk, high reward. Maybe even need some preparations first before you have the possibility to make your risky move that gives you the highest rewards.
Any ideas? It sounds interesting

Can't change one OP thing without the other side getting mad at something that isn't all that OP lol
For the record, I like your #2 change a lot. Way more fair for the survivors.
The most funny part is that I'm a killer main trying to help survivors against tunneling and who doesn't feel keys are OP. But most important, if moris get nerfed to the ground I'm gonna be really pissed off, they are amazing animations

What if keys took like 6 seconds to open the hatch? Enough time for a Killer chasing the survivor to not get screwed over, but also to let the Survivor escape if they found the hatch fair and square while immersed.
I adore how a discussion about Ebony Memento Mori turned into a "Keys too" argument, LMAO
-
@Auron471 said:

Yes thanks.
Just some suggestions. I mean it would make me very happy, if keys can't spawn in chests anymore too. Keys and Moris are just way too powerful in my eyes.
The chests thing I'd support, if keys give a free escape they shoud not be easy to get

...and when the killer closed the hatch once it never can be opened again in this trial. Also a hatch closing doesn't trigger EGC anymore, if gens are left.
Ahm... Ok... Would you like a soda with your order sir? LOL (I adored the amount of things you asked for, hehe)
The hatch already spawns where more gens were fixed than survivors are alive... So... I don't know...

This is not a post about balance. I survive against Spirit, too, but I dont have fun.
Ok, then I guess I'm one of the few players who actually have fun against and as spirit
-
Freddy main (killer) and Nea + Steve mains (survivors). Red ranks in both roles, xbox, I play 6/10 games as killer
When I'm spirit I do get to play against good survivors (I DO NOT dodge lobbies) in purple and red ranks and get from 2 - 4 kills per game.
When I'm a survivor and go against a red rank spirit (unless it's the school girl skin with glowing head who is a god tier gamer on Xbox) I survive 1/2 games.
For me, in purple and red ranks, spirit is fine. The only thing I'd change is Prayer Beads, that addon is actually pretty buffed (not OP)
-
@Peanits said:
I would imagine that it would play out a little differently with a larger sample size. As a killer, if I see someone sit still I know they're recovering, so I'd generally be a little more cautious if I slugged them (probably keeping an eye on them, anticipating unbreakable or a save). If someone crawls immediately, I take that as "They're not recovering, I can wander away a little without them being picked up the second I turn my back."
I'd be curious to see how it goes, though!
I will continue to do this good sir, I am not looking to do this every game, I just play normally, but when I get tunneled I'm taking out my notebook for notes
