They copy pasta'd Myers' ritual on him. It might be possible that in early stages of development Nemesis could tier down, but that was later changed. Then, the ritual remained as an oversight.

Of course. I'd be a damn sexy Hillbilly. On the other hand, me posing as Kate...

Is it just me, or playing as survivor is simply easy enough to not need to think properly, as long as you know how to press space in the right time and loop correctly?
That requires thinking and it's not easy.

For the health and fun of the game, it needs to be addressed. You can hold w and waste 48 seconds of a killers time without even dropping a pallet or vaulting a window. Factor in picking up the survivor, finding a hook, hooking them, and you just lost 3 gens.
This kind of gameplay is boring for both sides. Survivors should buy time for generators by winning loops and mindgames against the killer. This is more fun for both sides.
That figure is always misleading though. Maps have boundaries, survivors can't simply run that long in a straight line opposite to the killer's direction of approach without running into the edges of the map.
48 seconds of uninterrupted running is like going from one end to the other of any large map like Azarov's. And even then the chase would have to start from one end of the map and there would be no approaching angle for the killer to be 32m away from the survivor at the beginning of the chase without also being able to cut them off if they try to path for the longest straight line available.

Body blocking is not reportable. What is reportable is "taking the game hostage" which is defined as "the action you are taking makes it impossible for the game to end"
If you body block a single survivor, the other ones can still do the gens and leave, so you aren't "taking the game hostage"
Prolonged bodyblocking a single survivor preventing them to take part to gameplay is reportable. It's been confirmed by the devs.
The post you quoted and replied to is correct in all parts.

The three survivor play styles are looping, predrop and shift w, and stealth. There are complaints about all of these. The best thing you can do is learn all three and use the best one depending on the killer you get. If you struggle with one more than the others, bring perks to help.
There are killers to counter all of these. If you are a killer player and struggle against a particular style, bring perks to help or play a killer that does better against that style.
This^ person has the power of conciseness on their side. Follow the advice in that^ post.
And if you're a survivor and struggle against killers countering your main style, then learn when to use the other two.

Dcs rn are awful.
I'll never understand dcs, why waste your own time like that? Get some damn points.
Tbf against Twins you'll end up slugged most of the time and below 10k pts. So, it's not necessarily time or point efficient comparatively.
-
Anything with Infectious. The rest is up to your strengths and weaknesses.
If you want something well rounded and not slug heavy: BBQ, Pop, Discordance and Agitation. Adjust as you see fit. It's a mix of info and slowdown/time saving that rewards you for getting downs.
-
It's camping and it's a logical move given the circumstances. They're not mutually exclusive.
-
In general, it's more valuable to use Victor to pressure the map than to camp the hook.
However, if you park him exactly under the hook behind where the hooked survivor will be, they might be unable to crush him preemptively. Which is a big deal.
Lastly, Charlotte is perfect for basement, because you can leave her on the stairs landing next to the hook. That ######### hasn't been fixed in forever, because pretty good job so far.
-
Sound like they should change the perk name to behindmonition then.

Tinkerer was changed. Without Tinkerer, it's not insta-saw anymore and without the charge time reduction, he'll never be used again because any type of loop or window makes revving his chainsaw an easy escape against him. He's the only killer who gets harshly punished for using his power at a loop.
Even Leatherface can move in all directions with an insta-down and still break pallets with it. Billy moves in a straight line with a slight turn. Bubba is superior to Billy in every way except for distance. Billy even has a CD now. He doesn't need a 2.5 second rev time.
That's og insta saw with og Tinkerer. But after the perk rework, instaw saw conventionally meant tuning guide + mix or sometimes primer bulb. And it could easily be used at loops. You couldn't escape that rev time. It was just that most insta sawers just back revved after sawing the pallet and then sprinting while zoning. It was a foolproof strategy due to better charge AND cooldown times. Unless survivors got a really stacked map and slammed gens like crazies.
-
Detective's for totem hunting.
Counterforce to counter Thrill of the Hunt specifically.
-
This is something that can't be addressed in isolation and it's part of fundamental design issues. DbD is a composite game. There's a plethora of killer powers and they interact differently with different survivor defenses. Holding W aka making distance is natural against killers who can't be looped. Survivors can't play against one killer exactly as they would against another, barring slamming gens. If you take away the ability to make distance, then you're indirectly buffing anti loop killers to S tier. If you nerf looping, then you're buffing high-mobility. It's all connected.
The point is that each killer must play to their strength and around their weaknesses. When we talk about making distance, essentially every killer has a way to counter or alleviate it via playstyle. Trapper will not chase outside his territory. Wraith can use cloack speed to catch up. Bubba has an insta down and palletbreaker. Stealth killers can play hit and run. Clown can... ok let's ignore Clown. Etc. You get the idea. Of course, even at the end of this process, not all killer will have equal power. But that goes with the territory. It's impossible to make a killer who tbags and stalks you become a peer of one who. can teleport through walls. Unless overboard and break the game in one way or the other.
Ultimately, it will also come down rng and sometimes a killer or the survivors are already doomed the moment they spwan into a map iteration.
P.S. I also find it quite funny for this community to be able to whine constantly about cocky survivors not being 'scared' by the killer and staying in their face, while also complaining about those who do run away from them. But I wouldn't expect anything less.

Actually I don't really mind camping bubba, but its the bubba with double chilli add ons and bamboozle that makes him my top 3 least favorite killers to verse
So, basically the remainder of Bubbas i.e. those who don't camp.
To the OP, I can understand the appeal of Bubba. He's strong and really simple. He's the killer I go back to when I want bp but I don't feel like turning on my brain.

Lots of RE fans want to play Nemesis.

I got a farming Freddy at the first attempt.
The level before this one, where you had to hide 90 seconds, I made a Wraith quit and go afk in a corner, after cleansing his Devour in his face and slamming a pallet on his dome as he was uncloacking to stop me. First at attempt as well.
So, to summarize, be very lucky. Or, go to Gideon and be useless by following the killer around.

I can confirm. Same timezone.

Can confirm. Played a match as Trapper on Dead Dawg and caught a Leon in a window trap twice without resetting it manually.
The challenge doesn't state that YOU have to reset it, so it should definitely work.
Tnx a lot. I'm thinking of doing this with Iri and Remember Me as a back up a plan to trap the gate switches.

Catch 2 survivors in a single bear trap without picking it up. It doesn't need to be the same survivor, just the same trap.
This means you either go to the trap that was activated and reset it manually, or use Iri Stone to make the trap reset on it's own.
Can you confirm it works with iri stone? I wouldn't be surprised if it did, but the wording seems to imply it shouldn't.

Billy main here. He's not undetectable through his basekit.
There's a bug that makes his chainsaw silent after starting a sprint.
There were also a few reports of bugs on TR on various killers recently.
So, it's possible it was a rare occurence of two bugs happening at once.

I'm probably going to forget somebody, but in no particular order off the top of my head: Xeno, Card, Shix, Knightlight, FallenArt, Volga, Disco, Wizzle, Hunter uwu, Ultra, Alf, the killers on Unbroken whose names escape me, a lot more. There are a lot of insanely talented killers on the scene.
I know some of them. I'll check the others. Thanks.

Who are your top comp kiĺler list?

Like i said, i dont have anyone to play with. :P
If you have access to Discord, then try DbD official server. There's a section for SWFs.
Or, post in the Looking for Players section of this forum.
You need way too much luck to pull it off in solo. If you insist, then try to message the other survivors in the lobby, take a key, a hatch offering and pray. There's really no hidden secret for this one.
-
Oh trust me, go against 4 SB gamers and you'll miss your DH days dearly.
-
Well, the match went as favorably as it could for them. Large map, ruin cleansed early, spreaded hook stages. Still, only two got out. Your reasoning could still be reversed to point out how strong Nurse is, because if only they didn't luck out on one of those things, they would've been doomed.
And you played well. So did they by pushing gens against a killer that bypasses survivor defenses.
A weaker killer on that map? Sure, probably a bad defeat. On better maps? A more balanced match maybe. On those maps against your Nurse? Easy 4k.
Edit: grammar.

The same team that beat tru3 yesterday said, that Spirit has counterplay. You can also tell when she is phasing, but not many people know that. I agree that killer might have the advantage in the first few hours of learning this game. Once you achieved the skill of looping somewhat well this shifts drastically in the favor of survivors. So while you are right with the balance shifting based on skill, the skill floor needed to favor survivors is so low, that i just cannot let this pass as an argument to not use top % as a benchmark. Only when both sides play close to optimal you can see how this game is balanced when it comes to both sides having equal skill. The introdcution of MMR makes this discussion even more necessary.
If you're talking about the animation reset on Spirit, that's inconsistent.
If a reset happens, she's indeed phasing.
HOWEVER (big however), she can phase without a reset happening.
-
I wonder if only the Tonic doesn't work, while the Antidote does. That would be ######### hilarious. Clown would effectively have a power that could only benefit survivors.
-
If matchmaking worked, as survivor I would want the old version and it's not even close, Undying or not. You could just power through that one. It only mattered when you got people who couldn't hit skill checks (so, basically every trial sigh). That's why I mentioned matchmaking.
As killer, new Ruin is probably a lot stronger on fast killers, especially because it pairs up so well with Tinkerer.
-
It's legal. Frowned upon? I mean, it's annoying, just like 385703 other things in this game.
I'd say if you do it strategically when it's advantageous, it's whatever and frowning upon doesn't matter. On the other hand, if you just pick the unhooked survivor and follow them around from the start stalking them, then you're not really playing to your benefit. You're simply trying to be annoying. Which again is still legal.
As a final note, I could actually see a gray area in the rules whenever the trap is not active and gens are not completed. If you just try to harass the trapped survivor by preventing them to remove the hat, but not doing anything to progress the game (aka kill survivors by any means), it could possibly (keyword possibly) be seen as taking the game hostage. This would have to go one for congruous amount of time, though.
And yes, the game could be taken hostage even for a single survivor, like bodyblocking one for several minutes before egc, which has been confirmed to be a reportable hostage situation. Just saying, before we beat a dead horse when someone pops up reminding us of the obvious thaty the other survivors could simply complete the gens, which is effectively not relevant for the offense.

I think the point was to prove that wraith is viable at top level which isn't true.
Granted I watched only the game in the video of the OP. I don't disagree with the statement that Wraith isn't viable against the best teams in the world.
However, what I notice is that there's a disconnect between the purpose of the test and the actual test conditions. If we want to determine what happens when both parties bring their A game, then you need to actually show up with your A game. This wasn't a test to see if Wraith is viable against the best survivors who are tryharding. This example was a test to see if Wraith is viable against the best survivors when using subpar add-ons for killers, employing a strategy (hit'n'running with Nurse's) which is known to be a soloQ stomper and that falls apart otherwise, while reading chat on top of that.
Again, I don't expect the result would've been much different with better test conditions, but those weren't it.
Also, I understand killers having different degrees of strength. It's literally impossible to make the entire roster exactly the same level of power. Just like it's impossible to make every survivor team the same strength, even if stuff like comms and mmr were added. They might help, but the problem remains.
-
I've played 16 games of nemesis. I think only one it took me more than 15 seconds to find a survivor, or their scratch marks or disturbed crows.
If you know spawn points and tracking, then it's a wasted slot.
It's good as a beginner's perk, or for some niche use, like trying to speedrun a 4-man slug. You're better off using Discordance otherwise. If survivors spawn together on a gen, you get them. If they spawn separate, you'll find one fast anyway. And you have the perk the whole match.
As for eruption/pop, I don't see any value on low mobility killers. Too much time spent kicking. You're basically damaging gens and spending 30 sec catching up to running survivors.
I can see use on fast killers when one doesn't want to depend on hex rng. I reckon it could be meta on Shadow Dance Wraith.
