I know quite a few players who want to quit because of the stretched res black bars.
Well yeah cause no one wants to play their game in cinematic mode 24/7 which arguably looks worse than 1440 stretched.
-
The amount of people who think "this person is only good just because of stretched" is honestly quite incredible
-
I have more of the problem of.... bhvr not fixing it correctly to where it still puts your hud as if you were on native so your entire power can be blocked out so the people who use it for FPS dont get that information.
-
I would love if they made clowns speed bottles a separate value and not combined as 1 magazine. Especially when they announced the rework of "reloading reloads ALL bottles at once" implying you would have 8 bottles in total, 4 slowdown and 4 speed.
-
Im just gonna say she's mid with the current state of how dbd is played. Same problem with pig, all you can do is hold W on loops and eat the pallet but has actually good 1v4 potential. Overall great mobility with the TV's but is recommended (by me personally) to have at least 1 chase perk.
-
Only way I can describe her is.. Good in theory but since the game is the way it is, it will be the same hold w and win since her entire power is just 1v4 with no chase power.
-
Quite unfortunate but I'd rather have the dc penalty so games can at least be played.
-
I wouldn't say there's any true "anti tunnel perks". I see more the point of bt and ds to waste more time. If it was true anti tunnel the killer wouldnt be able to get anywhere near you.
-
Queue times won't be fixed as long as mmr is a thing. No one wants to go against constant meta as killer if they win 2 matches in a row.
-
@BoriskyTheFox said:
There is a difference. Looping isnt toxic because survivors have to keep the killer busy in order to win. But tunneling IS toxic because killers dont have to tunnel necessarily to win. They can still win by playing fair.
Nothing in the game is inherently toxic. They could be toxic where either side starts ######### talking in post game chat or messaging you on xbox or playstation. As for the "killer don't need to tunnel to win" same could be said for survivors. You don't really need to loop to win if you can just hold W against more than half the roster and pre drop every pallet.
Either way what's considered as a "win" as survivor is purely if YOU escaped or not. Not if 3 or 4 people on your team did, just you managing to escape and 3 other teammates that distracted the killer died while you sat on a gen the entire time having no interaction with the killer.
-
Me... a couple days ago because I WAS the twins player.
-
Basically what peanits said but they still fail to realize it's still removing 2/3's of the grind which is better for now cause imagine in the future while they still don't have a way to reduce the grind. Imagine having 50 killers and like 50 survivors that you have to get tier 1, 2, and 3 instead of just getting tier 3 perks. Yeah no one is gonna "have fun" getting those perks.
-
You can sway your camera the opposite direction when boil over sways you to have it carry you.

Wait so 5 seconds before that clip was posted, every Blight main on this forum was repeating "the dev that designed Blight says it's intended". But when he says its actually not intended, suddenly his opinion doesn't matter and the devs should ignore him.
If you look closely, you can see the goal posts moving off in the distance.
- I wasn't with the group that said that
- It's still in a grey area if BHVR still thinks hug tech in intended or not since the person who made most of the changes on him considered it not intended but then left a couple months later. It can very much be that the person who works on blight is fine with hug tech
- I'm sure Mclean wanted to keep adren vial how it was to be this true pinball playstyle but someone at BHVR wanted to change the addon as of low usage/kill rates with it. So whether or not Mclean wanted to keep adren vial that way he has no power anymore to do so since his opinion there objectively doesn't matter anymore.

So BHVR reworks, what, 2 killers a year? And at least half of them end up being net nerfs. So by chapter 50 or so, maybe we'll have 5 killers at the same power level as the top 2. Good luck with that plan.
Much easier to say "hmm this window is a guaranteed 30 seconds of holding W for 80% of the killers. Let's put some boards over that or a breakable wall."
We've already had the multiple Spirit nerfs recently. If they were intent on buffing killers to current top survivor power, those wouldn't have happened.
"Hug Tech" was confirmed as a bug. Patching that out would be a good start. A better move would be fixing his stupidly oversized hitbox so you can actually stand a chance of juking it. And then knock down some of the broken add ons like, well, half of them.
Idk. Sure it was called a bug by mclean long ago but you cant speak for bhvr now as they can think what they want since they dont have the lead designer of the killer there to say what is a bug or not. Also I think long term fixes are way better that "oh this killer is overperforming lets do an entire rework/nerf to their addons" when what makes blight and nurse good is being able to read their opponents for nurse and looking for what to bounce off of as blight.
-
id rather them fix sound occlusion first than add a map thats constantly storming.
-
Thats 85% because of bhvrs bad servers. The other 15% is from her hitboxes. Less of a huntress problem and more of a server problem.

BHVR should hire you.
Even as a joke I'd rather prefer not to speak my opinion on the devs. Well not the devs, rather the people managing the game.

The killer main empathy. Damn.
Clean stun. No bs hits anymore. Hits through pallets were killer sided for some reason for 5,5 years.
And now fair became "survivor sided." Get used to it.
I mean even on the survivors screen the swing animation was nearly done and you can get hits at the start of the animation. That should have 100% hit. Also the new system is supposed to work in favor of the person with better ping but no matter how many times I swing before they drop the pallet and I get the scream, they never get injured despite having better connection to the server.
-
I think my favorite thing is a few months ago. I was playing twins on hawkins before it was removed and i physically saw myself get VACUUMED into the pallet to get stunned.
-
@BoriskyTheFox said:
Its fine. Killers cant get unfair hits anymore.
If anything, its one of the best things they have ever added.
Bro literally on their screen the michaels weapon was at the end of the swing animation and they didn't get hit. I wouldn't count that as an unfair hit.

How are the devs supposed to balance the core game mechanics (gens, maps, spawns, camping, etc.) when the killer roster has outliers that are far stronger than average? Nurse and Blight need to be brought down in line with the rest of the killers or the game will never be improved in terms of balance. Expecting the devs to make changes to the other 24 killers rather than the 2 that overperform is delusional.
It's better to balance killers around maps than the other way around. Like if they truly want to get at least close to balancing this game they need to fix all of what you said before touching certain killers. Toning down nurse and blight is just a band-aid fix that leads to survivors to still overperform vs all the other killers.
-
Well I did notice that the first month of it constantly put my against sweats. I came back a week ago to get the event cosmetics on the same killer and got more of a mixed bag. So either people got their mmr boosted by good teammates or mmr got broken, and this was with no backfill. I would usually load in at the same times the survivors would in the pre-game lobby.
-
Nurse totally. Lowest kill rate = buffs needed. Also nerf pig again.
-
Literally the only good value you'll get is chainsaw speed, lopro and overheat addons. Unless you wanna meme billy with silent saw or double turning.

If 99% of Survivors don't miss skill checks, then that's an issue with skill checks. This is a QoL fix. You should at least have the opportunity to hit the skill check while running. That doesn't mean you automatically get to hit it.
Hmm yes nothing like my skill on repairing getting getting checked as I leave the broken generator and start running away :)
-
It's literally fine. Literally let go of the gen before the hook, doesnt matter if you fail a skill check. Even so you should let go of the gen the moment you lose the aura of the downed person.
-
Its been stale for the last 2 years since the billy nerf.
-
It's called knowing when to greed against a bubba or not. You can see multiple good survivors know when to greed the pallet or not and not just mindlessly insta throw. Also nothing in this game is inherently toxic. It only becomes toxic like something in post game where someone throws insults.

Oh you're misunderstanding, I am talking simply about how the mechanics function, not the animations that follow. Basically, Overheat is cumulative and takes a bit to cool down, while Tantrum does have a slightly faster speed while revving, it does cool down faster. It's simply swapping the mechanics that trigger the animations, not the animations themselves.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2788013#Comment_2788013
Well, the "thing" that it did, was people being able to Insidious camp while revving the gen constantly with silent addons, and the new Billy Addon allowed that to also keep happening. Then there also was a situation where maps were being reworked, and since Billy was the king of eating pallets, he was the one killer that needed a slight leash so that pallet counts across all maps could be lowered a bit. It's basically not affecting Billy's gameplay much, it just prevents the very niche situation and balancing issues that Billy caused. He's far from perfect as they could have done better, 100%, but even though it sucks, its healthier to keep a killer slightly underpowered and fix him up later, than to keep him slightly overpowered and fix him up later.
Literally all he needed was not to be able to stack charge time addons. It doesnt matter if you could infinitely rev with no chainsaw sound. You can still face camp just as effectively.
-
Console issue. Either way lets fix dead harding over traps.

no, but a purple add-on shouldn't massively boost an already powerful killer, not to the extent alch ring does anyways.
Tbh alch ring only really gets value from people who actually play blight. I've played against and saw countless blights that use alch ring and didnt know what to do in power. They kept on bumping on every corner, they didnt take their time in slam to see where they're going to rush next and blindly using power.

Coal tower is a balanced map at least by dbd standards. Saloon is probably the best killer map in the game
Anyone who plays on coal tower knows it's not balanced. Same issue with cowshed, loops just keep chaining into each other. Sure it might be one of the smallest maps but the gen spread is still enough to matter.
-
Well it has already been "fixed" once and still occurred. Lets hope this time its legit.

Disturbed ward is fair but the rest of these have breakable walls that make them pretty average vaults
Ehhh grim pantry window is literally a window you can't really beat until entity block if ran right by the survivor. Rancid window can still be ran until entity block despite the breakable wall being there, Cowshed window still can get you to the tractor loop, coal tower is coal tower, oh yeah forgot saloon window.

Or, survivors would stop greeding pallets and play safer.
That's not the point. By not artificially adding at least 30 second per chase that's how survival rates will drop.

Freddy's lunge is the only one that can hit people from another map that's how bad it is
High ping. Also that his models smaller than most killers.

Damn guess one of the best nurse mains in the world that can end games with 3 gens left are bad even if their noed didnt come into play.
-
@Phasmamain said:
Wait what god windows are left? Only one I can think of is Gideon’s drop down window.
I agree though map design is still awful even though they had the realm beyond as a chance to fix it
Disturbed ward god window, rancid god window, cowshed god window, coal tower god window, grim pantry god window. Most of the time I have to run these windows to entity block unless I'm a mobility killer.

Im quite sure it says changed to *give* 33% wiggle progress.
It says right in the description current wiggle progress. The other version was 25% total wiggle progress.
-
No it got nerfed? They changed it so when you drop the survivor gets 33% of their CURRENT wiggle progress. So if they have 10% wiggle and you drop they only gain 3% wiggle. If you drop while they have 50% wiggle they only gain somewhere around 16% wiggle. And dropping at 75% wiggle progress causes them to escape instantly as 33% of 75 is 25.
-
So take away our only option to identify the hackers that are still on steam? Gotcha
-
Im pretty sure he still does. He's supposed to move 110 movement speed while using rites of judgement.
-
Honestly i hope they take out house of pain entirely. It's so annoying going to myers house, go upstairs and someone already dropped and is running there.
-
I prefer, bbq, pain resonance, dms, agi
-
Well here's the difference between healing perks from killer and survivors, sloppy is countered by botany which actually still heals faster, Coulrophobia only works while inside the killers tr so i guess if you're playing 60 meter tr doc is good, and CoH still outclasses them both combined.
-
All billy really needed was not overheat and not being able to stack charging addons. Nowadays he just gets worse and worse with each map rework/map released since they add some wonky collision or make loops incredibly large to where its near impossible to curve against decent survivors.

Anyone who knows what’s good for game health wants Blight nerfed. His add ons need a full rework. Billy lost tuning guide, Blight has 6 add ons better than tuning guide ever was. He’s a stupid killer that has almost no counter play. Hug tech needs to go, bs 180 flick because of Adrenaline vial needs to go, Blight’s stupid base kit doesn’t need the most broken add ons in the game with it.
Id say make the maps more fair for m1 killers with no mobility then we can start looking at the mobility ones. Either way hug tech seems fine, its just it seems like mclean didn't get to finish blights new collision which has 2 factors whether to make you bump or not.
