That would never work, and could potentially cause the game to die (which is perfectly justified but thats beside the point).
Well the games dying anyway thanks to bhvr rarely listening and having this "we know whats right and you guys arent smart" attitude.

damn near infinites are not intended.

They were supposedly gonna have some way to combat cheater from the mid chapter but i really doubt it was good enough if they popped up again 2 hours after. And I will once again say, so much for trying not to give cheater "advance notice". Like obviously you cant remove it entirely but seeing it so soon after the mid chapter....

agi, it overall gets you more distance than iron grasp does since you move 18% more per second compared to moving an extra 3.6 m/s

I watched a few Oracle matches. After it was said and done, I don't get the hype.
Yeah there good, but these guys as well as other teams aren't playing on some whole other level that competent survivors aren't already doing.
I've played against competent teams many times, and most players play like this and it just strikes up the question as to why they play this game like it actually a real competition.
It's not.
I watch them use their second chance perks to make it to windows and pallets, and help each other heal using speed healing perks, or medkits.
The maps are designed to help survivors win. As long as the 4 survivors are gen focused, understand the map layouts, and how to handle each killers power they will always get the gens done.
It takes good understanding of the game, more than skill. There's no ultimate skill level a survivor can get to over someone else. In the end it's about knowing the maps, knowing the resources given, and an understanding on how to effectively loop a pallet and use windows at jungle gyms long enough for gens to go.
It takes some skill, but it's capped. It's mostly awareness of the crap around you but I hear people say they play in a way that's above and beyond others.
Not really. They just know how to loop and use the million pallets like they should.
So why is this a competition? The killer will always be outmatched, and out numbered. It's always the killer that has worse odds against the other 4 players.
A real competition is both sides having a equal chance, and the winner is the more skilled player.
Dead by daylight isn't like that. It's designed for 4 people to work together to get out. And they will, every time using the resources that the devs give on these maps.
I just don't understand the hype of these tournaments. Doesn't make sense to me.
Well for most rule sets it's more trying to make the game as balanced as it can be. Which I guess it can be cause if you look back at the Best of the Best tournament fingergunz destroyed oracle as nurse.

Directly idk, indirectly 100%. Ormond and cold wind just made it 10x harder to see scratch marks, gideons turned into pallet city, father cambells just make disturbed ward have 2 god pallets with 2 god windows. CoH just removing certain playstyles and killers.

So what do you want? You want all totem spawns to be hidden behind seven textures? Some of the spawns are visible, some take half an hour to find. It's luck. Luck based mechanic is not supposed to always be in favor of killers. Try playing soloQ once in your life on Lery's, Swamp, RPD or Midwich, against a killer who has Devour.
Its not hard to learn totem spots. Plus those totems being next to gens and plain out in the open on a pedestal should not happen.

Wow so much for BHVR not wanting to give hackers 'advanced notice" when they still end up bypassing it in less than a week.

Sometimes when you write certain things your comments have to wait for a mod to approve them I think?
Well yeah I see it now. Don't know why it didn't show up even though i refreshed 3 times when you typed the approving comment. But yeah Scott is actually a really nice guy that really only voted/donated for the good causes. He didn't agree with anything bad but compared to the other choices he picked the better ones.

I don't see how you can argue about something that you don't know the full story, but that is pretty interesting.
Idk you can say that to people who argue against fnaf because "scott did x x and x" when they constantly just look at his online presence not the person he actually is. Which you did something similar by judging a book by its cover which in its most basic form is jump scare child murderer.

You can tell me the jist of what makes Springtrap is and does what he does.
Well I don't know that far into the books and the official start of it but basically daughter killed by his own creation, realized his daughter still lived in the robot, someone else's daughter killed by him and merged with a different animatronic. I don't know the real reason he started killing but he realized the metal mixed with spirits had special properties so it became a chain killing of experimenting with the metal in an effort to make himself immortal than after that the rest is in the books I didn't read.

No freddy Kruger is one of the largest horror icons there is and the Remake freddy, is the Remake Freddy but he's still a representation of OG Freddy Kruger. At the time the rights were tied up in another studio's hand and the original *has went back to the craven estate.* The 2010 reboot had a different script but has changed last minute to make freddy more darker.Freddy fans don't like remake freddy but they love freddy regardless,so that's why he's here.Og freddy was a child killer but he motives kind from revenge more than anything not just jump scare child killer.
Ok now this is where I leave off cause you clearly don't know anything about fnaf lore and why he's a child murderer.

FNAF is far too polarizing to be in DBD.
I despise it almost entirely based off of its community, there are plenty of others that agree with me as well.
You do realize no multiplayer game community is safe from being split right? This community is incredibly split. You have the entitled people, the die hard comp players. Also despising a whole game franchise basically off of its community is not really a fair reason. Undertale was an incredible game but people hated the community of. But that never stopped people from playing the game and liking it.

Every license in DBD in classified as horror. FNAF isn't horror. It was cool in 2014, but there's almost no effort in it. Jumpscares do not equal horror.
The only Killer without an obvious attempt to be horror-esque is Trickster who was solely meant to bring in K-pop fans and pretty much everyone hates him.
Halloween, Nightmare on Elm Street, Saw, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Scream, Stranger Things, Silent Hill and Hellraiser.
You obviously weren't here when the Hellraiser teaser said "1987" because that's when the first Hellraiser movie released and the Forums were flooded with "is this a fnaf teaser" and "the bite of '87?!?!?!" until Hellraiser released. The fanbase is actually one of the worst I've ever seen and I vibe with STAR WARS.
Well by definition fnaf still is horror. That fact will not change.

- DBD is a collection of some of the greatest horror icons there are, FNAF is cheap jumpscare youtuber-bait which only got popular because of a bunch of people with no personality overreacting and shrieking at anything that happened on the screen. To include it alongside real horror is disrespectful.
- Obtaining the license would be giving money to someone who supports homophobia.
- Every single skin would basically just be furries.
I wouldn't say entirely "giving money to someone who support homophobia" as FNAF is in someone elses hands now so the money would most likely go to them.

Something something "wouldnt fit" something something would bring in a lot of 12 year olds etc

Im surprised you are able to run 2 instances of dbd with how badly optimized the game is.

Anything that puts the survivor in fall stagger is a "great height". As you see there is very little distance needed to count as a great height.

I've been thinking about the way Gen regression are lately and have found a huge design flaw imo and it's the fact that they design them as if they are going to be used with other regression perks. This leads to single regression perks been practically useless aside from ruin which you still normal run in a combo. The next problem is that you can run multiple Gen regression perks so they have to be balanced as if they are going to be. Then you have the 4 perk limit which means that in most cases you have to dedicate half your build to have decent Gen regression. Behavior said they had no plans to limit perks but if we aren't getting any base regression I think they should limit Gen regression to 1 perk and balance them accordingly.
The day they balance maps to not have 80 meters of distance per gen is the day they can look at regression.

same as killers than are carried with gen regresión perks
Ehh there's a difference being able to survive without distance on command and actually neutering yourself. Literally on half the roster you NEED gen regression to do well against survivors with brains.

Yeah the community is really overreacting about this one.
A. It tells you they have it when you pick them up
B. Just walk down the stairs, it's really not a big deal
C. I know there's an infinite but they could put a hook up there, it's not the fault of the perk
It's not a bad perk don't get me wrong but if you want any value out of it you have to make entire builds or play styles around making it work and that's taking up so many of survivors resources just for a chance to wiggle off. Not worth it at all.
You realize on most maps its best on "walking down the stairs" gives the same amount of wiggle progress compared to if you just dropped down? Also on RPD or disturbed after that hook is gone it just turns back into an infinite.

Why?
Do BHVR have any tester? Are your testers trying this perks before PTB? Or are you listening your community, who are trying changes on PTB? People saw issues and how BHVR ignored everything?
Well it's well known at this point that the PTB is more of a marketing thing than an actual bug tester.

Just because the logical and realistic thing of 4 randoms not being coordinated doesn't mean he needs to be disabled. As for "he isn't fun to play against" this game wasn't really built around having fun 100% of the time as it's a pvp game.
Imagine you're playing Apex Legends and you have the most un-synergized team and using the worst guns. Then you come across the 3 most synergized characters using the best guns. Should you really be having fun when you're at the disadvantage?
-
His power has a cool down. It depends on how many tokens you make him use to either miss or hit (excluding alch ring). Also this killer is really OP in the hands of people who understand him inside and out. I don't really see any mid-tier blights getting sub 40 second chases unless the survivor is straight oblivious to what they're doing.
I would say he's the most balanced killer when used in his base power.

wwwwwwait, are you suggesting COH give you an infinite 10 second self heal instead of the current 20 (16 pre nerf) because even with the lowered healing buff, that'd be ABSOLUTELY insane. i would argue that's far stronger than current coh.
i agree that the wording is bad but all you need to change it to is "75% healing buff to ALTRUISTIC heals" and that's it. then the secondary condition would be "heal yourself at a 25% penalty"
that 75% buff should not be applying to medkits because of how insanely dumb it is, so this would rebalance that and make the description clearer.
Well more like 18 seconds post nerf but yeah 10 second self heal would be stupid to add.

@Kaioken99 said:

Yes, but that's what I mean. The perk should be working properly so it could be rebalanced appropriately.
I'd be okay with nerfing CoH to 50%, but remove the self-care penalty so it's just a flat 50% buff to all healing speeds. That way no matter what it's roughly a 10 sec heal. I think that's more reasonable.
Actually, a 60% buff makes the heal take exactly 10 seconds. In my opinion, that seems fair.
So what you're saying is remove the self care penalty but keep the self care. Nah that would be busted. In no world would 10 second SOLO heals for everyone be balanced. Like the perk is working properly idk how it's not. It gives you the perk Self care inside its radius but meanwhile it increases ALL heal speeds by 75%. so the 50% penalty you would have (0.5 charges per second) turned into a 0.875 charges per second which is still an 18.2 second self heal.
-
@Kaioken99 said:
Don’t get me wrong, I’m okay with CoH being nerfed but the perk’s wording suggests that you can heal yourself at the regular rate and at an increased 75% rate.
I’m pretty sure that self-healing is 16 charges and not 32 charges by default. Before the nerf, the fact that self-healing with CoH took 16 seconds suggested that base self-healing took 32 charges and the 100% bonus doubled your healing rate.
Wouldn’t that imply that med-kits also double your self-healing speed without saying it?
Again, I’m okay with the nerf, but shouldn’t it be working properly to then find the sweet spot to balance it?
No healing always took 16 charges. Self care doesn't "add charges" it just makes it so you heal at 0.5 charges per second. Now that that's out of the way imagine the title of the post without the healing speed penalty with the 75% increase. Yeah it would be busted to have 9.1 second self heals with just a single perks, items and other perks not included.

Welp without video evidence then absolutely nothing will happen to them
Like anything will happen to them anyway. Accounts are dirt cheap and people have made hundreds of accounts when dbd was free on epic games. Lets hope whatever they did to try and combat cheaters can be a semi fix to where they have a live system to detect "this person is moving faster than normal for x amount of time without x perks or medkit addon"
-
It's that people dont really know how to play against them. You wanna stay grouped up when victor is in control so if he does down someone you got that 5 second window to kick him. This then forces the twins to either leave where their main body is to force and come to you or they can do the game of constantly sending victor after you.
-
I mean they still get the info that, that gen was most progressed so there's a 90% chance someone gonna be there.

I believe it'll be .75/16.
? no. I don't know if you forgot to put the 1 in .75 but the way it works is, survivors heal 1 charge per second with 16 charges needed to heal. So with the 75% increase that would obviously mean 1 x 0.75 which had the final product be 1.75 charges per second for healing others. Then with the self care part you would do the 50% healing penalty which is simply 0.5 second charges per second and yada yada you should get the rest.
-
@thrawn3054 said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2767682#Comment_2767682
The self care with the nerf is 21.33 seconds. So a lose of 5.33 seconds.
I don't think its actually that. Since they use the charge system the math would go: .5 x .75 which is .375 and add those up and do 16 divided by that to get 18.2 seconds. Its the same with healing another person so 16/1.75 since the 75% heal buff.
-
It literally got moved from an 8 second heal on another person to a 9.14 second heal on another person. And made the self care like what around normal healing speeds? If anything they didn't nerf it enough and should have made it so you have a timer to where you cant bless a totem for a minute and 30 seconds after its been snuffed.
