They get a fat chunk of wiggle if you drop them.
I know but it's only 25% so that means she would still have at least 10 seconds to wiggle off.

It was a thing, so something in your narrative is off.
I don't think so. I specifically remember carrying someone to the hook for at least 5-6 seconds, someone sabo'd the hook i was going to, i drop her, bleed her out for like a minute and a half and eventually they both run off cause they know I'll bleed her if i really wanted to then i pick her back up and wiggles out 5 seconds later.

It’s both that and while slugged.
It just didn’t matter in most matches but when it does it can make a pretty significant difference.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2797558#Comment_2797558
If anything I’d say this encourages slugging since you can’t pick them back up if you dropping them made them close to wiggling out.
With the old system you can go back and hook eventually.
Honestly I don't believe that cause ive slugged someone for a almost 2 minutes cause their teammates kepts trying to come for a pallet save and they still wiggled out after wiggling for like 4 seconds, at that point they should have only been 25% wiggle at the most.
-
I thought wiggle regressing was only while you're carrying the survivor and you stop wiggling.

People just seem to want every killer nerfed, because they died to them.
I mean yeah, a lot easier to believe the wrong/whine about wanting this and this nerfed instead of learning counterplay. Same exact thing happened with blights original 180 flick where he could do it in one frame and was basically locked in the flick until someone figured out how to correct it a weak prior to it being patched.

He has no counter. You can't do crap against good blight and he needs nerfs. Strongest killer besides nurse? Nerf her too so we finally have somewhat balanced killer roster
Somewhat balanced killer roster? Bro if the killer roster was really balanced you wouldn't have pig'/trapper only being good with x and y addons and perks.

Take it up with the creator. He's the one stating it is for children. I mean, Snow White has a wicked Queen who tries to kill teenage girl with poison. Wizard of Oz has a wicked witch who threatens to boil a child and a dog. Kid's properties have always been able to have an edge to them. Does not put them on the level of Freddy Kruger or Jason Voorhees.
If Springtrap targets children, are we going to now put an under 18 survivor in to get their head split by Huntress' are, or head smashed and finger cut off and sucked on by Clown?
Still nowhere near as graphic as DbD. This is a very bad idea, just due to the blurring of lines for a children's property and adult content.
Well the games more PG-13 but the survivor can very much be an original one. Ghost Face, Bubba, and Pinhead released as their own separate chapters then got a survivor later given then the survivor for ghost face was a different license and I forgot if bubba got an original survivor with him or not. Also if im not wrong... clowns VHS Porn addon is a video tape of all his victims, and his victims include children as stated by a dev a long time ago.
-
The way to "fix" tunneling and camping is to incentivize the killer to go for more chases. Because they know the moment they leave they're gonna get ripped off the hooked and healed in 9 seconds.
-
Well in theory this shouldn't be a problem but dbd players can be quite.... slow. It's as simple as the person who hasnt been hooked yet to get down by the killer then hooked or left to crawl out, either way if they get hooked or downed it effectively extends the egc as a downed or hooked person causes the egc to be extended. Then use that time to find noed or wait out the 2nd door.

You're correct. Saying something wouldn't fit is a statement. A statement of their opinion.
This is a subjective matter. There is NO right or wrong. You cannot prove or disprove whether or not FNaF would fit into DbD because it's entirely up to personal opinion. You can think it would fit and @Aurelle can think it wouldn't. And that's completely okay.
I'm saying it's okay but calling a statement of someone's opinion to inadvertently say it's the same thing as their opinion just seems... off. There is a difference between proving a statement wrong and telling someone their opinion is wrong. It's like going up to Stephen Hawking or a NASA scientist and saying "I'm smarter than you in this" despite having no research in their field of work. Are you telling me there is no right and wrong in that situation because it's a statement of their opinion?
-
@OnryosTapeRentals said:

That is still their opinion though??????
If @Aurelle doesn't want FNaF in DbD then that's their opinion on the matter. Whether you're a fan of FNaF or not is a completely subjective thing. There's no right or wrong answer over whether it should or shouldn't be in DbD; it's simply a matter of personal preference.
This thread is literally just people talking about what they want/don't want to see for the 6th anniversary. There's no proving right or wrong about what people do and don't like?????
I wasn't saying their opinion was right or wrong? I was proving wrong how FNAF wouldn't fit when they stated that they don't want FNAF in. Saying something wouldn't fit in is a statement, now saying "I feel like" which tells the reader it's more of an opinion than someone straight up saying it wouldn't fit in. Overall they just poorly chose their words.

Not to be rude but they're just stating their own opinion.
They're perfectly entitled to think FNaF is silly and not scary. Just as you're entitled to think it's scary and immersive.
A huge region there's SO much resistance to FNaF in DbD is because any time someone dares to say they're not a fan they get flooded with comments talking about how their personal opinion is "factually wrong" and that they clearly didn't take into account X, Y and Z obscure factors about the franchise.
People don't need to justify their opinions to you, nor do their personal preferences need logic or reason. If a Clown costume isn't silly to someone but an animatronic bear is then so be it. Some people don't like tomatoes but happily eat tomato ketchup... It's just how humans are lol
Thats the thing, it wasn't "I wouldn't mind it being in even though I personally don't find it scary". It was them saying they hope not because it doesn't fit into the game. At that point it needs X Y Z to at least try to make people understand. It really doesn't make sense to call that an opinion when it's more of a statement. Nor will people leave it like that, people will ask questions why and either prove what they said wrong or not.

Clown has all sorts of funny outfits because he's... well a clown. Which some people are scared of.
I grew up on the FNAF franchise and I never found it all that scary. Springtrap was never that scary. A animatronic running around in DBD would make it look like one of those funny FNAF GMOD videos you'd see back in the day. Again, this is just my opinion. 🤷♀️
Oh forgot to mention all the survivor skins that look silly. Legion has some neon skin that makes them look more cool than scary, trapper gets turned into krampus, deathslinger gets pajamas etc. I also find most people that say they didn't find fnaf scary never really got immersed in the experience. Most of them often say "it's just a jumpscare sim you can predict. Like sure that's part of it but there's so many more factors that makes it scary. Here's a video for an in-depth explanation how what fnaf did in it's games actually made it scarier to play. How Audio Enhances the Horror of Five Nights At Freddy's - YouTube. But just playing the game doesn't make it that scary but actually listening to the stuff around you is how you get immersed into it.

I mean that's your opinion, but I was just stating mine. Seeing an animatronic running around in DBD just seems silly to me. 🤷♀️
It's not just my opinion it really is factually wrong. That is further proven how you think a killer robot running around seems silly but you fail to mention the cosmetics they add that also make this game silly. Does anyone go around and say "I'm afraid of Mr. Puddles clown"?
-

Why is it wrong? FNaF is listed as a children's property. There is no gore, no on screen murder. No dismemberment. DbD is a much more mature property focused on blood, gore, dismemberment, torture, death, eternal damnation and suffering.
Two very different concepts.
Did you forget fnaf 3? spring trap literally has guts visible inside him. And the lore is literally a child murderer making robots that he then kills kids then stuff them into to get them to be possessed then dismantle them on a mission for immortality. So labeling fnaf as "for children" is far from correct. Also you forgot the first games death screen has human eyes peeking out of the suit so there is gore there, the second talking about a part of someone's head getting bitten off, minigames that shows someone killing a child and a different on giving life to dead bodies.
Also for the part of "doesn't fit in" like bruh we have survivors running around in onsies, as a present/elf, people without shirts, a penguin outfit and hell even a kpop star. You telling me that really fits in a game that's supposed to be classified as "horror"?
-
@Aurelle said:
I hope not. FNAF does not fit into this game. And besides, what kind of map or survivor would we get if this did happen?
"does not fit".... i have never seen a more wrong sentence.
-
Blight is no longer short.
-
Large part of that is from natural server de-sync and has been proven to be there despite having 30-50 ping for both parties. Out of like 200 hours on huntress i've only had 2 hatchets i wouldn't consider hits but every hatchet around a corner hit on my screen.
-
Tbh most of it is because "it rewards bad plays" so here I have my points
You can remove noed before it ever comes into play and now you have CoH to strengthen that by leaving the last gen to be complete to look for totems
It's technically a thought ahead play by intentionally running the trail 3 perked instead of something like, dms, pain resonance, bbq, and corrupt
it's "un-earned" which is rich coming from 90% of people who complain about it
Survivors have the tools to combat it but most of them say "well solo q" well yeah thats the point of playing with randoms. tbh ive had games where the killer had noed and it didnt even come into play from either how bad my teammates were dying at 3 gens left or the killer was actually good in chase
Also if the killer really played bad wouldn't that mean you would have enough time to find 5 totems? Their argument kinda contradicts themselves.

If it’s not, then why haven’t the devs removed it after 5+ years?
Doesn't matter if its been removed or not. They still haven't even gave an answer if it's intended or not or at least to my knowledge. Either way it makes no logical sense to why you cant pickup a survivor being healed. And honestly seeing as this company has proven to be incompetent time and time again probably means it was an oversight.

Healing is an intended mechanic in the game. Spamming the cage thing is not.
Healing is intended, but healing someone to block the pickup action is not.
-
Sorry you said the name of a developer. Best we can do is remove all your cosmetics.
-
My favorite part is when im trying to play trickster or huntress and I see the console survivors ice skating and then rubber banding toward the opposite direction.
-
she's such a bullyable killer to the point where if survivors start ######### up your web at the start of the game its gonna be incredibly hard to come back.
-
Yeah BHVR really put themselves in a bad spot. The dbd playerbase are notorious for taking advantage of the dc penalty being turned off to literally dc for anything, their dh didnt work? dc, a killer they dont like? dc, a killer has these sets of perks? dc, 2 teammates go down within the span of 20 seconds? dc etc. Meanwhile the hacker problem grows.

If you're going for the save dont get on the gen before the hook? It only blocks the gen after you let go during its duration.

Will it, though? Because I'm pretty sure the current flashlight mechanic works on the blinding survivor's perspective of where the killer is facing, not the server (see other survivors' PoV) or the killer. Once flashlights hit a certain... brightness, threshold, something, it doesn't matter if I turn away. I'm still going to get blinded while I'm facing the other direction. Can't even begin to count how many times this has happened.
On the other hand, it makes me wonder if flashlight saves would even be possible against non-baby killers if this was fixed. Because unless it's timed absolutely flawlessly, I have that window to turn away - it's just that turning away usually doesn't work.
I mean it turns the flashlight into truly something you have to time correctly. Personally I don't like hearing the blindness way before im getting blinded then 1 second later the blind starts happening and that still saves them.
-
I mean survivors are just clones of themselves. Same old loop drop loop drop. Rarely have I gone against survivors that mind gamed me.

Billy "feels" miserable after the nerf because survivors playstyle has changed, and the overused instasaw is gone.
"Feels" bad not to instasaw survivors with 1 second saw charge. This is why the majority of billy mains are gone. The instasaw.
More like, the map reworks just made it worse and worse to play him how they add objects sticking out of loops so you can easily bump into it.

It's called "second chance" for a reason, you're not supposed to "counter" these perks
I really dont think survivors should have such impactful second chances. Like killer I get it's a 4v1 but for every survivor able to have a 3rd health state or just pick themselves up off the ground despite their team heavily ######### up is stupid.
-
Legit let go of the gen before the hook wait for her to snipe the gen and get back on it. If she really wanted to injure you she would have to go for you or focus solely on you instead of sending more crows to your teammates.

Yeah. At this point idk if it was intended or not cause mclean was aware of it while he was still working at bhvr but never fixed it or either never had to the time too. He’s by far the most unbalanced killer. If you looked at my previous posts I’ve only complained about him and artist the most. But I’ve been proven wrong. Artist is not as strong as I made her out to be. Blight on the other hand is something else. At this point they should nickname him “The exploit” or “The headache”.
When there's only 1 exploit left on him...

Tfw you havent even tested the perk and call it dead.
-
Even if it is bait.... I havent seen new blights get 4k's against competent teams so calling him braindead easy is a huge understatement. You put a new blight against a team like Agony and he'll get destroyed. I would personally like to see your gameplay of blight without addons and mid range slowdown.
Also a few points
You don't try to play a distance game when a killer is designed to counter that type of play
A ruin tinkerer bot blight is stupidly easy to counter. It's literally just split up on gens and when you hit about 70% progress assume hes gonna go for you.
Overall I don't think you've played blight enough against semi decent survivors.

If survivors are so weak then how come the 4k rates for killers are so so high?
? the average kills per match for every killer is around 50% idk where you got the numbers for high 4k rates.
-
Base blight is the most balanced. That means no addons. Also there really is only 1 tech left thats still a debate on whether its an exploit or not. That of which is hug tech but everything else is fine other than the obvious m flicks that are a thing. Scoot slide was an intentional mechanic that mclean approved of since you're looking down therefor no m1 collision to you can make yourself slide.
-
Idk what the guy did wrong he was just trying to get a kill. You know his objective.
-
I wear either the white blight or "black" (its actually blue) recolors
-
I'd rather not have an exhaustion perk base kit.
If you get baited to going for the vault then you should 100% be hit, not get a freebee.
You do not balance a game by adding something as powerful as lithe base kit.
You claim survivors are weak but I see plenty of survivors do really well in chase without exhaustion.
You are not meant to win every chase hence why the killer is faster than survivor, I don't know where you got "slowly creeping up on you" when the gameplay is anything but that for 90% of killers.

I’m not trying to take away the fact blight has a high learning curve and skill ceiling, the point I’m making is that these addons create a 9/10 lose for the survivors. As I said earlier if I can get across red forest and have my power back from 0 charges to 6 in 2 seconds thats unfair, if a survivor outplays me and makes me miss a rush then I shouldn’t have my power back in less than a second to do it again when the survivor has taken the fact they outplayed me to create distance only to be put on they’re arse by the fact I’ve got my power back
I mean for a full power use its still a 7 second recharge which is still close to base power of 10 seconds for 5 tokens. And tokens dont start recharging until the fatigue is done. But tbh idk why you would use shredded notes with adren vial when umbra salts is almost always the better pick. Also speaking of unfair, killers have been in an unfair spot until about 2 years ago when the game finally got at least a little bit even of a playing field. Also yeah in another post above, you dont play distance against a blight.
-
Winning is fun and I'm not responsible to make it fun for a team that's my rival.
-
I mean its still not an addon where you run and and you magically are better at the game. You already have to learn blights base power.
