Unfortunately like all things, its the difference in what the system uses for turning. Since controllers use a joystick (YAW system) you can only turn so fast while a mouse uses DPI so the faster you flick the faster you turn.
-
Im pretty sure a "safe unhook" is just a set timer of a survivor not being downed after being unhooked. Cause I've had a person deliverance despite me hitting the person that had bt and down them cause they stay nearby for an extra 8 seconds.
-
Something something, curving op and unfair (unironically heard from a person).

Well, I just call it lame design then if this is really intended. If you guys all tell me that this is a legit hit, then there is simply no counterplay. Because every single option the killer might have picked here would result in a hit with all your explanations. Regardless of what the Meg did, every option like J flick, S/Z flick, turning in before or after the tree would have hit. The only option to survive this is when the killer f°°°°° up and that is plain boring to go against.
I mean, respect to those who master this killer, definitely. But all your argumentation rather makes me DC the next games I go against Blight than anything else. You could also design a killer like Slenderman then. If you stare long enough at a survivor he drops to the ground. The only difference would be the skillcap. Kind of how old Legion was, but Blight needs 10 seconds to get there rather than 60
I mean either way, the blight did a hard read and got rewarded for it. If she decided to keep running past the tree to shack while LOS was broken and not into the blights path she would have dodged the hit 100%.

I do get where you are coming from but they did indeed also good changes. You cannot say the hatch, key, ds, insta heals changes wherent good?
I just see it as mostly trying to keep their killer players. They announced a key and insta heal nerf a month before and so killers had to suffer for 1 month straight of constant insta heals. Og ds would have been meh if the game was anywhere near balanced. The only thing I really give BHVR credit for is managing to acquire so many iconic licenses. Other than that all the issues they fixed could have been done by someone you could find on fiver for $5 in a fraction of the amount of time they take.

Where does this sarcasm come from? Did I wrote something that controversal?
Nah its just I take BHVR as serious as I do as an antique inside an air tight plastic bag. Nothing makes sense with them and can never be transparent.

I hope your cousin is ok, but you're expecting way too much out of a dev team that took 5 years to add colorblindness settings despite unreal engine has integrated colorblindnes mode they can nearly copy paste into the game.
-
From what I heard it's literally just an addon rework for legion. Hopefully if that is the case they can make some actually useful addons instead of 'decreases mend timer" or "increases the range of killer instinct/makes the person broken ONLY if they're highlighted by killer instinct".
Lets not make it a twins situation like baby teeth where they increased the duration of blindness and were like "yup its good" when the obvious reason it wasn't used much (or at all) is because you actually needed to crush victor off your back to get the blindness, not if the twins recalls him or they down you, or simply just holding onto him.
-
Maybe they actually changed it to favor the party with the better connection to the server....
-
We can talk about it soon™

I think you underestimate how long 3 seconds is. The killer miss cooldown is only 1.5 seconds.
I am not, 3 second is literally enough time to get around a small autohaven junk loop. Not to mention if the killer decides to try and mind game instead of holding W it will def be 3 seconds.

There's a difference between a niche use and making a perk's main use too weak.
Like MoM is hard to pull off, but the effect you get for it is at least worth it. Imagine if they made it so MoM only protects you against exposed hits while injured. It would be absolutely useless as a perk even though there is technically a situation where it is useful.
Ultimately if the goal is to "fix" dead hard and make it so dead harding for distance isn't strong, then the perk needs more a rework rather than a straight nerf. Since you need to buff dodging a swing aspect in order to nerf the distance aspect when not dodging a swing. Like you could nerf the distance given to you by the dash and then give Dead Hard a mini sprint burst if the killer swings within a small time frame of dashing. There were some challenges around having the kill whiff a swing iirc so it's already possible for the devs to track that.
This is pretty easy as there is the score event as survivor to make a blight miss a lethal rush attack. Just make that the perk requirement and when the game detects the killer swings on nothing while in chase and X amount of meters away from you, you get a 2 second sprint burst then get exhausted for 40 seconds (but hey bhvr isn't smart enough for that so I guess it wont happen). So then it actually rewards good gameplay and makes the killer learn as well.

Assuming that Survivors miscalculate is pretty much wrong. The bad Survivors might do that, but they also use DH in an open field or plunge their face into a wall while using Dead Hard. But those are not problematic for any Killer.
The good Survivors however dont miscalculate and dont get outplayed by the Killer, they use DH to gain an extra Loop because they get away with it - because of DH.
I mean saying "dont misscalculate" is a pretty big statement. I've seen good survivors (stated by the community) miss calculate plenty of times but then dh saves them. Like the perk was intended to be a gimmick then people just exploited it into a normal thing.

Nah then what the hell is the point of using it to dodge a hit?
As much as I hate this godamn perk, you literally cannot change the effect of it without making it bottom tier trash. All you can realistically do is increase the cooldown. 40 up to 60 maybe? Unless you just rework it entirely.
90% of the time this happens there's enough distance to wait out the 3 seconds then throw the pallet. Now unless you dh into a wall next to a window or pallet you 100% deserve to go down if the killer falls for the dh.
-
@IlliterateGenocide said:
But then that makes deadhard almost worthless. I do agree deadhard is stupid. But I don't want a perk to be worthless.
I mean gimmicks are supposed to be worthless most of the time. Nothing good should ever come out of the gimmick if you miscalculated the distance against someone that has a brain.
-
Weird since they haven't said or done anything about it even though in the past (idk if it still is a thing now) the use of macros was against BHVR's TOS for dbd.

I'm not bringing anything into anything. I'm just saying i dont think DBD devs want another SH*t show in their hands by adding a DLC with a creator that has some...issues with him.
Tbf they literally added a character that had NFT's and had a hand in creating them. All they're looking for is money and fnaf will def bring that in.

I would say he turned the camera AFTER the hit which is normal because you have free camera movement after the hit again. And if at all, server latency should have told the killer that Meg is still behind the tree and approaching the point that you see from survivor POV, so server issues would kinda deny that hit rather than allow it. Or other way round, if latency was an issue, the Blight would be in front of Meg rather than beneath, from server POV
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2835821#Comment_2835821
you saw my image right? They hadparallel paths and this screenshot shows they are basically looking into the same direction. But AS satated above, this makes sense when the Blight doesn't have a cone but an ellipse to hit people besides him. So I think it is just bullshit, this killer has already so many unintended "techs" to grind and gets assisted by a "hit what u don't see" hintbox as well
Maybe I could explain it a little better... So in FPS games there's weird kills right where you get killed despite the opposing players model is not fully looking at you. Here is what it's happening to where on the blights screen they are looking at the meg but on the megs POV the blight model isn't turning fast enough.
You can see evidence of this when spin attempts fail and the killer swings, survivor gets injured, then the killer turns. Essentially that is happening here but on a little smaller scale. It's all server latency which naturally always happens unless you're the one hosting the server. And as it's EU the killer could be somewhere from the bottom of Spain while the survivor is from more middle to Eastern EU.
Either way she still ran into the blight and where the hit actually connected the blight was already looking at where she was. Or could be the simple fact the blight had a better connection to the server than she did. I still find the issue above to be prevalent even with similar low ping games though.

Your image is not correct. You did two flicks to the right. The video shows a flick to the left. And as far as I know you can't flick twice. The second change of view angle is AFTER the hit connects
You can flick twice, its called an S flick. Which was dubbed around the same time J flick was, so a year ago. Also idk where the streamer is located but judging by the blights fit it was prob lilith omen which knows blight in and out.
Edit: Watched the vod back and it wasn't lilith but the blight did have adren vial which makes the hit even more possible as the increased look angle allows for flicking further.
-
Looks like a normal hit to me. By the time she got hit the blight was turning into her and natural server de-sync can make it look worse.

Not always. I have friends that can play months before their account is actually detected and even then, they made somewhere around 50-100 accounts from the epic games promotion and save injecting so...

Woooo stretched is gone... now its just gonna be FOV configs which is much more of an advantage.

It was a bad sign ever since they decided to add MMR permanently. Then tell us its just based off kills and escapes.

I find it funny that people complain about wraith now even though anyone daring to play wraith before the speed buff would just use windstorm already unless they were insane. Like sure he can have double windstorm again with an extra addon but jesus the amount of people complaining about him now.

Honestly badham can use a weaker shack. You forgot to mention the 2 story house which usually loops into something else.

The point of the perk is to stop you getting put back onto a hook until you have actively progressed the game through a gen, hooks save or even a heal. The survivor doesnt even have to fully complete the action they just need to tap it.
But having it the way suggest in the OP means you can actually abuse the mechanics to tunnel. Atm if it hasn't been 60seconds you just slug them, but if they tap a gen, heal or hook you can hook them.
Having it where it deactivates after you hook someone can be quite unfair, you cant control your team and how well they do. So not only can you be stuck with bad players due to a bad matchmaking but you can also be taken out the game super fast.
And what if the killer gets multiple downs? You can hook one, then when you hook the other the first loses his DS so you can basically full on tunnel someone.
Current DS helps a solo player have control on how quickly they can be hooked, most players dont wait 60seconds not doing anything and if they do easy game for you.
Perks like DS are great, perks like DH are not
Tbh I disagree with the whole anti-tunneling part with ds. I see it more of perk that buys time if the killer decides to tunnel, cause if you ds the killer they might as well keep going for you as you just used your perk to buy time that they need to get back.

Nurse disabled + people realizing blight is extremely good when played well.
-
I mean does it really matter? The entity looks for people that it can corrupt and coerce them into killing for them. Sally it insane basically, Charlotte is only in prob cause the entity keeps victor in a zombified state, Rin just has a bunch of rage similar to oni, Adiris got pulled in thinking that it would save her people (or what I think is the situation), Huntress is literally a child in a adults body, etc.
The males just seemed to be brought in by things normally would like a serial killer clown, a mercenary cowboy, a scientist that injected himself with a strange serum, 2 people who were basically in a situation where they didnt have a family (billy and wraith) and more.

Making maps not have terrible collision to where I can bump by turning 1 degree into the wall. Also make gens and lockers smoother while curving.

No matter how wide the hitbox is, it is hidden by the wall, and if the verdict is correct, there is definitely a problem.
Do developers only play Huntress characters? To be honest, if you raise your hand and follow it, the hitbox is too wide.
So it cannot be avoided.
While Huntress is chasing survivors, you cannot use Pallet Looping on low structures.
People still dont seem to understand that there's a noticable de-sync in the servers.
-
More than likely they will walk away enough for you to exit the locker for you to either get to a pallet or window. I highly doubt they wouldn't check your locker anyway.

You can with certain programs, cheaters can also see theirs and your mmr

The definition of rework is to change something of the original version. It's not only held to buffing/nerfing something about the perk.

I mean im not confirming anything but knowing bhvr the "rework" will just be an addon pass as was demo.

Blight is insanely broken and not even close to balanced.
And that is the problem with balance in this game. We have a ton of underpowered killers, but we cannot buff Killers in general because it would make the top tiers that much worse.
I mean in the eyes of someone who includes his addons yes. If you know how to play against a base kit blight you'd be surprised from the amount of counterplay he has. He's a killer that actually takes learning the player instead of mindlessly pre throwing while he has power up.

Making it so Deathslinger walking backwards prevents survivors from even sliding around to attempt to get caught on things wouldn't make breaking out his chain easy in many situations. The whole chain mechanic existed, because Deathslinger unlike Huntress did not have a wind up and it would be unfair if Deathslinger could instant deal damage that way.
But the devs made it so survivors could react to his shot so now they can sidestep his very precision projectile while he can't really readjust his aim quickly due to the ADS destroying his sensitivity. I would have much preferred to lose the backwards walking tech than to lose quickscoping while also making his cancel ADS longer to make faking less effective.
Well not being able to sway a lot while you're being dragged makes sense. Meanwhile having the ads for unscoping taking half a second doesnt.

The pallet stuns aren't so bad for me but what really gets me is pallet and window vaults. It's pretty much forced me to run Spine Chill + Resilience because if I don't I can be standing up on the other side of the pallet and still get hit.
And yes it is super dumb that the lower your ping is the more you get rewarded. Hopefully they make vaults server sided soon.
You know that lower ping is better right? As you have better connection to the server. If both players had high ping you would be hit when you're already across a football field to the pallet.

I would personally consider that greedy even if it's for the sake of trading to let that person escape and you dying.
