Looking at it, seems perfectly fine. Don't understand the post.
Because as an Ash rank- which means I've not played much killer, no reason I should be going agaisnt red ranks, who have clearly played quite a bit of survivor.

@AGM said:
What exactly is this screenshot supposed to prove? That you lost against people who have played more dbd than you this month?
You even got a kill and who knows how many more hooks. It's not the end of the world to have a game where you don't 4k.
I play almost only survivor. I've probably played less than 5 hours total on killer games. So unless it's considering my survivor MMR in a killer game, which seems pretty messed up, I don't see YOUR point.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2805495#Comment_2805495LOL I'm sure THEY had fun.

Just thought this was a good idea and wanted to see if anyone had any thoughts on it 😣
-
Isn't "Jane" that pink dog that's leaving with the Stranger Things DLC?
-
I'm not exactly sure what the cheating you're talking about is if I'm being honest? I've played DBD for 2+ years and may have had like 5(?) games where I thought someone might be hacking, but had no proof. I've seen videos of the blatant hackers, but I don't think it's that common...
-
But it's just the map that's leaving o-o

There's already a "PC pref" option. Turn off crossplay and magically all other players will be from PC. Shocking, I know.
I'd say you probably didn't read my post all the way. 🙄

Thanks for the advice everyone. It just seems like the looping is much more difficult for this killer. And if you even get a relatively small/narrow map, that increases by like 25% lol

"With all the TOXIC killers in this game, this is a STAPLE perk, and it is NEEDED..."
This here suggests otherwise. So why exactly do you "need" it?
And no, as someone who also plays a lot of survivor you most certainly do not need this perk. I didn't even run it before it got nerfed.
Oh I already removed it :D I don't need to use it every game, obviously, but some games where the killer is extra toxic, which im sure you're aware of what that's like.. You might be one of them, it's needed.

DS now deactivates if you:
- Work on a gen
- Unhook another survivor
- Heal yourself or others
Mhm. I saw. So I'm not taking DS anymore. Might as well nerf self-care next. "Upon starting the use of self-care, if you attempt to heal yourself, self-care will deactivate for the rest of the game." I SEE IT COMING!
-
@Yords said:
If you need a perk to play as survivor, then you should probably improve your gameplay.
Oh I never said I NEED it to survive. I'm saying the increasing number of toxic killers makes the perk a staple in the game.
-
@DoritoHead said:
it deactivates when you're not being tunneled
or do you mean it's just deactivating at random?
If there is a situation where 2 of us are being basement camped and someone can come grab one of us, DS was used previously as a way of getting the other one off and still getting away. They essentially made it useless. Now it's VERY VERY situational.
-
@Laluzi said:
You're not being tunneled if you have time to do a gen or cleanse a totem. DS was never meant to provide you immunity to the killer for a minute, it was supposed to be a shield against people chasing you off the hook.
I know what decisive strike is for. I did not know about the stupid nerfing for certain actions. Thanks to those people that gave me the objective answer.

Is this part of the issues with the rank setbacks? Or is this the new normal?
I was survivor rank 1 and went back to rank 9. Not that I'll have a probably getting back my rank, just wondering is all.

I haven't really played since the update. I'll be back if/when they fix it.
I'm sure all the threads quieted down because the devs know the problem exists and are (hopefully) working on it. People have either acclimated to the ridiculous state of the game or have stopped playing like I have.
I have noticed though that a lot of content creators like Otzdarva and Puppers are posting older videos from before the update. It must be a tough time for them.
If you've not played during this, you have no idea how bad it is right now.
My friends are like "I wanna play DBD!" and I tell them every time that it's not going to end well.
I have new friends that have just gotten the game and I told them not to even try it yet, until this is fixed.

Thank you :)

@CakeDuty said:
They said it'll be fixed in the next Hotfix (most likely next week), I just assume people got tired of bringing up the same thing every day, after so long. Also it seems like the new daily thread trend is 'nerf DH' instead.
I did see a lot of those, yes.
-
I wrote a post on this once lol...
He can: Shock to find out where you are, shock to stop you from vaulting or throwing pallets, give you reverse and out of place skill checks, give you the inability to heal teammates before snapping out of it, can shock to interrupt totem cleansing or any of those short of actions, can make you see fake pallets, can make you see clones of himself (Which with an add-on, he can see), and when you're madness level is high, you occasionally scream also, which reveals your location.
Now... Lets take all of that and put it on top of the meta perks (barb, nurses, surveillance, discordance, etc etc etc) how the hell are you supposed to play against him and still go "This is a fun game!"

HexSlayer999 came up with a survivor to match my killer idea. See below:
"I have an idea for a survivor to go with this killer.
A witchy/pagan/esoteric character.
Perks could be:
Third eye: active ability. After cleansing a totem this ability becomes active. Once activated the survivor can clear their mind of shadow block/dr.s maddness status effect/plagues sickness/pyramids tormented status effect.
Can only be activated after cleansing a totem.
Stackable with inner strength (the balance is the more ppl that use it, perks that work with cleansing totems-the less totems there will be available.
Reiki Master or (ahem) hex slayer:
Basically slightly faster cleansing speed perk. Tier 1 is much slower then regular cleansing. Tier 2 is maybe like 1/2 a second faster then normal cleansing. Tier 3 is like 1 second faster
Healing aura: healing action button. Becomes active when a survivor is injured or in dying state. Survivor heals injured survivor at whatever distance (but at a much slower rate
thenregular healing; Just like when healing/selfcare survivor cannot move while healing from distances (cool fingers on temple animation when perk is in use). While the perk is in use the survivor healing's aura is revealed to the killer.This ability is cool because if an injured survivor is being chased/or in dying state they can get some progress on being healed; this also gives the killer the option to stop chasingi njured/searching for downed survivor and to go after healing survivor."

[Insert Teabagging Kate Denson]
[Insert a few flashlight clicks]
-
IN MY PERSONAL OPINION THOUGH... I would go ahead and knock out the prestige 3 of the person that you think you will "main." Once you get the prestige 3, you won't need to worry about item resets from the prestige, and you can have a comfort character with perks that you want when you end up doing the prestige on other people.
-
Meg Thomas. Adrenaline is an amazing perk to have.. Or if you have purchased any DLC, you will find out that having Laurie Strode's decisive strike is also really good.
-
When I go to open the door sometimes, Kate Denson's skull will appear and scare me lol
-
I'm still going to try and save if I can. I also run borrowed time, so it helps.
-
There's something really rewarding about Head On stuns....
-
Always throw where you think they will be in 3 seconds from where they are. It seems like a no brainer, but if you take the time to think about it while playing, you'll do a lot better. Same goes for Death Slinger.
-
Hey if you need someone to play it with, I can play with you :)

When you have the endurance effect, there is a draining timer surrounding the icon (same as the Exhaustion debuff). And, same as the Exhaustion debuff, when that timer is gone so is the effect. Sometimes it can hang around in screen for an instance or two later, but the effect is still gone.
YESS. All these things.
-
@Mandy said:
I'm confused, you say you used BT to save the hooked person - but that the icon for BT was showing on your screen?
I've not seen any issue with BT from the times I've been saved with it, so a video would really be helpful here, and a bug report.
The person that got downed had borrowed time and was hooked immediately. I tried to use the borrowed time to take them back off, as it was showing, but I got downed anyway.
-
I personally just don't like the stacking of aura reading perks. I think it can be a bit too much.

All you people saying "i don't care" better start caring, because any player lost is a blow to the health of the game. This game's hit the five year mark, and unless younger players are being introduced to the game through older friends (or have Game Pass like me and happen upon it), DBD's not getting many new players to keep things fresh. Get enough players aggravated to the point of leaving, and the game dies, and I don't know about the rest of you but I'd like the game to stick around.
LOL it is not our responsibility. 1) ignore players if they do toxic stuff. 2) its on the devs to work out mechanics that are not toxic, not us.
-
@Freudentrauma said:
Honestly 20 Ranks are already more than enough. I don't think the skill difference between players is that hugh actually. And considering tha the ranking system is more about grind/time investment than skill, I doubt it will have any positive impact on the game.
Although I agree it is about the grind, you do have to be hitting certain objectives after a point to be getting those PIPs

I tried to read this but stopped caring 😈

@Terro said:
It won't work. It'll just lead to those who are super good at the game purposefully deranking cuz wait times at higher ranks are too long. So those that are super good are chained to the highest average rank. Then as time goes on everyone eventually hits rank 1 again. Only now newer players are even more intimated by the rank numbers.
@Mandy said:
The first thing I thought when I read it was - lobby times would certainly increase a lot. For that reason alone I am not sure if this would work.
I didn't even think about the rank times. But aren't they pretty mixed with the ranks you can get right now anyway?

How come you get all the profile comments?!
I turned mine on like a month ago and I play Killer for several hours per day, and I've gotten exactly 1 DBD comment.

I'll be sure to leave you a -rep comment if I run into you <3

How long did the endurance effect have left? Could you tell?
I was just going based off the symbol being active on the right side, because it was a situation with a camping/tunneling Hag with a mori. I tried to use my borrowed time to save the hooked person, but it didn't work :D My friends have also experienced this same situation where they should have had it, but didn't.

I guess the best way to ask it is:
Would a rank 1 killer on console do just as good points wise as a rank 1 killer on PC?
Would a rank 1 survivor on console do just as good points wise as a rank 1 survivor on PC?
I notice a difference myself playing alongside console players, but the only difference I notice with console killers is usually what seems like a latency issue.
-
@Eninya said:
No. The game isn't close to balanced. Killer designs, for example.
That's a pretty general statement lol
-
@HagIsBestGirl said:
As a primarily console survivor playing more on PC lately, I've noticed that I play more stealthily and patiently than similarly ranked PC players.
Not that one's better or worse, I'm just more likely to sneak and hide. And they're more likely to run and loop.
Interesting! Thanks for sharing
-
@Kurasuma said:
Tbh, the only REAL differences between the 2 are the sensitivity, latency, and hacking. Hacking is much easier on pc, there are the same amount of buttons for both, latency is a #########, and killers can do a 100% bullshit, 360 degree slash on PC. WHICH shouldn't be allowed. I play console and have for many years. And I literally have no problem turning my camera around at all. So it's really not a big issue.
I don't experience "hacking" too often and wouldn't know if I did.
-
@Boss said:
Oh absolutely.
Ever since consoles joined my lobbies, there's been more running straightforward without plans and/or purpose.
I mean they'll use loops like normal, but from what i'm seeing, they don't look back as often, and thus going around and hitting them on the other side is somewhat more easy to pull off.
They also seem to like to 360 a lot more, which just never works.
Interesting :o Being a PC player, I never really see what the consoles do on the team during chases.
-
@Momentosis said:
There's a difference.
Consoles are inherently limited a bit by controller.
There are also things console survivors do that only really works on console killers and not PC killers(like trying to drop their frames to make them miss).
This doesn't mean every PC player is better than console player. It just means the ceiling is way higher on PC. Same for most games(like shooters) where precise movements with MnK makes a huge differnce.
Wouldn't someone adapt to using a controller the same way we adapt to a mouse?
-
We need more psychological horror! See my idea again <3

@Dabihwow said:
Just out of curiosity do you survivors feel bad when the killer gets destroyed, and he's trying their hardest to at least not depip, but never seem to be able to? Like they are just given can't seem to make a difference and get t bagged by a fellow survivor? I'm asking these because today I watched as a survivors watching a clown who just is trying to try the new killer getting t bagged flash lighted like crazy and mocked at by end game chat, I tried to cheer the guy up but didn't fully work. He tells me has had games very similar to this and that he is actually hurt by this. And I wonder do other survivors pity the killer or do they not care at all, so I'm asking do you pity a Killer, when he or she tries his ahrdest to get a good game but falls behind and is ridiculed by it, do you feel pity?
All. The. Time. I'm a rank 1 survivor.. so if I get into post game and realize it was a rank 10+ that was trying, I feel terrible. This is assuming they didn't do anything I personally disagree with like tunneling/face camping/slugging..

never once mentioned nurse man, only commenting on your point about them releasing the content for the 4th anniversery for free.
That's because the 4th year event is what's happening right now. I mean, do you not expect them to want money for all the hardwork they put into the different things?
Battlepass: Lots of free clothing items for both killers and survivors
Constant skins: some of them are ugly IMO, sure, but other people are probably like YES A NEW OUTFIT FOR MY MAIN..
New chapters: I can't even begin to imagine what trying to get licensing is like..
Cost of the 4 year old game: this one I'm not really sure what your point is here.. it's $20 USD.. That's like.. average? lol

Lol I play nurse unpopular opinion its really not that bad man. I for one am very happy with this update very balanced changes. Also happy with the amount of things fixed in 1 hot fix
I also play the nurse. I went out of the gate 1 time and was like "TF?" but didn't care because it was the end of the game and I thought it was kind of funny.
I don't scrutinize the hell out of her though, because I'm only in that game for ~15 minutes lol
