Cannibal's still one of my favorites.
I actually really dislike Nightmare's Mori.

But what if the killer isn't AFK, he's just not moving. Like a predator, lying in wait, for curious survivors to come near him so he can scare the ######### out of them with his chainsaw.
Gotten 4Ks this way, totally legit strategy yo
I've read a dev saying that that's a legit tactic, since you will do something Killer-like, but if you do it from the beginning to the end and no one falls for it, you could still get legit reports since you didn't do anything, which is a reason why AFKing is reportable.
I don't have a source of that dev's comment though, that was probably over a year ago.
-
They're really good for me right now, my last search was less than 10 seconds.

Not shut down at all, it’s reportable on that ticket but according to the page... on... this... site it is not a bannable offense
Yeah, that's always bothered me too, but I didn't misinform at all.
My point was that the game tells you it's a legitimate reason to report.
I would like confirmation now though.
@Rizzo90 Sorry to bother you, but perhaps you could shed some light on whether it truly is or not?
And also why it says so in-game but not here.

Uhm, no it isn’t... please don’t spread misinformation
unless you consider it holding a game hostage which is most versus not is not! holding a game hostage is blocking someone in a corner somehow, never attack them and forcing them to DC
AFKing certainly is reportable.

Philip is probably one of the few who wouldn't want to kill me.
Also, he'd make a great alarm clock.
-
I mostly do anyway.

Crashes.
-
Oh geez, which lesser evil...
Guess i'd go with the stronger one then.

The OP never really specified if this is in a LIVE match or a KYFs match. They only asked if this was possible to do in a general scenario. Since they accepted the answer... its clear that it didn't matter either way, since they can deduce themselves that a Killer constantly chasing one of the 4 SWFs members would kind of ruin the run if the hooks spawned in on a big map with the maximum hooks it could hold.
Regardless, they seem satisfied with what they've been given, which was and is my primary intention to do so.
But besides the OP and the question...
I did not know Red Twine specified "Killer Belongings" as the hooks as well, since as stated above I never use that add-on... mainly because the only time I ever used maps was when I was using a Rainbow map.
And, if you used this in a KYFs, it's a better idea to use a Rainbow Map RATHER than a simple map with a wasted add-on slot to track the hooks. That doesn't mean Boss's idea is terrible, it just means there are better alternatives to use which benefits the SWFs a lot more.
While also not ever using that add-on, at first glance the add-on never specifies that it also tracks the hooks... since its specification is under "Killers Belongings" which could mean many things. Is this the Killers chest? The basement hooks? the hooks themselves? All of the above? I wouldn't know.
Regardless, I was just memeing him anyways, despite being wrong.
My suggestion also include the Rainbow Map.
I put in the regular Map + Add-on to inform the alternative in case they didn't have a Rainbow Map and wanted to do this in ranked mode.

I generally like seeing Auras appear.

The start of EGC.

While they have increased their staff size they haven't done anything out of the ordinary with the game. The only "big updates" we had were the ingame shop and now the rift both of which are meant for microtransactions. We still don't have a second gamemode nor have we had events, progress on dedicated servers is sluggish at best and optimisation on console is non-existant. The only thing I really notice a difference in is the rate they pump out cosmetics. New killers have been consistently released every 3 months so I'm really scratching my head at what all this new staff is doing except for making new skins.
No clue, you'd have to ask them.
All i know is that throwing money away would mean nothing at all would've been added, ordinary or not.
-
You did minimal editing, but i love it, Trapper's voice.
-
It's written down as a reportable offense in the in-game reports.
-
From personal experience, i can't relate at all to the pure negative experience some say they're having.
-
Sure.
-
She bores me in the same way Trapper does.

But the population doesn't seem to have grown.
People buy and play the game, but the game itself seems to have difficulty retaining players.
I can only assume this by how the steam charts are relatively static when it comes to the average player statistic.
Seems like it, I would like to see it gain and keep more.
It may also bring people back.
-
Hmm, that's still a thing, huh?
Anyway, i'm experiencing Wraith's no-longer-existing super-lunge, and it's really not fun.
-
Wraith.
Idk, i guess i like sneaky sneaky snea-
BING BONG!
Build?
Uhh, pretty much no Terror Radius Perks, unless you wanna meme with "The Beast".
Exposed Perks work well since he can only injure them with M1, and unlike a lot of Killer changes recently, his special attack, Surprise Attack, still counts as a basic attack, meaning Exposed works.
-
Probably.
You might want to have 1 guy with a Rainbow Map though, or Map + Red Twine, so they can communicate the locations of Hooks.
-
Plague has to lift Survivors with both hands to bring them up to just below her face.
Shape lifts them higher than his head with one hand.

Sometimes, people overreact.
Other times, no matter how many times you face them in all kinds of ways to counter them, they will still seem and/or feel out of place.
There's nothing wrong with calling either out.

30 months?
That doesn't sound very cool.

I guess that's what happens when you make a good game...
That was a reference to their funds before Fortnite.
-
But if NOED is basekit, and then you equip Hex: Haunted Ground & 3 other Hex Perks, then those Hex Perks take up all Totems and then there's no room for NOED anymore. 🤔

Sure they can. Just make the threshold high enough that "IRL interruption" isn't really a plausible excuse.
Sounds too risky.
-
The point is to not have them waste 5 minutes of your time.
-
Since everyone is always allowed to try to escape the hook in the first phase, and since struggling can be interrupted by things such as real-life situations, they can't really ban for it.
Which is why i'm now fully for an automatic struggle in phase 2, so that they at least can't skip a minute.
-
I always figured it'd be cool if:
- Every time she throws a Hatchet, she gains +1% movement speed.
- It can't go higher than +5% in total.
- Grabbing new Hatchets sets it back to 0%.
-
Yes they do!
In my experience at least.
I farmed 1 challenge, and they knew exactly what i wanted, so they helped.

Wondering where all that skin money from dbd is going. Probably down the drain aswell as they want to squeeze some more money out of you by making the already 10 euro battlepass so grindy.
Pay for house, food & family, put it in funds for the game and increase dev team size?
Nah, they must be flushing it down the toilet. 😜
-
I like how Wraith & Clown work.
Though they may be on the weaker side of Killers, i don't want to rework how they work, i like how they work, i'd much prefer buffs.
They're finished with Legion for now they say, so voting for that feels useless.
I like how Ghost Face & Spirit are right now.
I recognize some people like how Cannibal plays, but there's balance issues, gameplay issues, equipment issues, plus he feels like someone else's school project, then edited just enough so the teacher won't notice.
I like his character: I love the scream in the Mori and i love the Mori in general, way more than Hillbilly's.
But since such things never change in reworks, i can confidently vote for him to be reworked, i'm really not happy with him right now.
-
Nea.
Be friends with Nea equals be friends with the Entity.
-
Well i wish i could re-vote.
I still don't really care about the rest, but just from playing i went higher.

What I meant is that if that if something doesn't goes worse, goes better, if goes better, means more support and money. Sorry if It looked like a child thing now that I re-read it, it's almost 3 am
No no, it's fine, i truly only wanted to put out there that i'm not against neat lil things and improvements.
I'm not a business guy, but even i can understand that at least some of these would be a no-brainer to add.
But DbD started so small in comparison, they didn't have something like Unreal Engine to be used by oh so many big companies.
They also couldn't consider dedicated servers a viable option, but the game just kinda blew up in popularity.
Of course this also blew up in their faces, but that's easy to say in hindsight, the decision seemed pretty reasonable at the time.
Not really sure where i'm going with this, so i guess i'll just do a summary...
The ideas? Sure, most sound great to have!
I'm certain they already have some of these in mind though.
On the other hand, i still dislike that some players can't see red Auras for example because they are colorblind to it, and that Aura could be a vital thing you need to see, but we can't change it because...?
Don't quote me on this, but memory tells me that one of the reasons they stated was that the Aura could be set to be too bright, or that they would get confused with the different Aura colors they set them as?
Which of course doesn't make sense cause you can just learn the colors you set, and Auras are supposed to help you get information so them being bright only helps that goal, which is why i say "Don't quote me", it's only what i remember.
Wow, i go off track again, my apologies to your 3 AM brain.
Uhh okay, final bit, seriously: Good, but they probably wanna do some of these but can't (right now), others idk why they aren't a thing yet.

Would make it a worse game??? No
Indeed, but that's not what i asked.
Btw, i'm not trying to be like as if i would be against these things.
And i know you didn't say that, just putting that out there.
I've been wanting something for the colorblind for years now, mostly being able to customize Aura color.
Since Auras are supposed to be: "Hey, can i have your attention?!", i don't see what the big deal would be if regular players set all their Auras to pure white, which would make them as bright as can be.
And if players get confused because of the different Aura colors, then they only have themselves to blame and either switch back or learn the new colors.

DbD is still very popular, also one of the most viewed games om twitch.
The reason why fortnite has millions to back up, is that thy hey did right on every choice. Instead of canceling it when it was in the #########, devs added the battle royale, they also listened to the community, and made the game better and better and made what people liked. Dbd can always do the same.
Yes?
These changes listed here will make it earn millions each month?
-
Having as many people at 50 as possible before you start Prestiging is always good, leaves you with as many people to choose from as possible while you're busy Prestiging that one character.
-
Turns out there's a lot you can do with hundreds of millions backing you up.
-
Severed Toe & Rubbing Oil.
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
-
Memorial Flower & Dead Rabbit.
I have a weird image in my head of Shape chasing you with flowers in one hand and a dead rabbit in the other.

I don't like Exhaustion Perks one bit, but i think Exhaustion is fine.

It was pretty good, got to have some steak for dinner, had coconut cream pie for desert and I only asked for money this year and got exactly that but I also got new shoes so that was a surprise.
I'm guessing your dinner wasn't steak. XD
Hah, i do like steak, but it ain't my favorite. 😋

There's too much negativity as is, I'll ALWAYS try and be a positive influence. How was your Christmas by the way?
Good, though it's technically still going on here, we have 2 days, but we just celebrate it on 1 day and do nothing on the other one.
Ate my favorite meal for dinner, which makes it hard for anyone to make me feel any kind of negative.
Other than that, i guess it was like any day i have off, but i enjoy those too.
How about you?
-
Yeah, but only to others or yourself.
When everyone runs it, then yes indeed.
