I expect a more of the same as far as base challenges - do x generators, heal x survivors, use this or that item..
I hope there will be more challenges related to killer/survivors perks and maybe some using killer add-ons.
The real problem is that there is nothing much to do in DbD speaking about objective: survivors must do generators, heal, save, maybe cleanse totem, killers need to hook survivors. A Tome based around Wraith, for example, won't have much to work on - Predator, Shadowborn, Bloodhound... what can you do with those, aside for "kill 4 survivors using x perk"?
I expect Predator would have something like: "Be in a chase for [VALUE] seconds using Predator."
Bloodhound would be: "Hit [VALUE] Survivors from Healthy to Injured using Bloodhound."
Shadowborn is a really good question though.
The best i can think of is: "Trigger [VALUE] chases using Shadowborn."
-
Well Perk challenges are probably gonna make a big difference.
There'll be stuff like: "Kill your Obsession once the Exit Gates are powered using Rancor."
Or: "Get stunned 10 times while using Enduring."
Or: "Trigger Dance With Me 3 times while in a chase."

Yeah I didn’t no that’s why I did say I may have missed info sayin we don’t have one

It’s a quote from scoorge, the film ?
Oh, yeah i know the movie, but i don't remember that.
-
Seems like an easy fix, just remove one of the 2 railings.
-
What if you run out?
-
I'm not actually doing it, but i'd probably finish the trial.
It's still Bloodpoints.
-
This actually made me go "awww".
-
Bahh humbug?
-
Apparently, Claudette + Max is a thing.
-
Opinion time! Yay!
Hex: Devour Hope
Yes, but a big caviat is still the Totem spawns.
I actually find most of them to be fine nowadays, but there are still some insane spots today which baffle me, like the Totem just out in the open on Crotus Prenn Asylum.
People also still report that they can't even get to their Totem in time while they immediately went for it.
Which shouldn't be part of the risk btw, the risk should be that you fail to defend it, not that you can't immediately get to it in time.
As for the Perk itself, lol: +5% movement for 10 seconds, not even a bonus, it'll get you a hit in a loop maybe once in a blue moon.
It has 2 big strengths, one is the sudden reveal of its existence, usually announced with the 1-hit bonus.
Its 2nd strength is the fear of its development, let it go on for too long and the Killer will start deleting you.
Not even Ebony Memento Mori + Hex: No One Escapes Death can be as strong as this Perk: A Killer could ignore you for the first 5 Tokens, and then they could suddenly 1-hit you and kill you just like that.
But funny enough, i never ever get any complaints about me using this Perk.
So sometimes it'll get cleansed early, sometimes it won't.
Which is why i'd recommend to equip Perks that do well with, but more importantly, well without Devour Hope.
Take Barbecue & Chili for example: Hooked someone? Great, here's your next target so you immediately know where to go and be more 24 meters away from the Hook.
Make Your Choice also oddly pairs well: Go away, have them trigger MYC AND give you a Token on DH, get the 1-hit on the unhooker, hook them, repeat, and you'll either get DH's permanent 1-hits, or you can still use MYC afterwards.
I think i'll stop there, i always fanboy over Devour Hope.
I don't even look at it as a good or bad Perk, i just thoroughly love to use it.
Btw, especially stealth Killers should love the 1-hit bonus: Coming up to someone and just completely denying a chase is huge and, to me, oddly satisfying.
Hex: Haunted Ground
Sorta, i find other 1-hit Perks often better, like Make Your Choice, gives me more control.
I always dislike it when i'm in a chase with an Injured Survivor and then someone pops it.
It can also be a great immediate down, hence why my judgment is "sorta".
Hex: Huntress Lullaby
No, and buffing it might create problems with other Skill Check Perks & Doccy.
Hex: No One Escapes Death
Yes, though i generally dislike late-game Perks.
Hex: The Third Seal
No, but it's not the Perk's fault, it's Blindness which just sucks.
And not because it's weak but because of how it works.
Removing Auras definitely isn't a small thing, you're disabling 15 Perks, but it often seems to matter little to the experienced Survivor.
The worst it can do nowadays is probably prevent the buffed Kindred, which is a big deal, but still, the experienced Survivor will know what to do.
Hex: Thrill of the Hunt
Not on its own, literally meant for Hex Perk builds.
The reason that Ruin is this popular is partially because it's immediate, and it affects progression, which can go real fast with the right Survivors and the wrong Killer.
I'm not saying that, for example, Dying Light & Thanatophobia suck in comparison, but one thing that they aren't is immediate, and i know a lot of people can agree that a good early game is pretty important.
You equip Ruin, and boom: Everyone is affected immediately.
Opinion time's over!

Oh!
So when you press that little button at the Charms section of your cosmetics, it zooms in on that specific Charm to give you a good look at it.
I want a little button like that on the Store for Killer weapons.
When clicked, you get a first-person view of that Killer with that specific weapon cosmetic equipped.
Can also put that in your cosmetic inventory I guess.
-
Cool.

The hoof at the end of it misleads me to believe it's a spine.
Well there's also that cog on it, but it's not a clock. 😜
Btw, i'm moreso...intrigued by the headpiece.
Wraith always had odd skin (you can see it's pretty much the actual color black on some torso pieces), but here he looks made of stone.
I love it btw, his cosmetics often make me feel he's one of the more supernatural Killers.
I mean, he wears wax and actually lights a candle on it. 😂

It just seems to the the leg of a Deer, that's why I use it with my Wraith skin combo.
I went for that, "Wendigo in a suit" type combo.
The description mentions a spine though, and branches are carved into it.

The axe is the best thing from that outfit, at least to me that is.
Unlike the standard weapon which has metal parts to keep the bones in place, this looks like just bone with 1 cog to keep the blade in place, which seems to be a sharp bit of bone.
It makes me wonder what kind of creature this could belong to.
I mean, the description says "branches", but that spine looks so jagged.

Yeah but... that's like, 7k Auric Cells from tier 1?
I forget how much that is in real dollars, 70$ I think?
Yup, which is where the "technically" comes in.
-
-
Technically yes, since you can simply buy all tiers.
That'll cost you a lot though.
-
Iridescent Age.
-
Nah.
-
Still weirds me out how some don't get 3 pieces of 1 outfit.
-
I don't think anything of them, i'm not gonna base my opinion of people just on what gear they use.
-
Too early to say.
-
To get their Perks.
-
Since all Survivors are the same in almost every way, like @ocafghanistan said, this description is based on their unique Perks.
-
Probably Otz, i already liked his attempts at DS2 No Hit before his conversion to DbD.
Though i generally don't watch any content creators on this game, much prefer to play it myself and find out stuff myself.
-
I'm doing like usual.
-
I like it.
-
Honestly, Immersion & Ez games are pretty close to me.
Immersion is easy: You can play solo as Survivor, but not doing anything at all means pretty much anyone else would've been a better replacement.
I would forgive newbies of course.
Ez games however is also not my favorite: The game's over super fast, maybe faster than the time i spent in the main menu, there would've been pretty much no room for more excitement than maybe 1 chase.
Those are not fun to me, no matter "how much we trashed the Killer, lololol".
So anyone demanding the perfect plays of me and those specific 4 Perks is demanding something that won't happen.
-
Ohey, i remember a thread like this before.
And i'll give the same answer, cause i still like the idea.
Wraith's Madness
Successful Surprise Attacks will now raise the hit Survivor's Madness level by 1.
- Madness I makes the Skill Checks sometimes be in a random position, there's no need to make them scream and reveal their position as getting hit already makes them make noise & you already know their position.
- Madness II makes the chance bigger for Skill Checks to be in a random position, and instead of just placing a Killer hallucination, that hallucination now does the uncloak animation.
- Madness III makes Skill Checks pretty much always be in random locations, has the hallucinations thing, but you, as Wraith, can now see the Auras of those hallucinations uncloaking, they'll regularly scream which will reveal their location & they can't do certain actions until they Snap Out Of It.

thanks my friend pushed him out of the loop by running into the trapper guess he was able to push him out and the guy let him go.
Well, glad to see everyone was nice in the end. 😊
-
Okay, you can report that here: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/categories/bug-reports
-
The Survivor that i wouldn't miss is whoever is the loudest when getting hooked.
As for Killers, probably Nurse, Plague a close 2nd.
-
They will not be affected by that system, but a completely AFK player is reportable.
-
Way too early to say, i gotta see what's on the Rift first.

But you know, joey and susie are paid skins, sooo??
But your idea is great! 🤗
Hence the last 3 sentences of my post.
Thanks btw. 😊
-
You can always make it harder on yourself.
Y'know, putting limitations on your gear, or rules on your actions.
-
Done, toughest for me was 2 endgame kills with NOED equipped.
-
I'll take this map over Blood Lodge any day, that's for sure.
-
Probably none, but Hillbilly would be the closest.

What are you trying to get at? I'm not mentioning anybody, I'm just saying an IF. And how do you exactly know they will have exactly 0 impact on us? Or better yet the "Devs" at Behavior? You don't know, I don't, but that is not the point. I don't know why you're trying to bring up something that I didn't even mention.
I know it wouldn't have an impact cause it's common sense based on knowledge I have.
How do you exactly know all other devs would laugh?
We both don't know.
I didn't bring up anything new btw, but even if I did, it was still within the context of our discussion, so I don't know why you have to bring that up.
-
It seems to me the devs are happy with leaving Decisive Strike's stun, which was increased due to Enduring affecting it back then, at 5 seconds, even though Enduring now doesn't affect Decisive Strike.
2.5 is microscopic though, that would remind me of the days where DS was close to useless against Enduring.
-
Guess you're in Freddy's nightmare.
-
I've always liked the idea that Legion's Power is to switch between the 4 members by switching your mask to a different one.
And the 4 members would each specialize in a Bloodpoint category.
- Frank = Brutality
- Julie = Deviousness
- Susie = Hunter
- Joey = Sacrifice
Btw, i'm not familiar at all with Legion's lore, so if you think, for example, Susie is the most devious, then okay.
But you'd start as Frank, cause idk, he's the standard cosmetic.
- Frank would recover faster from successful hits.
- Julie would have half the normal Terror Radius size.
- Susie would have a higher movement speed.
- Joey would gain all other Legion members' benefits temporarily if he hooks someone. (Switching masks would cancel it if it's still active.)
These are examples, but it's about the idea: Everyone has their lil benefit, and you may want one over the other in certain situations.
I would like to imagine you can switch masks while moving at full speed, but i seriously can't guess if that's balanced or not, so that's completely open for debate.
This rework is quite impossible though, and one reason is the cosmetics.
Being able to switch like that means different masks AND bodies.
Not only would there have to be 4 masks in 1 cosmetic piece, the same would go for the bodies.

Nemesis was better, because it was always swapped to someone you were already in a chase with.
Probably, don't have that on Wraith yet.
-
Can't speak for the Survivor ones, but i flew right through the Killer ones.
Furtive Chase was used for once.
-
No, but i can see why they can trigger strong reactions: They're pretty rare nowadays.
If it doesn't happen a lot, and then it happens, especially when you need it, i can see some people not liking that at all.
-
I was here before the meta, i'm here during it, and i'll be here afterwards.
Well, as long as i find Wraith this fun to play as.
devs pls fix his super-lunge, thx

I get pretty much my own ranks, someone's SWF buddy sometimes higher/lower than me.
