Honestly, it feels different this time. The complete lack of regard the devs give the killer experience is downright blatant. Today it was shown in their actions and words. If people stop playing killer, this game dies. Simple as that.
You're not gonna like this, but it feeling different to some people also isn't a first to me, but here DbD still is.
And yes, you can't have this game without Killers, same goes for Survivors & developers, that's a given.

Nah. I'm gone. Part of the reason im quitting this game is because ive done everything in this game so much that its boring. Over 3 years is a lot of time to do stuff. On top of that, this community makes my stomach hurt sometimes... Like literally. I can't lie a major factor in my departure is because poor decisions of the devs. Granted not everyone can be happy about everything, but some stuff amazes me how they continue to f*ck up again and again. The devs track record hasn't changed and makes me have less faith everytime. I don't really care about the ruin change, but its definitely going to have a major negative impact on the community while also the game. Maybe ill try in a year and see if things are what I've been hoping for. Honestly, i just don't want to play anymore.

I never use Hex: Ruin, and i pretty much only use other Killers for Daily Rituals & Tome Challenges, so my gameplay is not affected at all, so i'm gonna keep playing.

IF Ruin was so important to the game balance, then they shouldn't be doing the nerf now, and wait until all balance changes involved with Ruin are ready.

I just go for max., cause i feel like that's always the case with me.
When i play Pig for Dailies though, it's usually the opposite, the timer disappears mighty fast from their HUD icon.

F13 is a game where parts are split across the map, counsellors all have different stats and Jason can literally insta kill you by catching you.
Imagine not being able to fight back and just getting insta killed. Fun game right?

They didn't like it cancelling most of the stun time on stun Perks, but they couldn't just nerf the number or it'd be mediocre as hell on Pallet stuns.
Still funny how the stun time of those stun Perks is still like this, which were made this high as a first attempt to fight Enduring.
Now with Enduring not even affecting them anymore, you'd think they'd go down again...

It wasn't about balance.
Just being able to attack the Killer removes the feeling of the role for me.
I already greatly dislike getting stunned, though i dislike that in every game that has it.

I prefer solo cause i won't have to depend on friends being online and playing it.
Also, i prefer it cause i won't be pressured into playing more.
Y'know, sometimes i wanna spend those BP or check the Archives, or browse here.
Also also, i feel like a cheater when i talk with them.
And i would respond, as i'd find it dickish to not do that, but i'd still feel like a cheater, even though it's allowed.
I don't mind others doing it, but telling someone where a Hex Totem's at while i lead the Killer away, yeah i don't feel right with stuff like that.
Also also also, my playstyle just doesn't fit with most other players.

I play a lot of wraith too, like you said he seems to get near max BP in most categories even against a good team. Getting 8 hooks and zero kills is actually my goal in most games especially during BP events. I like to see all five players get 20+ thousand base

I don't switch Killers for 2x BP, i stay on Wraith.
His Deviousness is super easy, i get quite the amount of hooks with Make Your Choice, i often break Pallets & he only M1s, and i start & end lots of chases due to the cloaking mechanism.
B&C equipped too.
I refuse to use "The Beast" - Soot, it may boost Deviousness gains, but i find that to be the easiest category to get 8k by standard, and the negative of the Add-on can hurt my gains in other BP categories.
No Distressing, no Hex: Thrill of the Hunt, and no Beast of Prey.

Ehh, there's been bad decisions since the beginning. (Such as long, long ago: "Infinites take skill.")
It may be a symptom, but it's not been a deathblow to the game so far.

@SpaceCoconut and i actually talked about this, how the game sells actually very well according to Steam's best-selling games of 2019, but that the Steam records show no signs of the player count steadily rising, which can mean that people quickly tune out again.
There's probably also people who bought it long ago and at some point just stop, but with sales that high, there's gotta be more than just long-time players quitting.
